DBZgirl88
Have you ever encountered a strange coincidence? Here's mine: When I was in in grade 7 and 8, I had a really nice jewish friend. In grade 7, we had a talent show and she played a nice little flute tune. We graduated from grade 8 and went our seperate ways, to different highschools and different universities. I haven't seen her in six years. Yesterday while I was in the muslim prayer room in my university. Somebody's cell phone started ringing. The ring-tune was the same tune my friend played in the talent show. Later that day, I bumped into her at a comedy show. Weird. It's as though the cell phone was a sign....
2010DigitalBoy
About a year ago, there was a strange occurence that lasted about 3 months. Every single day I experienced a different strange coincidence. Just two days ago, during the golden globes, the strangest thing happened... First, it was when I was when I was upstairs on OB, and someone said "even Ray Charles could see" bla bla bla. About 5 minutes later, I heard the name Ray Charles on TV. Later on, I went downstairs and sat on the couch with my parents. There was a commercial break and my dad said something about a charachter from one of the commercials asking "is he related to Tim Robins?" At that EXACT second, Time Robins comes out oon stage! My parents were tripping out over how weird that was. I said "yeah, when I was upstairs I read the name Ray Chrales and then heard his name. I mean, how often do you hear Ray Charles's name tossed around?" And no more than 5 seconds later, Jamie Fox comes walking onstage!!!!! So then, I'm going to bed later on when my mom comes upstair saying "OMG ------- get this! I was watching the golden globes and they gave a lifetime achievement award to the guy who played Hannible Lecter and they showed a clip of him saying 'I had his liver with a side of chianti!'" Well, as it would turn out, at work that day (my mom is a manager at Spencers) they had been picking nametamgs which had names of wines. My mom had picked Chianti and said 'I had his liver with a side of Chianti'! Isn't that crazy??? 3 in one night!
Panda
Usually for me they are really little things. Like hearing a certain word, one that doesn't normally come up in everyday conversation will pop up several times in one day. For instance the other day the word "dubious" seemed to pop up several times in one day. It actually seemed a bit, well, dubious. Now my hubby has this knack for having a song stuck in his head and when he turns the radio on it will be playing. It's happened on more than one occassion. One time we were driving to the grocery store and he mentioned that Len's "Steal My Sunshine" was stuck in his head. About 5 minutes after we entered the store the song came over the speakers. Just plain weird.
2010DigitalBoy
Dude, I just had 2 more! Okay, I was listening to the radio, right? And I was skimming through one of my poetry books trying to pick out which ones Iliked so I could trash the others. As I'm doing this, an old Nine Inch Nails song was being played as part of Nine Inch Nails day. At the very exact second that Trent Reznor says 'sinking into me' I read those words i one of my poems!!! Then, only a few minutes ago, something similar happened while listening to the Mars Volta. I typed in a line (I can't remember what it was) and about 2 seconds later, the same line comes up!
Claire
I'm not sure if this is really a coincidence, but almost every time I go to the eye doctor this one song ALWAYS plays on the radio. The same station is always on, and no matter what day or hour I go and when the last time I went was, the song comes on. It's kind of annoying. However, there was this one night in which I was on the computer at a rather late hour, as were a bunch of my friends. I was talking about a scary picture that is kind of popular on the internet with a friend when my phone received a picture message. I was kind of hesitant to open it, because I just KNEW it would be the scary picture. AND IT WAS. I spazzed out, then sent the friend who sent it to me (who wasn't the one I was talking about it with) a very angry/paranoid looking picture of me. xP;; Then another friend sent me the same picture a few days later, but just because I told him not to. visualkei
There are a lot of coincidences, and it's the little ones that are funny. In a summer college class about understanding ESL speakers, I was sitting together with a friend and some girls discussing about what we ever learned from elementary English. Then I said that the one thing that really stuck with me was the word, "schwa." Okay, I don't know how it's spelled. I explained to everyone that it was symbolized by the upside down "e" and made the "uh" sound. The lecture started, and it so happened that we were to discuss grammar that day. In the middle of it, the teacher began talking about "schwa," so everyone in my group started giving me the elbow. Then we divided into groups to talk about a variety of subjects related to speaking English. Later a group made a presentation that spent a good time discussing "schwa." The girls around me turned and joked "dude, today is your lucky day." =P Kinda lame, but funny at the moment.
Kanariya
Ever since I learned what 69 meant, that number has been appearing everywhere. It's almost making me insane. Besides that, I have many strange coincidences, but I don't remember most of them. The other day, my friend and I were talking about weird things, and somehow flying buses got in the conversation. I screamed, 'flying buses', and pointed to the sky, and when I looked up, there was an airplane. So, I was like 'Hey, something's flying', and...yeah. They're not the same, but you get my point. Two, my friend and I were talking about Michael Jackson on the bus, and I made the 'hee hee' sound, and immediately afterwards on the radio it said something about the 'hee hee' sound and they played it. Lastly, my friend and I were on the bus (yet again), and someone got into a fight. And being stupid kids, the guys on her bus started screaming 'Jerry! Jerry!' And then one went 'Oprah! Oprah'. I said, 'What's next, Judge Judy?' And then the kid screamed 'Judge Judy!'. Now, when I said that, it was quiet, so I have no idea how he could hear with lots of other people on the bus screaming at the top of their lungs, but it was strange.

Frankie
Well the song stuck in head thing is kinda what i went through the other day. But first ill say one that happend little over a year ago. I was in my room playing the sims and suddenly i kept singing amazing grace and couldnt... I couldnt figure out why, i never liked that song. Anyways once i was able to quit i went out into the kitchen and three minutes later that very song comes up on tv. I was like "wiiiieeerrrrd" And just last week I wanted to hear a certain song once because i was depressed and it fit (Beautiful by james blunt) Anyways It came on the internet radio and i was like "yay" Unfortunatly for the next three days on regular radio they wouldnt stop playing it. Over and over again it would pop up, with not even an HOUR between them. By the end of those days i was utterlydepressed and so tired of the song i wished i hadnt wished to hear it in the first place. Aside from that i get those wierd things all the time most i just shrug off though. I am so used to it. EDIT: I also seem to know what my friends will say when we chat. For example i was explaining something to a guy friend and he said something and i was like "You didnt get it" he didnt get my point... I KNEW he was going to say "yes i did" and he did...exactly liek i said he was going to. I do that all the time even with people i dont know and conversationsthat are less predictable. celestialcharm
I was talking about the Karaoke Revolution Party game with my sister, and then 'American Women,' which is a song you could sing to in the game, came on the radio... Then later on in the day, I was mocking how the sims dance in the game and 'American Women' came on again!
KatanaViolet
I went on to a board that I hadn't visited in a long time, and on my second day back I got ripped apart by a couple people. Sooo now I look like a loser, and I feel even worse. I dunno if that's coincidential, but there's my two cents. :animedepr
