What did you want to be ?

What did you want to be when you were young? Did you want to be a Cowboy, a Pirate, A Ninja, or some other thing along those lines (in a fantasy setting)? Sorry girls I don't know if you wanted to be the same things or not.

Personally I always wanted to be a ninja. For as long as I can remember I would dress up like one for every thing that I got to dress up for. I think that I wanted to be one so that I could be alone while I had adventures. I did not like to play with others when I was small but I did/do not like to be alone, just left alone.

So that is my reason for my answer. Please do not just post one word give reason for your answers. Thanks.

I wanted to be a super hero. *nods*

My mum even made me a cape, and my red wellie-boots made me fly. Haha, the good old days of childhood.

I believe I wanted to be a pirate at one point, too, sadly jumping out of a tree with a stick in my mouth brought that fantasy to the end, along with one of my teeth.

When I was four, I would tell anyone who would listen that I wanted to be a paleontologist. Then I'd generally go on about all the different kinds of dinosaurs, half of which I can't even remember.

And before that, I think I wanted to be Batman. But not Superman. Superman was lame.

I watched a lot of fantasy movies and I wanted to be a sorceress. I used to grab sticks in the backyard and act like they were magic staffs or something. I would turn my imaginary friends into frogs and had 3 imaginary pets- a huge red dragon, a gargoyle, and a griffin!! I had so much fun. :modrod:

Ahh to be a child again...

I remember being in first grade and shocking my teacher by saying that I wanted to be a marinebiologist. (I practiced how to say that for about a day.) I had this fascination with underwater life, and I don't know why. When I was a little kid, I was a nerd. I'll admit it. :animeswea

I didn't have much of a childhood since I was a streeter/gangster but I wanted to be a ninja, boxer, karate master, and after I got over that fighting phase I wanted to be a superhero, gypsy, and pirate. :animesigh I think I basically covered everything there was to be in just my first nine years. :animeswea

I wanted to be a paleoontologist. Sick obsession with Jurassic Park and a 1200 page book on every dinosaur known to manwill do that to you. Then a game designer because I thought I would automatically get 2 million dollars if I made one. Then when I became obsessed with Nintendo Power I wanted to make a magazine. A couple years ago, my own anime/manga. Now Im an author. Long way.

Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a vet, and still, 16 years later there is nothing else that comes close to becoming a vet. Nothing else interests me. I never wanted to be a superhero or a cartoon character, just a vet. :)

I wannted to be a Transformer. More than meets the eye, yo.
That is awesome I do not think that I know anyone who wanted to be a transformer.
Also you all have things that would have been cool to be .... So I think that we should all go and be what we want. :animesmil

When I was little, I always wanted to be a sorcceress, 'cause I've always loved magic. It's so cool! God. I'm a dork aren't I? But later, when I was a little older, I thought it would be awsome if I could be a paranormal investigator. Like track down ghosts and stuff. But now I"ve realized that I can't do that. The truths of reality are harsh!

I wanted to be the red Power Ranger. It's because he had the coolest Mega-Zord, duh. The red and white Ranger. The white Ranger had that cool talking sword, it pretty much owned.

lol, I was obsessed with Jurassic Park as well and digging up dinosaurs seemed like an entertaining career. Then my older cousin said, "Do you honestly think there are still going to be millions of fossils by the time you turn 27?" I kind of gave up on that afterwards. Ha.

I wanted to be either a power ranger or a ballet dancer or a fireman. Yes. A fireman. Not a firewoman. I was a deranged child, I guess? *laughs*

I wanted to be the pink power ranger because I mean, face it, she was awesome. Not to mention PINK.

I wanted to be a ballet dancer because I loved the tutus and the idea of being graceful. I failed miserably in ballet months after starting and I gave up on that dream. My mom still wishes she had kept me in it. Maybe because I'm about as graceful as a rhinoceros?

A fireman because they had sweet hats and giant trucks. I used to put on my little red fireman hat and sit in my mini shopping cart with a plate and pretend I was driving. Ummmmm yeah I'm sweet.

But Super Jamie is awesome ^_~ With her rocket boots and all. (Haha, sorry >>)

I thought we were talking silly kid things, but since others have talked about real jobs they wanted...

The first thing I remember wanting to be is an archaeologist/ palaeontologist. I just wanted to dig up and study dinosaurs because man, they were cool. I wanted to be an actress for quite a long time (it seemed like a long time, maybe it was only a couple of months) and then I wanted to be a Fighter Pilot. Then the cycle sort of repeated.

I still love the idea of archaeology and Egyptology; I'd love to go to the Bad Lands one day for a dig.

And just to show you all I'm not a total loon--Next year I'm starting to study Psychology and Law, amongst other things, to prepare myself for studying Forensic/Criminal Psychology in University.

Hmm... In reality, I still trying to find the answers on what I wanted to be. BUT one thing's for sure, I'll do my best to be one of the professionals! ^_^

But for fantasy.... I wanted to be a fighter with a very unique fighting style. No weapons, just fist, hehe! :D

In that case, I still wanted to be a Transformer.
Wow isa kang Pinoy! Hehe! I thought there are no kababayans here, but I was wrong, hehe!

[b]Ohkami Buster, please don't 'double post'. I've edited together your two consecutive posts for now, but in future, use the EDIT button in the post's bottom right corner if you need to add anything.
I'm not actually Filipino, the tagalog in my sig is a corny romantic gesture for my Filipino girlfriend. lol[/color']
*raises hand*

Which is me. XD

Actually, there really are a few Filipinos here. Anyway, for silly little dreams, I wanted to be a lot of things. Fairy, magician, etc. But being a mermaid comes first. I'd go under the water in a pool and start singing. Of course, there'd only be bubbles. lol

As for real jobs, I wanted to be a lawyer for a long time. I wanted to defend innocent people for free. Then I wanted to be detective. :)

I ended up taking Computer Science though. lol

The first thing I can remember was wanting to be was a gypsy. After that I wanted to be a private investigator. Then one day after watching an old Steve McQueen movie, I wanted to become a bounty hunter. According to most of my friends, I will someday become a homeless bag lady...which is not quite as romantic as I imagined the life of a gypsy to be.

Interesting, most interesting.

Being an Autobot is one of the ones I never voiced out loud to people, but still as we're talking kid dreams it was definitely one of them. But seeing as I pretty much grew up addicted to sci-fi, particularly Star Wars, being a Jedi definitely took priority over being a Transformer. It really wasn't until the Prequel Trilogy that the Jedi Order really seemed as interesting as they are now, seeing as how in the OT we only had Obi-Wan and Yoda as examples.

In terms of real jobs, it would be a toss-up between being a doctor and being an astronaut, though being a doctor was always the one that appealed to me more. There was also being an astronomer but the level of mathematics in that has since sadly put me off pursuing it. I think doctor was the one that always stayed with me because I've always got an immense sense of satisfaction out of being able to help people in any way I can, though the dealing with death segment is not something I think I could hack.

So yeah, Jedi or Doctor, take your pick really.
