Do any of you guys know anything about Hellsing's prequel The Dawn? I have snippets of information but it doesn't tell me much. The internet is a very limited source when it comes to Dawn. If you know 'anything', anything at all please tell me. I'm desperate.

From what I can tell, Hellsing: The Dawn is a prequel of Hellsing that is currently only in Manga form. It may be included in the upcoming Hellsing OVA, but it is as of yet unknown, so I shall move this to the Manga forum. You may find it easier to find an answer there.

Hellsing Dawn is about a young Walter and Alucard (who is insanely girly in Dawn, omigawd, it kills me *heart*)

It's been a while since I've read it, but if I remember properly
it takes place in World War II. It's pretty much how Walter met the Captain (if you've been reading the manga, you'll know that he and Walter ran into each other again near the end of volume 7). Like I said, it's been a while since I read it... so I don't remember all the details ^^; I do remember Walter getting all kinds of beat up though~
Thanks...I have been reading Hellsing so I know about the references there. like your example in volume seven. ...and I know a little about Dawn but not enough to really satiate my thirst. Do you happen to know where I could find Dawn translated or even just the untranslated version? It would really be helpful.

Sadly, I don't T_T (plus, I don't think this forum allows that sort of links XD; but I don't even know it to PM you)

I might still have the manga on my computer though... but I don't think I have the whole thing? I can't remember... though I can check when I get home and see if I still have it. I'd be willing to toss it on my server for you and PM you a link ^_^

Since people seem desprerate for info I decided to post some....

Hellsing, an organization devoted to the elimination of the vampire threat, has recently uncovered information regarding the attempted production of "man-made" undead. The world is presently in the thick of WWII, and the current leader of Hellsing fears the Nazis could potentially use these creatures as front-line super-soldiers. Although the technology of creating artificial vampires is still in it?s infancy, it has advanced enough to be a serious threat. In an attempt to put a stop to this perverse and dangerous experimentation, Hellsing has sent two of its most skillful agents to Poland. A young man by the name of Walter C. Dornes - a.k.a. "The Angel of Death," and Alucard, an ancient vampire currently in forced service to the Hellsing Organization. Together, they attempt to stop the progress of the Nazi's efforts.

Also Kouta Hirano( author of Hellsing) will be doing the story and artwork. Im really looking foward to seeing Walter in his prime.

Thanks!! I would really appreciate it. Oh, and would anyone know why Alucard is in chibi form? I mean it's relly cute...but I don't know why he does it. In my opinion, I think it was done to mock his enemies. Unless he just wanted to fit in, which I seriously doubt.
I like his fuzzy hat(really random)! :D His whole ensemble was pretty cool... ^_^
