Anyone else heard of it?

It's a Japanese film, don't know if it will be released in the US though.
It's about an otaku guy who manages to fall in love :luv: with a girl on the train, and then he asks his friends on the net to give him love advice and he tells them his progress, as they become friends and he asks his net friends how he should confess his love to the girl.

The film is based on a TV show, which was aired on Jpanaese TV, (The shows was more in depth) and the TV series was based on some books published which were based on/revolved around actual internet postings the 2Channel board (Japanese). Wether these postings are a hoax or not is unkown, but I like to think they're true. :freak:

The film is pretty good, romantic comedy. I like the punches for the jokes they're pretty funny :animesmil :rotflmao:

Yeah, I was looking through an Anime Insider magazine last night and this was one of the headlines in the Culture Section. I'm pretty sure that they said that this whole movie was based on a true story. It's rather...cute. And that's a lot coming from me.

I've seen the before and after pictures of that guy, our protagonist, and he looked so much different. It's rather amazing how just a little sprucing up can go a long way.

I want to see it, and I don't care if I have to special order it when it finally comes out to DVD.

Yeah he looks alot different after his hair-cut and puttin contacts in.
It's really funny when he put's his contacts in too.

It would really be worth it to buy the DVD special order. I think you can get the Thai version of the DVD somehwere but I don't think it has English subtitles.

If you go to yesasia.com and search 'densha otoko' the movie and the tv series pop up. It looked like the Hong Kong version of the film had English subtitles. I haven't seen the movie, but I'va watched part of the tv series and I like what I've seen so far. Just have to find more time to watch the rest. Oh, and in case you were wondering, "Densha Otoko" is the Japanese title and translate into "Train Man."
