TheShinje
Is there a block on how much history you can view on the boards now? After checking out Pumpkin's thread about the history of the internet, I was interested in checking out my history with OtakuBoards and the various posts I've made in my time here, I have done this once before and have been able to view my entire history. But now, there's only 200 available posts in my history, which makes for a very sad Shinje. Umm, I'm not vain. :animeshy: I'm just curious about my activities here. Is there a setting I can change to view my entire post history? If it has indeed been constructed this way, to keep dead threads dead or soemthing like that, that's cool, just like to know.
Sara
Your results are limited to 200. However, using the "advanced search" option here you can specify which 200 posts you see. Search for posts by your username, and you can search by forum, date of post, contents of post, etc.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. I actually noticed that a while back that I couldn't search any more than two hundred posts back into my dubious origins, and I agree with Shinji that it's a pity you can't search further back without getting really technically involved with the search feature. For those of us who have made a sizable chunk of our post count in one forum, the Square in my own case, refining the search is a very arduous and often tediously irritating task. It really would be awesome to be able to flick back through the all the posts you?ve made over the years, from the great to the truly awful ones you wish you?d been too sick to post.
Desbreko
I decided to look into this, since I remember there being a time when the "find all posts" thing would actually find all of them. Pre-version 7, I think. Turns out there's an option to limit the number of search results the board will display, which was set at 200. Not seeing any harm in raising it, I set it to 100,000; basically, something high enough that it won't be cutting any off. So you'll again be able to see all of your posts ever made through the find all posts link. Have fun dredging up the past, however noobish it may be. :)
