Linkk
Tarma and Leviiril follow Ash. But they see her being crabbed by a Slake. He shows her something but the two Mahrims can't quit see what is going on. They hide behide the corner of the building. Ash and the Slake begin to talk. They are whispering so it's hard to hear. "Shit! What is she doing! Has she forgotten we are here?" Leviriil asks. Shut up lets try and hear what they are saying Tarma peered around the corner. But Ash and the Slake took off. Well,Leviiril .....we should follow them. " See ya Brindel." She was gone Danm it! Now who should I follow. I wonder what happened to Escari. She decided to go back and look instead of getting into more trouble. Good thing she never told either of them her name. But as she was leaving she heard a commotion coming from one of the shops. She decided to check in out. She followed the noise. Inside she saw The Slake that had just been talking to Ash. But where was Ash now She saw that the Mahrim that was talking to the Slake was brindel coloured like herself. That's must be whom, Leviiril was mistaking me for. The two were talking about tecnology as well as other things. " Thanks for fixing my bow" Felas said " My pleasure" Sazurothz smiled Tarma continued to watch them. While a million things raced through her head. Who were these two? Why was Ash so important? I need to find her as well as Escari. I hope he's alright. I need to find them. Why is Leviiril interested in me, rather this Mahrim here? Not only that, she had been thiking about the Mahrim from the market whom run into her and Escari then dashewd off just as fast. He looked familiar infact it had to be him. Her long lost childhood friend, Jarius. Yet she last heared he was in jail. Maybe he was dead. No he can't be. But why did he run away from me? Maybe he didn't realize it was me? Maybe he has forgotten about me anyhow. I still need to find out. " So do expect Nana back soon?" Sazuroth asked " I'm not sure when she'll be back" Felas stated. " Well I should...." Sazuroth began He looked out the store window. Just then a Mahrim went by. Followed by another whom seemed to be in a hurry. It was him the one who looked like Jarius. She stood up to follow after him. Sazuroth saw her and called out " Well, little Missy what have you been doing? Easves dropping. Haha, didn't curiousty kill the cat." He went to grab her. Not this kitty- And she ran after the other Mahrim. I need to find out if it's him. Then I'll look for Escari. I wonder what happened-
Dregen
Ryu's eye's darted back in forth as he hurried through the streets. This City is like a zoo all the better to hide myself in I guess. Ryu walked along at a brisk pace lost in thought not realizing the the young Mahrim following him.A hand reaching for his shoulder snaped Ryu right outta his little day dream. Instantly his sword was upon Jar: "Hey, hey, heywhat the hell are you doing, and why the hell are you acting so damn serious?" Jar said as the sord came to a halt. I'm sorry Jar I've not been myself of late. I cannot openly discuss my buisness with you here. "Why didn't you just say that instad of going all covert on me. let's find a place to talk." "Jar, remember well what happen the last time you were around me you have no more tails to lose. I can not openly involve you yet again." Random
"Jar, remember well what happen the last time you were around me you have no more tails to lose. I can not openly involve you yet again." Jar stood there, stunned by his former friends out-of-character actions. When he had met Ryu, he had been alot like himself: reckless, argumentative, resistant to authority, and full of spunk. It was their reckless personalities that had gotten them into trouble that one fateful day back in Ragian... Ruy's break into the Jar's life was much like Jar's own appearance into Tyr and Dred's lives today. Jar and Ayli were walking throught the market. Ryu rand past, down the street, having stolen food, and was being chased by the guards. Ryu misstepped, and ran right into Jar, knocking them both to the ground. Then, one of the guards grabed Ryu, as well as Jar. Ayli slayed the one holding Jar, and then Jar and Ryu finished the other two off. After that, Ryu told the other two his story of being an assasin, and decided to join them. After they left the Inn, going to a pub to eat, one of Ryu's previous team mates, a female Slake, ambushed them. The three fought her, and eventually killed her, but not without damage. Ryu and Ayli was unharmed, but Jar wasn't so lucky. His tail had been severed, and his left ear tip was burned off. After that had happened, Ryu told Jar and Ayli that he didn't want to put them into any danger, and left them to follow his own path. This was the last time Jar had seen Ryu. "Ryu, what's wrong? You don't seem yourself," said Jar, still stunned. "Jar, like I said, I can't get you involved again. Just leave me alone. I'll be fine." And with that, Ryu dissapeared for the second time. As Jar watched Ryu walk away, he noticed that he wasn't alone. A familiar brindle Mahrim out of the shadows. "Tarma!" Jarrius said, running over to her. "It's Jarrius. Do you remember me? Are you ok? What happened to your family? Where have you been all these years?" Tarma interrupted with her calm voice, "Jar, of course I remember you. I'll answer any questions you have, but not right now. I need your help."
Linkk
Tarma threw her arms around Jarrius. She was so happy to finally have found him. She could hardly believe it. Her Jarrius, standing here with her. She eyes starting to feel hot as tears filled and overflowed. Jarrius, smiled and wiped them away. I'm so glad you're here. I have questions for you as well. But we'll talk about all that later- " I've been looking for you for years Tarms. I'm so happy to have finally found you." Jar said beaming. He could fell tears weelling up as well but he quickly blinked them away. Tarma told Jarrius everything that had happened that morning since she saw him stealing the fish in the market right up to now. I need to find this Ash, character. More importantly I must find Escari. Feeling brave, strong and couragous as always Jar, immediately started dancing around Tarma, still in awe that she was here. " Alright" He said grinning. " I'll help you find him. We'll figure this mysterious happenings out." I guess we'd better head back to the Blak Craven. He might still be there. - " Tarma, I...." Jar began but decided he'd say what he had to when they got a chance to talk about what happened to on another since they last saw eachother. Jar? What is it?- Tarma looked at him with concern. " I'll tell you later" Jar replied I need to tell him something too She though as they headed back to the pub. 0ber0n the Neko
OOC: Holy SHIT! I turn my back on thsi thing for, what, a few days... And I'm already lost. Bear in mind that I'm going to try to consolidate the groups fairly soon. IC: Tyr looked at Dred. "It's lively today." Dred seemed almost startled. "You've finally decided to speak, huh?" Tyr looked at him silently. He then responded, "Yes. However... I can't seem to ignore the thuma and the slake. They're strong." Dred looked at the duo, who seemed about to clash at any moment. "Ummm... can we wait until they're done beating the shit out of each other?" Tyr seemed to ingore him. "We need strong." Tyr stood, and walked towards the thuma. "Excuse me. Would you care for a drink?" he said. The thuma seemed to be caught off guard. "Erm... A drink?" Tyr's silence prodded the thuma onward. "Make it mead. I can deal with this... lizard... later." The slake tensened up. "What did you call me!?" he bellowed. It took three bouncers to keep him held down. Tyr ignored the slake's cries for retribution. "My name is Tyr." Once again, his silence warranted a response. "I am called by Thorkell. I seek the Runes of Might!" he said, grimly. The bartender placed a large stein before him. He grasped the handle, eager to drink. Tyr nodded. "You may drink." Thorkell took a swill of the strong liquid. He pondered idly about why he felt he needed Tyr's permission to drink what was rightfully his. Or, rather, what could soon be rightfully his if he so pleased. "Do you wish to ask a favor of me? I know charity does not come of a huma... There always seems to be blood on every coin..." Tyr bowed his head, humbly. "As you may have guessed, I am not exactly huma." Thorrim laughed, drowning himself in another swig of the mead. "No, you're not, are you? You're too clever to be one of those bastards." He grinned. "But you're still too smart to give a Thuma a gift... What is it you're after?" Tyr smiled. "Runes. They're what makes the world go 'round, aren't they?" Thorrim slammed the stein down on the table. "Bring me another, bartender!" The stein returned, full to the brim. "You know the government's been guarding those mines like the thousand sentinels of Azmordam..." "Yes. That's another thing I want. I want to know why," Tyr replied. "And why are you telling me this?" Thorrim asked. "Because I want your help. You look like you're strong enough." Thorrim smiled. "Thanks. I'll have to get back to you on that." "Just let me know," said Tyr. "I'll be waiting." Dred eyed him slowly as he returned to their table. Tyr sat. "No matter how many times I watch you do that, I'm still amazed." Tyr sat silently. He only smiled. Jar sat down with Tarma. "So, what now?" "Now, we wait. Let's just see how the winds of fate blow tonight..."
Dragons_Bait15
Ash walks into the Highroad silently still a bit creeped out by her encounter with Sazurothz. The bartender greets her with a mug of beer and the mesh bag Jic had handed her in The Black Craven. She looks up at the Thuma questionly but her shakes his head, "Good man. Thaks." Ash nodds moving to a table in the corner. "Hello Leviiril, please sit down." she doesn't look up from the pile of feathers and metal. The Mahrim sits and watches silently, "Who was the Slake that stoped you?" Leviiril sees Ash shiver and the screwdriver slips from her hand. "Did you know there are nearly fifty fires that destroy building in this city every year. Out of those almost half of them are fatal in some way." Ash picks at a scale on the back of her hand, she looks up at the Mahrim and smiles big, "I doesn't matter though." "The Slake in the armor?" pries Leviiril, the scale comes off. "Do you want some thing to drink?" Ash waves to the bartender. "Ashcraft! Tell me who he was." she watches as the Slake examins a peice of metal. "He has something I want. I have something he wants, I think." she smiles at Leviiril as the beer arrives at the table, "Please drink,"She goes back to tinkering with the pile of scrap, " Would you mind waiting with me? Or we could always head to my place." she thinks of the burnt out shell of her late parent's house and smirks. Right. Leviiril watches silently as the pile gradually turns into something resembling a bird.

Deadpool
OOC: Excuse me but this will be rather long Sazurothz waited for Nana to arrive but she never did. "Do you know anywhere else she might go." Felas nodded. "Try the Cauldron" Sazurothz smiled. His men were already there at the moment. "Thank you" He walked out and strod down the street. Many a Huma and Thuma quickly got out his way as some of them mutterred. "There goes the Slayer" Sazurothz did not like this title. He had only obtained it as he made his way to the top of the noble government and the Slake government. Now he could start his plans to bring down the Noble's governemnt, but do that he needed the revolutionarys behind him. He reached teh tavern and walked in the doors as his men walked over to Ashcraft's table. He noticed Quan was missing. He was most likely trying to get to Nana so he could deliver the message. Sazurothz looked around and saw various people that he needed to help him overthrow the main government. "Guess I should get to work" He saw creamy white Mahrim that went by Leviiril. He recongized her because she was an assasain for the government but quite due to her aving to kill her own kind. Most of these people he was supposed to be killing right now, but tthat was not in his objectives. He sat down at the table across from her startling her. "Are you here to ill me like you will that female Slake, Sazurothz" Sazurothz shook his head. "No I am merely giving you a chance to get back at teh government. You and I both know that the Revolutionary's haven't won a battle yet and are losing miserably. Since I am a top official, causing chaos in the branches will not be a problem, but I will need your help. You remember Frans don't you?" Leviiril suddenly got made. "Don't ever metion his name. He wanted me to kill my own kind. I wished I had killed him when I had the chance" Sazurothz laid a bloodstained dagger in front of her. "Don't worry I took care of him. If you are interested, I could really use your talents in getting rid of the government. Meet me at the table were my men are at if you want more info" He stood up. "Hopefully there is one" He walked over to where Ashcraft sat and sat across from her. "Now, where did we leave off?" He could tell that she was extremely uncomfertable. Alright I will get down to business. I know you are a part of the Technolyte Secret Society and I need your help. Right now I am in the governement but only because I want to get rid of it and make the world a better place but I will need your help. You are known for your ability with technology throughout the Society. And I also know that you joined so you could get your hands on the stones for your own personal gain like the one you stole a couple weeks ago" He saw her shift uneasily and he didn't blame her, for all she knew he was most liekly going to kill her. "But do not worry. I framed someone else." He set one of the runes he had on the table with a cloth covering it. "This is just a small part of what I will be paying you. You help me and you can get mabye hundreds more of these. Now what would you like to eat?" He gave a smile as the bartender came over then turned to the tender and pointed to Tyr. "Ask him, I would like to meet with him for a moment. Don't worry Ash, i am paying"
Stark
Nana entered the Cauldron, and heaved a sigh of relief as she closed the door. Finally, a moment of comfort and safety, surrounded by people who wouldn't hurt her. Even if someone did, there would be too many witnesses. It was too risky for them to even try anything. She scanned the crowd, looking for someone who would be nice enough to pay for her meal. Felas paid her, naturally, but she spent most of that money on parts for the repairs she did on a regular basis. She didn't have enough money to buy herself a meal. There was a tap on her shoulder, and Nana looked over at the smiling barkeep. "Excuse me. Are you Miss Nana Joce?" The barkeep asked. Nana smiled back. "And if I am?" She questioned in return. "There is someone who would like to see you." Nana looked away, prepared to leave the little pub. She didn't want to be bothered by strangers at a time like this. She'd rather take her chances with the Slake Government. The barkeep called after her. "Wait. They also said that they would be glad to buy you a meal." Nana turned her attention back to the barkeep. "Really?" She asked, interested. Free food, and she didn't even have to mooch. That was a record. "Yes. If you'd follow me I'll lead you to them." Nana agreed, and followed the barkeep to the table. When she saw the table's occupant, she blanched. It was the Slake from Felas' shop, an important official by the name of Sazurothz. If there was one person she was afraid of, it was him. She feared him, not because he was cruel, but because of his crippling calm and patience. It wasn't...natural for anyone to be so calm. He had a cordial air about him as he gestured for her to sit. "Nana, it's good that I've found you. There's something we need to talk about." Nana, knowing better than to disagree with a Slake, sat obediantly. "Yes. We do have some unfinished business." "When was the last time you ate?" He asked, as if he were the host of a party. "Yesterday? Two days ago?" Nana didn't answer, but stifled a yawn. "For that matter," Sazurothz continued, noticing her actions, "When was the last time you had a good night's sleep?" Again, Nana didn't answer. What did the Slake care, anyway? "You won't take me back." She said simply. "I won't let you. I refuse to be used as a tool again." "You won't." Sazurothz said simply. "But, you've been forgetting things. When to eat, when to sleep, the very simple acts of life." "I remembered to come here to get food." Nana said defensively, sitting up straighter in her chair. Sazurothz tossed her the hat she had left at the shop. "Enough of this. The other person I was waiting for is here." Nana glanced over as a tall man with dark hair that the barkeep had just led over. He seemed quiet, even a touch cold, but Nana knew that they were alike. "Another one, huh?" "Yes." Sazurothz motioned for the man to sit. "Tyr. Nana. There are some things we must talk about. Rhym
OOC: Time to sow the seeds of me and Random's plan! IC: Eskari sat in an alley outside the Black Cauldron, nursing his wounds. That damn Viking hits hard. Dammit, I should go back in there and show him a thing or two... but I probably shouldn't. The atmosphere is... less than receptive, considering all the damage caused when I fought that Krill guy. Plus, that damn Viking's probably gotten some mead by now. I think the only thing that hits harder than a Viking without mead is a Viking with mead. Dammit. He stood up and stormed to the mouth of the alley, shaking with inner fury. Where am I gonna go now? I would really like to beat the shit out of something. Just then, he saw Tarma, approaching out of the gloom of dusk with another Mahrim in tow. He tried to look upbeat, tried to erase the scowl his features seemed to be locked in. "Tarma! How's it going? Who's this?" he called. She noticed him and quickened her pace. "Scary! I was looking for you! This is Jarrius, he was my friend back when we were young. Jar, meet Scary." The Mahrim eyed him a bit suspiciously. "Nice to meet you." He shook his hand. "Likewise. But please, Tarma, Jar, call me Eskari. It's my name, after all." She looked a bit confused, but shook it off and smiled brightly. "Well, anyways, I was looking for you for so long! We have a lot to talk about." She hugged him warmly. This surprised Eskari considerably, but he tried to look cool, something easy for a Slake to do. Woah! Why's she doing this? Is she really happy about something? Maybe that she met Jar? She did say that he was her childhood friend... He couldn't help but notice the young Mahrim scowl at him.
Random
The Hell?! Jarrius thought. Why's she hugging him? A Mahrim showing any sort of affection to a Slake, it's totally unheard of. Even when it comes to Tarma. He could feel his body start to express his feelings of resentment. It's not that he has trouble hiding his emotions, but the fact that he wanted this Eskari to see it. "Hey, Tarma, I'm going to go and find Tyr...you wanna come?" "Sure," she replied, then turning to the Slake, "You comming, too?" "...might as well," he replied hesitently. As the threesome entered the Black Couldron, Jar immediatly searched and found Tyr. He walked over, and sat down. Tarma was right behind him, but Eskari was hesitent to follow. He oppted to go and sit in an obscure corner of the bar. Oh well, better off without him, anyways, Jarrius thought resentfully. Sitting at the table with Tyr was Dred. "So, what now?" Jar said, addressing Tyr. "Now, we wait. Let's just see how the winds of fate blow tonight..." Tyr replied, rather philosophical. Jarrius and Tarma ordered a plate of cooked fish apiece, as well as pale ale and milk, respectively. Jar glanced over at the only Thuma in the bar hesitently, knowing their kinds short tempers. He looked away just as Dred started to speak. "Jar, who is this lovely Mahrim?" Dred asked. "This is the one and only Tarma! Ya know, the one I've been talking to you about," he replied, rather exitedly. "Yes, Jar, we remember," said Tyr. "We don't really need another rendition of your past. What's important now is the present, and the future, and what we're going to do about the Runes." Tyr started the explanation, but just as he was going to continue, the Barkeep told him that someone, with a glance was known to be a Government Slake, wanted to talk to him. He simply walked over without a word. Dred, however, decided to take up the explanation where Tyr was forced to leave it. Jar and Tarma sat patiently, waiting for Dred to begin. Starwind
Dred called over for a drink and sipped at it lightly for a moment and without looking to Tyr "Is this really gonna work?" Tyr smiled again "Of course it will. Why wouldn't it?" Dred laughed as he sipped at the drink again "Your confidence never waivers. That's probably one of the reasons I've stayed with you for so long." Tyr smiled "Damn, and here I thought I was almost rid of you." The two glanced to each other and laughed. Dred set his focus back on his drink "So, how many more days til we go for it?" Tyr looked back to the bar "Two or three, pending on how the hunt goes." Dred sipped his drink one more time "I'll go to the ware house tomorrow and get my equipment." He then set the drink back and swallowed it in only a few gulps. Tyr glanced to him out of the corners of his eyes "You know that's bad for you to drink it all at once like that." Dred smirked "Since when have I done anything that was good for me?" The two chuckled again and went about themselves at teh bar.
Raze_3103
Kanya put her sword up then looked down at her demon wolf. There was not even a scratch on it, lucky, she thought. "Well, I have been in this city for a couple of hours, shall we go and see what kind of food this place offers, Drog?" The demon let out a happy bark as they began to walk. Minutes later, she found herself at the entrance of a bar. She walked in, fallowed by Drog, and was quickly approached by the bar tender. "Listen, girlie. We don't alloy animals in this place.." The bartender pointed at Drog and smiled. "Do not worry about him, mister. He is dead. He is not even alive. He is my summon." She smiled back at him as she caught the attention of a nearby slake. "Wether or not, I do not want it in my bar. Make it go away or something." The tender sighed as he walked back to his bar. "Its either him or my other one, and trust me, Drago gets irritated easily." She patted Drog on the head and walked over to a table. All the meanwhile, she felt like she was being watched.
0ber0n the Neko
Tyr walked purposefully towards the bar. He sat next to the slake in the ceremonial armor, not once casting a glance in his direction. "What is it?" Tyr asked lazily. "I believe you know why I called you here, Vanguard..." the slake replied with a slight chuckle. "I am no longer a Vanguard. You wouldn't have called me over here unless you knew that," Tyr replied, almost snarling. "You? The great Vanguard Tyr? Master of the Darkest Flame?" the slake asked, laughingly. "You're a hard man to find. I'm more suprised to have found you here..." "This is my work. I busy myself with these things." "You're much too good to play this game-" "I know. The difference is, I don't care. You government slime can just keep to yourselves," Tyr replied. "I... am no longer of the government. I operate from within the government, but my actions are... outside." "And you want my help," Tyr muttered. The two still had not met eyes. "Not want. Need. I need your power in order to expand... My power. You understand, don't you?" The slake rolled a few gold coins towards Tyr. Tyr didn't even look at them. "You can't afford me." "There's plenty more where that came from," the slake replied, hissing. "You seem to misunderstand. I don't want your dirty money. Go somewhere else with your goddamned gold." The slake was very obviously offended. "You seem to misunderstand me!" The slake drew his weapon slowly, as to only attract the attention of Tyr. "That wasn't an offer." Tyr sighed slightly. "You want to fight with me, alone? Even knowing I'm a former Vanguard?" The slake hesitated. "You... may leave." Tyr stood, and rejoined the group, who was now listening to Dred's explanation. "Everybody ready? I'm starting to sense an ill wind. We should leave this place," Tyr said, flatly. Starwind
Without giving it a thought, Dred rose to his feet and started for the door. He knew if Tyr felt they needed to get out of here, then they probably should, he had good sense about this kind of thing. Dred waved to Jar, who quickly got up and followed them out of the building. Tyr walked out next to Dred as dred asked "So, what was it he wanted?" Tyr kept fixed forward "Same thing they always want." Dred smirked "And you didn't go with them?" Tyr smirked 'Of course not. I'm still here right." Dred looked ahead "Guess you're right. Does this effect the plan at all?" Tyr glanced to him "Maybe. We may have to act sooner then intended." Dred nodded and the conversation ended. Jar standing just behind them "What are two talking about?" Dred looked to him "I'll explain later. Til then we'd better find some shelter, it's gonna be one hell of a night."
Stark
Nana abruptly stood up, shoved her hat onto her head, and stared at the Slake. "That's all I need to know," She said, even as her stomach growled, "And I won't be anyone's tool, even if it is for pay." She didn't want money. She didn't need money. "You also fail to understand," The Slake said, regaining his calm, "I can help you." He looked at her, and she could see a certain weariness about him. Normally, she would have sympathized with the Slake, perhaps even pitied, but the situation had ceased to be normal. She held her ground. "You don't understand the word 'no'." Sazurothz turned away, "Suit yourself then, little Wilder. You'll just get lost in the tide." Nana said nothing, and walked off. Her stomach lurched painfully in disagreement with her actions, but she knew it was for the best. Never again...never again. She shook her head reflexively as she thought about it all, and stiffened her shoulders and she pushed it aside. She saw the other man, the one she believed to be a Wilder, leaving with his friends.Instinct told her to catch up, and she ran after them, placing her trust in that instinct. Dragons_Bait15
I am paying, the statement disturbed Ash deeply. He knew her and the two Wilders that approached the table; she looks up at the female Wilder recognizing Fela?s prodigy. She sits still a quiet while they talk listening and trying to control the uncomforting feeling this slake brought. Sazurothz backed down from the vanguard. The two leave and Sazurothz turns back to her. Might as well take my chances. She stands, ?Thanks for the offer but I think it?s late and I?m going home.? She picks up the rune and smiles warmly, ?Thanks.? ?Wait a minuet, Ashcraft.? He stands too, ?Too many people have been hostile since I got here. Many have been afraid. You could be a great help.? ?Come to the gates of this city with a band of armed Slakes? A lot of people don?t like Slakes, some like us less then they do Wilders. But you?re from the government also, that?s a double strike. You?re lucky they haven?t decided to hang you.? She takes a few steps past him pocketing the rune. ?You wouldn?t be thinking of walking out the city gates?? He smiles when she stops. ?Of course not I?m gonna fly on a bright pink parrot. I?ll be seeing you Ambassador.? Ash shakes her head and leaves. Ash waits a few minutes outside the tavern frowning, the moon lights the streets and people still walk them. Even if she had to join his group to do it getting out of this place would be a good.
Linkk
Tarma was right behind Jar. I'm not losing him again She said as she followed him, Tyr, and Dred as they walked away from the tavern. " What's she doing here?" Dred asked pointing at Tarma. "She goes where I go" Jar said clasping Tarma's paw and pulling her closer towards him. I'm not here to cause trouble. I just want to find the runes and help those who've been hurt by the government and anyone else. I also want answers ...like the rest of us- She held fast to Jarrius' paw. We need to talk...about many things "Alright, we need to get away from here in the mean time" Tyr suggested again. What did that Slake want? Tarma inquired " What's it to you?" Dred sneered " Dred. Cut it out!" Jar growled "Sorry" Tarma nodded at him " Wants me to join him" Tyr replied " Do you know him?" I overheard his conversation this afternoon. He was at a shop speaking to a brindel coloured Mahrim. He said he needed to speak to Nana? I saw him also confront Ashcroft today as well. He was showing her something but I couldn't quit make it out " Well, little lady, That's Sazurothz. Don't get mixed up with him." Tyr replied Just then Escari caught up to them. " Hey. where you going?" He asked as he stepped in line with them. " Find a place where we can talk and rest" Jar answered. " What's it to you?" He galred at the Slake. " Hey, I'm just... Tarma's my contact. I figure I better keep her in my sight" He said smiling at her.He noticed Jar's face turn red with rage. Stupid Slake. If he thinks he can steal her from me he's got another thing coming! Jar though as he cursed under his breath. Still clinging to Tarma. " Ok Ok everyone just stop a minute we need to figure out what the hell we're doing" Dred said. They came up to an Inn. " Fisrt I need to talk to Tarma. Alone." Jar said looking to see if anyone,e specially Escari would protest. " We have a few years to catch up on. They booked two ajoining rooms for the night. Jar and Tarma went to talk. " Well Tarma...." Jar began Tyr, Dred and Escari sat on the other side of the room checking each other out. " Well Slake" Tyr finally said. " What's your role in this?" Escari studied them a few moments. Meanwhile the tavern slowly emptied out as everyone left watching their backs, feeling on edge and figuring out their next move. Things were heating up. Random
Jarrius sat across from Tarma, staring into her eyes. The day had definitly been one heck of a rollercoaster ride, but he was glad to finally find the one he'd been searching for for the past four years. "Well, Tarma," he began. "It's certianly been awile, eh? So many things to talk about, and alot of catching up to do." "Ya," she replied. "I've missed you, Jar. You have no idea how I've missed you." "And I've missed you, too," Jar said. More than you can ever know. "So, tell me Jar. What've you been doing the past few years?" she asked, eager to get the conversation going. "Well, mostly just trying to track you down. I caught wind that you might be here, so I came. Luckly enough, here you are." He replied, grinning childishly. "Tarma, there's something I need you to know..." "What, Jar? What is it?" I have something for you to know, too. "Tarma, remember when we were kids, we said that we would never be apart?" he asked hopefully. "Yes," she replied, her heart starting to pound. "And that we would always be there for each other, no matter what?" "Yes. And that we would always be in each other's hearts, even if we do get seperated!" "Yes!" he replied, excited that she remembered. "Well, I want us to never be apart. Ever." "Me, too, Jar," she replied, her eyes starting to swell with tears. "Tarma," he said, his eyes burning as well. "Tarma, I love you. I always have..." "Oh, Jar!" she exclamed, grabbing him and kissing him. "Jar, never leave me. I can't bear to think about us ever being apart." "I'm not going anywere, Tarma," he replied rather emotionally. "I'm never loosing you again." The two love-struck Mahrim embraced again, kissing each other with heated and built-up passion. At that moment in time, Eskari walked in. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?" Jar screamed at the Slake. "GET OUT!" "Er...Tyr wants you two to come and talk..." Eskari started, but was interupted by Jar. "I don't give two FUCKS what Tyr wants right now, got it?! Now, get out before I fucking kill you right where you stand!" "Tyr is quite adamint that you two..." Eskari never finished the sentence because when he started to talk, Jarrius charged. Eskari easily sidesteped the mad Mahrim, and knocked Jar on the floor. He then jumped on him, pinning him in place. "Jar, what the hell are you doing?" Tarma cried out. "What has he ever done to you?" Jar fought to regain his upright position, but the Slake was strong. "That fucker was trying to steal you away from me, and I won't let him!" he called out, just as Tyr and Dred came crashing through the door. "WHAT?" yelled Eskari. "The hell are you talking about? Me and Tarma? NO! She's just my contact, and that's it. It's all business between her and I." "LIAR!" screamed Jar. "You expect me to believe you? I never trust Slakes, even at the best of times, so why should I belive you?" "Jar, listen to me," said Tarma. "Eskari and I are part of an undergound faction. He was to come here to get an update on the progress of the section that I'm in charge of. There's nothing between us, Jar. Please, stop this!" "Tarma, I want to believe you, but I can't...I just can't... I..." Jarrius said, his emotions finally getting the better of him. His anger had wayed, but he was drained. Damn it. "What's going on in here?" asked Tyr, his weapons out and ready. "Jar made a jump on me," replied Eskari, who was still on top of Jar. "He seems to be over his anger. Get off him," said Dred, his compassion being more towards Jar, who he'd grown a liking towards, rather than the Slake. "Well," said Tyr, as Eskari hesitantly got off Jar. "Since we're all here, might as well start explaining what Dred and I have planned. Tarma, Eskari, you need to tell us what you're organization has planned as well. And Jar, don't go after Eskari again. The last thing we need is for one or both of you to get killed, especially by the hands of our own people. Ok?" Jar, sitting next to Tarma, glared at Eskari. "I won't if he won't," he said, anger still evident in his voice. Dred looked at the others in the room. "Well, who's going to start?" Jakehammaren
Thorkell stood watch outside the building. Tyr had gone in not too long ago. It sounded like the Slake almost had a run-in with that Jar character, but all was fine now. Thorkell removed his drinking horn from it's holster and took a swig of the rich mead. He turned to look into the room where Jar, Tarma, Eskari, Dred and Tyr were conversing. Everything was still secure. He heard Dred say "Well, who the hell is gonna start?" He could taste the tension in the group. Thokell turned back to continue his watch duty. The security of the situation was brutally shattered by what he saw. "Guys, you're gonna have to start your conversation later! GET THE HELL OUT HERE WITH WEAPONS AT THE READY!" The five ran out with their arms brandished. Tyr was, of course, still calm and level headed as he emerged from the building, but even his eyes widened at the sight of the coming onslaught. "Oh... oh Gods..." Thorkell removed his battleaxe from it's place across his back. What the fuck are Trolls doing in Balthazar - or anywhere outside the Frostbitten North for that matter? OOC: A little description of the Trolls real quick so this battle better last more than just a paragraph): they're large, standing about 8 feet tall on average. They're generally muscular, but some are rotund or pot-bellied. They're technologically simple creatures, and their armor consists entirely of leather and wood. This doesn't mean they aren't unintelligent, as they do have a full spoken language and a complex societal structure. Trolls generally cary huge axes, sickles, scythes, flails, or morningstars/clubs. Some use Nørdwolves as mounts. There are three of them facing the characters right now. Two are on foot, one is riding a Nørdwolf. One of them has a scythe, one has a spiked flail, and the one on the wolf has a battleaxe. Have fun.
Deadpool
Sazurothz Walked outside as He saw the Trolls coming. Three already had their minds set on Tyr, and two other people. One of them was a viking. Two more turned when they saw Sazurothz and began charging. He pulled out one of his beam guns and fired two shots. Each going through the Troll's heads. The rest were put down after a little bit of a struggle, then the sounds of horses came as a lagre army came up over the hill. "Damn, they are here already. I didn't get them out in time. Shit." He knew of Tyr's power, which could take down many soldier's at once, but not this force, and they had mages with them too. "Well now is a good time as any to get fired. Men, let's kill some government scum." Shots from teh sniper barrel began taking them down one by one as Sazurothz and his men powered up theri beam weapons. "Tyr, I wasn't trying to pay you to take down the government, i just wanted to see where your heart was at and it is not in where most people's are. and that money was not bloodmoney. That was stolen from the government. Now i know that you are after that mine where these come from" He showed several tech stones in his hand before putting them up. "Like the money those are stolen too, to be put to good use instead of making the government stronger. And I know how you don't like orders, which was why I was going to join your little group to but my talents to good use, where the government did not. What do you say? Aloow me to join your side?" Stark
Nana had tripped as she chased after the other Wilder and his group of friends, and breifly cursed her luck. Always falling, especially when she most wanted speed and haste, and only causing more delays. She began to get up, but thought better of it when she saw the Trolls coming in. Fighting ensued, Nana far enough from the fray to remain unscathed in the battle. She watched, but kept her hand on Tanner in case she would need to use her gun. There was no need, however, and she cursed again when she saw Sazurothz come in with his men and take down the Trolls. He had beat her. Again. She found herself laughing in spite of the defeat as she realized that they both were after the same thing--to join the Wilder and assist him. Nana stood up and brushed herself off, when a familiar looking Mahrim caught her eye. She was a tall, slim brindle Mahrim, standing in the fray with poise that only a Mahrim can manage. But her fur, the way she stood, the way she dressed...Nana ran over. "Felas!" She called "Felas! What are you-" The Mahrim turned toward Nana, and the Wilder stopped abruptly. "You are not Felas..." She ammended, and giggled in her embarrassment. "Sorry about that. Mistook you for someone else." She bobbed her head toward the stranger, and was about to walk away when the Mahrim called toward her. "Wait!" Nana glanced over toward the quizzical look on the Mahrim's face. "My name's Tarma, and I was wondering...how do you know Felas?" Nana smiled. "I'm Nana, and I only know Felas because I work with her." She offered her hand, and Tarma accepted as she shook it. "That's funny, " Tarma said, "Because I have a sister named Felas..."
Raze_3103
Kanya heard the comotion outside and went to look on it. As she walked outside, she saw the last troll fall to the ground, dead. She wispered to herself, "Damn that friggin lizzard. I am going to kill him next time I get the chance." She spat on the ground as she saw him look at her. "You are going to do what? It shall be hard to kill me little one." He smirked at her, but was cut off as Drog growled at him. "Not now, lets just let the bastard be." She glared at the slake as she heard someone familiar. "Hey, its the wilder. Its Nana right?" Drog said walking up to her. "Well, its the wolf, and what are you two doing here?" Nana asked, turning twards Kanya. "We were getting food." She smiled then saw Tarma. "Oh, I am sorry for interupting you two. I shall be on my way." She smiled as Drog wimpered. "Lets go. we have alot to do." Kanya set a hand on Drog's head and began to walk away.
0ber0n the Neko
Tyr remained silent. Finally, he spoke. "Your lasers will not affect the trolls. At least, not for long." Sazurothz gazed at him idly. "What do you mean?" "They regenerate. It would only take moments for them to heal with the tiny holes left by your service pistols." Sazurothz slowly lowered his pistol. "So how do we kill them?" A smile slithered across Tyr's face. "Fire." A troll bleated out a mighty warcry. He ran towards Tyr with his warscythe raised. Tyr raised his hand. A black flame began to appear slowly around it. The troll's confident grin turned to a grimace of horror, as he tried to stop his advance. Tyr threw the fire at the troll, who shrieked in terror as his green skin turned black. He recoiled in terror, falling to the earth in a fiery heap. Tyr gestured towards the large plasma cannon strapped to Sazurothz's back. "That'll work, too." Sazurothz was staring at the screaming, writhing mass of fiery carnage that lay at his feet. He snapped to attention, unharnessing the cannon from his back. Thorkell laughed. "I haven't slain a troll in ages!" he drew his axe. "I'll take pleasure in rending the meat from their bones!" he yelled, rushing towards the trollish adversaries. OOC: I will explain the plan in a later scene. Stay updated. Jakehammaren
OOC: \m/ (>.<) \m/ Now that's more like it! Oh, and by the way, Trolls can die of beheading as well. As Thorkell charged toward the Trolls with an almost gleeful roar, Tarma turned to Jar and said "what the hell is he doing? They'll kill him!" Jar shook his head. "He's full of mead. Either way, he is a Viking, after all. They're trained from young ages to battle the Trollfolk." The two remaining Trolls stood in full health once again. The largest one held his battleaxe above his head and screamed something in Trollish. He made a high-pitched whistling noise, upon which his Nørdwolf emerged from an alleyway. He mouted it and screamed in Trollish again. Everyone became involved at this point. They needed to bide time so that Tyr and Sazurothz could take down the creatures once and for all. Thorkell charged straight for the unmounted one, axe swinging. The troll's massive flail swept across the ground in a wide arc, which Thorkell jumped over. He attempted to bring his axe down into the Troll's skull, but it caught the weapon's handle in it's hand (effortlessly, Thorkell noted). It was ripped from his grip and cast aside. Thorkell was now unarmed and at the mercy of the Troll. It held him up by the arm. "Skargets hshk'll magrin!" The Troll practically spit these words in his face. "F'ghelds ijellks meksket," said Thorkell bitterly in the Troll tounge. "Karkhetts mekhnat morgh!" This angered the Troll, who raised becan spinning his flail in preperation of the mutilation of the Viking. BLAM! It's hand stopped short. A hole smack dab in the middle of it's forhead began oozing dark red Trollblood. The creature dropped Thorkell, stumbled back, and fell. Thorkell stood and turned to see Nana blowing smoke from the barrel of her antique gun. "Thanks, sister. I owe you one," he said. "It's nothing," replied Nana. "I could've handled it, you know - but what a great shot!" He laughed mightily, picked up his axe, and turned to once again face the Trolls. The group was now cheering him on. He was a great warrior and he needed no help this time! The one mounted on the Nørdwolf was next. It was charging at him now, cursing in Trollish. It had a battleaxe to rival Thorkell's in size (but not beauty, of course), and looked very, very irked. Thorkell stood in place, waiting for the Troll to near. It brought back it's axe, ready to rend the Viking, but at the last moment, Thorkell sidestepped it and slashed out the Nørdwolf's legs with his own axe. The Nørdwolf yelped and hit the ground hard, facefirst. The Troll, who was on top of things today, hopped of the flailing canine before he was thrown off. It snarled deeply. "Felkens dar'sket," it growled. " Felkens riskjelltar!" "Untag dartegnat," replied Thorkell with a laugh. The troll did not find what he said to be funny. Eskari turned to Dred and said "It's on." Steel began to clash as the two went at it. Trollish iron versus Viking steel. It was a sight to behold. The exchanging of blows become more and more intense, and everyone could tell this was going to be a tough battle for the lone Norseman. "We have to help him," cried Tarma. "Come on!" Her sais were instantly in her hands in preperation for charge, but a cry from Tyr stopped her. "No! This is something you must learn about Vikings. Battle is a ceramonial act. He needs to do this on his own - to uphold his honor." And if hes still the Thorkell I knew years back, he'll come out of this, drink to it, and brag about the scars. This thought brought a sliver of a smile to Tyr's face. Well, back to work. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The battle between Thorkell and the Troll raged on. This Troll was extremely skilled, and didn't let up. Thorkell kept looking for a mistake, but the creature didn't make one. The blows kept on coming. Wait... As he observed the Troll, he noticed that each swing of his axe became more forceful - but with force came a wavering of his precious stance. Wait for it... Thorkell knew this had to be timed perfectly. WAIT FOR IT... There! As the Troll's axe came in again, Thorkell dropped down and swung at the creature's feet. It fell hard. Out came Thorkell's sword as he placed one foot on the Troll's chest. "Makhrim deshtar," said the Troll between gasps. Thorkell placed his axe on one side of the Troll's neck and his sword on the other. In one swift motion, the he lopped off the creatures head so cleany that the blood sprayed only onto the ground. "That'll do you." Thorkell turned to the group. "See? No problem!" The group cheered, but gasped again as the other Troll once again began advancing. The wound in it's forehead had healed - but not without a scar. And it was still moving slow... the bullet must have loged itself in the creature's brain. "Enough!" Thorkell charged straight at the Troll and beheaded it with one fell swoop of his axe before the creature had any time to even think about it. "Hey Tyr! You can be done with your little plan. I've taken care of the last ones." He slid his sword back into it's sheath and leaned on his axe. "I wish this was true, my friend - but alas, our luck is not as such." Tyr's eyes led Thorkell's gaze behind him again, and his sight was met with six more Trolls, all on Nørdwolves. Thorkell knew the group would never survive this if Tyr and Sazurothz didn't get their shit together fast.
