Prodigy, The Prodigy, 'Those one guys who sang 'Smack my ***** Up'...Whatever you want to call them happen to be my favorite Electric band of all time and in my opinion are pioneers of what we technoheads call Electronica...Not so much Drum n Bass, House, Big Beat or the like but easy listening Electronica...Sure, they really haven't done anything too remarkable but when they set out to create good music they do it. From 'Experience' to 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' they've had at least one or two tracks that stand out from the rest, or in the case of their newest album like 6 songs that most fans of the genre or other genres can enjoy. I want to know what you all think of Prodigy because I'm sure you've at least HEARD of them and if not them as a whole (Or at least Liam Howlett who is more or less a one-man-band nowadays), the song 'Smack My ***** Up', I'm sure of that.

I went to see them the other week.
I'm sure about 85% of the people there just shaved their heads for the prodigy.
It was really sweeet, it was all wah wah and doo dooo. Ahhh I was really tired the nest day.

I think their music had a unique way of approaching things when they first popped inot the scene, with a pretty in your face kind of tune, and alot of people paid attention to them because Kieth looks crazy.
I agree with you on this one, they go into the section of pioneers of the electronic music industry, and they've made foot holds in all the sub-catogeries of electronic (drum n bass etc.).

I've only just started listening to Prodigy, and I must say I'm liking everything I hear. I got into listening to them when I heard "Girls" at work. I started looking into them after that. The next song I heard was "Pheonix". I just finally listened to most/all of the album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" today, and I'm still in love with "Girls".

Normally, I'm not an Electronica/Techno fan, but Prodigy is where it's at. I'm hoping to get their CD for Christmas *winknudgecough*.

They're ok, as far as my taste in the genre goes. I'm more into more subtle and sinister blends of it such as Ladytron, Air, and I'm sure Goldfrapp has some influences if they aren't electronica. Granted, The Prodigy has some lovely heavy basslines which is great for dancing! But I feel that most of their songs sound the same ;/
