Emilio was put at peace to see that everything was still together, it had been rouhg, but they were all still alive. Emilio and Grace traveld up through tis long dark tunnel that seemed endless, with no sign of ending. And with a flash, the cave they were once in disappeared and they reappeared in very new place. Emilio stopped and surveyed the area beneath him, it was strange. It was the same as the outside, yet not the same What was this place, Emilio looked to Grace "This place makes my skin crawl."

Grace glanced back to him "So is the realm of the demon king."

Emilio noticed she seemed unsettled as she spoke, as if her mind was wandering, but decided it best not to pry in a time such as this. He looked out tot he right "There's a river not more then a mile that way, you can drop me there and I'll follow."

Grace looked back and nodded to him. Emilio found it strange that since they had arrived they had yet to see Achilles or any of the others come following. What had happend to them? Were they merely waiting for something else? Or was it this thing was dumping them out at random. There was no way to be sure, and the atmosphere of this place was throwing off his perception so he couldn't even sense Achilles new energy.

After much flying Grace an Emillio finally caught way of the end of the tunnel. Reaching it they came out the other side to see Achilles standing over to one side waiting for them.

?Took you long enough? Grace just looked at him and didn?t say anything, soon after Chrys followed by Amer and Sarin came out of the tunnel.
?That was a little weird? Chrys noted looking around at the others. Grace looked around the place seemed familiar but she didn?t think she had been here before.
?We?re at the back of the castle? Achilles said, his new form looking up the back wall of the castle. Everyone could hear laughter, cheers and whooping, like the masses were cheering someone on.
?We must find Gale and fast he could be in real danger? Chrys looked around at everyone for approval and they nodded.

?We also need a plan? Amer noted to the rest. They all came together to formulate a one. Grace stepped back leaving the rest to figure out what they were doing. Something had come across her mind while traveling in the strange tunnel, something that had been bothering her for a while. Ever since she was brought together with these Daemons and there plight to save Gales kingdom, she had been bothered by the fact that the Elfish army had arrived so quickly at Gale?s castle. She had estimated their arrival at around a week but they had succeeded in getting there in less than 40 minutes.

Then it hit her, Grace shouted out loud with her apparent realization making everyone turn to face her. ?That?s it! Ohh damn it! Why didn?t I see it before?!?
?See what before?? Emillio questioned. But Grace ignored his comment still mentally beating her self up for the fact she of all people didn?t realize what was going on. Sarin grew angry at her lack of communication.
?Spit it out Girl!? he hissed at her. She looked up as if it was all obvious.
?I know why the elves got here so quickly! And it wasn?t because they had some kind of transport magic. They had help??
?Who!?? Achilles joined in this time.
?It look me 15 minutes to get here, it took them an extra?..right so. That?s it!? Grace looked up from her very random train of thought to see some very confused faces.
?Care to explain?? Chrys nodded towards Grace.
?They got here so quickly because MY people where helping them!...?

Chrys mentally took a tally herself, admittedly counting on fingers to make sure she was right. She nodded, seconding Grace's conviction. "It does make a lot of sense?I see your point. And don't worry; I'm not going to think that you are in with the Elves' side of things. That is, unless you are."

She watched Grace's reaction carefully, and even if she was on a different train of thought then the rest of the group she still felt she was right this time. The Sky Demon shook her head No, without doubt worried the trust that everyone was building would shatter in that instant. People did shift uncomfortably however slightly. Chrys just laughed lightly. "Good enough for me. And no, I didn't go senile."

The cheering paused for a split second, but started up again an instant after as if those in audience to whatever was happening were holding their breaths in a moment of anticipation. She mumbled something under her breath, moving her palm in front of her in a small bowl-sized circle. A trail of red followed her movement to complete the circle.
"What are you doing?" Achilles asked, but others were no doubt thinking the same thing.
"A neat little new trick I learned?haven't quite got the hang of it yet?" se responded. The ring faded after a lingering moment. Chrys shook her head. "It didn't work?but I know something is wrong. Forget the plan, you guys can hammer out the rest of the details if you want but I'm going after Gale. And now."

She didn't wait for everyone's approval and didn't give any of them time to stop her. Stubborn and brash were difficult characteristics to drop. Her dark eyes slowly started their decent into the orangey hue, but Chrys kept it at a moderate level so that she wouldn't loose herself. She took out every Elf in her way silently without giving any warning to any others as she made her way to locate Gale.

Thunder roared across the sky as the gods seemed to be watching the fight between Gale and Orion. The two titans matched blow to blow. The ground was cracking under them as Orion would use his elf magic against Gale's explosion attacks. The two kings we're equaled, but Orion was winning. He wasn't badly hurt as Gale was. It was only a matter of time before Gale's body gave out.
"Gale!!" Gale looked over his shoulder and saw Chrys in the sky. How did she get here? Pain shocked his neck as he fell to the ground, the elf king over him. He thrust his sword into the ground causing flames to form around them. They formed a circle, which caved over them as well. Orion walked around Gale, waiting for him.
"This is called the Sacifice Circle. One of the two forbiddening moves in magic history. The user summons these flames as a unbreakable wall around two foes. This circle will disappear only if one of the two warriors die." Gale got up, gripping his sword tightly. He knew this day would come, only a matter of time. The fate of Fujin didn't rest in Gale. It was up to his friends. He got Orion right were he wanted. A golden aura surrounded Gale as he threw down his sword. Orion's expression changed to see what Gale was doing.
"You'll kill both of us!!!" Gale only smiled to see Orion in rage.
"You still underesimate me, Orion. You took me to a place that didn't exist, a place where I thought I destroyed my sacred stone, but didn't." The sacred gem of Fujin flipped out of the clothing of Gale. He grabbed it and flung it through the barrier and towards Chrys. She caught it with ease. Tears went down her eyes as she knew what he was going to do.
"Chrys, you decide if you want me back. Don't bring me back unless you love me, if you don't destroy the stone, so no one can be immortal." He waved as he turned to Orion, who was laughing.
"Even if you do ill me. The elder of the elves will still use the utlimate magice, To destroy gia." He flipped up three fingers. "Three days and kiss this world goodbye." Gale grinned to see Orion losing his mind.
"Alright, Goodbye." He waved as Gale roared in self-explosion. Destroying Orion and him.

Amer looked up at the sky and saw the explosion. "The idiot didn't." He clenched his fist as he looked at Sarin. They both nodded as they flew over he wall. They landed behind the croud of elves who seemed stunned by their showing.

"Sarin. Just stay back a little. This may get a little out of hand." Amer began walking forward as his arm began to change. It grew twice in size, and turned to steed. He smiled as he clenched his fist. To the unknown fighter, his arm looked to be the only thing that changed, but to the trained eye, his bones became incased in the steel that had become his arm.

"Hope you bastards like the feeling of a little ice." He smiled as he slamed his fist into the ground, turning nearly ten of hte elves into ice statues. He walked up to them and tapped them, making hem crumble to peices. "Who else likes a little cill." His eyes became glazed over as he walked twards the rest of them.

Emilio saw the flicker before the blast. He slammed his fists to the ground as the explosions leveled much of the surrounding areas. Emilio could remeber this from before, this was Gale. What had happend? Emilio looked to Grace "We have to go, they'll need us."

Grace looked and nodded to him as Grace went over the wall and Emilio jumped after her. As they came over the wall they saw all the a crowd of elves all staring off toward the epicenter, they had been watching something. Probably Gale destroying himself. Emilio waved Grace forward and Emilio began his assualt as well.

He set his hands on his jug at his waist and drew out a flail and hailed it at the elves still watching on. Emilio managed to smash three of them in his first strike and disable two others. The crowd quickly turned to be met yet another swing from his flail. It was at this time that Emilio noticed Chrys coming his way, she was calling to him and the others "We have to leave! Hurry!"

It didn't make much sense to him at the time to just leave, but he decided not to question her, she was the only one who really knew what happend. Emilio and Grace leapt back to the other side of the wall and made a break for it, some pretty pissed off elves were going to be following them pretty soon. Grace reached out to Emilio "Take my hand."

Emilio grabbed on without another thought and the two took to the skies for an escape. Emilio was still curious as to what was going on that Gale felt it neccesary to blow himself up like that, and why did Chrys demand that they leave? What was so urgent? Nothing made sense at this point, but at this time it really didn't have to.

Chrys flew after Grace and Emilio, a ways behind. She scanned the surroundings for signs of the others first. It wasn't difficult. She swooped down and landed next to Sarin, knowing better than to talk to Amer first. "Sarin, get Amer and let's get going. I'll explain everything when we're all a good distance away."

Sarin nodded, and started walking over toward Amer to snap him out of the 'glazed state'. Chrys didn't wait up, and flew over to where Achilles was while killing every Elf that got in her way. "Gale killed the Orion fellow, but?" Her face was streaked with tears as she shook her head. "Come on, I'm pulling everyone out. We have a huge problem."
"Gale did it again didn't he."
The fire demon nodded, opening her hand so Achilles could see the Sacred Stone of Fujin that Gale had thrown to her just minutes before. She was about to loose it in tears, but was trying her hardest to control herself. There were things that needed to be addressed before she could cry her heart out like a child. "Yes, but there's more. We have to hurry if we want to catch up with everyone. I'll explain then."

Achilles nodded, and they both took off to fly in the direction Grace and Emilio had taken. She looked over, and saw how her old friend was still adjusting to the new body?and the wings. The fire demon laughed quietly a little bit. "Any tips?" he asked straight to the point.
"Well, don't over think about it I guess?" she started. She had been flying almost before she could walk, and it was more second nature to her now rather than an acknowledged skill. "The trick is staying balanced. And being able to regain lost balance if things get rough."
To demonstrate, Chrys put her arms out to the sides to make a 'T' shape. Turning a bit so that one hand was pointed at an angle to the ground ant the other straight opposite as she changed directions, she flew in an arc to the right, then turned around and came back. It looked funny, but it worked.

They saw Grace and Emilio head down for a landing safely away from Elven pursuers. She and Achilles followed. Standing on the ground, the four turned slightly to see Sarin and Amer arriving. They didn't look too happy to seemingly be running away from the Elven forces. "What was that all about?" Amer asked annoyed.

"Well, as everyone either knows or suspects, Gale went and blown himself up again. Good news is, the big bad evil leader guy Orion is dead," she started tearing up again.
"Well then why aren't we finishing them off and kicking them out of the castle?" Sarin interrupted. Amer nodded in agreement.
"I'll get to the point then," Chrys replied coldly. "The Elven Elder, three days." She held up three fingers in emphasis. "We have three days, and if we don't kill the damned Elf by then, kiss the entire world goodbye. The ultimate forbidden magic. Kaboom. Clear enough?"

She walked away from the stunned faces. Not too far, she was still in sight, but just far enough that she could cry in peace. Leaning against a boulder with her back to the others, she looked sadly through watery eyes at the blurry image of the Sacred Stone. Her fingers closed around it and held it close, eyes closed, sobbing quietly. "Gale?come back?I?love you?" She choked with difficulty through the water works. A small glow could be seen through her fingers, not that she was aware of it.

Gale sighed as the old woman was dead asleep, floating in the air. He never thought he would see her again.
"Grandma...Hello!!" The old woman coughed and peered through her eyes at Gale. She licked her lips.
"Good for you to come back. Been asleep for three years." Oh was that possible? Oh well, she is sure not human.
"Killed herself again? It's getting old son."
"Yeah, well I love doing it. Your flesh burns and explodes. It's a rush." He gripped his sword, thinking for alittle more training when a door at the end of the white room opened. Already? That was fast.
"Guess she made up her mind." The old woman said as she went on to doze off.
"Before I go. Tell me about this Elf elder." The old woman's eyes opened wide as she twist around to Gale.
"He's still alive??!! That's not possible!!" She snapped her fingers for the crystal ball as it appeared in front of her. It glowed, but the light turned into darkness as it shattered into pieces. Grandma couldn't stop shaking.
"You heard of the 3,000 war, right?" Gale nodded, wanting to know what's going on.
"It was a war that almost destroyed the world. The elfs had a trump card, Their elder. He was a master of magic and swordsmanship. He was perfect. When the two forces battled on last time, the elves were losing for Fujin had a god on their side. The elder and the Fujin god fought one on one. The god was winning the battle easily. In rage, the elder cast the most strongest spell in life, The end of the World. But before he complete it, The Fujin God struck him in the heart and killed him. That's how it ended." Gale stared in amazement.
"How is he still alive?"
"The elves did a ritual probably. The Ritual is 100 elves giving up their lives for someone to come back to life. Now that the elder is back...."
"We can beat him!" Gale roared, he couldn't help it.
"You don't understand! It took a god to kill him! Not even the strongest of demons can kill him!" Gale stared at the ground, it was possible. No way.
"What should we do?"
".....Accept death." Gale frowned and began to walk to the black door.
"What are you doing? Your'll die again." Gale stoped, the door half way open.
"My friends and I always defeatede those odds. Beating dredick, the four warriors, the shadow army, and now orion. We can beat this elder." He smiled as he walked out. The room became silent as the old woman bowed her head.
"No....You can't."

Emilio watched as Chrys walked off, her face still streaked from her tears. Grace motioned to go after her, but Emilio put his hand out and stopped her "She needs to be alone for a moment. Don't worry, everything will be better soon."

Grace seemed a bit confused by his confidence in this choice, but stopped anyway. Emilio motioned to her now "This might be a good time to explain myself to you. You can also explain yourself."

She looked to him, seeming a bit worried and hesitant, but then began to walk with him. Emilio saw this as the groups chance to get all outside problems out of the way before the final battle. This may well have been there last chance. He stopped once he was sure they were far enough away so the others might not hear them "Things have been kind of akward ever since you first appeared. Don't get me wrong, I don't want you gone your hate you because of who you are. I just have a hard time couping with a past that time won't allow me to forget."

Emilio sighed and then looked back to where the others were "Til I meet them, I was a blood thirsty monster. I lived only to kill and waited to be killed myself. I even challenged Chrys to a fight so I might kill her in combat. But something about them changed me, they made me stronger. I spent my whole life waiting to die up to that point, after Kami tried to do just that. But being with them gave me something to live for."

He looked to Grace and smiled to her for a moment before continuing "I guess what I'm trying to say is..... well.... I guess I don't know what I'm trying to say. I just want you to know what I was and how I changed. You don't have to say anything about yourself to me right now. I can understand not wanting to let others know your pain, but I'd appreciate it if you would some day, when you feel you can."

Grace smiled back to Emilio as he sighed and looked around them to the forest. He had never done anything like this and was still tingling a bit, but now that he had said it it made him feel a little better.

Grace smiled towards the water demon out of all in this group she was warming to him the most. However Achilles threat still lingered in the back of her mind. She looked around at the gathered daemons and signed inwardly.

This was all getting a little too much, Emillio, Gale and his companions, the whole elf situation and the possible destruction of the world as they know it, not to mention her peoples treachery and the death sentience still out on her head. She looked at Chrys and then returned her to attention to Emillio who was looking out at the forest.

?Perhaps?before our next battle when things aren?t so hectic?I will take up your offer and tell you more about my self, I thank you Emillio.? He looked at her a little puzzled.
?Why?? She smiled at him and looked at her feet.
?You are kind, even if you don?t think you are, I can see what you mean by these people have changed you?come something is happening.? Grace nodded to wards Chrys the stone she had was now glowing with an intense brightness.

The stone in Chry's hands shinned brightly as Gale appeared in front of the group. He rotate his neck as it popped, Grace and the twin demons never knew he could be brought back. Chrys stared at him, tears running down her cheeks.
"Gale...." He smiled as he walked over and whipped the tears away. He laid his hand on her shoulder as he looked at everyone else.
"I guess all of you know what's going to happen next." Chrys probably told them about the elder. He looked around at his kingdom. No, there was no more kingdom. His people where dead, and if some were still alive, they had no where else to go. Demon tribes also were destroyed. The only one left was these damn elves.
"Three days...." He whispered as he let go of Chrys and walked back. To think, this world would be destroyed. He glanced over at the group, who still waited for a plan.
"Gather everything useful around here food, water, medicine herps. half an hour and we'll head back to the mountains. Rest for a day or two there and face the elder in the final battle for our world." He glanced and smiled at them.
"Alright, let's go."

Emilio nodded and went off to find water, that was his specialty. Grace followed him as they left the group. Grace was still a bit baffled by the fact that Gale was gone but was now back. Emilio looked to her to explain "It's that stone you saw. The fujin sacred stone, it can raise the fallen king from his grave. But should it fall into the wrong hands, it can grant immortallity to it's pocessor. It has to be guarded constantly and vicously."

Grace nodded as the two moved through the forest. To the casual observer it would have seemed like aimless wandering in the way they moved. But Emilio knew exactly where they were going, he was looking for an auifer that wasn't that far off. There would be plenty of water there for the journey to the mountains, and maybe a little more for some protective purposes. Grace came over to Emilio and walked along side him as he scanned the ground. He made a sudden and abrupt stop, the aquifer was just beneath them.

Emilio looked to Grace "Stand back. Things about to rock."

Emilio put his hands on the ground and it began to rattle horribly. Water spouts rose from the ground and gatherd around him in a round gyro formation, circling him and whirling. He looked to Grace "This should be sufficient til we get to the mountains."

She nodded to him and they set back to rejoin the group. As they went grace spoke up again "Am I a burden?"

emilio stopped and looked to her as she continued "I feel like I haven't contributed to the group, like I'm just slowing you all down."

Emilio walked to her "You've helped alot, you pulled me out of a tight spot back there at the capital. If it weren't for you They probably would have caught me. You've been here for the group, that's enough. I wasn't always the best teamate. Just ask any of the others. Hell, Gale hated me for the longest time. Chrys, Achilles, even the wonder twins didn't like me that much when I frist came along, but they all alread like you. You're fine."

Chrys looked around the immediate area from where she stood. Provisions?supplies?that wouldn't be too difficult. Above everything though, she was just really glad to have Gale back. She walked over toward him, wanting to talk to him before going off on a scavenger hunt herself. "Do you think we really have a shot?" she asked standing next to him. "I mean, the last I heard of the Elven Elder before your fight with Lord Orion was in a writing about that war."

"We've overcome the odds before," Gale replied.
"There's always a limit?" she sighed quietly, but regained some of her former confident cheeriness. "But we won't know until we attempt it, right?"
"Right."
Chrys smiled at Gale, but it changed momentarily to a serious look as she hugged him. "I want you to promise me something though. Don't ever blow yourself up again, please?" She finished quietly. Able to be revived or not, she wasn't sure if she could live through that again.

Grace went down on her haunches and sat in the grass near Emillio.
?Well I guess this is a good time of any to talk to you.? He sat down next to her and watched her movements. She stared off into the distance.
?I wasn?t always this much of an outsider you know?? Emillio nodded. ?I had a family, sister, uncles the whole thing. Life was great. One spring day, 3 years ago my sister and I we?re hanging round in the orchards with some friends. I didn?t like them but hung around because she was my sister. We were talking and things started to get a little heated between me and one her friends she insulted me personally and my sister did nothing. The teasing kept up for a good long time, and my sister joined in. I proceeded to insult one of her friends with the most horrible insult one could say of our kind. This insult not only makes fun of you but your family as well, your honor. She ran away and my sister started to lecture me, I was older than her but that still didn?t stop her from talking up to me. One thing lead to another and in her anger she attacked me. Far stronger than my sister in magic I look the oxygen away from her surroundings. People of my kind can train in different arts; my sister was very proficient in hand to hand combat but couldn?t summon wind in its pure elemental form to save her life, literally.

I was furious with her for not defending me, for insulting me blind with rage I left her to suffocate.? Grace looked over at Emillio from the corner of her eye, he was staring at her.
?The witnesses went to get the adults, it look three high level wind daemons to subdue me. I was out on trial immediately, for murder, high insult and intent to harm. I was given the death sentence. My father pleaded with the court to let me live as I was his only daughter left. They agreed as my father was high on the governing council. So I was exiled. One year later in my exile I get word that there is a new king of the wind demons and he changed the laws. I was now to be hunted and brought to justice before my people. Tortured for the amount of days I was allowed to be free in my exile and then killed in the same way I killed my sister.? A tear ran down her face. And she looked over at Emillio. ?I?m not an evil person. I regret what I did with everything I have?? Grace stood up and started to walk off.

?We should get going and gather more supplies??

Achilles went out into the forest, collecting what he could. And also testing his body, seeing what it could do. He found his strength and speed were far greater then his old body. And that he seemed to have an extensive knowledge of dark magic, his senses were stronger as well proving to go beyond his usual abilities.

"I wonder if he can do this." He closed his eyes and chanted slowly to himself, slowlying changing his hands to different symbols. He finished the spell and his bones started to crack, his skin changing colors and his whole phsyiology changing. He shook himself after the change and found a pool of water.

He looked into it and saw his old face, even the scar that went from the top of his left eyebrow to the top of his cheek. He looked down at his clothes and saw they were the ones he was wearing before, his whole body had taken his old form. He smiled widely.

"His power is amazing. I knew he could do this, his powers are far greater then anyone could imagine." His sense were still far higher and he retained the strength and speed of the demon king. As he walked through the forest he heard two people talking, he quickly hid behind a tree listening to what they were saying.

He could see in the darkness it was Emilio and Grace. He heard her story and felt for her. Seeing that his threat was something he shouldn't have done. He cleared his throat loud and stepped from behind the tree. They both looked at him.

"Grace, I owe you an apoligie and something more." He walked over to her and stood in front of her, they both looked oddly at him, seeing he was in his old form.

"You have earned my trust and my axe, you shared with us information that, if taken the wrong way, could of meant death for you. Yet you told us anyways, and that is true courage. I consider you my friend." Achilles bowed his head to her, he turned and walked away. Going back to the others.

Gale blushed as she hugged him. Out of the darkness they went through, there was still light between them. He hugged her back as they stood like that for a minute. He had never been at peace like this in awhile. He grabbed her hand and took ahold of the sacred gem. He put it into his pocket as he gazed into her eyes.
"I promise...." She smiled as she dug her head into his chest, though something inside him made him thing wrong. The old woman in his mind kept saying, accept death. He released Chrys as he grinned.
"Now go on and find some supplies. Got around ten minutes left." She nodded as she flew off, leaving Gale alone in the town square. He looked around at the city and still shocked that this once beautiful city he grew up in was now a wasteland. Even if they did kill the elder...How would they rebuild? How many demons and humans are still alive?
"Mother....Father..." He felt as though he failed them, and destroyed their kingdom. He saw Achilles in his new body, which still freaked himout alittle.
"Achilles! Round everyone up! Time to head to the mountains before the sun sets." He nodded as Gale gathered up his things.

The world's last hope traveled through the wasteland of Fujin, towards the mountains. Gale was the first to reach the mountain base as the others fellowed up. They have been through alot...It was destiny that led them to the final battle. The sun was falling fast as he turned to his friends.
"Set up camp and get some rest. Tomorrow, we shall make a plan about how to enter the forest of the elves."

Looking around at the others Grace expanded her lungs and let out a deep sigh. Everyone was still sleeping. Chrys, Emillio, Gale, Achilles and the two shape shifters Amer and Sarin. Lifting her self softy off the ground and floating on the wind above the others Grace came to rest on a rock. From where she was the whole expanse of the Elvin forest lay before her. Looking out into the forest she sat deep in thought about the events past. They didn?t have long left to save the world and they really need to get going soon if Fujin had any hope of survival.

The sun was just appearing over the horizon casting a pinky yellowy glow over forest and the surroundings. The Elvin forest was untouched while the rest of Fujin burned. Somewhere in that forest she would have to come to face the bounty hunters that were after her and possibly the wind king as he was now allied with the enemy. Deeply sighing again Grace looked back over towards Chrys and Gale who were still sleeping near to each other. How lucky they were in love. She looked back over the forest and the rising sun. In the far distance the Elvin kingdom could just be made out.

Deep in thought Grace was startled by Amer and Sarin who had just woke up.

?We need to get moving? Amer spoke looking out over the forest. Grace nodded and the harmonizers and her self went about waking everyone up.

Emilio lie resting, deep in sleep, dreaming of better times. He heard Graces voice call to him. Something was on it's way, there was no time to lose. Emilio gathered to his feet quickly and woke Achilles who was sleeping not more then ten feet from him. He then ran to Grace "Is it already time to go?"

She nodded to the still grogy Kappa "Yes. We need to hurry, if we don't they might catch up to us."

Emilio nodded back and everyone hurried the things together. Today they would trek over the mountain to the forbidden land beyond. The land where the elves had found themselves banished all those millenia ago. Somewhere beyond those mountains was the key to there ultimate destruction.

They began there treacherous climb of the high mountains and took great care. Here they were well within enemy territory, anything could happen to them here. Emilio kept his wits about him, the mountain had alot of snow on it. Snow was just solid water. It may have been harder, but he could use it too, if it became necessary.

The trek was long, but they could make it in less thena day if they managed to avoid the enemy for long enough. Emilio looked to Chrys and Gale, the two were standing at each others side. They were in love. Much the way Emilio had once been, it made him feel at ease to see that even now they could show hope. He knew that if they made it over the mountain they would succeed. The mountain would be there final obstacle, the last great triumph.

Emilio looked to Grace who was walking just ahead of him. She also put him at ease. He felt a kinship with her and felt like he needed to look out for her on the battle field. In the short time he ha known all of them they ahd turned him from the vicous red tide, the butcher of the north. To the proud prince and future ruler of the great north lakes. For this reason, if nothing else, was the reason he had to look after them and see to it that no harm befell them on this journey, esspecially not Gale or Chrys. He couldn't explain why, but he knew they would be the most important of all.

Chrys looked ahead as they ascended the dangerous mountain. They had something important to do, and she wasn't looking back. Unusually calm, a feeling of peace had claimed her in spite of the looming danger. After what seemed like an eternity of walking, the view changed from the endless sight of snow and rocks to one of sky and the lands below. So far there had been no trouble?but the more time that passed the more unsettling it became. Everyone stopped at the peak of the path, both in the literal and metaphorical senses. It was all down hill from here, no longer any chances of going back. The world itself seemed to hold its breath.

The fire demon had unconsciously been doing the same, and her hand found it's way to Gale's. After a fleeting instant his fingers closed around hers. It was comforting. "I guess this is it?" she said absently looking on the horizon. They might have very well been walking right into a carefully planned ambush. Chrysanthema looked at everyone in turn. "It's been a pleasure, I've been a lucky girl to have known all of you?just incase." Just incase the chance to say it would not come again. Once the decent started, anything could happen...heck anythig could happen at that moment. She had a little nagging feeling tugging at the back of her mind behind the otherwise cheerful expression. She worried, alot. About everyone, but expecially Gale in particular.

Achilles looked at the others, seeing the gloomy effect this journey had taken on them. He heard Chrys words, knowing what she meant by "Just incase." He looked down the slope, his axe slung over his shoulders. He let out a deep breath, the cold air showed him a cloud of his breath.

"Well what are we waiting for? Lets be done with this and go home, I'm first." Achilles then took the first step to the bottom of the mountain. Looking out at the land and the sky. He held his axe ready if it was required of him to use it, a form of dark energy engulfed hi other hand. You never know what will happen, he thought to himself as the others followed. Achilles knew very well what awaited them, and he did not like it one bit.

The company walked down the mountain, as Achilles took lead. There was a thick fog while going down. Gale gripped Chrys hand as if he could lose her in the fog. They walked until Achilles stoped after afew minutes. The group paused as they looked around for a ambush.
"What's up?" whispered Emilio as he glide next to him.
"We made it.... But look." Gale couldn't see from where he stood. He guide Chrys closer towards Achilles as the company huddled over him. They had made it, but there was no ground. Only water. That shocked Gale as he knew that the kingdom was made out of trees.
"How far down?" Asked Grace as Emilio examined it. He studied closely at the water.
"We should be able to walk. Only to our knees." He stepped in it as the rest follow suit. Instantly the fog disappeared as the group looked on and gasped. The skies had purple wind currents gliding through the clouded sky. The ground refected the purple currents. It was nothing more water. It went on and on as the eye could see. Nothing but water. Something was wrong. It was the work of the elder.

The company didn't know what to do. Nothing, but water and acouple of rock formations was in front of them. It was a water wasteland. The group was puzzled, thinking, this was it? In a split second, Achilles yelled as he disappeared into the water. It was if he was consumed.
"Achilles!!!" The demon brothers started after him, but they two where sucked in where they stand.
"Stay where you are!!" Roared Gale as he pulled out his sword, gripping Chrys hand tighter. The last four stood in panic.
"I'll try to control it!" Emilio whispered as he waved his hands around himself. The water flew up, surrounding him and gulfed him in hole. Grace cried out as she took a step towards him, but ws taken instantly. Gale and Chrys stood alone. Gale left Chrys hand and hold her tightly.
"Don't worry, I won't let go." Then out of nowhere, she cried as the water sucked her in right under Gale. Gale went down and slammed his fist into the water, but hit his bare knuckles on the bottom. Now he was alone.
Gale... A whispered flowed in his ears as he slowly turned behidn him. Not far from Gale stood a figure in black. He was holding a serpent-fin kind of sword. Gale gasped as he would never forget that face. It was him. Karma. Gale got up, staring down his nemesis. He walked closer to him, until he could fully see his white pale face.
"How are you?"
"Still alive? I'm not, only a trapped soul." He still had that voice as if he was laughing.
"Where are my friends?!"
"They have been sent to other arenas. Such as this one to fight their fears, doubts, love ones. You name it."
"I didn't mean to kill you. I had no choice." He knew what Karma was getting to.
"I wanted ot see my family again. All you wanted was my blood. For the joy of killing." He got ready as Gale did the same.
"I will find you Chrys. Hold on." He roared as he charged after the ghost of his past.

Sarin looked arond puzzeled. he was in a wind swept barren plian and another figure stood. "Hey amer you okay"

"Yeah"

Sarin turned as he was caught by a fist tot he face. "Amer what the heck ar you doing"

Amer smiled. "Killing you"

Sarin noticed something wasn't right. Amer's eyes were a different color. "Your not Amer" He backhanded the imposter across the plain. He could only hope that Amer had figured out that the one he was most likely fighting wasn't his brother as well.

Chrys turned about from where she stood, immediately jumping to her feet after landing in a place she did not know. Where was everybody? The strange water?it had pulled her to someplace, another of the Elder's magic diversions. To keep the group busy no doubt, if they all died in the process a big bonus. She couldn't see any signs of life, not even plants. She looked up. The sky was the same, definitely still in the domain. But there was none of the water where the fire demon now stood. The terrain?it looked like?Dante's Peak?

"You are late." She whirled around on her heal to face the speaker. Mizale. His wings were shredded, the image of the blood he bled caking the colorless skin and torn clothes. "Again, you weren't here. Where were you this time around? Run scared like the cowardly disgrace you are? Huh cousin?"
"I'm no coward," she said standing still, arms at her sides. The apparition flew past her, a line of blood appearing on her cheek. She hadn't moved. Images of all the dead, deceased's memories of what happened, tons of heartbreaking and fearful things running through her mind, many too horrible to repeat. Almost tearing her attention from Mizale. Telling her it was some how her fault, that she had let everyone down and disgraced her family, her demonic race.
"What's the matter? It's too late for guilt. Tell me Miss Chrysanthema, where were you when the mighty force of Elves tore through the land?!" he taunted. Chrys' eyes narrowed to daggerish slits. "You. Are. Not. Mizale."
"Of course I am-" the image didn't get a chance to finish as the scythe buried itself in its chest. Red flames licked at the thing that claimed to be Mizale as the illusion faded to reveal the Elven guard it was concealing. "How'd you know?"
"Mizale isn't pompous. And would never call you scum a mighty force."

Ripping the weapon out of the dead elf with a sickening squish, Chrys turned to gather her bearings for an idea of where any of the others could be but was stopped by a lance that crossed her path. Crossing it to make an 'X' was an onyx sword.
"You have some explaining to do young lady," the man with the sword said sternly. Torran, her father. One look at his eyes and those of her mother Herthe, she knew they weren't illusions.
"Let me pass," she demanded evenly while making a motion at the surrounding area, the images around them. "I can't be broken like this, and have already come to terms with these nightmares the Elven Elder is showing me." Always the carefree one, it took a great amount to start eating her insides for a long length of time.
"We know dear," her mother said gently, although her lance was readied for a fight. "We know the entire story. But we cannot break our spirits' imprisonment to his wishes. In order to stay alive, you must defeat us. If you do, we will be able to finally rest."
"Are you able to do that?" Her father added. "Think of it as my final test, for we won't hold back. Pass and you have my blessing."
Chrys nodded, and the battle began.

The waves had consumed Emilio, he was somewhere dark and cold. The wind whipped hard and stung his face like needles. His eyes slwoly opened up again, he was high up in the air. The air felt thin and the wind was meciless, but where was he? He looked about himself for a moment, then noticed a small shrine just to his left. He looked at it for a second, then felt the air drawn out of his lungs. This was the place, this is where Kami tried to kill him. As this thought hit him, he felt the burning at his back. He turned quickly and watched Kami slowly step back as he felt the warm blood slowly run down his back.

He was trembling, but not from the wound. He trembled for seeing the woman he knew to be dead, for he was the one to kill her. He knew this had to fake, this was a trick. It had to be. Emilio called out "Nice try you elven scum, I know the woman before me is nothing more then a fraud."

A voice echoed through the wind, as the air grew warmer. It was not Kami's voice, it was a far more loathsome voice. It was that of Dredick Batou, his father. The atmosphere around him was changing, but where was he going? Something was amiss here. The air was now sweltering, he could feel the sweat starting to roll. Suddenly he heard a burst and cries of pain. He looked to the source and saw a crater at the summit. This was another familar site, this was Dante's Peak. He heard more cries, those of women and children. He looked out and saw the image of himself, a small childs lifeless arm clenched in his hand. The Dredicks voice returned "This is you. The truest you there is."

Emilio felt the strength draining from him as he saw the look of his own fcae in that moment. That shear look of lust and hatred, killing innocent and destroying the lives of these people. Emilio screamed "Bullshit! This isn't me, this is only what you forced me to do!"

"Really, boy? What did I do to force you? I merely told you to go and you went. You were glad to sully your hands."

Emilio looked down to his hands as they were stained with the blood of those people, the voices pleading to him. Asking why he had killed them, why he did it? He had no answer to offer them. He had no reason for what he did. Was he really a monster? Emilio started to scream "NOOO!!! That's not me! It's not! Just leave me alone."

He opend his eyes again and he was gone from the volcano. He was now in this black void. Dredick's voice echoed to him again "Is this what you want, my boy?"

Emilio calmed fora moment, but the feeling of isolation quickly consumed him once again. He looked around and saw no one, but heard the voices of his comrades growing more distant. He called to them, but a reply never came. He looked franticly, but was met by no one. Then Chrys appeared before him "Why did you kill them? You killed so many of my friends and kinsmen on that mountain. Why?"

Emilio felt his heart race again, as he turned as if to run only to be met by the image of Gale "Your just another blood thristy demon, aren't you?"

He turned, then Achilles "You rely on no one, so I will leave you to yourself like you belong."

He turned to see the brothers, Sarin "Can you believe this pathetic little fool." Amer "Why don't you just hurry up and die."

Turned to see Kami "It's time to go Emilio."

Turn to see Grace "Why do you hate me?"

Emilio could feel his mind craking, he couldn't stand it anymore. He went to his knees and saw a pair of feet stop just in front of him. He looked up to follow them to his father standing just in front of him. He smiled down to his distraught son "This is how you belong. Curled at my feet."

In the distance of the shadow he could see the others walking off, leaving him behind. Was this how it was to end? He couldn't find his strength anymore, he couldn't even come to speak in his own defence or even face the images of his friends. And now he was at the mercy of his father, the dark lord Dredick. He felt a burst as the foot of his father came across his face and sent him across the the empty void. His father laughed "How sad. You were once so proud, but once you see what you are you crumble away under guilt. How turly pathetic you have become."

Emilio still couldn't find the words to fight back. His will had been shatterd, he had nothing left to offer. Emilio began to cry "Someone, anyone. Please, help me. PLEASE, HELP ME!!!"

Gale's blade locked between karma's. Sweat was rolling down Gale's body as he felt energy drain with every strike. The two were still equal. They backed away as Gale breathed heavly. They had 2 days left and it seemed so sort. Gale took the time to take off his shirt, letting the sweat travel down his body easier. His inguries had been healed, but they had left scars.
"After all this time... We are still equal." Gale said as he gripped his sword for the next series. Karma laughed as he brushed his hair out of his eyes.
"No Gale....I'm stronger." He thrust his sword into the water as he stared at him. "And I'll show you. Strike me." Gale grinned, no letting this moment slip. He charged and swung with all his might, slicing through his left arm. He pulled out the brakes behind him and turned to see his reaction. It was laughter. There was no blood. Not a single drop. Then the arm made a funny noise as it grew back. He picked up his sword as Gale backed off. Immortal?
"No... I'm dead. You killed me, so how can you kill a deadman?" Gale grind his teethe together. He grew weaker while karma loses no energy. He was in a bad sitution. He wlaked around, the water splashing on every step.
"Do you really like exploding yourself? Done it two times already. Like being immortal?" Gale stared coldly at him. Was he stalling time? What for? He could be a dummy bag and still live.
"If there is no other choice..."
"You made a promise to your demon girlfriend never to explode again....Will oyu keep it?" Gale relaxed alittle, it seemed he was getting under his skin. When Chry told him to promise...He knew he would break it. To save this world.
"What are you getting at?" Kamra smiled at the question. He put away his sword as Gale tensed up.
"I'm make a wager.... Give me your stone and I'll let you have a clear path to the elder...alone of course." Gale gasped, knowing he wasn't lieing. Give up the stone? Then he knew that killing Karma was near then impossible since he was already dead. Then gale knew what he was trying to do. He took off the gem and threw it into the water.
"What are you??!!" Gale roared as he thrust the sword down onto the stone. It glowed as a bright light blew the two away. The light was extremly bright as water waved around it.
"You idiot!!!" Karma roared as it settled down. Gale charged up and sliced through the waist, seperating him into two. The top half fell into the water as Gale went over it.
"Rest in peace." He thrust his sword into the heart of the lost soul. The last smile of Kama before he disappeared. Gale stared at the water, lost in thought. It seemed that Karma was posessed by the elder. It seemed that the elder wanted to be immortal and live after the his spell. Well, there goes Gale's next life. Out of nowhere, a large brown door appeared not far from Gale. It seemed the elder wanted Gale to be his first victim. He could remember what the old woman said in the after-life. Only the Fujin God had a chance. What gave Gale a chance? The water began to wave towards the direction of the door. He laughed, knowing this was it End of the line. End of the world. He decided to leave his shirt as he put away his sword. He stared into the sky, thinking of the others. Too bad he couldn;t see them again. The demon brothers. Giant help in the war against the shaodws and seemed to stick with him thick and thin. Even though he didn't know Grace that much, he felt as though she was one of his closest friends. Emilio.... A demon he hated so much....Now is a close friend he could trust his life with. Achilles, a older brother to him. A friend since birth.
He turned to the door, which was now surrounded by a red aura. Thunder boomed in the area as tears ran down his cheeks. Chrys.... Never met someone such as kind and caring friend....To bad he couldn't live the rest of his life with her. He loved her so much. He took a step, but fell to his knees. He let the tears run down.
"So...this is it....A king that failed everyone to die trying to save a world that is already completly destroyed??!!" He got back up and wipped the tears. Now was not the time to cry. It was time to fight. He opened the door as the darkness took him in.

The walls were gulfed in flames and darkness as it was extremly hot. Lava floated down eblow him as he was standing on a giant block of a old rock. It was a massive rock, maybe the lenth of the great hall of Dredick's tower. A figure stood in the middle of it, staring at the ground. He had long gray hair, wearing a black robe. He rose his head, his black eyes staring at Gale.
This is Fujin's King, Gale.... A voice whispered in his head as Gale walked closer towards him.
The 'End of the world' is almost complete.... Just alittle bit more time.... The human king will be the first to fight and the only one.... The rest will die along with this planet... Gale kept his cool as he pulled out his sword. He was going ot try all his might to stop this from happening....even if that means destroying himself again.
It is time.... For you to die.....
