Soliel
Wow! Popular thread, and just like oblivious old me to miss it. I'll admit I didn't read every post, but how come it seems like all the mods are younger than me?! Anyways... My name is Alex, short for Alexandra, but call me that and you die  ! I'm 20, and I can't wait to turn 21 next Jan. I was born and raised in New Orleans, that's right, New Orleans. My house miraculously survived Katrina, and things are very, VERY slowly starting to return to some sense of normal. I'm currently living in Ruston, LA which is located in north Louisiana, where I'm in my second (sophomore) year at Louisiana Tech University. I'm majoring in pre-Veterinary Medicine. I love animals just as much as I love anime. I have three brothers and no sisters. One younger bro, one younger step-bro, and one older step-bro. I'm an aquarius, my blood type is A-, and I was born in the year of the Tiger. Anything else? :catgirl:
Ol' Fighter
My name on otaku is Lonley Fighter I've been called a lone wolf for all my life to be honest... (I totally spelled lonely wrong :animeswea ) but my real name is Martel but my friends call me Yukiame and that's Japanese for I think snow/rain because I'm just like the two of those elements I'm 16 and I'm what I like to call a "pure blooded aquarius" meaning I have 100% of the aquariuses nature I"m from Grand Rapids a not so popular city in Michigan I'm a rather sincere person along with being: nice, honest, and loyal my bad side I can be cold hearted at times when I become angry, the things I enjoy are mainly reading in solitude and relaxing and because I'm so relaxed I really don't talk to people much so I'm not very good at sociating with people.... :animedepr :animesigh
saru-miha
Name:Camille I'm a girl. 14, though supposedly I'm mature for my age. I have a brother and a sister, both in college, my sister is about to graduate. They don't live in my town. I go to a Catholic school at the moment, but I hate it here...I know everyone hates school...but I mean I REALLY hate it here. My parents hate the place also, so I'm leaving after the year ends. I have wierd self esteem issues. I guess you can say more social issues than anything. Even online I'm shy and probably won't talk to you first, but I love making friends. So if ya wanna chat...whatever. The emails saru_miha@yahoo.com. From then I'll give you my aim and whatever. But I have confidence when entering art work in contests and stuff..just have a hard time talking to people, being around people, having people look at me...looking at other people...even in my family...yep. More social issues than anything. I'm trying really hard to change, I really want to be known more, not just happen be there. Favorite anime? I dunno, probably Hellsing or Trigun..Akira..they're all awesome. Favorite Manga? Azumanga Daioh. I've died laughing at that one. Music is my life. I started playing the piano around fourth grade, and started playing guitar about a year ago. I used to have a teacher, but now I'm just teaching myself. I can play the ukulele fairly well, and I have two harmonicas that I'm trying to get used to. Favorite Band: Queen Favorite musician: Die (Dir en grey) Favorite song: Carnation (Janne Da Arc) Current song: Jolly Mon Sing (Jimmy Buffet) I really listen to just about anything but country and rap, and foreign rap is ok sometimes. I like pop, but can't really get into it. DDR music rocks though. It works...makes me want to dance. I live in the US, southern Louisiana. It isn't a very long drive to the gulf, I guess you'd consider my heritage cajun...but cajuns are highly stereotyped to be uneducated, unsophisticated, morons. Don't believe it. Most of us aren't. The weather is evil here. Hot and humid almost all year round. I also draw...alot. Charcoal..pastel..paint..whatever. I'm always working on something. I haven't uploaded fanart in forever though..lack of a camera/scanner. So uhm, I'm really short, pale, weigh somewhere around 95, have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, am about to get my braces taken off, about to get contacts, and always have SOMETHING around my wrists. I know, I sound like a nerd. But hey! I am. XD Star Wars <33 Favorite movie: Moon Child Favorite acting group: Monty Python

Ninjah
My name is Damaly, that's [Dom-I-lee] or [Dom-UH-lee] Whichever is easier on your tongue. And I reside in a small rural town (which is seemingly getting larger everyday) in Minnesota. Oh how I love Minnesota's funky weather. I've lived in this town for only 3 years. And I grew up in the city. So, this town isn't really, how do I say, my scene. I'm Fourteen, no really. And I am but in Junior High. Waiting for my Freshman year in Highschool. People say I'm smart for my age. But really, I'm not. They're just pretty close-minded, if I may add. Or just haven't seen kids my age and younger do something amazing. I can't wait to turn Fifteen and get my permit. And get my lisence at Sixteen. To be honest, I've been practicing/studying for it. I'm Female. Constantly mistaken for a man because of my androgynous look. I'm not thee most girliest girl you'll ever meet. Nor will I be the tomboy-est girl you'll meet. I'm pretty much inbetween, but lean more to the tomboy side. I have three siblings. Two older brothers and a sister. If you add up their ages (in order) you get fifty-six. My oldest brother (twenty-seven) lives down in Texas and has been serving in the marines for 8+ years and counting. He's a master in Karate and Tae Kwon Do. One of my heros really. My second oldest brother (nineteen) still lives with us and is attending Normandale Community College. He's a lazybum who sits in bed playing videogames till dawn breaks. He works at gamestop. Yaay, free game rentals from the store. My little sister (ten) seems innocent yes. But I call her "The Beast" for a reason. She's probably thee most vicious little girl you'll meet. Pretty much like Cujo, times 100. I'm a pure blooded asian. To be specific, South eastern asian. To be even more specific, Cambodian. Haha, we Cambodians make people keep guessing. We're what I like to call, the lost race. (I feel sooo bloated atm.) I have a wide variety of friends. Ranging from race to age to sexuality. I cherish all my true and good friends. I miss my one and only bestfriend. (R.I.P) I do believe in strong relationships. But just not at my age. Even though, I am involved in one at the moment. I'm not afraid to say: "I'm half gay!" if you know what I mean. So, yes. At the moment, I'm involved with my very own Japanese girl. ( I feel lucky.) I have this really big imagination so to get it down I: Draw. Sketch. Paint. Create graphics. Play music (keyboard, guitar, bass) Write stories and poetry. I'm addicted to Ragnarok btw. Uhm, I'll stop. I've become lazy.

I got an account on here with encouragement from my best friend, Alyssa, whose UserID is Zhara. 'twas the Random Facts thread that lured me in. Lol. I'm a junior in high school, I live with my friend's family (Looooooonnnnng story.), and I'll be moving in with my oldest brother in the relatively near future (also a long story.). Funny Girl
Ok, basically, this thread stems from my being at OB for a little over a year now, and still not really knowing anyone. So, I am asking: Who Are You? This encompasses many different things, such as: -Are you male or female? -Where do ya hail from, stranger? -How old are you? -Do you have siblings? And any other information you'd be willing to submit. Hopefully this will allow everyone at OB to get to know each other just a little better. For starters, I am a guy named Phil, from Reading, England, and I am 15 years old, believe it or not. I have one brother, who is also on the Boards and may end up revealing himself to you eventually. Any more for any more? I have a loser twin brother name Kevin, though I call him Kelly. I'm a sports fanatic, I spent spring break in Indiana for the Final Four and it ended up raining on me. Shy
I'm known as Shy on the boards, but everyone in the human world calls me 'Josh.' This isn't to say my online friends don't call me 'Josh,' too, but as a general rule I'd like my online friends to call me by my online name and my real-life friends to call me by my real-life name. At one point I was known as 'ShyGuy' online, and before that I was 'Shyguy511.' Over time my names become simpler and simpler, leading me to believe that in another five years I shall be known solely as 'S.' Sadly, I imagine I'll still be here in five years to prove this theory true. Much like my user names, I've been through quite a few changes in my life since joining this place (of course, any person who can go five years without any significant changes in their life isn't really living, now are they?) First and foremost, I'm a nerd the likes of which rarely see the light of day. I know a lot about Comic Books, and I know a tremendous amount about Animation. Beyond that, my obsessions are fairly diverse: including Journalism, Public Radio, Useless Trivia, and Disneyland. I often worry that I devote too much of my time to pursuing these interests, but I'm fairly certain that these will lead me to a life far more exciting than the straight-and-narrow course would provide. I rarely say much, and this gives the impression that I'm a deep, thoughtful person. Online I think this is especially true, and I think most members here have a much higher opinion of me than they would if I posted more frequently. Despite my inactivity, I have built a great circle of friends around me and I'm only sorry that I don't speak to them more often. Although I am at the ripe old age of 20 and I still live with my family. Many of my Disney friends still live at home, but everyone I still talk to from high school has moved onto bigger and better things. It is my goal to have a bigger and better thing of my own to move onto, but it's my indeciviceness and lack of initiative that hold me back. Publishing is an industry I have found myself drawn to repeatedly, and my writing is what I hope to make a living off of someday. The worst thing that ever happened to me was when I came out to one of my best friends in high school, and he wished I would go to hell. This cemented me in a sheltered emtoional state that I have been hiding in for years, afraid to give anyone the opportunity to ever really hurt me. I am trying very hard to correct this, as it is driving a rift between me and my current boyfriend of 8 months. Even with my own minor personal demons, I have made some incredible, life-changing friendships along the way. Many of them were as a result of my online activity, while most came from my two-year vacation working at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California. I consider my time there to be the best in my life so far, but it was neccessary for me to find a new road to travel and move on. My two siblings (one younger brother, and one younger sister) are nearing the age where they have begun thinking about their lives in the long-term, and although I'm much older than my sister I know I'm going to be the last child in my family to be deemed a 'success' by my parents. Through hard times and good ones they have both been incredibly supportive of me, but my quiet nature leaves me feeling disconnected from them, and everyone else I care about. I'm very uncertain of what my siblings really think of me, and while this isn't a huge concern for me right now, it's outside opinions like these that have come to indirectly shape my own perception of myself. I find that most cynics have high hopes for the world around them, but are disappointed by the results. I consider myself to be one of those people, and this disappointment follows me everywhere I go. This goes for just about everything out there, but most especially myself, my achievements, and the lack thereof. Given recent events I have refocused myself on becoming a much more sypathetic, compassionate person. It was only last week when my own indifferent ended up in the loss of not one, but two very close friendships. This makes for one more shortcoming to haunt me, but it is also one more to motivate me to do right. What also motivates me if my dissastisfaction with my current college and workplace. Six days a week I serve at the Macaroni Grill, despising every minute of it. While the pay is good, the atmosphere and clientelle leave a lot to be desired. Since I started there a few months ago my only goal has been to find long-term employment that I financially support myself with. I would like nothing more than to move away from Southern California, preferably to a large East Coast city such as New York or Washington D.C. If there is one word that would describe me after a life of California it would be 'jaded,' and I demand more from life than I can get from where I am now. Every day I wish things would get better, and every single day they do. For all of my complaining, mine is a stable life with few complications, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. -Shy :whoops:
Guest Roxey20
My name is Emma, though my online name at just about everything is Roxey20. I'm 21 and a junior in college. I'll graduate next spring with a degree in journalism and two minors, Performance Studies and Spanish. I love to write. I've written fiction on the side since I was 13, but I've come to love journalism just as much in the last few years. I'm the current asst. editor for my university paper, but I'm looking forward to being the opinions editor next year. Nothing but column writing, yay! As for siblings, I have two. A brother who's 9 about to be 10 and loves baseball, and a sister who's 17 about to be 18 that I have to talk out of going to Liberty College. My sis and I are pretty close, but that didn't really start until I left for college. Before that we bickered and fought all the time. Um, during the school year I live in Arkansas but during the summer I live with my family in south Florida. I grew up in central Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas and was born in Arkansas. (Yea, I know. My mom was restless...and I think she passed it on to me. More than anything I want to travel everywhere.) Someday I'm determined to live in New York. I fell in love with it when I visited a few years back. And yea, I guess that's kind of me in a nutshell, oh, and I'm terribly afraid of Ursula the Evil Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid. She tried to kill my family by running us over in the Disney Light Parade...*shivers* I still can't watch that movie...
Zen
My name is Mike. I really don't mind if my real name is used online, seeing as how nobody knows my last name anyways. I'm 16 right now, making this my third year on the OBs (on and off). I live in the South Carolina right now, though my location is known to change often. I am an Army brat. Because of this, I've spent a good portion of my life following my father around from place to place. While I am upset that I had to leave so many of my friends and loved ones behind EVERY time we moved, I am glad I had the opportunity to travel so much and see the world. It's because of this that I am who I am today. I'm a good people person and I also have a high respect of anyone of a different culture. My travel's have lead me all over Eastern America, Germany (where I lived for 2 1/2 years), Romania, Greece, France, and a few stops at other European countries. My father has since left the Army for the Army National Guard as a recruiter. We now have a more stable life risk free of moving again for a while. Myself in personality, I am varied person. I have an outlook on life not to take anything too seriously. I just want to enjoy myself and try to keep myself out of stress, though I find myself in it often. I enjoy writing and drawing whenever I'm feeling creative or bored. I'm also an avid gamer, otaku, and comicbook nerd. I have a deep interest in theology, mythology, history, and martial arts. I read and have read quite alot about each of those subjects. Most of this research goes into my writing. To keep myself active and for sheer enjoyment, I practice Tae Kwon Do at a do-chang (studio) down my road. I am currently a 3rd degree red belt. One more degree and I test for black. Tae Kwon Do and the pursuit of martial arts have led me to a better understanding of other people's aggresion, and have given me a great deal of confidence, which I lacked in my younger years. It's pretty fun knowing you can kick a person in the head at any moment. I'm very... strange, people say. I'm always joking around about everything. I never let a person's words personally offend me, so it's pretty hard to kill my buzz. And as 'fun' a person I may sound like, I really hate theme parks. Rollercoasters and other rides that involve me being otherwise 'out of control' of my body tend to scare the hell out of me. I will, however, do just about anything else. I play a number of sports, usually individual ones, just for enjoyment. Basketball, bowling, and paintball are fun. I also like to swim, seeing as how my house has pool. I may be what some people call 'lazy', but that's just because I don't like doing boring work, so I try to weasel my way out of it as much as possible. It might be because of this that I am unemployed right now. However, since my Dad's favorite hobbies are yardwork and building onto our house, he keeps me pretty busy and well paid. And that, my friends, is the Boss.

Zen
Things I forgot to say: I am a huge Hip Hop fan. I listen to mostly southern hip hop. Houston, Atlanta, and Memphis all produce great MC's, but my favorite rappers are Jay-Z, KRS-One, and The Game. I have two younger brothers. A 13 year old one and a 7 year old one. Neither really listen to me. I have a pet cat named Ryan, who is by far the coolest pet I've ever had. I also have a dog (lab/basset hound mix) who is a little off kilter. It doesn't listen to me either. I'm often considered a lady's man... I'm not sure why. My style is a kind of 'I don't really care' hip hop. My major group of friends are a group of nerds who can beat up people who call them nerds. I'm not joking. One of them can squat three times his body weight. I can pop 'n' lock, which is a form of breakdancing where you don't spin around on the ground or do flips. I plan on majoring in film when I get out of high school. I also have a reputation as the best Halo 2/Soul Calibur 3/Def Jam: Fight For NY player in my area. I also just started fiddling around with Microsoft Picture It! So, expect some graphic art stuff from me sometime. Yeah. That's the rest of me.

eleanor
My current username is Lunox, but I've had two former usernames: maladjusted and anime_gurl. My real name is Ginny, I'm 16 years old, and I'm from Alpharetta/Roswell, GA area, which is basically a big surburban area of Atlanta. I have one older sister that lives in NYC because she goes to NYU. I'm pretty jealous of the fact that she lives in NYC. >_> Let's see... I'm a sophomore at CHS, and currently I'm freaking out over my grades and final exams. The group of friends I hang with are basically the smarties of my class, so it's safe to say I'm a nerd, and I'm orchestra so I'm a dork, too. I play the piano and the cello, and I think classical music is cool. Ironically, I'm dropping orchestra next year so that I can be in Newspaper, but my orchestra teacher is a crazy nazi dictator and everyone knows it. For anyone who knows me well, they know that Duke TIP is my second home. At TIP you take a three week course on any specific subject you choose, and this year I've signed up for Comparative Identities: 20th Century Literature. The stuff you learn there is forever valuable and the friends you make there are lifelong. Basically, TIP pwns any camp ever, and Duke is awesome. Especially Duke East Term I. :P Unfortunately, this will be the last year TIP will allow me to come, so I'll be horribly depressed for quite a time afterwards. (Also, thank God for financial aid, because TIP is also incredibly expensive. They've been pretty generous in my situation, we've only have to pay about $200 each summer.) I enjoy hanging out with my friends, sleeping, reading a good book, drawing, food, shopping, being in random dork-worthy fandoms, and imagining epic stories in my head without ever writing them down. I hope to pursue English in college, and then further go into journalism or some kind of other career including media or communications. I daydream of becoming a movie director, but I think that'll have to stay a daydream. :3 Dream colleges: Macalester, Williams, Columbia, Notre Dame, Berkeley, or Vanderbilt. Wish me luck in about a year, eh? I'm also part of debate, which I'm not terribly into, but I joined in order to hone my speaking and presentation skills. Our debate club doesn't do any actual arguing, though. We do extemporaneous speech, original oratory, and dramatic interpretation. I like to keep up with current events, but I'm not very good with being deeply knowledgable about many of the political problems because I'm too lazy to look stuff up. :/ One thing I'm happy of is that I've lost 50 pounds, and I'm proud to say I've 5'8" and 130 lbs. Finally. I used to be very insecure because of my weight, but I've gained confidence and self-esteem. It may seem shallow to others, but I don't care about them. I worked hard for it, so I deserve it. Another goal I'm working at is to become fairly good at CGing any pictures I draw. I've been practicing on and off lately, but I plan to work at it this summer and see if I improve at all. Random Facts -I am in love with good literature. 'Nuff said. -My friends have told me that I'm a boring person to talk with online, and I agree. I find having conversations over AIM incredibly dull and akward. -I listen to all types of music, although I never go out of my way too look for any particular bands or songs. I sort of go with the flow- if I hear something I like, I put on my iPod. -I can be a quiet person or a loud person. I'm nice to people I don't know well, and affectionately blunt with my close friends. -I think dead baby jokes are hilarious, and Chuck Norris jokes can be funny from time to time.

Viper0529
Im Matt I disappeared from the board for a while, but Im back Im 16 years old Im in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I probably hate it more than anything I used to live in Saint Louis Im in a Band called Access Ramp (metal mostly). I am the lead guitarist and backup singer (screaming mainly). Our first "real" show is tonight. At the hardrock Cafe. Im scared. I have one older sister, who is going to go to Penn State next year. In 3 weeks, Im getting a puppy golden retriever whos name is still up for suggestion. Brandy maybe? (PM ideas if you have something good). I wear a brown jacket and aviators every day, even in the summer...I dont know why. I am scared of clowns and Chupacabras my favorite place in my house is on the roof, (I take my girlfriend up there to look at stars). I do like videogames, although not as much anymore. Favorite has the be either Resident Evil 4 or Conkers Bad Fur Day for the X-Box. I am very insecure about myself, even though I act cocky. I dont trust the government. Watch this to see what I mean I smoke, although Im trying to quit I dont do that well in school, not because I am dumb, but because I am to busy daydreaming or not caring I plan on going to Britain to act professionally even though I want to be an actor, no Im not gay My favorite band has to be Rob Zombie favorite movie: the Boondock Saints I am secretly not a big fan of manga or anime I have dated 17 girls...and I have broken up with all of them, and I still dont know why. I doubt anyone will read this many things about me, most people would probably stop way up there. I dont have a social stereotype that Im in, so I just say I'm "eccentric" I am an athiest I work out every day, for 2-3 hours. I am scared that I wont have a future I curse more than any other man I live in my basement, practically. My father told me that santa didnt exist when I was 3 I dont trust that many people I am running out of things to say. Thanks
SunfallE
All this time reading what people put here and yet never answering it myself. Guess I should change that. ^_~
Definitely female, my full name is Elizabeth though I actually go by Beth. I was born in Provo Utah, though I?ve also lived in Dallas Texas and Ventura California. And that doesn?t include the time I was a truck driver and basically lived all over the west coast for a while. My age? :p Well I?ll give you a hint, you have to be 21 to get a cdl license to drive a semi truck so somewhere between 21 and 40. ^_~ I actually have 4 brothers and one sister. The eldest brother was hurt in a accident caused by a drunk driver and never recovered from it. (he was in a coma for 3 ½ months before dying) The second eldest brother lives in Oregon and I?m officially an aunt since I have a little niece and nephew. The third older brother is unfortunately a drug addict and since I don?t talk with him anymore I have no idea what he is up to. Then there?s me. ^_^ Next is my younger sister who I see on a regular basis and finally there?s my younger brother who is working on his degree in computers. Obviously I like anime or I wouldn?t be here. I?m also into reading science fiction and fantasy novels. And I love to go hiking. One of my favorite things to do is visit Yellowstone National Park. I never get tired of going there. Right now I?m learning how to do digital art and I?m looking into going back to college to get another degree. I figure if I?m not out on the road driving I might as well be learning new stuff. As for my personality, haha, most people think I?m shy when I just tend to be reserved until I know a little more about someone. Then they tend to be surprised since I?m very outgoing once I get past the get to know you part.
Darky Dee
favorite movie: the Boondock Saints
^ <3333 I'm 14, and I'm PhoenixClawth on myO. I changed my OB name from PhoenixClawth to Darky Dee because I can and I really like this name. xD I do not have any brothers or sisters, but I do have a pet parakeet, Pumpkin. She's yellow, green, grey feathers on her and and is practically the devil incarnate. No matter how nice you are to her, she will bite you. Even if you feed her and whatnot. She is devil. I was born in Boston Massachusetts and lived in Avon, MA for the first two years of my life. We moved to Hopkinton when I was two and we've lived here for the past 12 years. As for my personality? I'm a big walking offensive machine and my insults usually include slut, whore, and hoe. I'm not going to lie. I love my friends and they love me. I'm a very fun person to be around and I like to make friends. But, if you choose to pick a fight with me, prepare to be pwnt. In short, love me. xD
