[B]Personality:[/B] Naminé and her team of fire pokemon are a strong force to be beaten. To her, the most important things are her training and dedication to Lavaridge Gym, and caring for her pokemon. She is usually calm and serene unless something or someone irritates her greatly which is when she becomes just like the element her pokemon are. Naminé shows kindness to all and is a friendly person to talk to and get to know, she has no problems with making friends and training would-be gym leaders. Many people have commented that she changes completely when she's in a gym battle. When battling she is as serious as can be and doesn't joke around at all, giving absolutely no mercy, people have said that she seems to have a fiery aura around her which heats up the room for her opponent. Naminé is always gracious in defeat and accepts her loss peacefully as a Gym leader must and can proudly hand over her badge.

[B]History:[/B] Naminé started off as a simple pokémon trainer just like any one else, her very first pokémon was the adorable Torchic, a fire pokémon. With Torchic by her side, she caught different pokemon and raised them carefully so they could reach their greatest potential. She only liked Fire pokémon so that's all she caught. She came across a bit of problem when she had to Surf to other areas, but she took the long way, crossing the land until she arrived at any town that had a boat that could transport her.

Naminé roamed across the whole Hoenn region, collecting fire pokémon, raising them, and fighting gym battles. She chose to fight the leader of Lavaridge Gym last because she wasn't comfortable until then. When she arrived, Flannery was surprised to see her, then smirked, claiming she would be beaten by her [I]younger sister[/I]. As it turns out, Naminé did beat Flannery, and as an agreement made before she set off on her pokemon journey, as soon as she had completed what she wanted she could return and run the gym because Flannery wanted to quit being a Gym leader.

Before picking up her responsibilities, she conquered the Elite Four and the Champion. After that she travelled to the other regions, Kanto and Johto, catching as many fire pokémon as possible, including the legendary bird pokémon, Moltres. When she was [I]finally[/I] finished she returned home to Lavaridge and exchanged duties with her elder sister. Flannery told her everything she needed to know, including where all the badges were, where to request more, and how many pokemon she was allowed.

She's been running the Lavaridge Town Gym for 6 years, fighting battles, training up more pokémon, and working with the pokémon trainers that wanted to be just like her. One day she got a message from the Admin telling her about a tournament for all the Gym leaders to get a spot in the Elite Four, she knew this was her chance to prove herself, how much she had improved, and who had taken over the other gyms since the time she was travelling.

[B]Personality:[/B] Strict with his training regime, Roxas has developed a hard, bitter outer shell around his personality. He puts his training first, and pushes everything else aside. He does have a soft spot for his Pokémon though. He pushes them to their fullest potential and thensome, but afterwards he opens up and shows real affection towards them. Unluckily for wannabe PokéMasters, he is ruthless and none of his softer side ever breaks the straight face he constantly wears while in battle, or at work in his Gym.

[B]History:[/B] Although the Fortree City Gym originally featured Winona as it's Gym Leader, who used Flying-type Pokémon and handed over the Feather Badge to rightful winners, she eventually had to retire, handing the Gym down to the next trainer in her family. That trainer happened to be Roxas, who, at the early age of 18, had become Fortree City's youngest Gym Leader.
It was expected that, like his aunt, Roxas would use Flying Pokémon. To the surprise of the entire Gym-related population of the city, he chose to make the new Gym-type Grass, similar to that of Erika in Kanto. Although he had never met her personally, or seen her in real-life, Roxas had looked up to Erika since he was just starting Training School. He and his family, through their links to the Gyms of the world, had special videos made by each of the Gym Leaders from all regions. Erika's use of some of the most fragrent Pokémon alive had spurred him on to capture his own blossoming beauty, Bulbasaur.
Using his first Pokémon, a Spearow, given to him by his Aunt as a birthday present on his 12th birthday, he easily captured Bulbasaur, Seedot and Shroomish in the forests around Fortree - albeit with Pokéballs from Winona's stash on a family visit to her home.
He had trained in and around his home city for 6 years, travelling as far south as Mauville with his Aunt on her Swellow. She trained him well, assuming that he was taking her training and using it on some amazing birds she hadn't seen for years.
He was intent on becoming the best trainer in Fortree City, but when just about your whole hometown uses Flying Pokémon, it's hard with the Grass-type. He developed a strategy for training in which he pitted his Spearow against his other Pokémon. The style in which he trained seems cruel to some, but in order to raise their staggeringly low resistance to Flying-type attacks, he had to use a drastic technique to train his flowery friends.
Another surprise came to the members of Fortree City's Gym Committee when the first few Pokémon trainers came through on their race to achieve the Feather Badge, which was renamed the Nectar Badge later on to prevent confusion.
Trainers had expected Winona to be using her Skarmory, so they had brought along their strongest Fire-types along with others in order to take down a group of birds.
When these unknowns realised that the Gym had changed, they immediately switched to a Fire/Flying attack, using feathers and flames to take down the new Gym Trainers' Pokémon.
What the Committee and the trainers passing through saw, however, was that once the strong soon-to-be Masters reached Roxas they were stuck at a wall.
His reluctance to had over the new badge was his wish, and as though Jirachi itself had granted it Roxas never used more than two of his Pokémon in a battle of 4. He often changed the Gym's routine, swapping from double-battles to the usual single type, even to special-event battles where the arena shifted and changed during battle. This gave his Pokémon a chance to experience several battle styles, and develop a greater defense. Along with that, they learned how to use their surroundings to help to their advantage.
Once the Fortree Gym Committee realised how strong their new Gym Leader was, he had their full backing. They even started to send invitations to the Petal Gym's Gym Trainers to come and train with Roxas.
Unfortunately, Erika could not leave her post at her Gym, even for a few days. The time it would take to travel between regions was temendous.
Roxas then came up with an idea to attract Erika's attention, to bring her to Fortree. He would start a counter, showing the number of wins he'd had as Gym Leader in a row. As part of a deal he made through e-mail to her, once his counter reached 500, she would come to Fortree City Gym and stay for a week, so the two Grass-Leaders could share their tricks of the trade. In the one and a half years after the deal was made, only 358 wins read on the counter. Less and less trainers came by Fortree each week, then month.
It would take longer to attract her attention than he had intended. Something else would have to be done. Something as drastic as his original training techniques -which he still used.
Then something strange arose.
An e-mail arrived in his Inbox one evening, from an Administrator named Jerry.

Someone can get on his bad side easily, and he can hold a grudge easier, but he is no real threat. Most people like AC because of his outgoing attitude, in which he is constantly trying to out do others and himself.

[b]History:[/b] AC grew up with his single mother and his three sisters. The youngest of them, his father lefted AC's mother shorty before his birth. None of them knew why he did, but he lefted a deep scar on the family. AC never had a father figure as a young child, and his sisters always blamed him for their father leaving. But AC's mother cared for him, and made sure his sisters didn't pick on him while she was around.

AC had always been skilled with machines, and he enjoyed taking things apart and inspecting how they worked. But another thing he enjoyed was Pokemon. This was mainly because his sisters themselves were Pokemon trainiers, and took after their father's small gym when he lefted. He quickly became a trainier to outdo them himself. When the time came, AC defeated them, and they handed over the gym to him to pursue higher goals.

He soon became renowned for his use of Electric-type Pokemon, and many advid fans of Electric Pokemon came to train under him. Though, AC didn't know his hidden ability well, since his true skill was as a mechanic. But his ability as a trainer soon matched his natural talent, and he soon had a name for himself in the Pokemon world, right next to his sisters'.[/color]

Unlike the cold, isolated place that he grew up. Hyouton has a rather bright and outgoing personality. However his mouth is something that can get him into trouble due to the fact that he speaks his mind to anyone he meets. No matter how good or bad. When in a lighter mood he tends to flirt a lot with other people, trying to make himself one with the crowd. At other times he could even just try to stay away from everyone. He tends to be in a lighter mood most of the time though. However, one thing that it is hard for him to decide is when to take things seriously. A lot of battles he takes for fun and toys with his opponent. However some other times he tends to try and just go for the fastest kill. To be able to distinguish between reality is his one greatest flaw above everything else.

[B]History:[/B]
Hyou was born in a town of nothing but ice. All year around the temperature was either cold or colder. The town had no major source of an income for money so a lot of the towns people had to begin their work at a young age. It was a tradition that once someone reach a certain age. They would be given an ice type pokemon and start their contributation to the town. Hyou's partner turned out to be a Spheal as his own.

Then as time went on, Hyou felt that his abilities needed to be able to expand. With a heart full of adventure and of some slight home sickness he left his home to go in search of the greatest ice type gym and to become the master of all ice type pokemon. The one thing he didn?t know of however was where it was located and his search turned out to take about a year and a half. However after a great adventure he was finally able to stumble upon Mahogany Town. It reminded himself so much of his own home. So small and secluded unlike the location of many of the other towns. This one however also had a gym. The exact one he was looking for none the less. After he had flawlessly beaten all of the other trainers inside the gym looking to take on Pryce himself.

However due to his age, Pryce was already in the process of trying to choose a new leader. Not only did they have to be able to bring the gym leader down, but they also had to be able to show Pryce some kind of marvelous thing that was related to ice. Many just wanted to make some kind of an Ice sculpture out of their pokemon's ice beam. However Hyou was different.. There was only one thing that he truly wanted to seek. The nevermeltice, it truly was what it said. Ice that was said to never melt and increase the power of any ice type pokemon. There was however a catch to this, where the ice was said to reside, was inside a cavern inside a mountain where the only weather was an intense blizzard. For the next couple of days, Hyou trained all of his ice pokemon to be able to handle the harsh terrain.

However once he was on the mountain itself, Hyou found that there was no amount of training that could compare with what this blizzard was like. It was as if the forces of nature themselves were screaming out to him. He was caught out in a blizzard that was already worse than what was considered bad on the mountain. It feel like this was going to be his end. To be lost forever in the ice that he loved. Then before he even was able to do anything he had found himself to be saved. It wasn?t by any human though. Once Hyou realized what had saved him he was absolutely shocked and surprised at what had happened. He had been saved by the Legendary bird Articuno. This was a once in a life time experience though. The legends of Articuno saving lost people on snow capped mountains must have been true and not just some tall tails. Yet once he was back on solid ground again. He decided to challenge the Legendary bird to a battle. He did have a slight advantage after all. since it was a flying type he could attack with some of his ice types. The battle was long and grueling. It came down to Hyou's last pokemon. His Spheal which had fully evolved into a Walrein. just by the skin of his teeth he was able to capture the bird.

After a good nights rest, Hyou headed off right for the gym to be able to show his prize. All of the other trainers were in an absolute awe of what he had been able to do. It was as if it was a dream.. and yet when Hyou still took on Pryce without even using Aritcuno and won gracefully. He had finally reached the final step on his stair way to his dream. He had become the new gym leader of Mahogany Town .. Now then the only thing left was for him to defeat all oncoming trainers.

[B]Personality:[/B] [color=#333333]Generally, Daven is a kind young fellow. He lends a hand even when not needed. When it comes to battling he can become fairly cocky, though. He's quite abnoxious while fighting and can be somewhat of a handfull. If Daven respects you, you should be honored.[/COLOR]

[B]History:[/B] [color=#333333]Daven is the half-brother of Morty, a ghost gym leader in another region. He was raised quite a bit aways from him and so, he has not talked to him in person for a few years.

Daven was raised by his [i]real[/i] father and mother, who met after his mother had divorced Morty's father and ran to the Hoenn region. Daven's parents and himself lived quietly in Petalburg City for years until finally, Daven was old enough to become a Pokemon trainer. He traveled to Littleroot Town and recieved his first Pokemon from Professor Birch, an Abra.

Over the years, Daven ventured through Hoenn and got the first 8 Gym Badges of that region. When he came back to Petalburg City, he found out Norman would soon be retiring and was taking applications for a new Gym Leader. Daven sent in his application, had an interview with Norman and the Pokemon League and was eventually named the Gym Leader of Petalburg City.[/COLOR]

[LEFT]Personality: Shi is a dark character outwardly, but to those who know her, she is a very kind and compassionate person. She does work her Pokemon hard, but, after they've reached their quota, she takes them and nutures them for hours, playing and just loving them. In battle, her darker side comes out, showing no mercy towards other trainers, but always has compassion towards their Pokemon.

History: Shi is Sabrina's closest childhood friend. She and Sabrina trained together daily, and when Sabrina decided to travel the world, she left her beloved gym in Shi's hands. She decided to change the gym around, having it Darkness-baised. She is a ruthless battler, but always stops before the foe Pokemon is serously harmed. This compassion has cost her a few battles, but in spite of this, her reputation is spreading rapidly. One day, after training, a particular parcel arrived in her mail. It was her invitation from one Administer Jerry. She was to partake in the famous Gym Leader Challange.[/LEFT]

[b]Personality[/b]: Kay is a spunky, care free girl who is hardly ever put down. She has alot of confidence in herself and her pokemon, but she isn't cocky like some would think. She relies on her pokemon and they rely on her. They are like flesh and blood to each other and nothing can tear them apart. Kay has a bit of a temper when it comes to certain people, but she usually can get along with everyone. During her battles she is little bit more serious, but she can never get a smile off of her face. She's always looking on the bright side of things and is really good at cheering people and pokemon up. She respects people (unless they're a jerk) and isn't a sore loser or a gloating winner.

[b]History[/b]: When Kay was just an infant she was left on the porch of the orphanage in Vermillion City. She was a terrible toddler when growing up in the orphanage. She was always sneaking off and hiding from the people who helped out at the orphanage. When she was four Kay managed to actually leave the orphanage and started wondering around the city by herself. Luckily she ran into Lt. Surge, the Vermillion City gym leader who entertained her and safely returned her to the orphanage. Surge grew attached to the little scamp and adopted her as his own.

After becoming Surge?s adopted kid, Kay fell in love with electric pokemon. She was always at the gym playing with her father?s Raichu and watching battles. She was given an Eevee and thunder stone when she started her pokemon journey. Surge warned her though to not use the thunder stone until Eevee had learned many different techniques. He also said he made that mistake with his Raichu. So, Kay set out and traveled all over the country to catch pokemon and win badges. She even defeated Surge eventually (though she thinks he let her win) and after she fought in a few leagues she desided to head home to take position as gym leader (At age 17) so Surge could take a break for a while.

Kay loves her position as gym leader and enjoys teaching other trainers who have electric pokemon how to battle and care for them properly. Kay hopes on entering the Gym Leader challenge and maybe winning the prize of joining the Elite Four.

Age: 17 (a Leap-Year baby, frequently jokes about being 4)

Gender: F (was tempted to actually put "hermaphrodite", but decided against)

Appearance: Anybody got a sprite that looks like a bag lady?

Personality: She's insane, but she knows it and tries her best to make herself tolerable.

History: Maiya finally graduated from high school and decided to work with Pokemon at the same time as pursuing her college degree. Now, Pokemon has taken precedence over college, but she's often seen pulling a laptop out of her bag to do homework/schoolwork/tests in the midst of a battle. Since she's majoring in engineering, she's very good at split-second problem-solving, a valuable skill in battle. She also enjoys knitting and wears a lot of handmade accessories. Her parents aren't sure whether to be proud of her for doing so well or upset that she's not focusing on her college studies.

Pokémon Type: "Intimidating" The only thing Maiya's Pokemon have in common is a very ferocious appearance.

Tyra, a Tyranitar. Tyra was one of the last members to join Maiya's team, caught as a Larvitar and raised between classes. (F)
Whirlpool, a Gyarados. Whirlpool was originally a Magikarp in a pet store, when Maiya herself was starting her "journey". He's now the mascot for Maiya's Computer Engineering class and her Amateur Hackers' club. (M)
Sunshine, an Aerodactyl. Maiya got a newly-hatched Aerodactyl fledgling in a trade and raised her alongside Tyra. There's no better way to arrive late to class than on a ferocious prehistoric Pokemon. (F)
