Darkness Falls: Darkness Begins Again

It has been twenty years after the last incident. The times of vampire?s and werewolves roaming the earth. Once it was true. But after these twenty years it has died down. The signs now point to another awakening of the Darkness. One that will come back twice as strong. Here is where we join the in the year of 2224. The first incident ended twenty years ago. Now the unfreezing begins of the preserved Taikaru.

?Cryogenic chamber number 7a45b now beginning unfreezing process.? A computer called out. It took a few minutes but the ice finally thawed out a woman with black hair. ?Now beginning reanimation.? As she stumbled to her feet she spoke quietly to herself. After getting through the processes she stumbled to meet the scientists that unfroze her.
?Taikaru?? A scientist questions seeing if brain functions have returned to normal.
?Yes.? She said quietly.
?You will be debriefed as soon as we get you into some clothes please follow me.? The scientist walked her out. ?We?d like to begin you with the basics as soon as you are done dressing.? Taikaru nodded and walked into the dressing room. There she put on her undergarments and zipped up in a tight fitting leather jacket. She combed down her hair and came out looking exactly the way she used to look. ?If you are all set I would like to begin you with the basic rundown.?
?I?m ready doctor.? Taikaru said with confidence still trying to gain ground.
?I?m pleased to let you know that the unfreezing process was a complete success. I?d also like to let you know that it has happened again.? A brief moment of silence came over them in the hallway but Taikaru was alright.
?So doctor it has happened again. What matter of forms are they taking on this time?? Taikaru asked knowing of what has happened in the past.
?Well they are the same as before. This time though they are many times stronger. We need new men.? The scientist directed Taikaru to a new door. ?Please if you would like any more answers ask him.? Taikaru went through the door and met up with a familiar face.
?So Taikaru it has been awhile but it looks like you work under me once again.? Said Red the commander of the small army that used to be. ?I will show you the video tape we picked up but before that I want you to see the power from before.? Red shoved in a video tape of new years eve 2200.

It was a happy year. The confetti was falling as the ball dropped. The streets of New York were yelling and screaming about the new year. The shouts of people could be heard all the way around the city the shouts of the countdown. ?5?4?3?2?1!!!? Suddenly the electricity fell short and nothing worked. The street lights went dim and finally went out. It was pure darkness over the city. ?A miraculous thing has happened here on Times Square today. The power fell short on us. I don?t know if you can hear me folks but it is really amazing.? The report was cut short by screams coming from the way of the harbor. Many people took off running.

The tape was cut short. ?You know what happened next. The next morning all the bodies were found and that one video was recovered. Shortly after that we formed our own army to combat that. We found the virus that had caused these attacks but once again we had to defend the earth one more time after that. Three months later we assembled you again. You were the only one to volunteer to be frozen so everyone else has grown up. Please you are still under oath to be quiet about your existence. If they wish to rejoin they will come. Please now head to the meeting room where you will meet your team mates.? Red directed her to the door and to the meeting room. There she opened the door and found a few people all over the room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1: Shadows Reform

One of a few doors that automatically from motion sensors opened when Taikaru came to it. In the room she saw various members. There Taikaru scanned the room of the members. Slowly she walked in and leaned up against a wall. She found one person she recognized. It was Alex. ?Hmm so she does love here duties.? Taikaru said quietly. She noticed that the room had changed from just a regular grey walled area to a room with a few pictures covered up by sheets. *Now I wonder why those pictures are covered.* She was surrounded by new faces so she thought to retreat back to who she knew. ?Hello Alex.? Taikaru said kindly.
?Hey Taikaru. I hope I can be of use in battle. I?m happy about us being team mates again.?
?Me too.? Taikaru said blandly. ?Ya know that either you or me are going to appointed leader of this team once Red gets in here.?
?I do Taikaru. I think you will be a good leader.? Alex said taking a seat on a chair near her.
?So I heard the same incident happened again. Where was it this time?? Taikaru started to question Alex. She was intrigued about the species.
?I don?t know yet but I was hoping you could tell me.?
?I don?t know either. I just hope it wasn?t New York again.?
?So they?re stronger right? I mean if these are intelligent creatures they would know from the past that we are stronger than them, right?? Alex said a bit scared.
?No worries. But yes they are strong. I volunteered for cryogenics because I thought this moment would come.? Taikaru said looking back into the past.
?Well after the last time I don?t know what happened to the rest of the team. I see Farel isn?t?? Alex stopped and looked up at Taikaru. Her face remained the same but she could still feel the pain coming out.
?Let?s not go on about that subject. Either way I believe Red is almost here.? Suddenly out of the speakers set around the room the pa turned on.
?I see your senses have improved even though you were frozen Taikaru.? Red said over the pa. ?I?ll be brief with you all.? A wall on the other side of the room opened and closed as a chair came through it with Red at a desk in the front of the room. ?Hello everyone and welcome. I?m Red and I will be your boss. Please everyone take a seat. Your all probably wondering why you are here. Well from the video I showed you all as you came in to my office I will give you more information. These creatures appeared twenty years ago. Together we fought things from vampires to werewolves.? The pictures? sheets all fell as Red stopped talking. It was all pictures of the past events. There was one of vampires and werewolves, their first mission. Another was one of zombies and a gargoyle creature, their last mission of the first few months. ?These are creatures that have been dealt with in the past. If you want further details please ask Alex or Taikaru here. These creatures have resurfaced and they are stronger. Along with a few new species they have been terrorizing the outback in Australia. This area used to be a extreme tourist attraction. The airport there is already dangerous so you will be sent a few miles away from there. I have a feeling other spots will be appearing shortly. I want you to take care of this situation as fast as possible. Here are a few things that you will be using. I?ve modded a few of these gun clips with some of Farel?s camouflage ability. As long as your holding on to these clips they will keep you invisible from the creatures eyes. Unfortunately they only last for about two hours. Also another obstacle to face is when you land. You will be dropped from one thousand feet in the air. We have sand vipers there that want a little revenge from what happened last time. One of them that we had captured on surveillance cameras had gouged out eyes and burnt skin. I believe this one was Lee?s almost kill. If it has survived for twenty years there is no telling the endurance of these animals. The second thing you will need to do is get a bomb detonated in the airport. You will need to put it near the hangers. This explosion is only big enough to take out one half of the airport but with the help of fuel cells in the planes and any storage there there will be a complete success of extinguishing the creatures to a reasonable some. With that I?m open for any questions.? Half the people in the room were a little amazed at how fast the info was dealt out so quickly.
?If I may ask you how strong are these monsters. No match for my skill right Red?? Tokoru said quite arrogantly.
?Actually Tokoru-?
?Call me Toggy.?
?Toggy?these creatures will need to be dealt with stealthily. If not then you all risk the chance of death. These sand vipers are no laughing matter.? Red said with a Stern face. Tokoru then backed off. ?Anyone else? Good then I?m appointing Taikaru team leader. It really means nothing since you will all be working as equals anyway. With that I?ll have a ship ready for you in a day.? Red then left through the wall where he first came in.
*Interesting very interesting.* Taikaru thought to herself as she watched Red go.
?So team leader, what should we do?? Toggy said looking at Taikaru in a rude way.
?Well I think you should get training. As for the rest of you I want you all to get a good night?s rest before tomorrow.?
?What why should I train alone?? Toggy asked in a pleading manner. Everyone left except for Alex, Taikaru, and Toggy.
?Well Toggy I think it is time for you to learn a lesson from the start. I really don?t like obnoxious team mates. I think you would have a better chance with Hikari.
?Dang shot down by you eh. How about you got anything to say beautiful?? Toggy said looking at Alex. Alex was in shock for a second or two but regained ground fast.
?Why you?? Alex said a bit angry.
?Man tough ladies. See you later then.? Toggy said walking off.
?Looks like he?s going to be a handful eh Taikaru?...Taikaru?? Alex looked over to Taikaru. ?What?s the matter?? Alex asked as Taikaru looked off into space.
?What oh nothing. I?m going to go train for awhile. I have to see if my shadow melding still works. Firs things first I?m going to get to the training rooms using shadow melding. I?ll be at training room 3 if you want to come along.?
?Alright Taikaru see you there. I know I can?t get there before you if you shadow meld. I mean I?m only heal.?
?It is a great asset to us Alex. Glad to see you again.?
?Thank you Taikaru. I?ll get a head start then.?
?Alright you go on ahead.? Taikaru said and Alex left the room. Taikaru sat there for a moment looking at the picture of the sand vipers.
*Awful bunch of creatures aren?t they?*
?My my my after all this time of suppressing this feeling I can?t get Farel?s voice out of my head.? *sigh* Taikaru walked to the wall and melded into it creating a shadow that started moving fast down the hallways.

OOC: Alright guys here you all go. I got past events and there and everything. Sorry but it is too easy to play your character echoavalon. He?s got quite the personality. The chapters are just a bit of organization I can go by. I?ll be opening an underground soon enough.

She was alone. But that was a normal standard for Hikari. Sitting in the far back Hikari almost seemed to be part of the darkness her black hair slightly camoflauged with the dark wall. She sat in darkness for brief moment replaying her orders. She didn't care in the slightest, Nothing frightened her, and Sand Vipers...They were some nasty beasts Hikari had the joy of entertaining one of them before, something she would rather not do again. Leaning her head against the wall she overheard the conversation between the woman known as Taikaru and the Smartass Toggy. Her lips curled into snarl hearing how she was to "pair up with" that man. Sighing she pulled out a small cloth and began to clean the shiny metallic purple and silver metal of the Stinger. When the weapons barrel shone with the exact beauty Hikari was waiting for she heard her name over the intercom.

"Hikari this is Red...Traning Room 4 is open, Please rendezvous at this point in 10 minutes...Your partner is waiting."

Hikari got up from her seat and tied her long hair into a ponytail. She started walking towards the room in which she was adjacent to. Seeing a large hallway pointing in the direction of Traning room four Hikari cocked her head slightly. Deciding at least to get her enjoyment out of going to the room she did a barrel flip, slipping her foot onto the ground then sliding her palm in a circle as her body fell forwards. For her skill it was naturel, but she quickly shaked off the feeling of arrogance for now she was staring at the door. She could hear the computer sending data to someone, and how each time the user would get angry at the lack of skill the computers Ai was giving him. Hikari smiled, she would have to show this animal a whole different kind of species. She took her right hand and thrusted the door open. As soon as she entered, the computers sequence shut down. Hikari stood face to face was a rather handsome male but that was not her concern. Smiling she took off her jacket allowing a tight leather tank to be seen. It showed her curves, and they were exquisite. Her arms were seen with pale cream color and her eyes, both of them watched the male as if was a delectable prey. Underneathe her hair was two very small grey cat ears but to the naked eye they were hardly noticable. Hikari saw that the male was Toggy and he was definitley liking what he saw. Hikari knew that her demeanor would get his attention, within seconds her prized weapon was pulled the purple black nozzle staring at Toggy. Grinning Hikari said with an innocence masked with animality.

"Hello Partner..."

Tokoru starred at this black beauty for a moment and wondered what was flowing through her mind. He could feel this erie chill running through his bones. She was no stranger to death he thought. Noticing oddly shaped ears; he couldn't help, but chuckle. Though his looks had been damaged by his previous eye surgery this woman seemed interested in him. His eyes glazed down to the shiney metallic oddly colored item in her hands and realized she was pointing at him. "Hikari right?," he asked.

He definitely liked what he saw. He knew from rumor alone that she wasn't one to be trifled with, but he couldn't help himself. Tokoru wanted her. The body portrayed in front of him was nothing short of incredible and she would be his greatest 'conquest.'

"My my you are absolutely delicious, shall we start?" he asked as he pulled out his gun. "Stupid computer, next level, now!" "How about a challenge Hikki?" he asked arrogantly.

"If I win you sleep with me?"

Alexia sat in her room. Taikaru was back then. How many others had been frozen she wondered. Perhaps Taikaru thought she too had been frozen? but she wasn?t. She had been leading men and fighting these wars for twenty years? damn, twenty years.

Lex stood and went to the mirror, pulling her thick red hair back from her face and looked at herself. No scars, hardly any age lines. 34. That?s what she had told everyone, but it obviously wasn?t true, if anyone took the time to do the math? 42?

She left the room, wrapping her hands in cloth and walking into one of the training rooms. She leaned against the door, quietly unnoticed by the two occupants.

"?If I win you sleep with me?"

Lex shook her head a silently left the training room. She walked down the corridor to another room, this one empty. She walked to a kickboxing bag and started in, kicking and punching. Her reflexes had become nearly cat-like over the years, and she knew that would be one of her strongest assets against these things. She had fought them before? and barely survived. She was one of five survivors from that attack, and less than that number of snakes had gotten away. For twenty years she had been in training as far as she was concerned. Other generals had taken advantage of their status and grown lazy, confident in the skills they already possessed. Lex however knew the body could continue to be pushed farther and farther. You could always get better, that was the beauty of it.

She kicked the bag hard and paused, taking a swig of water. Lex leaned against the wall and fingered the copper colored coin that hung around her neck. She wondered if these kids in their twenties fully appreciated that. She wondered how many of them would die this time around?

Leon laid on his hard mattress, staring at the ceiling. It seemed that the people he was working with are going to be half quiet/crazy and half that don't know what there getting themselfs into. No, he never dealt 'species' like this, but he has been in alot of life-threatening situations. He sighed and stood up, scanning the very compact room. Leon sled off the edge and left his room to check out the place. He took a left and found training rooms, that already were going crazy. Two members of the team were just talking, nothing that would get them stronger. The next room had the woman they called Alex in it. She was in deep thoughts, staring at a copper coin.

"Hello." He said as he slipped into the room. Alex looked up from her gaze, alittle startled. "I didn't wanted to disturb the other two in the first room." He reached over as they shook hands. She had a fine athletic body and deep in her eyes showed strength. Studying all your life helps you big time.

"Not at all, what's your name?" She asked as Leon tightened his black gloves, staring dead-red at the kick-boxing bag. It seemed at the meeting, that everyone didn't have the time to exchange their names.

"My name is Leon Easton, age 26. Master in the martial arts and controlling chi." He answered as took his left leg and placed it behind him. He bent down to a 90 degrees as he focused on the bag.

"Controlling Chi?" He pulled back his left arm and formed a fist. 50 percent will be good for a demonstration. He gathered his chi from his body and let his fist fly. His knuckles connected with the bag as it was unleashed from it's iron chains from above. It torpedoed in mid air and smacked right into the wall. The bag slide off as a crack was made in the wall. sand was pouring out of the spot he had hit.

"I can summon my whole body energy and use it in one spot." He turned to Alex, who was wide eyed and was taking a sip of her water at the same time. It was odd for him to show off, but he was bored. "Now, judging you know the people that work here so well, you have been doing this.... Sort of a job for awhile. How strong are these things really?" He whispered calmly as he laid his back against the wall, folding his arms. It was his time to listen.

Taikaru blended in with the wall for a short time. She knew the halls well enough to get around. When she came out of traveling through the use of shadow melding she noticed Alex was already there. *Well beat me here.* Taikaru thought. Before Taikaru could go over by Alex a member approached her. He talked about things such as age. She paid real attention to the last statement he said.
"Now, judging you know the people that work here so well, you have been doing this.... Sort of a job for awhile. How strong are these things really?" Taikaru walked over by the two.
?If you really want to know why not ask me? I?ve came upon these creatures more than Alex. But I guess she could give you details of our last mission.?
?Oh Taikaru. No you go ahead. I?ll sit here and drink my water before getting to training.?
?Alright then how strong are these things?? Leon asked.
?These things are actually quite amazing as far as intelligence goes. It seems that they almost have the brain and thinking power of humans. I?ve encountered sand vipers, vampires, werewolves, zombies, gargoyles, etc? I urge you not to pick a fight with a sand viper. Those things that have almost an instant killing bite. Recollecting my knowledge on vampires and werewolves they had a civil war in London.?
?So I see. They do have fights with in their own species.?
?Yes they seem to usually fight over who controls what land. Yet I?ve only heard of vampires and werewolves talking. They are the only ones that I?ve actually talked to. They are crafty and over the years of hiding and staying out of the way it seems that these creatures could be even more intelligent.?
?So in other words you?re saying that these are like dealing with intense human intelligence.?
?Yes it seems they can cope with any situation. They were quite powerful back then and they will be even more powerful now. So why don?t we head in and train up??
?Good idea.? Alex said finishing up her water. ?I?ll get things started up.? Alex went in and Leon followed along with Taikaru. Inside was absolutely dark. A few controls and Alex lit up the room. It was a big dome like structure.
?So these are the training areas. It is bigger than I thought.?
?Actually this is quite small compared to room four and five.? Alex said powering up the AI. ?I?ll start us off with some target practice.? Alex clicked one button and some targets popped up around the room. Taikaru pulled out her pistols and started firing at a few moving targets. She knocked out four for five targets.
?I?m a little sluggish. I?m still trying to get my vision still from unfreezing.? Leon tried next using his chi to knock out two stationary targets and three moving.
?Hmmm chi rather effective.? Taikaru said observing the targets being destroyed as he put his fists out. ?Even if you use chi you still deplete your energy. Not so effective if you?re going on a stealth mission but highly effective against hordes of zombies.?
?I intend not to drain my power so quickly on this mission.? Leon said thinking if Taikaru was belittling his powers or not.
?Alright guys time for holograms of the creatures. I will start us off with the vipers from twenty years ago.? Alex flicked a switch and the holograms were turned on. A few options were scrolled through and finally the vipers appeared. ?These are holograms but if you do get hit by them the chamber will generate a shock to hurt you.? The vipers came closer and Taikaru got to work. She melded into the ground while Leon was preparing for a fight.
?Alright Taikaru we?ll take them out one by-Taikaru?? Leon looked back and there was no Taikaru. ?Looks like I?m on my own for the vipers.? Leon said readying his chi.
?No you aren?t? Taikaru said coming out of the shadows of the ceiling. She looked almost demonic charging at the vipers. She slashed through one using her dagger and slashed up another pretty bad with a materialized sharp whip out of the shadows. The last viper left was taken out with a good swift punch.
?What was that?? Leon asked seeing the holographic images disappearing.
?That is the art of shadow melding. I can either blend into the shadows or create weaponry out of it. Unfortunately each time I have to kill something it drains my power depending on how strong the weapons are.? Taikaru said while walking back from the middle of the training room. ?So any more questions?? Taikaru asked.
?No you proved enough.? Leon said while Alex set the next setting.
?This you will need me for. These are going to be vampires with the applied knowledge over time.? Alex said setting the settings. After she hit a button on the controls she backed away from them as fifteen vampires came out of the space in the room. ?I should warn you that these vampires now kill their victims first then drink their blood.?
?That?s good to know.? Taikaru said as the vampires came at them. Alex started jumping and dodging like a true professional while Leon started to punch them out. Taikaru took out her blade again and went for shadow melding. Coming out of various areas she got a good five of them. Leon took out six while Alex took out four. ?Not so bad.? Taikaru said.
?True but you won?t have anywhere to come out of so you won?t be able to retreat when you shadow meld.?
?Ya a few of them slashed my face pretty bad. Got a nasty shock.? Taikaru said rubbing her face.
?Here let me fix that.? Alex said holding our her hands to Taikaru?s head. In a few seconds Taikaru didn?t feel as stunned.
?Thanks Alex.?
?No problem. But I think that is enough training. It took us awhile to take out the vampires.? Alex said shutting down the system. Taikaru, Leon, and Alex didn?t realize they had started to perspire so much until they checked.
?I guess shadow melding will take a lot out of me.? Taikaru said leaning against the wall for a second. ?You guys go on ahead I?ll go and keep training for a bit here.? Taikaru said as they headed towards the door.
?Alright see you tomorrow.? Alex said as she left through the door. Taikaru was left alone in the training room.
?Alex has grown. I can see that she has matured. She doesn?t look 42 though.? Taikaru sat by the controls a moment. ?It has been awhile since I faced off against one of these monsters. I remember the virus that I got well. First one to tell me was Mr. Netishima. I wonder how he has been doing. In fact I should contact him.? Taikaru looked at the controls and turned off the system. She left the room and headed for her quarters. She passed training room 4. Even if it was a big room she heard the sounds of shouting and anger in there. ?I wonder what they are shouting about?? Taikaru walked on and went passed a few other rooms in a hallway. At the end was a room marked with her name. She went through the door and found her stuff that was taken and held in the cryogenics chamber until her return. ?Where is it?? Taikaru said while shuffling through her things. She finally found what she was looking for. She sat down on her bed with her video intercom and contacted the number. There was a slight sound of the ringing but it was finally picked up.
?Hello? Whose this?? A unfamiliar voice called. Suddenly the video feed had a younger man in front of it.
?This is Taikaru. I?m a friend of Mr. Netishima.?
?Oh yes Mr. Netishima. I?ll grab him in fact he is coming this way.? The younger man went off the screen for a bit and an older, more familiar voice, was in the background.
?What is it now Nathan?? Then she heard small whispers and on the video feed an old version of Mr. Netishima popped up.
?Taikaru it has been twenty years how has it been?? He said with a happy face.
?Well I?ve been cold for awhile. I just came out a few hours ago. You still work there even now.?
?Yep the Mars Research Center HQ gave me an assistant. Don?t mind him he has just began here. So what are you doing now??
?I?ve been given a mission filled with vipers. I need the current stats on the vipers right now.?
?Oh yes those things have gotten a lot stronger. Here I?m sending stats over now.? The information scrolled across the screen. She read it quickly and got back to the doc. ?Well I need some rest for my mission. I?ll have to go now.?
?Alright Taikaru. Call any time.? Netishima closed the video feed and the video intercom went silent. She set it down and sat on the bed for awhile. Taikaru stared off into the room looking around.
?Tomorrow we will be going on our first mission for twenty years. I think I will take a walk.? As she got up Taikaru noticed the digital clocked read 8:30pm. ?Nothing better than a night time stroll.? Taikaru got up and walked towards the door. Down the hall she heard the voices of others so she went and shadow melded again even though she used it a lot already.

Her powers were almost diminished when she reached the elevator to ground level. She stepped in and went up to the ground level. The doors opened and she looked around. The city was just as it was twenty years ago. She walked around the building and came to a huge public area. There were many people walking the streets and Taikaru went and joined them. She went by a few stories and even a hotel that she recognized. Yet, when she seen the hotel filled here eyes with tears again. She held them back the best of her ability.

After walking around for a bit she came back to the building her team mates were located at. She came to the door and opened the door quietly. She turned the corner to the elevator where she saw Hikari. ?So you couldn?t stay either.?
?Just keep on walking. I?ve got some problems to deal with.? Taikaru nodded but wasn?t settled.
?I used to know someone like you but it is not my place to judge your attitude.? Taikaru said as she went down in the elevator. She walked from the elevator down a few long corridors. It felt so lonely down here but she knew she would soon find friends. ?It was never like me to accept people so much. I guess I was taught otherwise when I met Farel.? Taikaru said while she was walking down the last corridor. ?I?ve never believed in working as a team nor as a functional one. I guess I was just proved wrong and I?m happy for it.? Taikaru went into her bedroom where she sat down on her bed. She laid down and didn?t fall asleep. It was getting late. The clock read 10:59pm. ?Why am I in such deep thought? What is in the past stays in the past.? Taikaru rolled over and still tried getting to sleep. ?I last saw him when I was beginning to get frozen.? Taikaru said.

OOC: A little action from the past. If you guys still haven?t read any of the story before here a rundown. The base we are located at is underground and we are in New York. The first mission was in London battling vampires and werewolves. Sand vipers are extremely intelligent and will travel in packs. Finally zombies travel in hordes not as single lone zombies.

Kain walked through the halls, after the sun set was when he felt strongest. The darkness was his home, in a sense. A meek man behind him, he was Kain's translator, hardly anyone understood sign so he required this man to help him when they didn't understand. He passed by training room four where two team mates were training hard, he was walking towards training room 5 when two guards stopped him.

"Halt Kain. You should be back in your room dog!" Most of the guards held a personal prejudice since he is one of the beats they hunted. He rolled his eyes and started to sign his response, the meek man speaking aloud, his voice was low.

"You need to get out of my way. We are going after sand vipers tomorrow." The guards faces remained rock hard.

"So? It would be better if you didn't comeback!" Kain was getting irritated, he signed again, the translator speaking harder and a bit louder.

"Listen asshole, I have fought these things before. I need to learn their new tactics or else Red will hear how you refused to let me train because your brother died while on a mission with me. It was not my fualt, he had no control and ran head first into the gargoyle nest. They defended themselves, if you are going to blame anyone." Kain paused, then continued.

"Blame yourself, for training him poorly." The guard was ready to punch Kain in the face, the guard was far bigger then Kain and stood at the same height as he did. The guard drew back his arm, ready to lay out Kain. The guards partner grabbed his wrists, preventing him from doing anything.

Kain waited a few more moments, then pushed past them, his translator stayed behind. Kain walked ot the control panel and started tapping buttons, searching for Sand vipers. He found them and decied to add images of other agents, he wanted to watch how agents fought them. See how where their mistakes were or how their stratigey was flawless. A battle playing before him, the agents fighting well agaisnt the vipers. Only one was familiar to him, Taikaru, it was her and her old team fighting off the vipers.

'What better way to learn to tactics then by using a team who was very skilled.' Kain thought to himself as the images played out, he looked down at the concel and updated the Sand vipers to current fighting skills. They moved much swifter, fought much harder and appeared to be far stronger. He had to update Taikaru to current time to see her fight them efficently. The others he had to watch die, they seemed not strong enough to stand against the 20 years aged vipers.

'Well thats not good. Mabye I should try first hand now.' He hit more buttons and the agents disappeared, the vipers attention turning to him. He pulled off his gloves and his shirt, he watched them and concentrated. Then, his bones started to crack and grow, shifting in size and where they were placed.

Fur growing all over his body, head to toe. His face extending into a muzzle with large, sharp teeth gleaming pure white. A tail sprouting from the end of his spine, claws growing to wicked points and gruesome length. His whole body shifted into his werewolf form, he drew back his muzzle to show his teeth. He lunged at the creatuers, grabbing one out of 6 sand vipers.

He ripped it apart, tearing off its head. He then went after the others, slashing open a viper that was in his way. He grabbed another and swung him around, smashing it against the wall. He turned right as a viper was going for his head, he grabbed the upper and lower jaws and pushed them back. He wormed it into a good position, slowly pushing it so that the snakes body had to fold backwards. He then pushed down so hard and fast that the laws snapped backwards, he then tore them off of the snakes face.

He only needed two more before the simulation would end, he went after one when the other one snapped its jaws on his leg, the shock going through his body. He twitched, tore the snake off and snapped its neck. He went ater the last one and jammed it clawed hands right into its chest, he took his other hand and jammed it in as well.

He spread them apart and split the snake in-half right down the middle. The lights came back on and Kain changed back, his bones cracking once again, putting his shirt and gloves back on. He turned to the door and saw Red standing in the door.

"You would have been dead already." Kain signed his response, Red understood sign and spoke it aloud.

"I know, I just needed to get a bit of training in. Better I get bit in here then out there. I can at least see what my mistake was so I can watch out for it when the time comes." Red smiled, he checked his watch and saw it was 1:27 a.m. He looked back to Kain.

"Well you better get to sleep. Gonna need it to fight these monsters." Kain nodded and left quickly, heading for the room with his name on it. He entered and stripped down to his boxers. He sat on his bed and rubbed his head, he pulled back his covers and crawled into bed. He pulled them back up and closed his eyes, falling asleep instantly.

Lamia stood in a perfect silence, he was unsure of those that surrounded him and he was not going to move til he was sure. He enterd an empty training room and took to practicing. He reached for his back pocket and drew his lighter. It was a golden zippo, he snapped the lid open and shut over and over again. Then with one quick snap the flame jumped from it. The small crystal on his chest glowed red as the flame grew larger and as it danced his red eyes glowed like traffic lights.

Soon flame consumed him and were running down his hair to and legs and every inch of his body. He looked like a demon in the mirror, like something spit out of hell. It was obvious why most people averted themselves from him. His eyes were red and he carried the mark of the diablo on his chest. His body emitted a pure, seething fire, that felt like pure hate.

He then drew his berreta pistol and held it in hand. The gun slowly turned to a vibrant red as the metal heated. He set the gun before him as the flame gatherd at the point of the barrel. But as the flame became more concentrated, it became, not red, but a dark black. Like hell had spilled over and was pooling through his feet. And with a surge of heat and flash of light, the flame was gone. It had simply vanished, the room wasn't even hot anymore. It had been as if it had never happend.

Lamia was demon, and he knew it. Some hated him, and those who didn't, feared him. They did this with just cause, for he was the spawn of hell. He called on fire and it was like his tool. He had his cursed eyes and that damnable mark on his chest. This was the reason they had forsaken him.

Lamia turned to the door and stared on as if he expected someone to come through, but no would. No one would come to him. He was one of there team, but not because they liked him, or even because they trusted him. He was there tool, like the fire was to him. They would use him up, and when he was all used up they would lock him away into storage or just throw him away. Either way, it gave his life meaning, so he didn't argue with it.

Lamia layed off against the wall, sitting on the end of his white hair. He continued to look on to the door, like they were coming for him right now. Like if he turned away, he would be attacked by the unseen forces he feared were after him.

Sorry for the shortness and lack of action its early days
-----------------------
Kahn made his way through the halls of the facility with his hands in his pockets. He found the sleeping quarters easily enough. He felt restless; perhaps it was because he was surrounded by things that reminded him of his old military days. Whatever it was he didn?t like it so he decided to go for a walk around the facility.

Kahn passed many rooms on his wandering; he passed by the training rooms and watched each of their occupants. He noticed that a lot of things in this facility were made of or contained metal, which would work to his advantage. Drawing a small piece of metal from his surroundings he played with it as he walked. Kahn arrived upon a room that was occupied by one of the people he had noticed earlier in the briefing room. Kahn noticed him mostly because he had long white hair.

He watched as the man lit up the room with an intense fire, it subsided as quickly as it came. Walking away from the man he turned to go back to the living quarters. He passed a door with the name ?Taikaru? on the door.

Remembering the female from the briefing room Kahn manipulated the metal still in his hand into the shape of a mythical beast known as a griffin. He placed the metal creature in front of her door and left to find his quarters. Reading the other signs he found that his room was next to one of the other team members named Kain. Entering his room he flopped down on one of the beds and felll asleep.

Taikaru sat on her bed and thought for awhile. She thought about Farel and the past. But she really never wanted to think about the past that much. So she tried to adjust her mind to other things. First she looked through her head and came across the training she had just a bit ago. ?Oh ya how could I forget about that? I had to stretch out and it turns out that I killed five of them. Yet when I saw Alex join in she killed them like she was a pro. If she hadn?t jumped in late she could have taken out half of them by herself. I really need to train up but first my mission. If stealth is how we are going to accomplish the next mission how are we going to go about getting past the sand vipers?? Taikaru pondered in her head for a moment. She realized that they could sense you walking on the ground and would kill you easily by ground assault. ?What to do though? I?ve no idea what the new vipers are like but I will get the hang of them.? Taikaru laid down on her bed silent for a moment until she a footsteps and the clink of metal on the floor. Taikaru got up slowly and walked towards the door. She opened it to see a perfect metallic replica of a griffin. ?Huh? Very precise.? She looked up and down the halls but there wasn?t anybody there. She closed the door and went back into her room. Reading the clock it was already 2:10 in the morning. ?I really need some sleep.? Taikaru laid her head down and began to fall asleep.

-Next morning

The sound of her alarm buzzed only for a few short seconds before Taikaru turned it off. She got up with her hair all a mess and washed up in the bathroom. She got into the shower and took a quick one at that prepared for the mission in a few hours. She groomed her hair and fastened on her ?work? clothes. Zipping up her black leather suit she looked in the mirror for anything else and bolted out. She opened her door quietly to not awake any other team mates who haven?t woken up. Reading her clock one last time before she left it read 8:07am. Taikaru walked down the hallway of their quarters and turned to the left. Down that hall there was an open door with the label over it that read ?Mess Hall?. Taikaru walked in and got some breakfast. She grabbed an egg, some toast, and milk and sat over on one of the tables placed throughout the room. Nobody else was up but Taikaru did realize it was 8:10. She kept repeating in her head that the mission would start at noon. She kept this in mind because she had till noon to get information on sand vipers. *With the information Netishima gave me on these new brand of vipers I think nobody else than Alex would know about them. I wonder why Red choose me to be team leader and not her. It seems illogical but what Red says doesn?t matter. I will hand over my position to someone with more qualification than me. After all what does team leader matter. She knows more about the new and improved creatures than any of us.* Taikaru thought to herself as she ate her breakfast. Soon enough a few members straggled by but none were Alex. Taikaru got up and strayed down the hallway she just came through towards the training rooms. There she went into training room three and turned on the settings from the control panel. She turned off the electric field but kept on the termination protocol if you get hit lethally. ?Alright how tough are you?? Taikaru said as she generated two vipers with modern intelligence. It took a look at her and quickly went under ground. In a few seconds the viper was right underneath her and it struck. Taikaru staggered but managed to jump sloppily over to the left. There the viper turned course and the program terminated. A computer voice called out ?You have just been eliminated.? Taikaru restarted the program with one viper, noticing it took only one to defeat her. She turned it on and only one generated in front of her. Again it went under ground and struck from beneath. She jumped to the left this time attaching to the wall using her shadow melding. The viper struck again with supreme accuracy but Taikaru nearly was hit. She managed to jump to her feet on the floor behind the viper. The viper then circled around her giving her an almost impossible retreat. The viper struck and Taikaru dodged again but now she was beginning to run low on energy. She could feel the intensity of the fight growing. With it?s head still buried in its body it went under ground again. This time Taikaru jumped but the viper came from the wall where she jumped to. Once again the program was terminated and the computer said ?You have just been eliminated.?
?These things are extremely adaptable to their environment and the movements of their enemies. If this is just one viper what would a whole pack do?? Taikaru shivered at the thought and turned on the program again. This time she was aiming for a full assault. She materialized a razor sharp whip and was ready for the snake. The viper then came through the wall to her left and lunged for Taikaru. Taikaru tried to make a snap at the snake but it had once again went under before she could get the neck with the whip. The snake came out from beneath her this time. She nimbly jumped out of the way and hooked the end of the viper slicing of the tail end. ?That will do no good. I need faster reaction time!? Taikaru said as the viper came out of the ground in front of her. It lunged for her but this time Taikaru managed the whip around the neck and sliced it right off with one good pull. The program ended and the computer was set back to normal status. ?I will have some trouble with these things.? Taikaru took one last look back at the room and left.

OOC: This is mostly just Taikaru so you can go ahead and get all caught up before the mission. I won?t start it until all of you are caught up and ready for it.

Lamia had slept very little during the night, he hardly ever slept period. Like he was afraid to or something. He marched out of his room, he headed straight for the mess hall. The girl from the debriefing the night before was already there, and looked to Lamia as though she were a disappointed to see him. He was neither offended or even took very much notice of this and simply got his breakfast and sat silently for a while. He had two eggs with some toast and a glass of milk. He slowly ate his food like he had a strategy to it. He always kept arm on the table and picked up a single small piece at a time.

Once he finished he left and found the same girl from before training against the viper program in one of the simulators. Lamia took to the adjacent one and decided to do the same. He geared himself for combat, he dawned a black leather jacket and black denim pants. He pushed his hair back, leaving only the red and green stains in his hair hanging at his forehead. An electronic voice filled the room "Simulation will commence in 15 seconds."

Lamia closed his eyes and set his hand on his berreta. A buzz like power lines filled the room. He looked up to see a lone viper standing before him as the electronic voice reappeared "Simulation commencing."

The viper immidiatly took to the ground and burrowed furiously beneath the simulated earth. Lamia stood perfectly still, he could hear the digging of the creature under the ground. When it suddenly came to a stop Lamia's eyes shot open and his feet burst off with flame like rockets igniting. He launched to the ceiling of the sim room. The Viper hurled itself out of the ground to swing for where Lamia had been standing only moments before. Lamia drew his pistol and pointed it for the beast, the tip was glowing with the dark light of the black flame. The room grew cold to the point of freezing, as all heat was drawn to that single point. The darkness was replaced with a white flash. The room quickly returned to normal, as the electronic voice returned yet again "Simulation ended. Target: Eliminated"

After the room retuned to normal, one could take notice that the walls of the sim room were strangely changed. They had been obiviously melted, but were also coverd in ice. Like the room had reached unspeakable heat and sub-zero tempratures in an instant. Lamia turned to leave, his legs wiggled a bit as he left. In a simple simulation he had used almost all his energy, now all that was left to do was to wait and relax til mission time in only 2 and a half hours.

Lamia sat back down in the corner of the simulator and kept to himself, not returning to his room and not running anymore training.

Kain rolled over on his bed when he heard a knock on the door, he sat up with his eyes still half shut and his hair in a mess.

'Who in blood hell is waking me up?' Kain thought to himself as he started to look for a clock, he found his digital alarm clock and founf it said 10:30 on the dot. His head dropped in an "god dammit" manner. He got out of his bed and put on his pants, he walked to the door and looked to see who it was.

The sudden light flooding into his room casued him to cover his eyes, after he adjusted to the light he saw it was his translator. Kain signed him, asking what he wanted. The man responded meekly as usual.

"You need to get ready and some food before we can leave." Kain started to rub his neck then quickly turned his head. A poping noise followed and echoed lightly, the meek man had a bit of disgust on his face. The man left and Kain was left standing in his doorway alone.

He thought for a moment that mabye he should put his shirt back on, but he went against that. He was coming back anyways, so he left his room. Missing his shoes, socks, and his shirt. His hair still looked slept on. He walked to the mess hall noticing most of the team already their, some looked at him oddly, others didn't care.

He grabbed a tray and just piled food on, moving quickly and taking food. He ended up with 12 pancakes, 7 pieces of toast, 6 eggs and one glass of milk and one glass of whiskey. He sat down and started digging into his food, using a fork anf knife he tore into his breakfast.

Being a lycanthropy did require you eat a lot after you change, the change made your metabolism burn faster. So Kain continued to eat, taking sips of his milk and occasional the whiskey. Ignoring the world around him.

Hikari checked her watch. Her eyes narrowed when she realized she had been in combat with this fool of a man for far to long. Releasing her gun, Hikari backflipped and landed on her right hand. She pivoted on her palm and used her free left hand to shoot the Simulation. The electronic voice emanted over the room. "Simulation Complete Request Another?" Hikari denied and hopped back up to her two legs. She smiled breifly but it was cold and filled with an absence of emotion.

"I won Tokuru, seems you shall be alone tonight"

Hikari sighed and placed her weaponary back on the holsters leaving the room abruptly. She walked by a few on the training rooms and saw a room with the name "Taikaru" placed above the door. Shaking her head she wandered past the room and shivered. Something bad was happening and she could't tell when or where.
She noted that she was near the Mess hall and picked up her pace. She had fought in that room with Toggy at little bit longer than she wanted to. And somehow he had managed to stay on par with her. She walked into the large mess hall and picked out a glass of milk. Straying to the far back she stayed to her self the small grey cat ears twitching. Her eyes narrowed and she supressed a growl. It was almost instinct when she caught sight of the man called "Kain". She could not reason why such an attraction as well as hatred resided withing her but that was no matter. She would wait, eventually they would call for battle and then..she would feel normal again.

"Damn how I hate this shit.." She whispered and ate a little piece of tuna she pulled from her pocket as she stared off into space.

OOC: Sorry about the short of posts and the non frequency of replies...

Lex sat cross-legged on the floor of her room and listened to the others waking and walking in the halls toward food or practice. It was a familiar and constant routine. She stretched herself from her meditation and padded out toward the mess hall.

Her entrance caused its usual stir of whistles and catcalls from some of the soldiers. She laughed and smacked a couple of them over the head and went to get her food. She didn?t mind the teasing, in fact she enjoyed it. Those were her men, they had served under her command before, some more than once, and their flirtations were a sign of camaraderie rather than disrespect. This was their time. The time before the battle, before the bloodshed and possible death. A time to relax, even if just for a moment.

Lex grabbed some fruit and a bagel and joined a group of fighters at a back table. From there she could see the room and observe the group she?d be fighting along side this mission. All so young. She had never understood it, but it had always been Red?s way. He had a habit of forming teams of those in their twenties to take on the most dangerous missions, and it had never made sense. When she had started she had liked it, after all, she had been in her late teens. By 25 she was a general and sent to work with the team; the team that took on the most dangerous missions. It was just Red?s way. She?d probably never fully understand it.

The men at her table started up a game of cards, which she happily joined in. Besides, it was her time to have some fun before the battle too.

As the training grew longer Tokoru had gotten more and more tired. He wasn't going to be able to keep up with this chick much longer. Finally, he just stopped and gave up. His plaything hopped around and shot the final target and the simulation ended. She shrugged her shoulders and left. Tokoru stood in the room trying to catch his breath. He felt fat. No woman could ever best him in battle and it suddenly dawned on him that the days of flings were over and he would have to run faster or die.
He left the room and walked down the hall. He left the compound and found the nearest bar. He needed a drink and to be around people not these biorobotic soldiers from Hell. The women were deadly and beautiful and the men were quiet and judgemental. He could feel his skin crawl. He liked Hikari but she needed personality. He drank for a couple of hours and hunkered back to the compound to sleep off the drinks.

9:30 p.m...., he thought, damn I need sleep.

Kahn rose early in the morning as he always did but did not venture out side his room un till he heard others moving about.
He made his way to the mess, as he walked through the doors he saw that most of his team were already there. Kahn still didn't know any of them.
As he made his way to the food he saw a man eating hungrily with a hell of a lot of food. Shaking his head he moved towards the coffee and took a cup along with some toast. He noticed a girl with cat ears and decided to utter a "Hello"
She smiled and nodded a hello back.

Moving off to find a seat he noticed a rather attractive woman playing cards with some fighters, pulling up a seat Kahn looked around the unfamiliar faces.

"Mind if I join?" they nodded a yes, most of them were probably thinking it was a nice chance for some fresh meat.
?I?m Kahn, but friends call me Sev?? he extended his metal hand to the female, she shook it and nodded.
?I?m Lex? Kahn smiled at her and turned to watched one of the very young looking men to him deal the cards.
?What are we playing then?? Compared to these ?boys?, Kahn felt rather old being almost 40 and showing every bit of it. Some of them eyed him strangely especially because of his metal covered arm.

Taikaru came out of the training room and looked up and down the hall. The training rooms were vacant except for one. Taikaru just shrugged and moved on. Out in the hallway she passed Red?s office. ?Maybe I should go and visit Red. But later I got some things to do.? Taikaru walked on to the armory. There she took a few clips for her ammo and a slate to sharpen her blade. After that she went to her room preparing her necessary equipment. She sharpened her blade making a resonating sound like something out of a horror movie. She sharpened and sharpened until it couldn?t be sharpened any more. She put the blade lightly to her finger drawing blood. She cleaned it off and started to set up her clips. She renewed the clips in the guns and put some around a belt that she found. A few spare other spare things were put in there as well. The technology had advanced enough to at least make things smaller. She put in a few pieces of food like tablets. It provided the natural body energy needed but it had no taste to it. After packing that stuff away she went over to the bathroom to wash her face from the training. She managed to get one viper down but she was willing for more. She didn?t want to waste too much energy on the simulation but the simulation was still hard enough. Taikaru looked into the mirror and started to fix herself up to get ready to help in Australia. While Taikaru looked into the mirror she looked slightly older than she did the last time. Her hair was a bit longer and her physical stature had grown a bit. ?I guess cryogenics haven?t been fully developed.? Taikaru said to herself as she noticed these features. She walked out the door with her belt and everything on and saw Alex walk down another hallway. ?Hey Alex!? Taikaru said trying to hold her up. Alex stopped and looked back and Taikaru walked to her.
?Yes Taikaru?? Alex asked looking almost in a rush. Taikaru stood there briefly wondering why she was walking that fast but it was none of her concern.
?I?ve been meaning to ask you. Would you rather feel better taking the team leader job than me?? Taikaru asked looking at herself and her abilities in the future now.
?Taikaru remember team leader doesn?t mean much. Let?s just put it as a tactical supervisor. Although I?m better trained than you, in any case I will allow you to gain some experience in fighting these newer monsters. I?ll give you some pointers to start out with. Don?t go rushing in at all take a safer route if available. Don?t sacrifice team members to a cause that will end in failure. You know the basic stuff that you would learn anywhere.? Alex said reassuringly. ?Anyway got to go see you later.? Alex said waving as she left down the hall. Taikaru thought it over for awhile and sitting there in the hall she realized that she did need experience and pointers.
?Thanks Alex.? Taikaru said quietly heading off to the hanger.

-Hanger 11:00 a.m.

It was one hour from taking off in the jet Taikaru looked at. A few other guards were putting equipment on the plane in case of back up. A clip board hung in a man?s hand by the cargo bay on the jet. ?Hey!? Taikaru said over the loud thudding noises as she walked over to the man in charge. ?How are things coming along here?? Taikaru asked trying to get a peek at the clipboard.
?We will be done in about thirty more minutes. Miss Taikaru is it??
?Yes.?
?I would advise you to check the cock pit and passenger area for any abnormalities. The only thing this jet has been modified by is a new jet propulsion system. It is an old jet. I don?t know why Red still keeps it.? The man said rambling on about Red. After Taikaru walked away the shouts of him could be heard to the workers. Taikaru walked up the stairs into the passenger area. She checked out the drop area first. The hinges were secure and the parachutes were in place. These parachutes weren?t just cloth or anything. These parachutes allowed a fast enough fall but a soft landing. Taikaru looked then at the seats and the things in the passenger area. You couldn?t tell it was a jet with the place looking like a living room. Through a metallic door she came to the cock pit. Observing the dials and the chairs she saw a few things flashing but nothing that shouldn?t be. Taikaru observed everything she could before stepping out of the jet. ?How are things up there?? The man shouted as she appeared in the door.
?Everything is alright and ready to go.? Taikaru stepped down and left the hanger. She walked back to the mess hall. Everyone had finished their breakfast but there were still members playing cards. She calmly backed out and looked for the others. Alex was nowhere to be found but Lamia was still training. Taikaru wandered the halls anxious for the mission and decided to wait it out in her room. She got back to her room and picked up only a revitalization vial. This was a quick, easy, and hard to refine medicine that was able to rejuvenate anyone in severe danger. She only had one and was hoping never to use it. She looked at the clock. It now read 11:50 a.m. ?I?ll head down to the hanger. I?m sure Red will tell them to meet there.? Just as Taikaru was done saying those words Red came over on the pa system.
?Everyone report to the hanger. Take off will begin in ten minutes.? Taikaru gave a shrug and headed down there using shadow melding to speed her travel. She melded into the wall and the next thing she saw was the hanger. She was a bit drained but she would defiantly heal on her way to Australia. Members started coming in. First was Lamia and then came an entire group she couldn?t specify each individual. And finally Alex.
?Ok everyone let?s get ready.? Taikaru said. ?We have our equipment and everything else. Good.?

OOC: Alright everyone catch up to this point and we can finally take off.

 • 2 weeks later...
Kain finished off his meal and wiped his mouth clean with a napkin, he started to feel the chill of the facility air conditionining and realized he should get dressed and cleaned off. He stood up and cracked his neck, he looked around the mess hall to see his teammates.

A couple of them were playing cards with a small crew of men, the others were enjoying eachothers company or not present at the time. He moved from his seat and started walking to the hallway that lead to his room.

As he was leaving he bumped into the guard that had tried to stop him from training, the guard quickly shoved him and Kain stumbled forward. He turned his head to look at the men and snarled lightly at him, leting a small piece of his animal side take control and showing his teeth.

The guard stood up to him and stared at him, a mean look spreading across his face. Kain let his snarl drop and turned back to the door, he knew the guard wasn't worth it.

The guard, on the other hand, though knocking out Kain was well worth suspension. He went after Kain, grabbing his shoulder to turn him back around. Kain reacted to the touch very quickly, swiftly bringing his leg up and kicking the guards knee in, most certainly snapping it.

This forced the guard to wail and fall forward, right on top of Kain, from a viewers prospective, it looked like Kain would be squished under the mans sheer size.

But to anyone who was watching suprise, Kain lifted the guard up into the air and threw him on to a near by table, cracking the table in half. The guard groaned and tried to get up, but with little success.

Kain walked over to him and bent over to look him in the face, Kain gave him the simple middle finger and walked out the mess hall and down the hall to his room. He opened the door and immediatly moved to the bathroom in the back.

He turned the shower on and stepped into it, not caring that it was cold. He cleaned himself and his hair. He turned it off and dried off, first trying the traditional werewolf style by simple shaking his body voilently to get the water off. He remembered that didn't work and justed used a towel to get it all off.

He walked back into his room and put all his clothes on, he rolled his shoulders and sighed. He opened the door to his room once more and found his meek translator their. Kain smiled and signed "Good afternoon" to him. The man nodded.

"Good afternoon to you as well Kain, I hope you are ready." Kain nodded and stepped out into the cold hall. Him and the translator walked down the corridors until they reached the hanger, finding Taikaru waiting patiently.

As they entered the translator left Kain all alone, Kain stood in the very large hanger with Taikaru. Waiting for the others to get together and get here.

Guest Ran Hunter
"Oh man, I must have over slept" Ran said hopping out of his bed. "Todays my first real mission and I'm going to blow it." He said as he scatted across the room trying to get out of his sleeping wear.Ran rushed to the bathroom and combed his hair, washed his face and brushed his teeth."Maybe it's just me this tooth paste taste kinda different then the last time I used it"thinking to himself. In his rush to get ready he accidently used his acne lotion as tooth paste. Realizing the mistake he made, he gagged and spit the remaining lotion out of his mouth."I'm soo glad no one was here to see that" he said hanging his head low.

using mouth wash, he rinsed his mouth out and brushed his teeth once again this time with colgate.Ran walked to his closet and grabbed his clothes and dress himself.Shortly after, Ran grabbed his weapons from inside his nightstands top drawer and bolted down the hallway to mess hall.He didn't have much time to eat so he grab a muffin and a carton of apple juice and headed towards the hanger.Inside the hanger Ran saw two unfamiliar figures standing there waiting for the others. He walked over an old crate and sat on it."Hi my names Ran"He waved"Don't mind me,I'll just be stuffing my face" he said as he began to eat his breakfast.

?Alright we are going to take off here in a moment.? Taikaru said watching as one of the late member got in. He just gave a greeting as he was stuffing food into his mouth apologizing at the same time. Taikaru, a little disgusted, turned to the jet and got on. Everyone filed on to the plane. Two pilots also got on and started checking dials and things before take off. Everyone sat down and buckled in for the ride. As soon as they were all strapped in the plane started to kick up the engines. The buzzing outside was gradually getting louder as the jets powered up. The doors in the south west of the hanger opened and a ramp appeared. From there you could see the sunlight. Taikaru wasn?t too sure of herself as the pilots yelled back at them ?Prepare for lift off!? The pilots hit the controls and the plane burst out of the ramp and into the sky at a great speed. Taikaru was swung to the side. ?When was that feature put in.?? Taikaru said recuperating from the jolt. Alex looked over to her and gave a little thought before she said anything.
?It was put in about three years ago. Most government jets needed to be fast so they put in a jet that had some kick.? Alex looked back at the others and then stared off into the distance. Taikaru though had other plans. She was kind of looking forward to this mission because she hadn?t seen action for awhile. She looked at the other members and looked back in her lap. She didn?t realize she brought the mission specs with her but they were in her lap nonetheless. She opened up the folder and took a look at what satellite photos captured. She definitely saw that the vipers had adapted too their surroundings. You could barely see them on the photo. She kept shifting through the papers looking at every detail.
?Wait a moment.? Taikaru said quietly to herself. She looked a little bit further into the paper she just picked up. Another person was there able to reinforce at their drop point. Her name was Yuhi. She took a look at her profile a bit but set it down relieved there was going to be another member. Then she spotted another interesting thing. She looked at the photos and kept looking. She came across a photo that did have something she recognized. Rather someone than something. She couldn?t make out the figure but she could definitely feel that this person was someone she knew.

Guest Ran Hunter
wiping the crumbs from off his face, Ran smiled with satisfaction after utterly destroying the muffin."That was great, maybe I should have grab another one" he though to himself. Out of boredom,He wondered over towards Taikaru who was looking at some interesting pictures."those look pretty detailed"he smiled."you should announce yourself before approaching someone from behind" she replied."heh my bad"he smirked.

Looking around the jet, Ran approached a nearby window. He couldn't believe his eyes. The jet was passing over vast amount of scenery at breakneck speed."wow, this is my first time outside Newyork, wonder where we are going?" he whispered.Admiring the veiw,Ran began to break out in a cold sweat."Why's does it always have to be water!?"

Lex had gone through and packed her single bag, armed up and climbed on board the plane before anyone else. She had watched them gather on the blacktop. That one guy who had joined them at the card game seemed to be going with them. She was grateful for that. He was the only member of the team that appeared to be over 30. The plane loaded and then started the take off

"When was that feature put in.?? Taikaru said recuperating from the jolt. Lex looked over to her and gave a little thought before she said anything.

?It was put in about three years ago. Most government jets needed to be fast so they put in a jet that had some kick.?

Taikaru nodded and sat next to her and started looking over the files for the mission. Lex stared out the window for a moment.

?Wait a moment.? Taikaru mumbled and Alexia turned her attention back to her casually. She had pulled some pictures, probably members stationed elsewhere that they?d be meeting up with.

Lex looked over the pictures and her breath caught in her throat. She heard someone else come over and talk briefly with Taikaru, but she stared solely at the picture. She felt warm, as if bathed in sunlight...and in the back of her mind, she could hear the faint cords of a guitar ...

?Can I see those??

?Sure, here. I was thinking that person looked?familiar?

Lex nodded and whispered ?yeah, he would? it?s Eric??

Kahn entered his room and packed his bag, he rather enjoyed the card game. He gathered all that was needed and made his way to wards the jet. Without a word Kahn boarded the plane and took a seat, looking around at the others he felt very old in their presence.
Most of his other team mates were very young; pushing the thought of the matter to the back of his mind he gathered a small amount of metal from his arm. In his hand Kahn started to mould the metal, it was something he did in his spare time or when he became nervous. On this occasion he wasn?t nervous?just apprehensive.

He looked out the back of the jet as more people arrived, soon enough after everyone was there it took off. A few minutes passed and Kahn observed one of the younger members enter the cock pit and exchange words with the pilot. The woman he played cards with earlier?Lex he thought, was present. He assumed she must know the pilot well. Looking up at the others in the jet Kahn spied the man he watched earlier in the training room, the one adept with fire. Breaking his gaze Kahn looked back down at the metal moving as suspended metallic liquid in his left hand, it shifted into a replica of the jet they were flying in and then into an elephant.

He continued to play with the metal in his hand, this was feeling like a long flight to him and they weren?t even an hour in the air. His mind drifted back to his days in the army and his wife as he looked down at his feet, a sad look washed across his face as he drifted through his thoughts.

Yuhi glanced over her shoulder as a pack of lurks-- lesser vampires with minds only barely above those of jellyfish-- tore out of hiding to attack her.
No fear.
But this was not a strategic place to fight them, this alley. Their enhanced strength and speed made them dangerous in this enclosed space. She moved quickly, deliberately, confusing one of the lurks into biting his neighbor, traveled into an open space-- not sunlight, because there was no sunlight in these slums, but an open space where she could see where the lurks were.
No fear.
Her hands went to her belt, an oversized switchblade appearing in one, a small pistol in the other. The switchblade covered melee combat, for the lurks that were already too close. The gun was to ensure that the rest of them didn't get too close.
No fear.
"The sunlit places are your realm to own," the vampire said, looking simply like a more intelligent lurk, holding the girl's hands. "I belong to the dark places now." He reached to his heavy brown trenchcoat and drew out two small pistols, silvery with blue designs. "Use these to defend yourself," he said. "A vampire, a glorified lurk like myself, has no use for them anymore. A human girl will. You have to defend yourself-- from lurks, among other things. But no fear, okay, Yuhi?"
No fear.
"No fear," Yuhi said aloud, her switchblade neatly decapitating a lurk, her gun blasting another's head off into a spray of red.
No fear.
She decimated most of the pack before the rest of the lurks, sizing up their losses, fled.
No fear.

She stood before the wreck of a car, staring at the remains that had been left by homeless bums who took whatever they could find for their homes. A beautiful woman, wearing a short top and giant heavy pants. A weapon which identified the woman as a Slayer, one who fought vampires for her life.
Yuhi was not afraid. She was human. The Slayer had no business except with the vampires.
Something moved under the car, shifted in the wind.
A brown trenchcoat.
Yuhi's heart moved strangely inside her. She knew that coat.
"Father," she whispered.
Dead, dead and gone.
Most people would have been consumed by rage then, would have attacked the Slayer outright.
Yuhi didn't.
Father had told her he would be killed by a Slayer.
It was a vampire's lot in unlife.
He wore the face of the beast because he knew the laws of the wild and found them preferable to the treachery of "civilization". Kill or be killed. Fight or die.
But Yuhi's lot was with the humans.
"Did you kill him?" she asked the Slayer, picking up the coat and gently freeing it from the car wreckage.
"No. A girl... whose brother died at his hand... killed him. Was he... related to you... before he became a vampire?"
"Everybody was related to somebody before they became a vampire," Yuhi answered. "I never knew why Mother divorced him and took custody of me. Then she died, and I waited at her funeral for my Daddy to come back for me... but he never came. I realized he wouldn't. But I never cried. He had no sympathy for crybabies. My relatives thought I simply didn't understand that I'd never see my parents again. They thought I was dumb. Rutting morons."
"Your father," echoed the Slayer.
"It's okay," said Yuhi. "He told me to get on with my life as a human. Nothing left to cry about."
She walked away, shooting a lurk off the roof of a building and watching it plummet to its death. It had been eagerly watching her confrontation with the beautiful Slayer.
"What'd you think we were going to do, you poor horny bastard, have 'it' on the spot?"

It was time for work. She'd joined these people, now she was going to have a mission to fulfill with them.
She wouldn't let Father's death interfere.
No fear.
Yuhi sipped her coffee. Made a face. Added sugar. There were men and women here, and they didn't seem thrilled to realize that the teenager over there was also in their group.
She faded from their view. Not that she was invisible, their eyes simply passed over her without recognizing the significance of her presence.
No fear.
***
My first post. *blink blink* I wanted to start with a serious scene, so when I get weird and humorous and perverse later, you know Yuhi has a serious side.

OOC: sorry for the lateness on this one. I just had to get a few things together. Anyway?

The jet rocketed through the air as everyone was silent. Taikaru had put down the pictures and started to look out the window. The sky was a deep sea like blue with a bunch of clouds covering it below her. She got quite interested in this view until there was a command from the cockpit. ?We are going to be over the drop out point. Please prepare for dive.? They all got up and put on some parachutes. ?We are opening the doors now.? The back hatch opened as their equipment fell they jumped. The jet kept going above them at a tremendous speed while they fell with their things. After falling for about ten seconds they opened their parachutes. They could see a small military fort below them being ransacked by the creatures.

?Down there we will help them until we have stable ground. Then we will go for the main airport terminal where they keep their headquarters!? Taikaru yelled as they fell and over the shots being fired below. They were one thousand feet from the ground and dropping steadily.

?Taikaru I will take the North end and I?ll meet up with you afterwards.? Alex said as there was a bit of silence and then a bunch of shots. ?The units there will need my guidance.? She said as she took off that way. Taikaru looked at the rest of the group she had and gestured that they would be landing soon by looking at the ground. The sound of bullets and few tanks were all that they could hear when they landed right by the battlefield. They unstrapped their parachutes and followed Taikaru to the Officer of the division.

?We are here to help you call your soldiers back a bit to give us covering fire.?

?Who are you!?? He ordered as the launch of another shell hit a viper square in the head.

?We are from New York. We are part of a government?s top special division. We have duty here.?

?Alright I?ll bring my men back but get those vipers off of us.? He said as he told his men to give them covering fire. As soon as they backed up the vipers started to take ground. There was a group of twenty left on this side and about twenty five on the other. Taikaru started to form an aura around her as she took out her blades. She took a deep breath and gave the order for everyone to attack.

?I?ll take on as many as I can. I want all of you to do what you wish but stay together so you don?t make a mistake. Our reinforcements are here somewhere they are probably already fighting. If you find her while fighting bring her over to me after we hold off this attack.? Taikaru said and everyone went off. Taikaru went off on her own to the front lines. *I know this is a bad idea but what the heck.* She thought to herself as she charged the first viper. It burrowed underground and came up right under her. She jumped to her left and took out her pistol and started shooting. She got one good shot on the tail end of it before it went underground again. The ground shook as the viper came up again. This time it came up to the left of her thinking she was going to jump again. This time she stayed put and shot the viper right in the neck. It still didn?t die. ?What does it take to kill you creatures!?? She said shocked as the viper lunged for her. She jumped and got on top of it. The head stood up and started wavering back and forth like it was going to strike even on its own body. It backed its head up and lunged again at her. She jumped back a bit as its fangs got stuck into the body. She took this chance to take her daggers and stab it in the eyes and the head killing it. Right after she killed it another was coming straight at her. There was no time to move. She readied for her death. From the west though came a figure that tackled the snake and tore it to shreds. Taikaru looked up at the figure and only said one thing ?Eric??
