fire_fly52
I have finished a lot of games and found some so wounderful and then there are the games that just want to cry you wasted so much time. so here are my two:
Paper mario thousand year door. for this reason at the end of the game mario is sitting in his house and she sends him a note saying she found another treasure map and wanted him to investigate. No thanks for saving me or even a kissthat made me so mad i tought he would at lest get something.

the best game ending would have to be a game i have never personaly played Final fantasy X-2 the reason is i have watched all the cenamas and at the end they were together it made me so happy and it was just so wounderful to see.
Edited in spoiler tags. - Shinmaru
2010DigitalBoy
*Awaits mods with spoiler instructions* Anyway, my favorite game ending was probably... God of War.
Kratos sits back in his golden chair, places his chin on his fist and just sits there looking totally bad-*** as the future unfolds.
That or Zone of the Enders the Second Runner in which
the main charachter is wheeled off for medical attention and the girl comes along to live happily ever after and Leo is reunited with ADA. I like endings like this which don't try to be all crazy, but just wrap up the story in a way that ends it well.
The worst would have to Zelda the Minish Cap, not that it was bad, but it was ruined because of some very stupid family issues which didn't even matter and were fully unjustified. I ought to kick all of their ***** for that one...
Judgement
One of the worst endings to me was the ending to Halo 2.
That cliffhanger really ticked me off. I played the whole game on Legendary and felt like I got nothing done in the end( beating Tarturas felt like nothing after seeing the ending.) It looked stupid to me because I waited for it to come out so I could finish the series( it is still an awesome game :D.) It rocks but it sucks that I have to wait for Halo 3 now.
:animeangr Edited in spoiler tags. - Shinmaru

PWNED
Worst gaming ending; hmmmm Halo 2. It just really felt half-arsed and bog standard. Best Ending is a different story however; I loved the endings of Suikodens 1 and 2 because of the pure emotion conveyed
when Riou duels with Jowy at Tenzan Pass and Jowy begs Riou to kill him so that The Black Sword rune will leave him.
It's sad because
These two friends were forced onto opposing sides because the Rune of Beginning forced them to. Random
Alright...I've played my share of a hell of a lot of games, but the one with the worst ending totally has to be Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Alright, this game was totally awesome, considering the way you can control time and **** like that. But, the ending was what ruined the whole experience for me. Why did it have to end like that? He falls in love with the chick, proves his love for her, and then has it all taken away...totally uneventful, but it gets browny-points for going against the norm, and having the main character loose everything.
I'll edit/post the game with the best ending later on...too many to choose from, so I have to make up my mind. John
I don't know what I'd say was the best game ending I've ever seen, but I sure as heck know the worst: Chrono Trigger. And you know why? Because I play the game, off and on, for months, and then,
right as I'm about to fight Lavos, the ROM I was using sploded, and I haven't since had the emotional stability to start over again
. So yeah, definitely the worst ending in history.
Ikillion
Although I hate to admit it, since it is on of my favorite game series. However I think one of the worst endings I have ever played has to be Ratchet Deadlock.
I mean right after I had finished beating that game which already felt like it was short enough. However it felt like the final boss was just a little bit to easy to beat. I even replayed the final boss with my weakest weapons and I still got the same result every time. Just a game that was to easy to beat.
I dont know why but for some reason I also hoped that Jak 3 had a slightly better ending. I just felt like I needed more from it once it ended.
WW2
I have to say that one of the best endings I've seen was in ICO.
After killing the queen with his big, glowy sword and having his horns broken off, the main character is trapped as the castle begins falling down on top of him. Then, after doing nothing throughout the entire, Yorda actually makes herself useful and saves ICO....but stays behind as the castle falls.
Sure it sounds sad, but what makes it really good is
when ICO reaches the beach, he discovers Yorda has washed up there, safe and sound. And they lived happily ever after!!!
Heh, I know...its a bit mushy, but I'm a softy at heart. Plus the cinematic feel of the entire game really makes it heartwarming. The same can be said for Shadow of the Colossus, which also had a great, heartfelt ending. And
every lived happily in that one too. Even the horse! Sure Wander might have been reduced to an infantile state, but it all worked well together.
But then again.....thats just my opinion. Charles
Best Game Ending: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater I've never witnessed a better ending to a video game; it is concrete proof that video games can evoke just as much emotion as a film. Everything from the music to the visuals was just perfect. Kojima is a genius and everyone should experience this game. Worst Game Ending: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver No spoiler tags necessary because there basically wasn't an ending. I thought this game was a fantastic way to cap off the Playstation's life-cycle. Some of the puzzles were questionable but the concept of switching between worlds was engrossing, the story was fantastically written and acted, and the game was a fine accomplishment but if that could have included an ending it would have been great. Thanks. [/end thread]
DNAngel360
i didnt like the ending for FFX-2 because
in the end yuna, riku, pain are together yeah but where is tidus she just starts the story all together it was a big dissapointment the whole time i was playing the game i was always imaginning how tidus's and yuna's reunion would be like and they ended the game with the question where is tidus still in our heads
I liked and hated the ending for kh because
the graphics were good and it left room for a follow up game but i :animecry: soo much at the ending because it was sad that riku, sora, and kiari were seperated and their final words to each other before they seperated oh and when kiari started to cry i cryed even more :animecry:
Fixed the spoiler tags. - Desbreko

I'd have to say the least satisfying endings that I've recently experienced were on Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Don't get me wrong, the games are fantastic and memorable but the endings didn't match the journey to them, you know? It was kind of a let down.

2010DigitalBoy
MY bro says the eding of Baten Kaitos was sucky. It was kind of a crappy ending because you find out all this stuff that is really stupid and makes the story less cool, then
then one of the badguys who you killed a while ago suddenly emerges from the ground as this giant stupid looking head thing and you have to fight it in a totally retarded and way easy battle, and in the end, *** you get is this sucky half-*** cutscene where the wale jumps out of the water looking like a huge brick.
His favorite was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
because the final boss was awesome and the story gives a good amount of closure, being kind of sad because Shadow died, but happy because the world was saved. It was well scripted, except when Tails says "we all did it together!" at random.
Riku
I don't know if I've ever come across a bad ending because I like all the endings to my games, but I think that the most suckiest one has got to be in FF VII when
everyone went on the airship and saw that Meteor was coming and they didn't destroy it in time to stop it, so they realized that they were all going to die. But then, this green aura comes out from the earth and tries to stop it, seeing Aeris smiling at the end. And then... it ended.
Needless to say, I was very appaled at the way it ended. I was like, "What happened?! Gah!!" But, I guess that's what FFVII Advent Children is for, huh? The most best ending to me was Kingdom Hearts. That sucker made me cry the whole time I was watching it.
When you could see Sora fading away in the distance and stars falling from the sky. The Destiny Islands coming and growing back together, Kairi smiling at the sky where she last saw Sora. When Kairi walked into the Cave and saw the drawing of her and Sora, the passing memory of the goofy smiled Sora, Kairi laughing and crying at what he had done and drawing herself giving him a paopu fruit.
That indeed made me cry a lot because it was so cute. Of course, the thing that made me cry was
right after you beat Ansem, Sora closes the door with Riku in it and Riku says, "Take care of her, Sora..."
That definitely made my eyes flood with tears. Kingdom Hearts is probably the only game that is very close to my heart. The ending credits were nice, too. n.n

Guest AnimeRules15421
I was disappointed with the ending for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The gameplay was good, so was the art work but the ending was Nani! Shimatta Nani! In the Wakatta but Masaka! way.
Kenshin DX
^^ All right I didnt understand half your post but MGS3 would have to be one of the greatest endings of all time. It was very powerful and very sad.All in all I didnt find it dissapointing at all.
BlueYoshi
Yeah, MGS3 had a brilliant ending. I think the problem is that some people don't appreciate the MGS games from a narrative point of view, even though the game has amazing gameplay at the same time. I mean, the games have history dating back to the NES, and each new game makes references to each of the older games in some way or another, such as the development of Big Boss' story from the first Metal Gear, and from tidbits throughout MGS1 and 2. I think it would be interesting to see what kind of an ending people would have preferred to see in MGS3.
Kenshin DX
The Warriors movie/game had a great ending to it. I loved" In the City "playing as the end credits roll and the Warriors finally walk home.
Flame_Alchemist
Ok like most people here I have played and finished quite a lot of games but when I think of the worst game ending I have seen, I instantly think of Lord of the Rings: The Third Age.
I went through that game wanting story, I mean that?s what every RPG fan wants. I got none of that and when I finally finished the game I was treated to one of the worst endings I have ever seen, it was basically Gandalf saying ?Thanks for that, couldn?t have done it without you?honest!?. I swear I was so let down by that ending I made my own one up, it involved Gollum and Gandalf playing Chess in a stealth jet.
I can?t really think of my favourite ending, there are quite a few but I agree with a lot of people that Kingdom Hearts had a nice ending.
The song really went well with the visuals of the ending which had some pretty cool graphics. The part when Kiari is drifting from Sora was pretty powerful and sad, and then when Sora, Donald and Goofy are running down that path it?s happy. So everyone?s a winner with this ending, I mean it has sad parts and happy parts.
