PWNED
The young strategiest lay on the hard bed in the cramped prison cell as he stared at the roof moodily; He was yet to even be out of his teens and here he was, Accused of murdering a family of nobles even though he didn't do it. As if they'd believe me, Hallden thought as he looked at the rune on his right hand which had appeared a month ago. This Rune was nothing but trouble yet he couldn't get rid of it. It all started when this... thing appeared He found himself thinking and for damn good reason too. Ever since those pirates had attacked that long ago his life had taken a turn for the worst because of what happened. Hallden dismissed these thoughts and concentrated on the matter at hand, Just before he saw the Nobles killed by a dark figure they were demanding to know where the bearer of the Massacre Rune was. I don't even know if what I bear is the Massacre Rune He was jarred back to his senses when two people entered through the door of his cell, he recognized them as the commander of the knights of Southport and his very own mother Dailon or Dailo Schluden. "Stand to attention" Ordered the Knight as Hallden pulled himself off of the bed and stood to face his mother. "Is that anyway for a strategiest to act?" questioned his mother as they stared at each other. Hallden cocked an eyebrow as he thought of this You can't talk, You were accused of High Treason then shook his head. "So" said Dailo as she observed his silence "You think that you are above the law by murdering a group of innocent nobles?" "No" whispered Hallden as his face burned with anger, his own mother thought that he did it; " It was another person wearing all black" Dailo snorted as she heard this and answered "Yes, Always someone wearing full black clothing, hmm? Halldens fist clenched as he slid off the glove on his right hand and raised it so that the back of his hand faced towards his mother while she gasped in horror at what he bore. "The Massacre Rune....." Dailo whispered as she looked at the markings before recoiling when the Rune pulsed which brought her son to his knees. She thought for a moment then leant down towards her son and whispered to him " I'll see that you will be exiled instead of executed" before getting to her feet and leaving along with the knight. Hallden looked up through bleary eyes as his mother left him in the dark again and muttered sarcastically "And Exile is that much better then getting executed before he blacked out from the pain in his hand.
Kuroshin13
Ash Kilnsmoke, adventurer and Dwarf extraordinaire sat on a barstool in the local tavern. She was listening to the latest news and such, taking a pleased sip of her drink. Not bad, not bad at all for a Human mix of Spirits. It was her third of the evening, and she had been questioned more than once if it was wise to drink as such. Apparently some were not used to seeing how well a Dwarf could hold his liquor. Some of the patrons were talking about that kid again, the one who allegedly killed off the family of nobles. Many rumors floated about that more than likely stretched the tale a bit. But why would a kid with a future like that high treason of nowhere in the final weeks before graduation? If that part was true. It posed a pretty problem, one that made Ash grow very curious. Things didn't add up. 'Maybe I'll pay a small visit. I think I smell those Rune Hunter bastards, or something equally as baffling. If anything, perhaps we?ll be lucky to put a wondering mind at ease.' The dwarf downed the rest of her drink neatly in one shot, placing some money on the bar for her payment. Making sure she had her things about her and didn't forget anything, the dwarf left the tavern to make her way through the streets to the Jailhouse. Nomura
Xsuyoh jumped from treetop to treetop in the Prison woods. Just because he was a halfa, didn't mean he wasn't capable of such things. Closer... Closer... He was getting closer and closer to the Prison. He would break his friend Hallden out, if it was the last thing he did. He pulled his work goggles over his eyes, and pulled out a machine he had made, years before. The Blow Torch, he would call it. He crept up to the Prison wall, and began to wait and listen. He walked along the wall, until he heard a voice. A loud, screaming argumental voice. Dailo's voice. And if Dailo was screaming at anybody, it would be Hallden. Xsuyoh waited, until the argument stopped, and the sound of the cell door closing. He waited a little more, until he was sure everybody was gone, except Hallden. He pressed the "Blow Torch" against the thick stone wall, and made sure there was just enough Gun Powder. He lit a match and stuck it down a hole in the top of the big metal tube. Flames ignited unto the stone wall... Xsuyoh kept the flame going, until the morter, holding the stone bricks together, melted just enough, that Xsuyoh could bust through the walls... He pulled his hammer from his backpack, and began punding the wall...
Kuroshin13
Ash took a shortcut to the Jailhouse, coming around the back way through the woods. A boy trying to break through the wall caught her attention. What that contraption he was trying to use? She approached casually with interest as the kid started to use a hammer on the stone. "What're you doing? Don't worry, I'm not going to tell anyone," she said in a rather gruff voice, making her sound more like a male dwarf. "I'm getting my friend out." "This friend wouldn't by any chance have the name Hallden, would he?" "How'd you know?" "Questions later. Let me help you with that." She pulled out her axe Hanmarhead, and started to help the kid break through the weakened wall. A short while later an opening was created that people could pass through.
PWNED
Before Ash arrived Hallden awoke to hear a tapping noise on the bricks outside of his cell; He did not even have to look to realize that it was a prison escape attempt. "Hallden" said the muffled voice of the person on the outside and he realized that it was indeed his friend Xsuyoh. Hallden pulled himself off the floor, stumbled over to the wall, and started to pull on one of the loose stones. He heard a gruff voice asking what Xsuyoh was doing and Xsuyoh explaniation before Xsuyoh and the other person set to work freeing Hallden. Once the hole was large enough Hallden pulled himself through the small hole and dusted himself off. Hallden was aware of the dwarf that was looking him up and down while Xsuyoh was soaking up his own talent. "What are you doing here?" Hallden questioned Xsuyoh, it was incredibly dangerous to wander around this area because of the pirates that occasionaly attacked. Xsuyoh rolled his eyes and muttered to the Dwarf next to him " He's a bit thick for a strategiest isn't he?, which bought an amused snort from the Dwarf. Hallden glared at the two then introduced himself to the dwarf while the dwarf introduced itself as Ash Kilnsmoke. The trio set off for the coast where they could stowaway on a ship away from the island but Hallden realised one thing, He had left his sword and a set of expensive Runic scrolls up at his room in the military academy. The three argued but the promise of how much the scrolls could be sold for persuaded Ash and Xsuyoh and the three set off sneakily to the Military academy that was on the other side of the town. Nomura
Xsuyoh groaned, and fell to the ground, angry. "C'mon Hall...I just got you out, and now you want me to get your stuff from the Academy?" He said, taking his goggles off his forehead. "C'mon X, you're the most agile of all three of us! You get in and back!" Hallden exclaimed, sitting on a tree stump. Xsuyoh got up, put his goggles back on, and began to walk down the path. "Where are you going?" Ash shouted at him. "Well, if we're gonna get that stuff from the military, we need to do it before next week... It may take two or three days for us to get there..." Xsuyoh grumbled. The three walked the path, until they came to an Inn. They had a drink, and settled in for a goodnight's sleep. Xsuyoh wasn't sleeping at all. His bed was sooo uncomfortable. Quitely, he got up and stretched. Then, he heard something outside his window. He glanced out the window, and lost his breath. Something outside his window was moving. He opened his window, and pered out into the night. A cloaked man was running away from the window, carrying Xsuyoh's backpack full of weapons and tools. "Hey!" Xsuyoh shouted, and jumped out his window. The cloaked man, turned around, and shot a dart at Xsuyoh. The blow dart gun! Xsuyoh's weapon! Xsuyoh fell to the ground unconccious. Kuroshin13
Ash wasn't sleeping; she just didn't feel as if she could. Walking around outside for the fresh air, she heard a shout and turned to look at the commotion. It was the kid Xsuyoh, yelling at the figure running with a pack full of things. She watched it turn and shoot the guy with his own invention, and then took the cloaked thief by surprise as he started to run again. Tripping the figure, he stumbled and dropped Xsuyoh's things on the ground as he took off again, being outmaneuvered into a very bad position. The Dwarf picked up the fallen possessions, taking an admiring note to the craftsmanship as glanced with her excellent vision in the dim darkness. Not bad. Not as good as a Dwarf could do, but decent nonetheless. She figured to ask him after he'd waken up. Crossing back over to Xsuyoh she took a small canister of a liquid out of a pocket. Sitting the kid up, she placed the open container under his nose for a moment to allow the strong smell to wake him up with a jolt that almost sent her drink flying onto the ground. "What was that stuff?" Xsuyoh had wrinkled his nose a bit from how strong the Spirit was. "Watch it, you almost spilled my drink," Ash replied reproachfully. "My Backpack! ?" Ash cut him off before he could say anything further about the theft. "Relax, it's safe," she said handing him his bag.
