Stark
I found this manga recently as a result of borrowing it from a friend, and I must say that it is very enjoyable. Admittedly, I am a yaoi fan, but I never strayed too much farther than the mainstream titles, like Gravitation, Fake, or the works of CLAMP. Bescause of that, this was my first time encountering Only the Ring Finger Knows. Now, my main question is, can this manga be found in book stores or not? I haven't seen it anywhere at all, and I'm just wondering if I have to continue borrowing this series from my friend or not. It is very sweet and enjoyable--I love it so far--so I'll be disappointed if I can't find it. Please. Any help is welcome.

Persona
Well I am a newbie to say at yaoi manga, but OTRFK was my 2nd yaoi manga I've picked up and loved. The rest will be spoilers since I like to blab about things I like on here, but before we get to that. You can find these type of books in Borders, Amazon and possibly other places..depending where you live.
For starters this manga is about two high school students. One is a junoir, Wataru Fujii who has a silver ring on his finger that represents that he's single and the senoir, Yuichi Kazuki ,who also has the same ring as Wataru for some odd reason (Who also wears it on his I'm single finger). When they accidently switch rings during the bathroom break, they discover that their rings are the same. Kazuki is known to be kind to others, but gives Wataru the cold shoulder...wonder why? But has the story progresses, we get to see mixed emotions flying around and poor Wataru is so confused. He does start to have feelings for Yuichi (Falls in love with him quickly), but he just doesn't get him. One day he's broken hearted when he sees Yuichi and this female in the park together on the day of Yuichi's b-day. But to get to the point...Yuichi was the one who made a copy of Wataru's ring, because he was secretly in love with him...there is more to this..but I won't give it all away. Will Wataru find out...will they be enemies or soulmates. BTW, there's a part 2 to this magna called: OTRFK: The Lonely Ring finger...coming out soon....if you want to find out more here's a link: Yaoi , they are the publishers of some yaoi books.
Dagger

BTW, there's a part 2 to this magna called: OTRFK: The Lonely Ring finger...coming out soon....if you want to find out more here's a link: Yaoi , they are the publishers of some yaoi books.

As a general note, "The Lonely Ring Finger" is the first book in the series of novels upon which the manga was based. It covers the events of the manga, but it also goes past them. I just thought it was probably important to mention that it's a novel rather than a graphic novel, so people don't expect one thing and end up being surprised by getting the other. Your wording was a little ambiguous. ~Dagger~
Persona
Well it is true that my statement had many interpretations to it but this is what led me to believe that this is a continuation to it:
Not only in Yuichi the most mysterious, sought-after guy at school, he's got an excellent shot at getting into any prestigious University...and no one knows this better than his secret love, Wataru. But instead of a vacation break spent celebrating beneath the fragrant sway of summer blossoms, both boys must surrender to Yuichi's grueling study schedule. How can they possibly sweeten the deal? A bet that promises to take their young relationship to the next level is in the works, but Wataru complicates matters when the very ring that symbolizes their precious bond goes missing. Prying girls and wisecracking best friends only fuel the falmes of gossip, and soon the small white lies that were only meant to protect the heart of Wataru's beloved become poison arrows. With the test and their relationship on the line, can the boys hold on long enough to survive the sticky meltdown of their longest summer. Tender longing and young curiosity unite in The Lonely Ring Finger. Follows the cycle of a teasing friendship that takes a serious turn and spirals into an intense romance. The ring on each boy's finger is a symbol of two hearts that beat together despite the prying eyes of classmates... and this is one couple who must weather a storm of scrutiny to discover if their love is truly meant to last. Which is to be released inMar 15, 2006
It mentions nothing about it being a story that was first the book in the series of novels upon which the manga was based.
It covers the events of the manga, but it also goes past them.
I do know that there was a thing like that, but anyhow you probably right. Like I stated before I'm rather new to this.
Dagger
There is no more OTRFK manga. The page I assume you got that from says "Only the Ring Finger Knows - The Novel" right at the top. And repeats it again above the Author/Artist information bar thingie. :p It's a continuation of the manga series in the sense that it carries the storyline further--but it's still a novel (with occasional illustrations by the manga artist, Hotaru Odagiri). ~Dagger~
Persona
Alirght I do thank you for clearing that up, I was a bit confused of what the site said and what I'm reading here. This is why I stick to dvds rather than novels/manga, anyhow now I know and poor stark won't be confused at my post.
Stark
Everything has been made very clear, no worries. I must thank you about the information, and confirming my suspicions that I'll need to continue borrowing this off of my friend. The nearest Borders is about 15 miles away, and the local places, Books a Million and Barnes & Noble, don't offer these type of series. Amazon.com is a no-go for me too--my parents aren't that keen on my spending money on manga as it is, so if I order something offline they'll really ask questions. Still, I'm glad to know that the series has more to it. The friend I'm borrowing it from also said that the release date for the next installment is in March, so I'll have to wait either way. Thank you very much for the info and the links, they are appreciated.
