These vipers were tough!!

Still, nothing compared to some of the perverts Yuhi had fought before. That Don Cornero guy, sheesh.

A viper fell, and Yuhi recovered her switchblade, doing her best to look like just another combatant in the group so any and all authorities wouldn't wonder "What the hell does that kid think she's doing here?!"

The switchblade wasn't fast enough. She put it away and pulled a pistol. Tiny, almost a toy to the opinions of most other people, but she found it wildly effective, especially since a viper wouldn't notice her coming until she could get in a point-blank shot.

Something big and crazy powerful charged a viper about twenty feet to her left, leaving a big red grease spot where it used to be (OOC: they have red blood, right?).
Yuhi backed off wisely. No fear, but caution.

'You seem to be having trouble.' Eric said, blood dripping from his fingers. He raised his hand, watching the blood run down his arm.

'I apologize for the savagery,' he said, flicking some of the blood from his hand as he turned cold eyes on Taikaru, 'But I misplaced my sword somewhere in this battle and this seemed the best option.'

He offered her a hand up and looked around to see what else was coming. Two more of the vipers waited about 50 yards away, looking for an opportunity to strike.

'These creatures will never learn.' he said, spotting his sword about halfway between the two vipers and himself and Taikaru, it's sheath lying next to it.. He broke into a run as the vipers began to slither forward, rushing to attack. Eric crouched low, ducking under one of the vipers' lunge and grabbing his sword. He skidded to a halt as one viper continued towards Taikaru and the other turned toward him. He sheathed his sword, letting his hand rest on the handle as he began to charge the viper.

The creature opened it's mouth, hissing as it went in for the kill. Eric's eyes narrowed as he pulled the sword from the sheath, stepping to the side as he swung. The viper sailed past Eric, landing in two lazy coils, it's top split from it's bottom.

The other viper stopped, turning to Eric and quickly burrowing underground. Eric closed his eyes, letting his powers and the vibrations in the ground tell him where the creature was. He walked toward Taikaru, stopping just inside ten feet of her. Suddenly, his eyes opened as the ground beneath him exploded, the viper coming up to swallow him whole. As the beast reached the height of it's jump, clearing the dust from it's emergence. Taikaru saw Eric, one foot on the creature's upper jaw and one on it's lower, standing on the vipers open mouth.

'Die.' he said, letting the viper's jaws snap shut as he sprang upward, turning in the air so that, when he came down with his sword, The viper was cut from head to tail, split open on it's top side.

He landed in front of Taikaru, flicking the blade of his sword to remove the creature's blood.

'We should leave,' he said, sheathing his sword, 'More will already be on their way.'

He began to walk, not waiting for a reply.

'Hold on.' Taikaru said, catching up, 'How did you do that? We've been training to fight these things and couldn't do that well.'

Eric didn't even turn back as he replied, 'Twenty years, a lot can change.'

'Yeah,' she said, 'But not your looks. You still look the same as you did then, you haven't aged a day.'

'No,' he said, anger creeping into his voice, 'I haven't.'

Alexia crouched and watched the vipers as they came in. A few others had broken off with her and she could feel the tense anticipation flowing off them.

[B]?What are we waiting for?? [/B] one of them hissed

[B]?Me. Be quiet, and patient.? [/B] Lex rolled her eyes. [I]Kids[/I]

[B]?Screw this.?[/B] the one who had complained broke off and started running at the vipers. They turned and spoted them

[B][I]?Damn it?[/I] [/B] Lex mumbled [B]?Cut em down!? [/B] with that she stood, drew her guns and ran into the fray. [B]?Smile pretty for me.? [/B] a viper hissed and opened his jaws revealing dripping 8 inch fangs. She took cool aim and fired right into it?s mouth. The round exploded, blowing apart the snakes head. The next went down the same way. She quickly switched weapons and went to her sword whipping it quickly and skillfully through. Blood, thick and matching her hair, covered her in splatters from head to toe.

[B]?Make for the base! GO!? [/B] She watched her group push through and run for the base. Lex continued to fight, covering their retreat?

Alexia walked slowly and authoritatively through the base, her boots causing her steps to echo. She came upon Taikaru. Her back was turned to Lex and she was speaking to some of the soldiers from the base. She turned when she heard Lex approaching and gasped at the sight of her. The soldiers straightened up and stood at attention.

[B]?None of it's mine" [/B] Taikaur relaxed. Lex went to her and dropped two blood-coated tags in her hand.[b]"We lost two, the rest got in. I?m going to go wash up?

?General??[/B] one of the soldiers spoke

Lex paused [B]?Yes??[/B]

[B]?You rooms have been set up for you. Second floor, by the secure room?

?Thanks. As you were.? [/B] She turned and walked off toward a shower and a change of cloths?

[COLOR=Navy][SIZE=1]Taikaru walked over to Alex wiping some of the blood off her clothes as they stepped toward the shelter. They regrouped in the lower floor of the building. "So I trust that it all went well." Taikaru said putting down the wet blood soaked clothes.
"Yes Taikaru all of the vipers have been elminated." Said Yuhi sitting down. "I'm glad you got here. Anymore time spent with those snakes and we would have been eliminated ourselves."
"I will assure you that is not all of them." Alex said getting up. "We will need some rest before we head to the core of this situation." She went to the stairs and gave a smile back at Taikaru before she went up.
"She's right we will need our rest to complete this mission. So tonight I want you to pack up all you will need to carry to the airport where the most concentrated amount of creatures are. Reports of not only snaked but zombies have also flooded in. I've also have a feeling that some minor and annoying creatures are there as well. Analyzing what has happened over the past twenty years I've come to the conclusion that these things are actually forming small colonies of their own to invade the Earth and take it over for their own needs."
"Why take over our civilization?" Lamia asked a little confused.
"I'm sure it is for territorial reasons. I obviously can't delve into these creatures minds but I'm pretty sure that is what we are looking at. A scale force of creatures determined to invade our land." Taikaru turned to the stairway. "Please get your rest I'm headed off to sleep." Taikaru went then up the stairs and into her room. She sat down on her freshly prepared bunk. "What are they doing here and how have they gotten this smart. It seems that in the past years these things have multiplied." She looked at a few pieces of data taken with her. "The biggest concentration consist here in Australia, Russia, back in the U.S. California, etc... The last one I see here is Antartica." Taikaru mumbled to herself. "I wonder if they have units positioned there as well." She then fell back and went to sleep.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue][SIZE=1]Ic:As soon as Kahn hit the ground he joined the battle against the vipers. Like some of the others he had not yet had the time to train against these things back at their base but he had observed their attack patterns. As Taikaru gave the order to move out he did so running off to follow Alexia with some others. Kahn gained the attention of a pair of vipers rather quickly, once they spotted him they began to make up the ground between him and them to fast for comfort.

As they advanced the two vipers burrowed under ground and Kahn lost their location.[B] ?Shit!? [/B] he yelled frustrated. At the last minute in a desperate attempt to avoid the on coming vipers he jumped up into the air and drew metal from his surrounds. It was dangerous for him to take any metals out of support structures so he gathered what he could from debris and other junk.

Just as he had finished collecting the metal that was needed the two vipers rose out of the earth at speed and lunged for him. Kahn drew two metal spikes from the metallic liquid in his hands and hurled them at the vipers. The first of the two snakes caught the jagged metal spike through the centre of its head; it flopped onto the ground dead twitching from nerves. The second viper was quicker it dogged the spike and kept coming straight for Kahn.

He ran. He ran as fast as he possibly could, which proved to be not fast enough, the second viper went underground once more, over shot Kahn?s position and pop up right in front of him, blocking his escape. The viper slowly advanced towards him, Kahn re-gathered metal into the palms of his hands and formed 9inch long nails. The nails floated around his arms and hands. The viper lunged and he released the storm of metal on the snake no more than 2 feet away from him. Blood spurted out from the creature and onto Kahn as the metal assaulted its body. The creature fell motionless at his feat.

He turned to look be hind him as Lex yelled [I][B]?Make for the base! GO!?[/B] [/I] Kahn ran after the others as they scrambled for the base. Behind them she fought covering their asses so they could make it to the base safely.

Upon entering the base everyone split up more or less, Kahn asked directions from one of the Soldiers and he pointed out where their rooms were located. The viper blood smelt horrible and he was just about warn out and he had only faced two of them. Kahn listened in on Taikaru had to say about the situation before he went to clean up, he was disturbed at the fact that these creatures may be planing an invasion of sorts and Zombies may be on the way. She concluded with

Kahn nodded to Lamia who was sitting next to him.
[B]?How many did you get??[/B] Lamia shrugged and looked away.
[I][B]?Hard to keep count, at least 5 or more?[/B] [/I] Kahn nodded and shrugged his good byes for the evening.

He desperately needed a shower and a good rest, it felt as though age was catching up to him quicker than he would have liked. [/SIZE] [/COLOR]
