Sayuri-sama
well today i was watching Azumanga daioh's last episode and i was thinking what's going to be like when i graduate? i couldnt stop crying and all but it really made me think. i still have two years left in high school and i was wondering about everyone else. is graduating a really big thing for you? i mean my middle school graduation really wasnt a big thing because everyone i graduated with went next door to the high school. but now its going to be really hard to part after being with everyone for like 7 years. i will be even harder for me because all my friends are a grade higher than me , which means they leave earlier..:animecry: whhaaaaaaaa!!!!! i hope im not alone!!! KatanaViolet
The part where you get to dress up and go to prom or whatever is fun, but for the most part its actually kind of boring... but at the same time, realizing your closing a big chapter in your life can be exciting, releiving, and sometimes a little scary. To be totally honest with you, it's a little overrated, in my opinion. But I had a big falling out with my friends right at grad so I was basically alone. As happy as I was to be graduating and feeling like I'm going out into the real world and moving on with the next phase of my life, I was very hurt that I didn't have anyone to share that excitement with. :animesigh But I doubt that would happen to you, so don't worry! It will be a very happy and exciting time for you <3 :animesmil
Shwa
I'm not too fond of going to prom (I dont want to go but everyone is saying I should), but besides that it is my last year and I should be fun and outragious, lol. I'm really excited about this year because I'm graduating, but I have so many things to prepare for (i.e Senior Week and getting a summer job that pays better than the one I have at the moment, college applications, etc.). But I'm sure it will all be worth the pain and stress when I walk through the stage and get my diploma, but its going to be sad leaving my firneds when we finally do sperate :animecry:
IceRose
Oh gee, I graduated not two months ago. It was nice, it was neat. The ceremony is actually very emotional since you look at the past 4 years you spend and you look at the memories you made, in my case, memories from 4 schools. I loved my graduation because I saw that I got the support from everyone I loved and all my friends not only in school but here at OB. The one thing that was funny it was that I almost tripped going up stage.
KatanaViolet
Dry Grad and Wet Grad are the best parts of graduating. Graduation might be a little overwhelming, but just keep on truckin! :catgirl:
Retribution
well today i was watching Azumanga daioh's last episode and i was thinking what's going to be like when i graduate? i couldnt stop crying and all but it really made me think. i still have two years left in high school and i was wondering about everyone else. is graduating a really big thing for you? i mean my middle school graduation really wasnt a big thing because everyone i graduated with went next door to the high school. but now its going to be really hard to part after being with everyone for like 7 years. i will be even harder for me because all my friends are a grade higher than me , which means they leave earlier..:animecry: whhaaaaaaaa!!!!! i hope im not alone!!!
Well, I found that my middle school graduation wasn't a huge deal, even though I went to a different high school than the rest of my friends. When I was an incoming freshman, I had three vague aquaintances. I basically knew I was going to start from scratch and leave all my old friends behind. Yes, I got a bit teary-eyed (NOT crying, you wussies!), but I kept in touch with my really good friends, and all is still well. High school graduation feels like a huge step that will occur in my life very soon. This time, it's going to be extremely hard, as I've made two phenomial friends whom I expect to keep in close touch with throughout college and beyond, as well as a slew of other great buddies. I've noticed that all my other friends that graduated last year told me "It's a chapter of my life that's now closed." In a way, it sounds sad, but it's also very true. You cannot live in the past -- rather, you must look to the future, be brave in the face of whatever you may see ahead of you, and let life go on. You can't go back in the past and live high school over again, so live it how you'd like to live it, because once it's over, it's over. I'm taking [a lot] more [social] risks this year, as I realized that I don't want to look back 30 years from now wishing that I had asked some girl out, or maybe made friends with that one person. No regrets.
Sayuri-sama
yay! thank you all so much for your support!!! even though i still got two years to go!!! its just one of my very best friends, shes practically my older sister, graduates this year, and i dont know what im going to do without her. not that i dont have any other friedns but she like a big part of my life and all. i know im so gonna cry on that last day of school...and trust me its hard for me to cry. next year will probably be sadder though but i must be strong and bear with it. being in high school now, its hard to think that theres life beyond that. i know i will never forget my friends and i'll still see them still but its not the same as seeing them every day and going to class with them and all. :animecry: WHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! but i must look to the bright side!:animesmil IM SURE I'LL BE ALRIGHT!!!!

Anyways, I can only look forward to graduation, really. I already keep in touch with all of my friends, even the ones who moved to other states. I don't really feel like I would be leaving anything behind, and I have everything I could ever want right here. I still have another year until Graduation, so we'll see how I feel about it then.
Ryo the Tactician
I'm a junior, so I have about 2 years of High School too, and I think I can safely say that when I leave my high school [graduate] I'm going to be broken up. Four years of friends, good/bad times, tests, quizzes, lunch, study hall, and most of all the people again, and to lose that in one ceremony really sucks. I mean, we all have to move on eventually, but you know that you'll never, ever, be together with all those people again. Even the people you don't know really well, but who's presence you're just used to being there, day after day. And then sayonara, you all go your separate ways. It makes me feel sad just thinking about it. Like Retribution, I'm trying to do what I want to do in high school - I don't want to live with regrets. Even if that means playing soccer again after breaking m y leg doing it a few months ago...heh heh^_^ I'm not trying to rush my life - I'm not desperately awaiting graduation, that's for sure. ~RtT
Panda
I did great all the way through my high school graduation. I had many laughs with my friends and didn't think I would cry or anything like that. That was until one of my long time friends, a guy I had gone to school with from Kindergarden until our Senior year, gave me a single white rose and said he would miss seeing me every year. :animecry: I did fine until that moment. Then I started to cry. I realized that there were many friends I had grown up with and now we would go our separate ways. It was a very bittersweet feeling. College on the other hand I didn't feel sad at all. I was actually looking forward to my upcoming wedding so there were more important things on my mind. I was very happy to finish and don't miss being in school at all. All and all, the best part of graduation was knowing that I wouldn't have to take any more finals. Yeah!! KatanaViolet
That's a good question Sayuri... I'll let you know in a couple years... I'd expect it to be something like graduation from high school, only more intense. I mean, because when you graduate high school, it's like "Okay, now I"m going to go to post-secondary school" but when you graduate from college/university, there's a whole lot of things that are uncertain... that's when you really gotta go out into the real world... Eek... :animeblus
anendtomystory
Graduation. I would probably be confused on what my next step would be. Hopefully I can get in line before then. I want to make an impression on the world. Lets see if I can do that. :animestun ~JD~ :catgirl:
tsukineko
Don't worry. I have thought about this for a long time as well. I graduate in three years but most o fmy friends are one grade ahead of me too. I asked them about it and they just give it a relaxed aprroach and see what is in store for them. They slowly start to grow up and shall soon leave me behind*cry cry* :animecry: , but it is nothing to sweat. Trying to stay in contact with your older friends can help , but it is just another one of those hard facts of life. I am starting to get really nervous myself. I just take every thing one at a time and hope for the best. There is a whole nother world out there just waiting to be explored. Things should go well as long as you keep a positive attitude  I have been to my moms college graduation and it was AWESOME! There were sooooo many people there. They had the gowns and hats with tassles. There was a lot of applause for those who made validictorian and other high honors like that. My mom and her friends were acting like a bunch o flittle shcool girls. It looked like a lot of fun. I can't wait for mine. tskuineko, consecutive or 'double' posting is against the rules of OtakuBoards, and so I've had to merge together your two posts.
