I just got into Anime a little while ago and i was wondering if any of you could give me some recamendations or tell me where some good sites are. Anything would be of help. Sayuri-sama Posted January 16, 2006 Share Posted January 16, 2006 well i highly recommened anything by CLAMP. also inuyasha is good for starters, DNAngel, Galaxy ANgels and so on. fruits basket (more commonly called furuba) is really popular with both the girls and the guys! If you haven't seen any already, I recommend seeing at least one of the Miyazaki movies. They're all amazing. Plus Miyazaki directed one of the Lupin movies (The Castle of Cagliostro), which also happens to be one of my favorites. Really I can only really give you recommendations if you tell me what genres you're interested in. If you want action, I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop. If you want comedy, I'd recommend Azumanga Daioh. If you want fantasy, Fullmetal Alchemist. Horror, Paranoia Agent. Historical fiction, Rouroni Kenshin. Romance, Voices of a Distant Star. Mecha, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Wierdness, FLCL. If you're into action, comedy, romance and drama, then you should watch [b]Fushigi Yugi[/b] or [b]InuYasha[/b]. (If you watch them both, I bet you'll be able to catch some similarities.) Another good one is [b]DNAngel[/b], a fantasy with a romantic twist in the modern era. DNAngel is one of my favorites. If you're into the psychotic thing, [b]Paranoia Agent[/b] is a really good one, and one of the episodes, [b]Happy Family Planning[/b], or something like that is actually rather hysterical...! Some other good animes are: [b]Neon Genesis Evangelion[/b], it had a seriously disturbing effect on me, [b]Samurai Champloo[/b], if you like the swordship type of thing, [b]Prince of Tennis[/b], very funny and if you like tennis then it'd make more sense most likely, too! A lot of anime is played on the channel [b]Cartoon Network[/b]. Around 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, they have some anime, but it is the editted versions usually. Kenshin DX Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 I highly recomend Samurai X Turst and Betrayal. It has the best animation Ive ever seen, a great story, and insane action.
