Noodle
Well, Christmas is just around the corner, and, as usual, those presents under the tree are driving us all mad. So, has anyone here given in to the urge and peeked, not just at Christmas, but any time for that matter? Or are you the kind who shakes/pokes at them? Or is "High Security" keeping you from peeking? Just being curious! Anyway, I am beeing watched like a felon around here, so I've only been able to get a glimpse at one. It was in a bag, no wraping, just tissue paper, so I couldn't resist!(It's an Edward Scissorhands plushie!!) I'm a bad person... :animesigh
IceRose
Well once upon a midnight I did peak at my Christmas presents, when I was younger. Then I found that Santa Claus was not real, the presents were not under the tree they were in my aunts room and I found all the paper mache and the bows all over the place, so devastating. Anyways I haven't really looked at what my family got me and I wish it was an industrial mixer.
Kanariya
Of course I spied on them...when I was younger. Now I'm just too lazy to get up in the middle of the night to spy on them when I could be sleeping and dreaming about tacos and all that crazy crap. But I did it when I was seven, and I caught them bringing the presents up the stairs. It wasn't really devastating, since I had been skeptical of the existance of 'Santa Clause', and so I just went with it. It was cool though, cause after opening all the presents I still didn't have to clean up all the wrapping paper. =) And I found some presents too when I was younger but they were all wrapped so I didn't bother to take it off. I did lose something though, all the surprise. Peeking on them just lost the Christmas effect, and basically throughout the weekend I'm probably not going to be in the 'Christmas Spirit' at all, it's a shame. Oh well, I'll going to enjoy giving my parents and teachers presents though, so it's all good.
SaiyanPrincessX
I only tryed to peek at them once, when I was 12 I think. I ripped a little of the paper to see what it was. It didn't turn out to be what I wanted, so I totally lost the whole surprise and excitement affect. I felt so bad when I did it too. My brother told my aunt I did it, but never told my mom. -_-;; Of course I always shook my presents however, heh. Nowadays I won't touch them, I don't want to know untill Christmas morning. It is torture seeing those presents under the tree, but I can take it.

boothten
Haha, nah, I did that in 6th grade. I felt really guilty afterwards too, so I stopped. And no, I didn't get what I wanted that year.. pssht. I haven't peaked this year, it's hard not to. I've been pushing for an iPod nano. In every conversation I'm in with my mom I ask, "Huh? Did I just hear you say iPod nano?" She'd reply no, and I'd walk back to whatever I was doing previous that. Gah, hurry up Christmas. =]
Corey
Between college and working for about thirty-five hours a week, this month has passed incredibly fast for me. I haven't even had time to shake my presents much less look at how many I have. Yesterday I was relatively frantic due to the fact I hadn't realized Christmas was in two days. I hadn't even started shopping.:animeswea I can honestly say I never peeked at a single present. I was always under the impression that my mother would know somehow. She has incredible hearing and always knew when I did something wrong when I was little. I could never get away with anything in the first place, so I never tried peeking.
2010DigitalBoy
This Christmas I am getting Fire Emblem Path Of Rafiance. That's all. Do I care? No. I am far to chivalrous to be upset over such things as presents! [Inner Tical]: >_< This sucks! Oh well, my mom hates X-mas anyway.
Revolut1on
I had a pretty short list this year, so I already knew what I was getting. So far I've seen 3 of my video games : Guitar Hero, Soul Calibur III, and We love Katamari. Eventhough I usually see some of my Christmas presents I'm still surprised when I get them. I don't know why, but there's something about pulling back that wrapping paper, it's sort of hypnotic :animestun
Petie
I guess you really can't consider this peeking but I do know I'm getting the Xbox 360. Of course, when you are the one putting the reservation down on it and then later (and by later, I mean yesterday, though I'm not actually going to open it until tomorrow) picking it up from Game Stop, it's sort of impossible not to know. I accidentally found out I was getting an iPod mini last year when I walked into my parents' room and it was unwrapped on the bed. The Xbox I'm glad I know about because it would drive me crazy not knowing if I wouldn't be getting it until March. Once I saw the iPod though, I really wished I hadn't walked in - I still like the surprise on Christmas morning.
Lindus
I've never peaked. Though I've looked so hard through out the years to find the gifts before they're wrapped. My mom's a master :animesigh I was really really close to peaking at the present from my brother the other day though. He did such a shotty job of wrapping, it would've been easy to peal off the wrapping paper then put it back on. It's especially easy since it wasn't a box and was kind of awkward. I had started pealing off the paper from the gift twice this week when I stopped myself. I don't just want to be suprised. I need to be suprised. Otherwise, they'll know I knew what it was. XD Just one more day btw, do people celebrate on Christmas Eve, Christmas, or both? I celebrate with my mom's family on Christmas Eve, open Santa's presents Christmas morning, then celebrate with my dad's family.
celestialcharm
I opened one that my friend gave me. It was a purple bag! It was so cute! On Christmas eve, last year, I finally snapped, and opened up the first Inuyasha movie that my eldest sister got me. She got me the second one too, but I just opened up the first one, closed the tv room door, watched it and put it back. But, she found out I watched it. She's evil because she wraps up her presents, and leaves them there on purpose! I celebrate Christmas on Christmas day, well usually anyways.
Goodbye, Face
I accidentally opened up the box containing my Circle Takes the Square hoodie, I had ordered other things that shipped the same day and my parents thought it would arrive later or something. Whatever, it's very nice. I was able to check the size of the boxes today, I only asked for one cd and there's two cd-shaped boxes, so I've been wondering about that. There's also a lot of DVD boxes, which I'm guessing are games. There's a few other things, but I'm at a loss with those, mom like to put small stuff in big boxes, so we'll see.
Panda
Unfortunately for me the Christmas excitement I felt as a child is gone. Presents aren't as exciting as they use to be...I guess that is what happens after almost 30 years of living. I am the youngest in the house so there aren't any little ones to bring that thrill back. That Christmas excitement is something I definately miss. Now with that said I haven't touch any of the gifts that are sitting under the tree. My parents trust me enough that they have already brought the gifts over to my house for tomorrow's celebration. We do keep gifts a secret from the one receiving it, but not from the other family members. Does that make sense? So my brother knows what everyone is giving each other but doesn't know what he is getting from anyone. I did peak one year at a couple of my gifts when I was younger and when I actually opened it the excitement was gone. I didn't like that so I never peaked again. There is just something really cool and fun about getting a suprise gift. Even if it is only a sweater. Merry Christmas all and hopefully you'll all get what you wished for from Santa! All I did was runs, arrains, help, chores, and whatnot. It just felt like all that sucked all the magic out of me. Actually I became very depressed today.... Kinda hoping christmas ends soon.... I know I hate to say that but I also mean it. Also since I am feeling this way I suppose I have to also add: BAH HUMBUG
