[SIZE=1][COLOR=Navy]It is Cosmic Era 81 and the Earth Alliance forces have been systematically forcing neutral countries on earth to join their side or the have eradicated them. Razing all of that country?s forces the only country that has proven to put up any kind of resistance is the Orb Union. But this is mainly because they have the capabilities to build massive amounts of mobile suits, along with ZAFT the have been able to put up a strong fight against the anti-coordinator group Blue Cosmos that has taken over the Earth Alliance.

However, Orb has not only constructed another massive mobile suit army. They have rebuilt the Archangel and four stronger versions of the Generation Unrestricted Network Drive Assault Module weaponry suits. Also named GUNDAM by some of the people who have piloted earlier versions such as Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala. These four weapons have a technology called Phase Shift armor which is something not new to the soldiers of this time. However three new GUNDAMs have been constructed without the Earth Alliance knowing. One was rebuilt for Kira Yamato?s sole usage, the Freedom Gundam has been rebuilt and is being re-fitted with new technology that has not been disclosed. Also two other models have been built but their specifications at this time have not been released to even captain Ramius of the Archangel However, a shuttle that was transporting one of the suits was lost in some sort of freak accident. The officials of both Orb and ZAFT declared it lost in action but a search team was launched and they didn?t find debris of any kind. The only thing that team found was some sort of residue that could only be determined as some sort of plasma that might have been from a passing phenomena.

When the Earth Alliance finally tried to attack Orb again they succeeded in breaking the front lines and launching an attack on the main cities, however most civilians had been evacuated to one of the neighboring countries which was held by ZAFT. Only a few people remained. One was a young boy named Kazuma Shizuka. He had been on his way to the last ship when the Earth Alliance forces broke through. The first target was the port where the ship was still docked. Over a thousand civilians were killed in the blast. The only other place Kazuma could think of was the military base. He?d managed to hot wire a car and head there.

In the meantime two other youths had the same experience and had headed for the military base. What they found there were three GUNDAMs prepped to be loaded onto the Archangel. The pilots had been at the port trying to get people onto the ship safely and were among the dead. When the three youths showed up they were told to get onto the ship. However as they were about to a GUNDAM developed by the Earth Alliance showed up and started to open fire on the one GUNDAM that was operational. The pilot was still getting used to the Operating System or OS and was taking heavy fire. The three youths all being experienced with one version of an OS or another climbed into the three suits and somehow managed to pilot them into combat. They were capable enough to drive the enemy GUNDAM away and protect the pilot of the GUNDAM codenamed Assault. When all was said and done the four were taken into the Archangel?s hangar. Kazuma and another of the youths were found out to be coordinators while the third was said to be a Newtype, a person that is the physical embodiment of human evolution. The three were allowed to stay on board the ship as pilots for the GUNDAMs. Some of the older crew members joked that Captain Ramius was acting like she did when she first took command of the Archangel by letting kids like that Kira Yamato stay on board as pilots.

With the Archangel fleeing from Earth Alliance forces, ZAFT sent as much help as they could to get the ship into space so that it could meet up with Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Cagalii, and Athrun. The four were staying on one of the PLANTs to oversee a diplomatic understanding with the Earth Alliances. Truth be told the talks were not going very well. The Earth Alliance diplomats couldn?t do much because they had been branded as sympathizers to the colonies and their agreements were vetoed by the Earth Alliance?s council on each and every matter. In fact the Earth Alliance had considered a plan much like Patrick Zala?s and were wanting to construct a weapon like he had but aim it at all the colonies and wipe them out in a single hit.

When the Archangel finally landed in Africa in ZAFT controlled territory with a space catapult they had suffered damage to the ship and Kazuma had gone into a catatonic state and would not snap out of it. However the base?s technical crews were able to fully repair the damage done to the ship and mobile suits and within 48 hours the ship was prepped to launch into space. But the Earth Alliance forces had found the ship and had a small fleet in orbit over the Archangel?s coordinates. When the ship launched and entered space they were immediately engaged in combat. However this time around Kazuma came out of his semi-coma and launched into combat. During the fight he took down at least 10 suits on his own and then began hand-to-hand combat with the Earth Alliance?s GUNDAM. However just as the two were about to go flying further away from the ships an enormous spike in energy occurred and a temporal rift tore across the battlefield engulfing the Archangel, the five GUNDAMs, and one of the Earth Alliance?s ship?s. The rest of the combatants were annihilated. Also at that moment another rift appeared and whisked away every single colony. The trip for Kazuma and the others including the crew aboard the Archangel was interesting. The rift though tore some of the Archangel apart, part of her hull was ripped off and some of the systems were fried. When they finally came out of the rift all of them were surprised to still see Earth. But something was different.

The earth no longer had millions of lights instead huge blue lines of energy streaked across the surface like veins. Only a few clusters of lights could be seen b y the pilots and crews of both ships. Just as the crew of the Archangel were getting their bearings, klaxons sounded and they realized they were going straight back down into earth?s atmosphere along with the four GUNDAMs. The Assault quickly changed into its mobile armor mode and provided a lift for the Newtype?s suit. The Blitz Mk II managed to land in the undamaged launch bay and climbed back into the hangar. However the Strike, which Kazuma was piloting, was too far away from the Archangel and was plummeting straight for what was the Texas area while the Archangel and the three other suits were heading for what was Illinois. The Archangel was able to get the landing sequence initiated but some of the gel would not spread over the bottom of the ship and those parts were immediately evacuated just as the hull started to buckle and tear. When the ship finally pierced the atmosphere it was on fire in multiple spots while the Assault and the other GUNDAM were scorched in s pots. The Blitz?s pilot had managed to close the hangar bay doors before the ship went down. However the group weren?t out of the woods just yet. Instead of being able to land the ship properly the helm officer couldn?t get control of the ship and the Archangel instead crashed into the remains of old Chicago cutting a swath of destruction as she tore into old buildings and skyscrapers. It finally came to a rest at the foot of the Sears Tower. The Strike on the other hand took a nose dive straight into the outskirts of old San Antonio and Kazuma blacked out from both the crash and he was injured during the landing.

During this whole time the Earth Alliance group managed to come out with less damage and were able to carefully land on Earth near a rather modern looking town in Germany. Once they?d landed they were greeted by the natives. Mainly the military members of the New German Republic. Having been explained the situation on earth now and that the Germans has managed to track the Archangel and Strike down to earth with their military observational weapons. The Earth Alliance requested their ship get repaired along with their mobile suits.

Okay as you can see this is something rather different and straying away from the major aspect of how the colonies are oppressed blah blah blah.. Anyways, what has happened is that the pilots have been whisked away to what Earth would look like in 10,000 years in their timeline. A lot of major cities like New York, Paris, Rome, etc have been wiped out due to those lines of energy. Those are called Ley Lines and contain various properties. Also, supernatural things have occurred on Earth during this time. People have mutated into different things including powerful psychics. Magic is common in places, Dragons roam the skies, demons emerge from rifts in St. Louis, Vampires roam and rule Mexico, Gargoyles plague Germany. Atlantis has arisen anew near where Cuba used to be. Welcome to Rifts Earth, this is based off of a popular table top rpg etc. Anywho I?ll explain more in the underground thread.

[B]Bio:[/B] Kazuma grew up on the PLANTS with his parents but by the time of the Bloody Valentine incident Kazuma and his parents had moved to Orb to escape the oncoming war. However the war dragged on and eventually did hit Orb soil. But he was able to escape with his parents to another neutral country that was able to hold out against the Earth Alliance. When the final battle was over with he returned to Orb with his parents to continue his schooling. Eleven years later Kazuma was living on his own with some friends and comepeting in junior mobile suit competitions.
But now the stakes have been raised, the Earth Alliance has now bared its fangs again and are waging war on nations neutral and ZAFT alike. All of them have practically fallen except for a few strongholds. Orb has not been touched due to the damage they inflicted to the Earth Alliance the last time around, though even that threat didn't last very long.

When the Earth Alliance attacked they didn't waste their time and razed everything to the ground. Mainly civillian homes etc. The last ship that was to transport civillians to a ZAFT controlled country was destroyed by the Earth Alliance's GUNDAM suit. Kazuma was supposed to have been on that ship but a few delays stopped him, but his friends were on that ship and were killed. When Kazuma had gotten to the peir he saw one of his friends in the water. Not wasting anytime Kazuma dived in and swam towards the girl but she had been seriously injured. Getting her out of the water Kazuma managed to hotwire a car and headed for the military base. That's when he saw another GUNDAM launching and meeting the Alliance's suit in combat. When he got in front of the Archangel an officer grabbed him by the arm and grumbled about twoe other kids, one of them already launching in the Savior.

When Kazuma had gotten his friend to the sick bay he ran towards the hangar and noticed that the tech crews were prepping a GUNDAM, namely the Strike. When he asked the tech chief if there was a pilot he was told that there wasn't and they'd need to try to find one. Kazuma pointed out that he is capable of piloting a Mobile Suit he was allowed to launch with the Strike. The rest is history.

[B]Personality:[/B] Kazuma is a caring person who doesn't fight like a punk or like a sissy. He fights for his principles and what he believes in. He usually is pretty calm and relaxed but if he's riled up he is pretty snappy and quick tempered. However he really doesn't brag about being a coordinator.

A boy that was born on a Earth alliance ship. His father was the perfect soldier for the Earth Alliance, while his mother was a worker on the ship. Growing up, he rarely saw his parents together. His mother tried her best to care for him, but when he turned ten, she died. Ryo was left in the care of his father, Isamu. He taught him everything about being a soldier for the Earth Alliance. Yet, he if he wasn't teaching him, Ryo was left alone.

When Ryo turned 19, his father stepped down from his position. Saying he was 'too old.' By blood, Ryo was destined to follow his father's steps to be a pilot. His skills at with the mobile suits were amazing. He was soon ranked to captain as his skills increased. One year later, they attacked Orb again, breaking through they're lines. This was a great test for Ryo. Killing innocent people that had no reason to die. At first he hesitated, but his father roared through his intercom as he had choice but to kill. He could feel his heart being sliced in half as he destroyed escape ships. The invasion came to halt as he flew back to the Earth Alliance ship. He stayed in his room the rest of the of time.

A cool and collective man. He is a quick thinker in battle, always hiding his emotions after the attack on Orb. He hates his father more then anyone after his mother died. A father that didn't care if he was alive or not. A man that didn't give him no notice, unless it was training with the Mobile Suits.

Ryo has no one, but him himself to trust. The only goal, the only thing he strives for is peace. He will keep on fighting for peace, and finally leave his father's grip over him. No matter who it is, he will do everything in his power to survive.

[B]Bio:[/B] Sakura grew up in Orb with her parents and her fraternal twin brother, younger than her by 2 minutes. They lived peacefully and they watched the havoc of the Bloody Valentine War, not expecting it to reach Orb, but it did and they escaped to a neutral country for the rest of the time. When the War was over, her family returned home to Orb, finding death, devastation and ruins a plenty. Their house had been flattened, along with their father's workplace, which meant they needed new homes, and a new source of income. For a few weeks, the family lived on the streets with the other families who were lost, alone, or had no home like them. Their father finally got a new job and worked for a while before they had enough money to rent an apartment, eventually there was enough money to buy the apartment and they all lived together in the flat, Sakura and Daisuke shared a room while their mother and father had the other bedroom.

When they were 17, Sakura and Daisuke decided to go out on their own, they had an ambition to become great mobile suit pilots, and the academy was in another city. Their parents gave them enough money to send them over and they knew they had to work hard to show their parents that it was worth it. The two of them enrolled and a year was paid for them courtesy of their parents but they immediately found part time work so they could save up for the next few years and whatever food and items they needed. Being coordinators, they picked up things fast and were soon ahead of the class. The two of them took part in whatever competitions they could; depending on if they had time away from studies, time away from work, and low fees for entrance. Whenever it was a team competition, they would always partner up because they knew each other so well being twins.

When the Earth Alliance attacked everyone was rushed to the emergency ships, when there was only one space left on the final ship, she pushed her brother into the arms of the awaiting guard and sunk back into the crowd. She stood back and watched as the shuttle launched into the air, a minute after it did, an Earth Alliance sweeped past, blasting it to pieces. Sakura cried hard, she wasn't sure her parents were alive, if not, she was the only one left.

Some Orb officers grabbed her and passed her to a car which transported her to the military base for safety. An officer took her further in to where the Archangel was. She looked at the ship in awe, it was famous and Daisuke and her dream was to be a pilot, part of the Archangel crew. She wandered around quickly, looking for the bridge. Instead she ended up in the hangar and saw the Savior GUNDAM being prepared for battle but all the technicians were complaining about the lack of pilot. Sakura ran up and begged them to let her pilot it, explaining that she was coordinator and had lots of experience piloting. They caved in, saying that there was no one else that could anyway. Sakura jumped in and launched, the neutral grey colour changing into a vibrant crimson, she would get revenge for the death of her brother, no matter what.

[B]Personality:[/B] Sakura's a confident person and usually tries to find the positive side of things. To some people she may seem like a difficult person to get along with, but that's a personal opinion since she's open and lets other see her real self, allowing the person to choose whether they want to become friends with her. Sakura's temper can rise quite quickly if she's in a particularly bad mood and she won't be much of a person to talk to. If she's sleepy, her conversations usually slow down from the fatigue. Sakura is proud to say that she's a full fledged tomboy and doesn't like wearing skirts or dresses, but she can if forced to or if the need arises. As a friend, Sakura is loyal and trustworthy, able to keep secrets. She loves her friends and comrades and will go to unimaginable lengths to protect them. She's extremely skilled as a pilot but doesn't like to brag about her skills as a Coordinator, instead she prefers if people underestimate her so it will be more of a surprise when she beats them. People also make the mistake of thinking she's fragile and gentle, but really she's a great and honourable fighter, with an extreme knowledge of weapon usage, martial arts, and a deadly aim. Sakura has a strong hatred for the Earth Alliance because it was their fault that her brother was killed and she wants revenge.

[b]Bio[/b]: Zanto was born on Orb as an only child. When he was three, Zanto's father joined ZAFT and became a mobile suit pilot for the military. After that Zanto and his family started moving from country to country with their father as he was assigned to different places. This made it hard for Zanto. He was constantly switching to new schools and when he did make friends he was forced to leave them as his family moved on. He would come home some days and be very depressed, but Tashaki (Zanto's father) would always cheer him up by teaching him how to work his mobile suit.

Zanto desided at a young age that he wanted to be a pilot like his father. He took many classes in school that studied and talked about mobile suits and during his spare time his father would show him one on one about piloting. Zanto was strangely amazing at piloting and quickly adapted to the different types of controls in different types of mobile suits. His senses were amazing as well as his hand-eye coordination. Tashaki was similar in this way of learning, but Zanto's abilities seemed to surpass his own.

After a few years, things seemed to be turning around for the Mikaeru family. His father had been called back to Orb and he told Zanto that after another month or so he would try to take a year or so off so he could be with his family. Though, during the week of their return the Bloody Valentine incident occured. Zanto's father left home as soon as the attack started. He didn't return. They found remains of his mobile suit far away near a deserted area of Orb, his body was never found though.

Zanto was then determined to be who his father had been, a barve man and an amazing pilot. He would go to the military base and watch soldiers train and would sometimes sneak into classes similar to the ones he took when he was younger. Eventually, Zanto's mom passed away from an illness she had been fighting for years. Before she died, she told Zanto to not grieve over her and to not hold back.

When the Earth Alliance attacked again, Zanto headed strait for the military base, hoping that maybe he could help in some way. After all, he had nothing to lose. As he arrived there were three mobile suits that stood out from the others that everyone was attending to. Zanto spotted a cool looking one called the Assault GUNDAM. Without thinking, he leapt into the cockpit and started it up as the officers started yelling at him. And that's basically how Zanto Mikaeru got to where he is today.

[b]Personality[/b]: Zanto is a high spirited young man who is always very lively and up beat. He has a lot of energy and has to go through a lot to be worn down. He enjoys being around people and talking (a lot) and is very loyal and loving to those he cares for. He also likes to come off to girls as a ladies man, but usually he just gets the cold shoulder. Like all people he does have a serious side and will take care of something if it needs to be done. During battle Zanto is like a controlled wild fire. He is a fast thinker and is always trying to come up with battle strategies. He can lose complete control of himself, but only when his emotions have been punched.

[B]Bio:[/B] Haruna grew up in a ruel, land locked region of the Orb nation. She lead a relitively sheltered childhood, not knowing what she was or why she seemed to accelerate at everything she did. When her parents finally told her she was a Newtype, she became so distraught, she ran away from home.

Haruna spent the next few months living on her own in the nation's capital, when Orb was attacked by the Earth Alliance fleet. She ended up getting caught in the crossfire while trying to evacuate and barely escaped with her life. She finally made it to safety and back to her childhood town, but when she arived, Haruna was shocked to discover that her home had been looted and detroyed, her family was nowhere to be found.

Once the government was re-established under Orb control, Haruna eventually moved back to the city. But she was never the same again. When Orb eventually found itself under attack by the Earth Alliance, Haruna was once again in the process of evacuating. Finding her only routes out of the city blocked, she headed to the millitary base.

The next series of events took place so fast, Haruna barly had time to think. One minute she's staring at these three massive mobile suits while a forth is trying to fight off a Earth Alliance mobile suit. The next minute, she finds herself inside one of them, the Blitz MK II.
