Tristen fell to his knees spitting blood all over the ground. He had never fought anyone this hard before. Well what did he expect, this was the Haven Champion. He looked up to find the other man in no better shape then him. The cheering crowd reached his ears considering he had blocked them out the entire time. He hated them, watching captives and volunteers kill each other for show and amusement. He himself was a captive and would have to fight until the end of his days.

The Champion slowly stood up raising his sword above his head making half the crowd go crazy and the other half yell and boo him. They began chanting the nickname he had received after he finished his first match. [I]Vash[/I]. He was given that since he fought like a previous champion. They yelled it over and over, making it echo in Tristen's head.

The Champion grabbed Tristen by the head and tilted him back so he could look him in the eye. "What's wrong? I heard you made it without bringing out your animal side and you haven't even brought out mine yet. I will show you" He stepped back as two eagle wings cam out of his back and feathers appeared all over his body. Tristen stood up and palmed the Champion in the chest sending him sliding back as the Champion finished his transformation. "Meet Giyu" Giyu grabbed Tristen by the throat. "They say blood brings out the animal. Let's see if you work the same way" He wiped the blood on his arm across Tristen's mouth.

Tristen frowned as Giyu let go. He slowly stood up as his head began to spin. "What the...?" He fell to the ground as a crimson light covered the Arena, then disappeared leaving a strange looking creature. Giyu took a step back. "What the hell?" The demon took a step forward as he brought out an extremely long Dia katanna. "What's the matter? Oh and Giyu, the name is Lokin" He became a blur as suddenly Giyu's left wing fell to the ground as blood began to spill out. Giyu reared back as he clutched the severed limb. "You bastard" He brought up the wing shaped sword only to find his arm chopped off as well. He fell to the ground as Loki stood over him. "Your a hybrid" Lokin held his hand up in the light. "So I am" Blood sprayed in the air and all over the ground as the Giyu's head rolled on the ground. Blood continued coming out as it changed back to the previous Champion.

Tristen shook off the changes of the after effects as he sat down in his new cell that was reserved for the Champion. "I need to get out. I need to get out. Maybe I could find some others"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here's a little back story. This takes place in a city called Dark Haven. It is known for its Arena, called the Haven Arena. People that have committed a crime are put into here as there punishment. Others are captured and forced to fight to the death. Some people volunteer to fight for the title of Arena Champion. The only thing is that when you enter the doors, you never exit.

Upon entering the Arena, each fighter is genetically altered and basically given a second personality, only that it is an animal instead of being human. No one knows what animal they become, they find out when they change. When a person changes they remember everything the other side has done. Over the years, the doctors have tried numerous times to create hybrids, but only to have them die days after the operation or when they change into their other form. The only other partly successful one has been Vash who turned into a half wolf, half tiger creature named Xion. But he died a month later after changing and after that all the others failed until Tristen.

Over the years there have been various attempts at breakouts but non have made it pass the outer doors.

Tristen was the doctor?s newest project and made it to the last round before changing. Question is, will he live long enough to break out and be free and will he get help from the other fighters.

Here is the list of animals that you can change into. I want at least one of each, and then I don?t care what you are after that.

Cats-Extremely agile and somewhat fast. They are prideful, sometimes selfish, and usually don?t care for the others, especially birds.
Dogs-Strong and extremely good in combat. A lot of the higher ranks are dogs. They are loyal and honor plays a big role. They usually get along with others
Birds-Fast and smart. They are courageous and valiant, but look down on the others as lower, weaker classes
Reptiles-Extremely smart and agile. Very deceiving and are known for their tricks in and out of the Arena.
Insects-Pure power but slow. Usually are quiet and serious and are all work and no play.

Each class also gets one elements that come with the type that they are. You are able to choose one out of the two
Cat-Fire and Light
Dog-Electric and Dark
Bird-Air and Gravity
Reptile-Poison and Plasma
Insect-Earth and Water
