Clamp is a well known Comic artist group, well known in Korea and Japan. America just doesn't seem to import less known groups so few people may have heard of it. I don't mean to be callous or pejorative clamp, but the style of drawing isn't how I say this, MY style, but i still fell they are good. Mostly i don't buy american manga republications, so i may not know, but seriously, alot of people don't know about CLaMp. I haven't gotten to see Magic Knight Rayearth yet, but I'd like to sometime. I agree with whoever said to expand your horizons. Maybe people just don't know them by name? Because I gues they know their works. And Amen to that about expansion of horizons. I love the artwork style of CLAMP. That's why I like their stories so much. They're so BEAUTIFUL! And my favorite series by them is the MKR manga, after Princess Emeraude dies and Eagle and Lantis are on there. CLAMP is an anime group that makes shows and mangas. The reason why it doesn't have just one person's name, such as Watase Yu, is because not just one person is in charge of it. Four ladies come up with everything together. Their names and jobs for the Rayearth series are: Nanase Ohkawa-leader/wrote story Mokona Apapa-drawing character and background art Satsuki Igarashi-assistant designer and production coordinator Mick Nekoi-final editing work and direction/draws the chibi characters They do it all. But yeah, in a nutshell, CLAMP are the people/creators of the mangas of X, Cardcaptors, etc. etc. Personally, I think X is gorgeous. I've read a bit of Rayearth and it's pretty good, too...... it's just the story is a bit bland for my tastes. Card Captors.... eh, not really my thing. The SUBBED (not dumb-dubbed and Americanized) version of the TV series is sooooo cute! But anyway, that's about as far as my knowledge extends.
