Solayo
This is a story that I thought up in my free time and would like to post here. I'm going to post it by chapters so it won't get too long. Hope you like it. Two people ran for their lives in the darkness of the night. Other unrecognizable people followed after them, carrying guns. Minutes later, gunshots were heard firing in the distance. After that, there was silence. Chapter 1 It was a typical rich man's party. A party in a huge mansion, with lots of food, with lots of rich guests. Outside the mansion, there was a very long line. A guard checked if the people going in were in the list of invited guests. If not, he would kick them out. Twin brothers were now at the front of the line. One had scarlet hair and crimson eyes, while the other one had dark cerulean hair and night blue eyes. They were both wearing t-shirts and vests containing a logo with the name, "Buster Video Service". The twin with the blue hair and eyes had a videocam and wore glasses. He also looked paler than the other twin. "Who would you be?" asked the guard. "Isn't it obvious? We're the video service your boss hired." said the one with the blue hair and eyes. "Lessee here..." the guard said as he went over the list, "Oh, here you are! Buster Video, right? Yup, you're here." "Thank you." the one with the red hair and eyes said. The two of them were about to go inside when the guard stopped them and said, "Lemme ask you somethin'. Aren't you two too young for this kinda thing?" "Well..." said the one with the red hair and eyes while trying to think up a reason. "We're substitutes." the one with the blue hair and eyes said, "The ones who were supposed to come here are sick. Nobody else wanted to do the job so we volunteered to do it. We already did our homework, it's a Saturday, and our parents know that we'll be out late." "Alright, you can go in." the guard said, "You look like good kids." After that, they went on in. "Hey Crio, the guard said we look like good kids." the one with the red hair and eyes said to his brother, "Do you think...we'll ever be good?" "I don't know, Pyo. Maybe not." Crio said. "Oh." Pyo muttered. A little bit later, Crio started coughing. "Are you alright?" Pyo said while trying to ease Crio's condition. Crio had stopped coughing but he's now leaning against the wall and breathing like he came out of a room with no air. "I'm...fine." he said between breaths. Pyo looked sad, worried, and somewhat angry at the same time. He said to Crio, "You always say that. But every time you do, I get worried." Crio didn't say a word and went on to the huge dining room as if he didn't hear his brother say anything. Pyo followed him. The room was full of people. Crio and Pyo pushed through the crowd, with Crio looking through the videocam. At last, the two of them got to the front of the stage where the host was going to make his speech. The host went up the stage and started talking. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! How are you? Are you all enjoying the party? I hope you do!" he said on the microphone. While the host was talking, Crio pointed his videocam at the host. He pushed a button and a dart shot out of the videocam and and hit the host on the neck. The other guests didn't notice the dart coming out of the "videocam" but saw the host suddenly lying on the ground. Most of them went over to see what had happened while the others, their fun spoiled by the unexpected event, went on their way out of the mansion. Crio and Pyo went with them, unnoticed. Solayo
Chapter 2 "Good work, boys." a mysterious-looking man said to the twins, "You completed your task perfectly. You earned yourselves a good rest." "Thank you sir." Crio said. Pyo said nothing but went with Crio to their room. When they got to their room, Crio had another cough attack. This time it was a bit worse than the one in the mansion. Pyo helped him to the bed, and by the time they got there, the coughing has stopped. "Are you okay now?" asked Pyo, even though in his mind it was no use asking the question since he always gets the same answer. "Yes." Crio answered, just like Pyo had expected. They sat on the bed in silence for a while until Crio looked at Pyo and said, "How come you look like that? Do you have something on your mind that's troubling you?" Pyo remained silent, took off his shoes and socks, lied on the bed, and pretended to go to sleep. Crio took off his shoes and socks as well. After that, he turned off the light and went to bed. The two of them faced away from each other. Neither of them knew that both of them were crying. Tears fell from their eyes in silence. And in silence they eventually slept. How did these two come into such a predicament? Boys so young, working as assassins. Of course, there's a reason behind everything... Pyo and Crio were ordinary boys living ordinary lives once. That is, until that day came. It was a late sunny afternoon, and they had just arrived home from school. But instead of seeing any of their parents, they saw a letter saying that their parents had been taken hostage and that they should go to the place where they were to meet, without anybody else with them. The note didn't say anything about money, which was quite odd for a ransom note, so they agreed to follow what it said, thinking it might be someone's idea of a joke or someone's bluff. They had arrived at the meeting place and there they saw their parents tied up. A mysterious man appeared and the twins asked him what he wanted with them. The man said that they were special and he needed them to join him. The twins refused at first, but had no choice but to agree when the man said he will kill their parents if they didn't comply. After all, what loving child would allow his or her parents to die so early in his or her life? Until now, the boys are still doing the man's bidding, hoping that someday he'll let them all go.
