Naming weapons...

If you hade your most cherished weapon with ya, what would you name it? You know, like Inuyasha has Tetsusaiga, Sesshoumaru has Totijin(which only heals) and Tenseiga and Bakotsu has Banryuu (which he calls his "baby")

For me, I'd have 2 demon fang, the first by the name of Onikotsu and the other by Kotsusei.

[COLOR=#A18A58]If my weapon be a sword or a spear, then I'll probably call my weapon "Heart Piercer" or some other name that evokes mutilation and a bloody, messy death. A name that can scare the enemy off, yeah?

As for paired weapons, I'd like to give 'em names like "Milk and Honey" or "Ebony and Ivory" (yes, those are the names of Dante's guns). After actual partners/combinations, yeah? It's cute, quirky and fit. [/COLOR]

Well, I have a set of signature weapons that I'm known for using in RPs.

BAH - It stands for "Big *** Halberd." This is my primary weapon because, quite frankly, it can do anything. I've used it to shatter dimensions, teleport me anywhere (even to hell), magically remove clothes (my charachter gets it on with just about every charachter in the RP XD), destroy entire villages, and summon my other 9 weapons.

Kyo no Ryu - KnR or "Kyo's Dragon" is a 2 foot long sword with a serpent dragon wrapped around it. The weapon can talk also, of course. It's primary function is to drain. It can drain life, power, magic, anything. It's ultimate move is where it sucks up the entire universe at the cost of it's own life (leaving you stranded in some other universe)

Leaf Saber - This is a fairly thich though rather short sword made entirely of leaves. It gives it's user impossible speed. It is the weakest of the ten weapons, though, as it can be burned easily.

Kamui - Just your average japanese style sword, but 9 feet long! I know, Sephiroth rip off, but it comes in handy!

The other 6 have yet to be revealed.

I usually name mine after random people from mythos/reality/other random things. Izanami; The Epitaph; Theia; etc., so if I was armed with some kind of trademark weapon it would be named something like that.

I was thinking of naming a weapon after Desbreko but that's kind of hard to yell all the time, e.g.: Roar, Desbreko! Fear my Desbreko! Feel the wrath of my Desbreko! Oh no, they stole the Desbreko!

You have to consider these things when naming weapons, you know?[/color]

My weapon would be a doubled edged sword, I would call it Light of darkness. Its power is easy, kills but before the thing can die they shall reveal their most dark secrets and such shall be revealed to the ones who it pertains through a ray of light.

My second weapon would be Blind dust, its practically a small dagger. When used in battle, if you pierce someone with it, it emits a dark dust which glides to the eyes and blinds the person.

Actually, I only have one name for a weapon at this point, and that weapon is currently being used in an RP. The weapon itself is an antique Smith & Wesson with stylized vine-style engravings and the initials 'M.J. Tanner' on it. It's based off of an actual weapon I found when browsing the 'net, a genuine gun used by a man I believe is called 'F. W. Simpson' in the Civil War.

Frankly, I like M.J. Tanner better. I'm not constantly thinking of Homer Simpson when I see it's picture.

However, M.J. Tanner is a mouthful, so I simply call it 'Tanner'.

Yeah, some lame names, I know n.n;; But, I really like them.

My generic white mage character, who I've adapted for use in a few RPGs, uses a mythril quarter staff. I've never really given any thought to naming it, though. Maybe something along the lines of [url=http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=aegis][u]Aegis[/u][/url]? Something to do with protection/self defense. But I suck at coming up with original names.[/color]

If I had a weapon it would be a Muramasa demon katana. I would name it Himawari(sunflower in japanese). The reason I'd name it that is because when you'd slice/stab someone it would give off a light energy source making the victim that was cut burn. Plus, the guard would be in the shape of a sunflower to give it something unique.

The perfect name for any weapon with a blade would be Fenrir. Why do you ask? Well; Wouldn't the name of The Nordic Wolf inspire fear in your enemies?

Another cool one for a stave type weapon would be 'Heaven Fang' because It is very cool sounding. It could also be substituted fpr any other type of weapon. Of cause Heaven Fang is a fairly Generic sounding name for a Priest-like character.

For Dual weapons; The cool ones would be Tranquility and Anarchy or Sun and Moon because pairs need to have similar names when it comes to weapons.

Fans. The same type I gave my character from one of the fanfics. I can imagine them, beautiful, fragile but so utterly lethal. The edges would be razor sharp and it's bulletproof (too many guys use guns). Bleh I'm ruining it, I wish I could draw.....I'd call them...Dublade...or endow it with a random latin name. xD
