Ezekiel
You know, that kind of cheesy humour is enough to make my brain hurt. However! I really like the graphic. I like the swirl in the background as it's a subtle little addition to your, ahem, 'screwing action' slogan. (Oh my!) Also, the colours are really nicely chosen. Two things I'm not keen on: 1) The screw is a bad quality imagine and I'm sure you could have found a better one. Also, the edges are a little bitty and I think a nice smooth down would have made it look better. 2) The text you used for 'Nail' doesn't seem that fitting. I know it's the style that would be used for cowboy type things and that's the only thing I can think when I see that style. I can't, however, think of a better alternative and it's probably me just being [STRIKE]mean[/STRIKE] picky. And your comment on my dA? So inspired me to do a little three panel comic. <
Ellerby
Actually that was the best picture of a nail I could find. There were others but they didn't have white backgrounds and I was feeling lazy. :( As for the NAIL font... I did that on purpose. Yup, I was making fun of how ads... always have... bad fonts. >.> <.< >.> I couldn't find a better font in my FONTs folder! ;-;
Nomura
Screwing action... What's the use of the nail with out something to make it spin? :animesmil LOL, I like this pic. The nail does seem...Weird, and the swrils in the background are a little rough around the edges, but most of the work I've seen in here is pretty good.Good, while still staying your own style, without making it bad. Heh, wow, what a sentence!
Riku
Where can I buy my very own nail?? XD I'd like to say that Zeke hit the "Nail" (pun IS intended. XD) on the head about the picture... it looks kind of fuzzy.. but I accept your excuse. n.n The font for NAIL doesn't really add to the whole thing, but it looks really good. The only thing that I'm having a teeny problem with is: the swirl in the background. It's good and all, but it seems kind of... rough and angle..y... you know? I mean, I can't really explain it, but... something bugs me. >.>; But all in all, I'd say that it's pretty awesome. Seriously... where can I get one? And oh yes... about your "new" shirt in your campaigning ad... Oh Em Gee!! 1 t0tta77y l0v3 j00r n3w s41rt!! My own l33t language... Ellerby
Hehe, fanks. :3 This next one is the original image I was going to use for the GFX Battle between Retri and I (see the one I chose here). It's not that I chose this one over the other one, it's that I had forgotten I made this one the day of the challenge. So, I ended up making and posting the new one. (I just know Retri will comment on that. >.>)
Nomura
Wow...this one good too....you would've got my vote either way, heh. :animesmil I like the tape sorta shadow thingies on the angles. And the dude's siluohette... :animesmil No offense, but I don't think you're very good at fonting. For some strange reason, I don't like any of 'em. Heh, I have a certain style for a certain style of pic. LOL, even so, you're still good enough to do. ( Can't believe actually wrote that sick joke.) :animeswea Anywho, post more, they're not getting old yet.
Ellerby
In celebration of my getting Photoshop CS2 back, and becoming addicted to the Naruto Manga (currently halfway through volume 6), I made a new graphic! It features Haku from Naruto. boothten
Nicely done, White. There are a few things that are kind of screwed up though. Near the top of her hair, for instance, there are points and things of the like that just seem too jagged. I'd also like you to note that there is still some JPG noise on her hair, which is a tad bit annoying. I don't know if it's just my computer, but yeah. I like the font outline you used, very.. fitting? Ha, sure is. :D I love the stocks you used though. Once again, fantastic job. =]
Riku
Just so you know, Lan-kun... Haku's a guy. =3--- Yeah... It took me awhile to get that through my head, too. Anyways... Ah, yes... Haku-chan's wonderful bishiness... oh how I luff thee. XD Anywho, very nicely done, White. The scanlines were indeed a very nice touch. The font you used for the text is very sexy at best, but it just seems so white. Maybe add another touch or two to the font colour? As for the stocks, I agree with what Lan said for being great. And I also agree that I see some things messed a little with his hair. Although it might be part of the picture, but I just thought I should point it out again. And as for the coloured part of Haku, it, too, seems so bland... as if you didn't really do anything to it. Maybe hype up the Hue/Saturation a bit? Or add some colour balance? Anyways, very lovely. I expeect to see more Haku pieces soon. >:
Ellerby
Heh, thanks guys. I wasn't really sure how to go about the little points on Haku's hair so I just left it. I'll just ask Retri or Kitty sometime. Anyway, recently I have been obsessed with the game Kingdom Hearts II. If you've played it before, you'll know what my next piece is, otherwise you won't really understand it. Timeless River is one of the worlds you visit in Kingdom Hearts II. It's based off the old Mickey Mouse cartoons (specifically 1928's Steamboat Willie) and therefore is a black and white world with old-style characters. So, yeah. I made a wallpaper of it because it's my favourite world in the game. :whoops: And there you have it! Comments please. Don't bother commenting on the empty space, though. I like my desktop backgrounds fairly simple so they don't distract me from my icons. :p --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since nobody posted about the wallpaper, I'll just add my new artwork. This is an image for my portfolio. Whaddya think? :)
Ezekiel
Because we're all fwiends, I think I should give a fellow artist a boost (please dear god do the same for me, I want to post in my thread ><). I really like the wallpaper, because it's so simple. I'm always drawn to wallpapers with blank space that I can put my icons on, so I don't have to block up whatever pretty stock has been used. Everything you've put on the wallpaper blends well, and it looks very professional and 'finished'. I like your Graphic Design piece, though I'm not too keen on the position of the palm tree. I think it should either be further below the border (so we don't see that little bit of rounding off at the trunk) or totally away from the border, so the whole base can be seen. Apart from that, I love the piece. You really do know how to work with greens. I won't comment on the Haku one, except for OMG HAKU YEEEEEY~! because he's my favourite character and I adore him (our birthdays are the same, too!). Well done, honey, now you can carry on updating. PS: Isn't 'Honey' so much better than being called 'honky'? =p
Ellerby
Honey is much appreciated, Zeke. Anyway, this next piece is more of an advertisement than a piece of art. But I like it a lot anyways so I've decided to post it (it can be found here). I realize that the top left character is all pixely around the edges. Any ideas on how to fix that? ++++++++++++++ Oooh, yes. I love this new pattern sakurasuka taught me how to use. It's freaking sweet. sakurasuka
Muahaha, teh checker-pixel-ness rules over all >: ) *Ahem* White, your newest piece is downright purtyful. I love it how the majority of your pieces are made with a creative comedic [Don't think that's a word. Meh. Moving on.] feel, it's nice and unique. How could you look at a piece that says 'OMG!1!! BANG, I got you!' and not smile. And the color scheme is, as always, lovely. Oh, and as for the advertisment thingie, you could always vector the pixelated guy. If you have the patience/still need to. [:
