I'm a fan of the F-Zero franchise too. I think they're the best racing games out there... even better than Mario Kart. I like the idea of having missions in the latest GBA version (forgot the name), as it gave it something to go on like the Story mode did in GX.

I really hope Nintendo release a F-Zero game for the DS sometime. I'd love to see what they could do with the support of the second screen. Though if they just attached a map of the course or something then I'd be dissapointed, but I'd still be excited about it.

I agree with you, nintendo should make an f-zero for the nintendo ds and they should probably make one for the nintendo revolution, and the GBA game is called f-zero GP legend, oh and if you are an f-zero fan you should try http://www.mrfixitonline.com then click on f-zero then go to videos and the site has a bunch of f-zero gx videos, and every other f-zero game ever made, but the ones for f-zero gx are amazing

I've been a fan of the F-Zero games since I got F-Zero: Maximum Velocity with my GBA back in 2001. Before that I had played a bit of F-Zero on the SNES, but not very much. And I rented F-Zero X on the N64, but didn't like the drift control; it felt too slippery. So I was actually kind of surprised when I ended up liking Maximum Velocity even more than Super Mario Advance, the other game I bought at the GBA's launch. I played it for hours and hours, going back to it every now and then all the way up till F-Zero GX was released.

As you can imagine, having been so impressed by both Maximum Velocity as well as everything I'd been hearing about GX, I bought F-Zero GX as soon as it was released. My first few races were a rush, no pun intended. The speed, the winding, looping tracks, the bashing of other racers. . . . I loved it all. F-Zero GX tops even Mario Kart for my favorite racing game on the GCN. Its only real flaw, in my eyes, is that you can't play two player grand prix and you can't have CPU opponents in versus matches.

But after GX, GP Legend on the GBA failed to impress me. It looked pretty much the same as Maximum Velocity only with different tracks and racers, and the story mode thing. (Which I was never interested in, especially not after playing through GX's annoying story missions.) I watched some videos of it on the net and GP Legend just didn't look like it had the speed or track complexity to even come close to matching GX, so I never did buy it.

And here I am, also awaiting the next F-Zero game. DS or Revolution versions would both be good with me, but either way, they had better measure up to GX. I'm also expecting better multiplayer options, as well as being able to play over the Nintendo W-Fi Connection. Single player in GX was a lot of fun, but it's hard to beat the thrill of bashing a friend into the wall right at the end of a race to take 1st.

F-Zero AX has been out since GX has. AX is just the arcade version counter-part of GX, it's not a whole new game or anything. There are just very few F-Zero AX machines in the US, so it's hard to find it.

You can unlock all the AX tracks and machines in GX without ever playing AX, though. You just need to beat all the grand prix cups on the hardest difficulty for the tracks, and all the story mode missions on the hardest difficulty for the machines. No easy task, but it can be done. Myself, I only have the tracks unlocked since the story missions annoy me on the normal difficulty, let alone hard and very hard.
