[CENTER][FONT=Century Gothic][COLOR=DarkSlateGray]As Cell 1 left the hall, Cell 2 walked in, Naruto striding in with his chest puffed out. He stood with his hands on his hips as his Genin lined up beside him, all of them looking a little tired and irate. Naruto got them out of bed early, no doubt.

[B]"You better be giving us something good, old man!"[/B] Naruto boomed, not noticing Mei's wince.

[B]"Depends on what you count as good, Naruto-kun,"[/B] the Hokage countered, looking down at his papers.[B] "Well, let's see...you're all going to be looking after a puppy."[/B]

Naruto blinked before groaning and slumping to the floor, visibly sulking. Hart snorted softly and looked at the ceiling, trying not to laugh.

[B]"It's simple, really, go to Mr Oyichi's house. He'll meet you there and no doubt leave instructions on how to look after his Poochie."[/B]

[B]"Poochie...?" [/B] Keiji began, but Mei cut him off with a shake of her head. She was trying not to laugh, too, by the looks of it.

[B]"Tch...Why do we get the stupid Missions?"[/B] Naruto grumbled as Hart tugged on his sleeve.

[B]"Naruto, it's hardly stupid. We're still getting paid."[/B] The Hokage smiled one last time as the Genin's shoulders slumped slightly, encouraged to leave a little faster as Sho's Cell entered the room.

[Retribution]

[size=1]Keiji sighed internally at the odd-job they had been handed. The euphoria of graduating had worn off, and now he looked back at the Academy in nostalgic retrospect. The prize of graduation didn?t live up to the unbelievably lofty hype, and he was left wanting to study at the Academy once more.

?We?re handed the high honor of watching Poochie, eh?? Hart remarked in a sarcastic tone before sulking with Naruto over their ill luck.

?Naruto-sensei, I intend no disrespect, but shouldn?t [I]you[/I] be telling [i]us[/I] to suck it up, rather than the other way around?? Keiji spoke gently, knowing he was treading on eggshells with his question. He hoped Naruto was merciful and understood what he meant, rather than taking it as an insult.

?Hell no, Miyamoto,? Naruto said, ?Drop and give me fifty,? he added with a smirk. Begrudgingly, Keiji layed on the ground. Much to his surprise, Naruto stood on top of his student.

?Sir?? He was puzzled, to say the least.

?We don?t have all day ? better start now!? It took a few minutes, and Keiji had to use his chakra to make Naruto feel lighter, but he completed his fifty push ups. He hopped off Keiji?s back.

?I?m not gonna go easy on you all ? do you understand? You have the future Hokage training you. Feel honored!? The three students saluted Naruto, who then turned his back and began to walk. ?Follow me ? we?re going on a field trip,? he mused, still the boyish excitement in his voice as he informed his students. Secretly, he hoped they shared his excitement.

??what the hell was all that standing on your back business?? Hart chuckled at Keiji, who ignored him out of annoyance. ?Oh, c?mon ? don?t be such a poor sport!?

?I was being serious was all. Leave it alone, Hart,? Keiji knew he wouldn?t.

?And man, you had quite a t??

?Oh, cut it out. Don?t be such a child,? Mei interjected with such authority that the two boys went silent for a time. Hart was silent out of fear. Keiji was silent out of admiration.

[I]Damn, she?s good.[/I] He smiled with hope as the doors to the city swung open and the world opened up to them.[/size]

[Revelation]

[size=1] [color=#FF8C00]Behind Naruto were the three Genin who seemed to be getting along, at least that was what appeared to Naruto since his back was facing them. The Jounin was completely overwhelmed that he and his cell were finally able to have a mission. His face glowed with anticipation and happiness, a sense of power flaring in his eyes, knowing that he would be able to direct the Genin in what they were to do. He was wholly determined to turn these Genin into the best ninja that Konoha could ever have, yet he soon realized that what they had to do involved a pet. This had triggered a memory in his mind, making him leave his joyous expression to that of remembering.

[i]?Hey, didn?t Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke, Sakura, and I get a mission that involved an animal too? What was it??[/i] As Naruto looked to the ground with his around his chin and tapping his jaw, he didn?t see where he was going nor did his Cell, who was busy bickering with each other, making him run right into a pole. [i]?A-ta-ta-ta.?[/i] Naruto?s body began to slide down to the ground in the exact position he was in at that moment. [i]?Itai!?[/i]

The loud thud of his collision with the pole resounded throughout the street, causing his Genin to stop their shouting and look towards Naruto, shouting ?Naruto-sensei? as they ran towards him. Once they reached him, they saw that he was lying on his back with a large red line down the middle of his face. Hart began snickering as Naruto laid there twitching while Meiko and Keiji tried to help him. As soon as he stood up, Naruto was fuming with frustration and suddenly he remembered what his mission was when he was a Genin. His chuckling caught the Genin off-guard as they stared at him, wondering what was wrong with him. The first to question this was Hart.

[B]?Naruto-sensei, what?s wrong with you? First you were lying on the ground and now you?re laughing your ass off. Are you sure you?re not hurt??[/B]

In response, Naruto punched him on the top of his head. Keiji stood there with a small smile and Meiko rolled her eyes at Hart. [B]?Baka. Of course, I?m hurt! Don?t you see this damned red mark?!?[/B] Rubbing the middle of his forehead, Naruto said in a fake sob, [B]?Itai!?[/B] Naruto straightened himself and turned around, only to smack himself into the pole again. Hart walked past Naruto, secretly laughing at Naruto within himself until he himself wanted to burst out laughing and at the same time, he was calling his sensei, ?Baka.? Meiko rolled her eyes and walked helped her sensei to his feet with the help of Keiji.

Naruto shook his head lightly while rubbing his head and then looked to the pole. Furiously, Naruto walked on but soon stopped, seeing that they were in front of Mr. Oyichi?s house. It was a fairly average house but what the Genin and their sensei didn?t expect was what was waiting for them inside. Naruto knocked on the door and found Mr. Oyichi with Poochie in his arms, growling at Naruto. The owner beckoned the Konoha ninjas in, thanking them for coming. At first Cell 4 was giving thanks and exchanging greetings but as soon as they entered the house, their jaws fell to the ground and their eyes had widened at what was in front of them. It was as if bright colors and ostentatious décor exploded from some sort of bomb and merely scattered throughout the house. This house was nothing like anything the four had ever seen but soon enough, they were brought back to reality from the owner?s voice.

[B]?Sit, sit, won?t you??[/B]

Naruto and the others gathered their mouths and followed Mr. Oyichi to the living room, seating themselves on the couch and comforters. They couldn?t help but look around, considering the illustrious and color that filled the house. They restrained themselves from doing or saying anything that might?ve insulted the owner but with wide eyes, they couldn?t help but look in disbelief, never knowing a house could ever transform into something as splashy as Mr. Oyichi?s house.

Once again, Cell Four?s thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Oyichi?s voice. [B]?I?m glad they sent someone out as soon as they could. My name is Mr. Oyichi and this little cutie here is Poochie.?[/B] His voice became horrifyingly the same way women spoke to babies. [B]?He?s papa?s little boy, yes he is, yes he is.?[/B] Mr. Oyichi looked to Naruto.

Disgusted, Naruto stared at Mr. Oyichi as did Meiko, Hart, and Keiji who all were thinking, [i]?Is he seriously referring to that ugly mop in his arms??[/i] Naruto cleared his throat and could only see fur all around the dog, he couldn?t distinguish where his head or tail was. Everything was covered in fluff, just growling at Naruto and his Genin. [B]?It?s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Oyichi. I?m Cell Four?s Jounin, Uzumakin Naruto.?[/B] He reached out to shake hands with Mr. Oyichi but found that Poochie was at the receiving end with his mouth closed around Naruto?s hand.

Mr. Oyichi chuckled at this. [B]?Oh, isn?t he just the cutest thing? He?s a bit hyperactive but, oh! He?s a darling. I don?t know if I can just part with my baby but, oh dear, I really have to.?[/B] He checked the time and saw that he was running late. [B]?I really should get going or I?ll be late. Here, take Poochie.?[/B] Mr. Oyichi handed Poochie over to Hart, who was sitting the closest and stood up rather quickly. He suddenly grabbed his belongings and ran for the door. [B]?Take care of my baby for me!?[/B] As soon as Mr. Oyichi stepped out the door, Naruto called out to him.

[B]?Eh, anou, Mr. Oyichi, is there anything we need to know about your dog before you leave??[/B]

Blinking a few times, Mr. Oyichi was in thought. [B]?Yes, yes!?[/B] The flamboyant man reached into his jacket and took out a piece of folded paper, handing it to Naruto. [B]?These are some things you need to know about Poochie and what he needs. I?m counting on you to take care of until I get back, Naruto-san.?[/B] He cheked his watched once more and ran down the street, waving good-bye as he did.

[B]?Naruto-sensei, what do we do with him now??[/B][/size][/color]

[Ellerby]

[color=#333333]Hart stood with the pup laying in his folded arms. It was basically a fluffy mop without the shaft. The mop-like creature had it's nuzzle scrunched up in Hart's armpit and was wiggling around awkwardly. Keiji started laughing out of nowhere.

"What?!" squaked Hart. He glared at Keiji who covered his grin with his hand and looked away. Not even two minutes later, Hart wore a grave look on his face and immediately stuck the dog out into the air, away from his body. Bathroom time for Poochie!

"Oooh, gross!" Meiko squeeled and ran into the other room. Keiji fell onto the floor laughing. "There aren't any paper towels in the kitchen!" yelled Mei.

Still holding the urinating pooch out, Hart looked down at his shirt disgustingly. It was covered in dog pee. Hart glanced at Keiji who was just getting himself up again.

"Stop laughing and help me!" Keiji obeyed and took Poochie. Hart grabbed some paper towels Mei had finally retrieved and wiped his shirt off. By the time he was done, so was Poochie. Naruto-sensei watched as Mei and Hart cleaned the rest off the floor and Keiji put the dog on the ground. When everything was clean, Poochie started growling and leaped onto the Jounin of Cell 2's leg, not letting go.

"Waah~! Get it off of me!" Naruto whipped his leg threw the air in an attempt to throw the dog off but stopped soon after Mei warned him not to kill it. He calmed himself down and let her yank open Poochie's mouth and remove him from her sensei's leg. The small pup purred like a cat and swiftly fell asleep in Meiko's arms.

"So," said Keiji. "What's the list say?"[/color]

[Sakura]

[COLOR=Navy]Meiko wasn't pleased about the mission that Cell 2 had been given, she was sure their skills could be put to better use than dog-sitting. But she soon lost that thought, a mission was a mission, and nothing changed that fact, even if it was a useless D Rank. She truly believed that she was more mature than the three male members of the Cell, including Naruto-sensei so that meant she had to keep calm, collected, and go through with the task.

However, when she saw Poochie, her eye twitched as a dirty rug ran around the house, the only way she knew which end had the head was by the direction it was running in.

Mr Oyichi left in a hurry, blowing out the door, shoving a piece of crumpled paper into their sensei's hand on his way out. It wasn't long before the first problem with the dog came. Dear Poochie released the contents of his bowels all over the front of Hart.

Meiko quickly ran to the kitchen for paper towelling to clean up the mess, but her search was futile, she moved on through the house before she pulled a long chain from the roll in the toilet, rushing back to the living room. Keiji was watching the dog run around on the ground, continuing his trail of mess. Hart cleaned up his front, while the other two Genin mopped up the floor.

Poochie yipped and latched onto the leg of the Jounin who started to crazily wave his leg, trying to dislodge the mop with sharp teeth. Meiko tried to calm him down quickly, not wanting him to kill their charge, if they did Hokage-sama and Mr Oyichi would be very, very, [I]very[/I] upset at them.

Mei gently pried the jaws apart and cradled him carefully in her arms were he made a sound similar to a purr before promptly falling asleep. She scratched him behind the ears and looked to Naruto-sensei to answer Keiji's question of what they had to do.

[B]"Well...the first task is to give him a bath."[/B] Naruto relayed, consulting the piece of paper he had jammed into his pocket.

Meiko frowned, looking down at the tangle of matted fur that snored softly in her hands, she shifted his weight to one arm and ran her fingers through his thick coat, it snagged constantly that if she tugged any harder, it would wake the pet.

[B]"Let's do that then. Keiji, can you fill the bath tub with warm water? Hart, go see if you can find some dog shampoo and a comb. Naruto-sensei....erm....why don't you search for some food for Poochie."[/B] Mei designated tasks and the three males nodded, going off.

Meiko slowly walked to the bathroom, bouncing the dog up and down, speaking quietly to try and wake it. Poochie whined and his head lifted.

[B]"Shh, it's ok, we're just gonna take a bath."[/B] she told him soothingly.

Poochie wiggled a little but Meiko continued to calm him as they entered. The girl sat herself down on the mat and dipped a hand in to test the water. She nodded and placed the dog in carefully, not wanting to do it suddenly. She began to scoop water onto the fur, wetting him. Hart entered holding a comb with wide teeth.

[B]"I found a comb but no dog shampoo."[/B] he reported.

[B]"Alright, you two take care of Poochie, I'll take a search around and see what I find."[/B] Meiko said as she shook her hand free of water, brushing it against her pants as she stood.

She hummed to herself as she wandered around the rooms, opening cupboards and drawers. She went outside to a storage area and found an old bottle that looked like it hadn't been used in quite a while. She rubbed the grime off the label and smiled triumphantly as 'Doggy Shampoo' glared back.

She brought the bottle back into the bathroom, her eyes widened as she saw a mess. The boys were all wet and Poochie was jumping around in the bath tub, splashing water everywhere, evading the grabbing hands that tried to still him. Poochie was barking loudly, growling and biting at the hands that got near him.

[B]"Stop!"[/B] she yelled.

They stopped moving and looked at her. She smirked at the boys who were effectively drenched, and shook her head.

[B]"I leave you alone for about 5 minutes and this happens."[/B] she sighed. [B]"Go change or something, I think I can take care of it."[/B]

The two boys looked a little embarrassed as they exited, their clothes clinging to their bodies. Meiko smiled reassuringly to them and placed the bottle next to the sink. She pulled the mop from behind the door and cleaned up all the water. When she was done, she knelt beside the tub again.

[B]"Sorry it took so long. Now let's give you a bath."[/B]

She wet his fur again and popped the cap of the shampoo bottle, she squeezed a dollop of it into her palm and rubbed it into the coat, creating a thick lather. She worked it through and used a bit more before setting the bottle aside. Meiko picked up the comb and ran it through, working out the tangles and thick knots. When she was satisfied she'd gotten all the mess and knots out, she scooped water onto him, washing away the shampoo. As she went through the process, Poochie made it a little hard by moving around and barking angrily at her if she pulled particularly hard at a tough tangle.

Meiko finally pulled the plug from the tub, wiping her forearm across her forehead. Poochie shook himself vigorously, sending water droplets flying everywhere. She used a towel as a shield and waited until he stopped before rubbing him down with a towel, drying the fur thoroughly. Mei combed through again and picked him up, smelling him, he smelled clean, and she was happy.

She walked to where the others were and they all looked at the dog, he looked so different now that he was clean. His fur was whiter, and you could see his eyes from beneath the heavy bangs. Meiko smiled and scratched him behind his ears before setting him down. Naruto-sensei stooped and placed a dog bowl on the ground full of chunky dog food.

[B]"Good job, Meiko."[/B] Naruto complimented.

[B]"Thanks."[/B] she smiled, pleased with her job, strange as it sounded, it seemed that Poochie was only comfortable if she was around. [B]"What's next on the 'To Do' list?"[/B][/COLOR]

[Retribution]

[size=1]?It says to play catch,? Naruto said as he re-examined the crumpled scrap of paper. ?Finally, something that?s not completely lame,? he added. Keiji and Hart both smiled, knowing they would finally get to do something right on the mission.

?I?ll take care of it,? Meiko said confidently. ?Besides, you two are drenched.?

?That?s alright ? Hart and I can suck it up and play catch,? Keiji countered. They silently battled before Meiko conceded defeat.

?Fine, fine. I?ll work on the next thing on the list,? he said as she walked into the kitchen. Hart picked up the ball that Poochie played with and walked outside with it. They exited into the backyard, where Hart threw the ball up high in the air. When the toy returned to the ground, Poochie jumped in the air, effectively clasping the rubber ball between his jaws.

?C?mon, boy, give me the ball,? Keiji asked as he forcefully removed the ball from the dog?s mouth. This time he threw it in a wide arc across the yard, and the dog took off in full sprint for it. With a smirk, he whipped out a scroll and used one of his Wind jutsu, which blew the ball around in the air. The dog looked utterly baffled for a few moments before barking at the supernatural sight.

?Ah, you think you?re hot stuff, Miyamoto?? Hart remarked before tossing a hail of shuriken at the rubber toy. Keiji concentrated his efforts, effectively saving the ball from impalement.

?No sweat,? Keiji boasted back. The two chuckled, and Keiji let the ball drop down to the expectant canine on the ground.

?You idiots!? Keiji?s heart jumped into his throat as he heard his sensei?s yelling voice directly behind Hart and him. They both fell down face-first onto the ground in utter surprise, before hopping back up. ?What would?ve happened if you sliced up the ball? Drop and give me fifty, each of you.?

?But I sa?,? Keiji tried to defend himself before being cut off.

?I don?t wanna hear it. Back-talking Genin get fifty more push-ups, and this time, no chakra tricks!?

[I]How did he know?![/I] Keiji thought in surprise. Begrudgingly, the duo dropped to the ground and did push-ups for what seemed like an eternity. The situation became increasingly awkward when Meiko wandered outside and inquired why they were doing push-ups.

?Because they?re dumbasses,? Naruto answered simply with a huge grin on his face.[/size]

[Revelation]

[size=1][color=#B2566B]Power, sweet power was what Uzumaki Naruto held as he ordered his Genin to begin 50 plus push-ups. He could see the grim looks on their faces as they reluctantly fell to the ground and began their punishment. The two boys looked up only to see their female companion standing before them rolling her eyes as if to say, ?You guys are idiots.? But thus, Naruto, himself, answered that for her, or he spoke it whereas she thought it. After how many ever minutes passed, the two male Genin stood and groaned from pain and embarrassment because Meiko had watched them through their punishment. As Cell Four stood outside, Naruto looked around for the ugly mop named Poochie. He suddenly realized the dog was missing.

[B]?WAAAH! Where is he?! Where?s that dog?!?[/B] Frantically, Naruto began to run and up down the entire backyard searching for the dog. He stopped in front of his students, waving his arms like a maniac, screaming, [B]?Don?t stand there! Help me find him, you idiots!?[/B]

Each ran around the house, searching inside and out, in every nook and cranny, only to find that Poochie was nowhere to be found. Naruto, at this moment, was on the verge of hyperventilating and a complete freak out. His students merely looked at him with wide eyes and amazed looks, as he went about everything, searching for this dog, which he referred to as a devil dog and yet, it was nowhere in sight.

Groaning, Naruto slouched and hung his hands low to the ground. He began cursing and mumbling to himself about how terrible this D Rank Mission was and what a waste of money it had become, then he began to mumble something about the dog being a demon from hell sent to waste away his training and to waste away his time. It wasn?t long until a deep growl and small running feet were heard and seen, right after its owner had caught hold of Naruto?s right butt cheek. With a dog attached to him, Naruto ran around, wailing and shouting, flailing his arms around, screaming at anything and everything.

Laughter, pure and evil laughter was heard from Hart as he rolled on the floor, holding onto his stomach as his sensei ran around the backyard with a mutt stuck to him. Meiko and Keiji tried hard not to laugh but not matter how much they tried, they ended up laughing at their sensei who tried many ways to pry the dog off of him. Naruto looked up to see this and ignored the pain, knowing it would return later, and began to scold his students but Poochie had a better idea and bit him harder, this time ripping through the fabric. Everyone gasped and stopped laughing; knowing that the sound they had heard was anything but funny. Naruto slowly turned his head to see this demon dog wagging his tail with a piece of his orange pants in his mouth. Fire began to blaze in his eyes.[/size][/color]
