Nomura
Probably...FMA. It's dramatic, funny, action packed, etc. etc. It has everything. :animesmil How can somebody not like an anime about a runt and a big peice of armor?
Saya
[Hey that's not fair, the poll suddenly got more options as I posted! :) Oh well my response is more or less for the old poll] As for Adult Swim I loved Wolf's Rain and Bebop while they were on, I've tried to get into FMA but it's never on when I'm available... I have a feeling though I'd like it quite a bit. It does seem to have an intense plot and the like. Along the same lines Samurai Champloo seems to be really awesome too (only caught a few episodes of it due to time constraints on my part). But I do think out of the two options in the poll I'm going to say Samurai Champloo (awesome music mixed with cool characters and plot devices - while I don't know the "main storyline" if there is one, I have to say just the snippets I saw rocked). In my opinion Inuyasha doesn't even come close. I was once a big Inuyasha fan, looked over the poor dubbing, the cheesy dialogue, and loved the characters and story? but it lost a die hard fan with the release of its last movie in addition with the prolonged show (it should have either been ended a while ago or simply just end, it goes on way too long for my liking). Family Guy comes in second, just damn funny and I know one of the key animators on the show I believe ? regardless, the characters rock and it?s just downright cool. Sealab is funny too but not quite on the same level as Family Guy. But nothing goes on my X-Mas list beside Wolf's Rain, nothing else is worth buying really (*kisses Netflix yet again*)
Dagger
Look, saiyukigod, it doesn't make any sense to ask one question in the thread and a totally different one in the poll. I've edited the poll options to reflect the topic actually being discussed here. It would become unwieldy if we included every single AS anime ever, so I opted to just put up those I know to be currently airing. I'm sure I probably forgot something, so anyone should feel free to send a PM my way if you notice that a current show is missing. I voted for Fullmetal Alchemist. It's actually the only AS series I watch with any regularity, since I've been sticking to the DVDs for Samurai Champloo and Ghost in the Shell TV. I would have tried to keep up with s-CRY-ed, but my summer trip interrupted it just one episode in. Since I really liked what I saw of it, at this point I may as well just buy the re-release rather than try to catch up with the TV broadcast. ~Dagger~
Nomura
Yeah...Big O, Gigantor are on AS. You must've missed 'em. :animesmil
Guest kuroinuyoukai
I like both GITS and Inuyasha.. I like GITS for its plot and characters and I like Inuyasha for the same things.
Stark
It's a tie between FMA and Samurai Champloo for me, currently. I'll always love Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and FLCL, but they're not on all the time. I can live with these two. I did like s-CRY-ed, but I was upset when they pushed it back an hour or so. It's on too late for me to catch now! :animecry: But that is definently up there on my list. I'll just have to get my hands on the DVDs because I've missed too much to catch up on now. Magus
No Cowboy Bebop? Meh, oh well. Guess I have to move onward. The only shows I really look at on adult swin are Samurai Champloo and Ghost in the Shell. I watch Full Metal Alchemist every now and then. Which leads me to this:
How can somebody not like an anime about a runt and a big peice of armor?
Never ask this again. Atleast not when I'm around because I could disappoint you. InuYasha - "sighs" I'll skip this one. I've ranted about this one enough. Scryed - I caught this one near the middle of the series I guess, but from what I've seen. I want to say it's cheesy, but it also had my interest as well. I won't judge this one because I have to check this one out from the beginning. Ghost in the Shell - One of the only reasons why I watch Adult Swim. Maybe it's just me, but I tend to do the "what if" thing with this show. (You know, what if we had a future that turned out like that) The animation is way above average IMO. I enjoy the music. (I won't say I enjoy the 2nd intro theme as much as the 1s though) Action is nice... I don't really have any negatives about this show. Samurai Champloo - I'm a sucker for samurai animes. I'll say this now. I'm not fond of comedy in animes.(Other than Vandread) But this one had me crackin up. Anyways, just like GitS, this is the same.... nice animation, music, VA such a such.... Full Metal Alchemist - I started out liking this until 1 episode. (1st episode dealing with chimera's) And then another episode with animals dying..... That's not exactly my cup of tea. Evangelion - Shinji messes everything up for me in this show. I guess if I had to choose between Ghost in the Shell and Samurai Champloo.... It would probably be Ghost in the Shell. EVA Unit 100
Fullmetal is the best, but Champloo, Stand Alone Complex, and Evangelion all have moments of greatness. But HOW could this poll have overlooked Paranoia Agent? I can see it now... Kino: My journey is aimless. Maniwa: My quest is impossible! Kino: Hermes is my only friend. Maniwa: All of my friends have gone insane! Kina: But it is a bearable way of life. Maniwa: What the F**K are you saying!?! Can you honestly stand having an average of 10 viewers!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! If you don't get it, that makes it all the more true for the rest of us. Kenshin DX
Paranoia Agent hands down. I love this anime, however alot of adult swim viewers hated it so it was first pushed back and then pulled *sigh*.. Anyway Scryed and Champloo are now my current favs.
Shane12_01
I would say Eva. but I already seen it many times (and loved it). so I find my self watching Inuyasha curently :p .
Starwind
I had to vote S-cry-ED. I love most of those series, but the characters in S-cry-ED are just more interesting then most. Don't get me wrong, I love Full metal and Samurai champloo and all those. I can't help it, Kauma is the coolest anime character ever. Sorry if anyone gets pissed.
