I only know my boyfriend (who I'm sure is reading this ;) ) through otakuboards as he lives in an entirely different state, but I love him very much and was wondering how to show it? SAying things like *hugs* or *kisses* doesn't really have the effect of a real hug or kiss, so what other ways are there?[/COLOR]

ULX and I have been together ten months now and I know he loves me very much, but we've never done anything amazingly special online (At least, not in a general idea. The personal things we talk about mean so much to me). There are a couple of things, like nice little e-mails on anniversaries that do the trick.

He sent me one on our two months and I still cry when I read it, hell, my mum even cries. That man has a way with words, heh.

Words are the only thing you have in a relationship like yours and quite a few others, so it's a matter of trying to use them to your advantage, without sounding corny or anything. It?s the little gestures, I guess, that shows the person you're wanting to spend some of your time on them when you could be doing things in your life where you live with other friends. At least, that's how I view it.[/SIZE]

Parabola and I have been together for 2 years and 3 months on the 28th. I know exactly how hard it is to express how you truly feel. Joe and I talk all the time on AIM and by phonecalls. It can be rough, but just when things get a bit "out of sight", he always comes at me with those intimate conversations of how much I mean to him, and how much he loves me. I tell him all the time how much he means to me, and how much I love him. Sometimes, I feel that must scare him every now and again :animeswea

Anyway, the point of my advice is: don't be afraid to just up and talk to your partner about how much they mean to you. You never know, maybe they're having a hard time and you telling them how special they are may give them a smile, and something to look forward to. Inspiration, motivation, attention, affection, and hope are all things you can bring into your relationship with just simple conversations. That's how Joe and I have kept going all these years.[/size][/color]
