PWNED
No in betweens about it; This thread is about the shoddy and I mean really Shoddy Television shows. You see; Right now Channel 10 are showing Braniac.... Supposedly Britians answer to Mythbusters but in reality just a Preteens way of getting both explosions and T and A. I swear, It is one of the worst shows I hav eever seen because it is mindless drivel. Before I start Ranting; It is just amazingly bad. So what are your worst shows? Now just remember, Don't flame anyone on their choices if you don't agree with them, OK.
DeadSeraphim
Braniac is horrid. It's like Mythbusters without the finesse. In my opinion, it's British people saying "WE CAN BE MYTHBUSTERS TOO LOL. HAVE SOME TITS." I really cannot stand the show. Though, I must admit, the custard in the pool experiment was very very cool. Not Mythbusters cool, but cool for the poor quality usually exibbited on the show.
Claire
Pretty much anything and everything on Nickolodeon (excluding Nick at Nite) and Disney channel are very degrading and bad. I have two younger sisters who almost live off of the TV, and these horrible little shows are always on. It's not just bad acting, it's also bad writing and a bad idea. Maybe just for me, but I HATE Disney and Nick. I'm beginning to dislike Cartoon Network a lot, too, since they took off Courage the Cowardly Dog and all those great little cartoon cartoons. I don't really watch much TV, anyway, but if they brought back Courage, Ed Edd and Eddy, Dexter's Lab, etc., I might waste some time doing so. Maybe they are still airing and I just don't know it because I gave up with television. Okay, to make a much less broad suggestion: South of Nowhere. It doesn't seem to have a point. It's merely copying off of Degrassi: The Next Generation, only it's set in America. I find it really shallow, as with Instant Star and the newer episodes of Degrassi. For me, there's pretty much two shows worth watching; Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the "off" channel (teehee, bad joke).
kenshinsbabe
Are you kidding? Just about anything on television anymore is shoddy television. Mostly daytime TV though. Jerry Springer, for instance. I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet. Yes, I realize it's past its glory days, but it's still a very high rated and popular show. That, friends, is what frightens me. We're supposed to be moving forward with intelligence, not regressing to our primitive roots. I'm sure if you put a bunch of apes on the Jerry Springer set, they'd be more well behaved than most of the people that appear. One of the shows I hate the most right now is Degrassi. Any form of it. What sucks is that my older sister loves it. It's title should be "Pretty Kids With Problems" (if you caught the reference, good for you. ^-^ ). I realize that people have problems and drama like that, but the chances that you're going to get pregnant, have an inoperable brain tumor, three STDs and be an orphan are pretty slim. And there's my two cents. *clink clink*
Billie_Forever
I refuse to watch TV anymore except a few shows here and there...Its all mindless drivel..i actaully felt my IQ plummet (which isnt that much seeing as my IQ is rather small) when i watch "The New Worst Witch"...It was confusing...abnormal..and i regretted turning on the TV...my brother on the other hand lives off Cartoon Network shows such as CODENAME:KIS NEXT DOOR and that show about the blue blob that is an imaginary friend...*sigh*
