Fyxe
I had recently picked up the first All New Tenchi Muyo. I thought it was very good. It got quite a few laughs out of me. My favorite little "chapter" was probably the one when Ryoko was trying to get a job. :blulaugh: Lol. That one was good. They are still doing well with the Tenchi series I think. Since I had loved every series I had to pick that up. I know there is more out now, I just don't have money at the time. Why am I kidding myself? I never have money!!! :bawl: Anyway... what do you think about it? Please be descriptive! I love to hear what other people think!^_^
DeathBug
My fave chapter was when Mihoshi and Ryoko got into that fight, followed by Washu's security system. The art is very good, and the stories have that carefree feel that the original Tenchi series had. I love this manga. I also have volume two, which introduces new characters ands evil bunnies. ^___^
Orcus
I can't believe they made another Tenchi Muyo:therock:  I think that's rad though. I watch, and read, Tenchi Muyo all the time. I'm probably gonna read it eventually:D :toothy: :D
immortALdeath
I'm only on the first series of Tenchi, mainly because there is no Anime where I am and I don't have the money to buy any. But still, from what I've seen Tenchi Muyo kicks ***.

Zen
I had no idea the new Tenchi had come out. Maybe if were all lucky, and for those without money, they will play it on Adult Swim and take Reign off.

I'm not even sure they will be making it into anime, but I hope they do and then they could put it on Adult Swim. That would save me money. So far I only have the first manga, but when I visit my dad, I hope to buy the next few.
Cahoots34
Hm, I'm a bit skeptical. With about 4 series, 1 spinoff, and a plethora of movies to the Tenchi franchise, it's a bit questionable as to how far a series can expand without imploding. I'd much rather remeber the Tenchi series fondly as the slapstick sideshow that first hooked me onto anime, not a contrived, lamed excuse for a plot (and profit) continuation. What makes this new strain of Tenchi legend different from the countless others? That's what the true test will be.
Guest Inuyasha7575
I hope they do put Tenchi on Adult Swim im getting very tired of seeing Reign and Blue Gender on their.
shadowfire
Well I haven't read the new Tenchi manga's yet, can't find'em but I have seen a glimpse of the new Tenchi Muyo OVA 3 at tenchizone.com. Tenchi Muyo/Tenchi Universe is my favorite series and I can't wait until they release OVA 3 over here, which will probably be a while. Tenchi was my first anime and was got me hooked so I really need to hunt me down the new manga's to try to complete the Tenchi collection.

That show originaly aired in 1992 in Japan. The anime was a spin off from the Code Name Wa Sailor V manga writen by Naoko Takeuchi who saw the success of this manga and decided to expand it to SailorMoon. This show had five seasons. The first halves of two of the seasons were created by the people at TOEI animation so the manga could get ahead of the anime. The anime ended in 1997 (if I got that wrong let me know) with Sailor Stars. Within that time frame and still today there are live shows. Infact, a new live action TV show was just released in Japan back in September. Many people still watch the anime and read the manga, this brought a comeback. So who's to say that the Tenchi Muyo writers didn't see this and think they could do more? As for the manga, I haven't seen it yet (must go to Empire comics soon!), but if the No Need For Tenchi Manga was any indication, I know a soldier who's getting that in his care package. I loved Tenchi, I've seen all 3 movies and try really hard to watch whatever anime I have.

Queen Asuka
Welcome to the OtakuBoards! First things first, please clean up your post quality. Punctuation and grammar are your friends! As for Tenchi, I'm a big fan. I have a nice wallscroll hanging up in my bedroom of Lady Tokemei, Washu, and Tsunami, the latter two being my favorite characters. I was actually Pro-Ayeka and Anti-Ryoko, but I guess that's just me.
DeathBug
Tenchi muyo is one of my favorite series ever. ^__^ I really like all of the characters, except for Tenchi, oddly enough. I read the manga and am waiting for the propsed new episodes I've read about. I think Tenchi should end up with Ayeka, mostly because I think Ryoo deserves someone better. Myself, I'd date Mihoshi. Death's Rose
I also think that Ryoko deseves someone better than Tenchi. :) Glad i'm not the only who thinks that. I love this show. I like Washu, Ryoko, and Kagato. Even if he is only in the first series.
duorocks17
I liked Tenchi Muyo the best out of all the tenchi series. I think that this series had more depth than the other ones, I mean it wasn't as long, it made sense, and it did a good job introducing the characters. Maybe i just like the story line as a whole a lot better than the other series. I absolutely hated Tenchi in Tokyo. (sp?) To me it wasn't as well draw as the other series where. I really can't put into words why I liked Muyo better than the others. I loved how Kagato played the organ, maybe that's what appeals to me, since I play it too. It was fun to see Tenchi realize his powers. I thought that the second one seemed to drawn on for too long. But one thing I liked about the second one, is that you got to see more character development.
Kanariya
Ah, I loved the Tenchi Muyo series. Of course, I learned it from Cartoon Network, and I watched it of how long it had stayed on air. Tenchi Muyo will always be one of my favorite series. I loved Ryoko, she was such an interesting character. I would post more, but from my memory, I can make nothing of it.
Dagger
I haven't seen any of the Tenchi series in ages. Like most of you, I watched them on Cartoon Network, and can't really remember much beyond the fact that I really loved Ryoko. She was the first truly cool female character I ever encountered, and to this day I enjoy participating in the occasional Ryoko vs. Ayeka debate. Since I remember Tenchi Universe better than Tenchi Muyo or Tenchi in Tokyo, I'll avoid talking about those two shows (at least for the moment). My favorite Universe episode was the one in which Ryoko and Ayeka described their first childhood meeting to a somewhat skeptical Tenchi--seeing their different versions of the story was simply hilarious. However, I disliked the fact that the series just didn't have an ending (it was also utterly lacking in romantic closure, which annoyed me). I suspect that my rather visceral dislike of Ayeka might vanish if I chose to re-watch Muyo or Universe, but until I gain access to them, I'll have to be content with despising her. ;P ~Dagger~
bimbo69
Tenchi is great. Muyo is the best out of the series because its better drawn and the stroy lines really good. I like all the characters but if i had to pick a fav then it would have to be Ryoko because she so funny.

Solo Tremaine
I love Tenchi. The exception to this is Tenchi in Tokyo, which is my least favourite of the three already-existing series (not including Tenchi X-GP or whatever it is that's coming out soon). The comedy's really fun to watch- although the dialogue's not quite as good as some series I've seen, the characters are well-written. Washu and Sasami are my personal favourites, heh. I really want to see the three movies. Then I might be able to get some proper closure on Tenchi Muyo, which seemed to dive straight into an odd spin-off episode and then end rather obscurely with Pretty Sammy credits. Don't get me wrong- it's a good episode; it's just not exactly a series climax, heh. The end of Tenchi Universe was alright in my opinion-
The fact that they all came back to earth was enough for me, having Tenchi finally choose someone to love might cheapen the whole series in a way, and any other subsequent serii, so that part doesn't bother me too much. It's fun just watching them all bounce off each other.
Willow
I love Tenchi Muyo, it's such a great series! Actually I didn't mind Ayeka that much her voice was lil annoying but deep down she's a sweety. Ryoko was cool I have to admit, but Sasami was always my favorite. I wish cartoon network would put that back on there schedule...
Shinken
I remember watching Tenchi Muyo at my friend's house (back when they still had it on Cartoon Network. WHY DID THEY TAKE IT OFF!?). I thought it was a great show, and it also helped when I saw Weird Al's "Harvey the Wonder Hamster" song played with clips of Ryo-Oki flopping his ears and eating carrots. "HARVEY IS A WONDER HAMSTER! YAY HARVEY!" oO; Anyways, Tenchi Muyo was a great blend of drama, action, and comedy. I'm not too convinced over the upcoming Tenchi reincarnation... Looks kinda dumb. Radical Ed
I love Tenchi! *the show* My favorite are Sasami and Washu and Ryo-Oki I dunno why I also like Ryoko. My favorite series was Tenchi Universe I think...I havent seen it in a long time...*cries* I wish they had it back on CN but *sigh* My favorite episode is the one with Ryoko and Ayeka I think had to save Tenchi's life from the girl who cuts the string of life which would end Tenchi's life. Well, I also liked the Muyo series but Tenchi in Tokyo was kinda well a little boring. ^_^ I hope they get the Tenchi Muyo series back on CN.
