LeGuin's Earthsea books. Nekova
I read the books about five years ago, and remember loving them even though I only vaguely remember the plot. I'll have to pick them up again so I can refresh my memories in the near future. I don't know how closely it will follow the books though. If the director is anything like his father, the similarities will end with the names (and it won't necissarily be a bad thing).

Sojio
Hello Hello Hello. :animesmil I've heard alot about this upcoming Studio Ghibli Film from many sources. If anyone has heard anything about this movie share it around. Personally I've read the Earthsea Quartet and I'll say it was one of the best series of books I'be read in a long time. Gedo Senki was offered to Hayao Miyazaki and his son Goro by Ursula K le Guin. At the time, however, Hayao Miyazaki was tied up working on Hauru no ugoku shiro ( Howl's Moving Castle) , and could not come on board at the right time. Not wanting to miss his opportunity Goro Miyazaki took upon himself the task of Directing Gedo Senki which is to be released this year I believe. :D
Par-Fait
I'm a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan and sort of a fan of Ursula K. LeGuin, so I can't wait for this movie to come out. It'll be interesting seeing Goro's take on it instead of his dad's. But Goro seems to have a really good understanding of Earthsea, and I think after studying his dad's films his entire life he'll make another Ghibli masterpiece. Despite his dad's little to no confidence in his son. >_<'

Touchstone
Oh my God, that's so incredibly exciting! I remember reading those books a few years ago, and I just completely fell in love with them. Her unique take on wizardry and magic is one of my favorites. And the characters are great! Some parts almost made me cry, especially in the third book. I can't wait till it comes out in July :D
aoi_hikari
Saw the trailer. It looks really good! I've heard good things about the books, so I'm going to start reading. I'm trying to find A Wizard From Earthsea, the first book, I accidentally took out Tales From Earthsea from the library....because that was the title of the movie... :animeswea
