Ezekiel
Figured it was the time (the third time?) for another art thread, seeing as my CG has been improving...at least, I think it has >_> I'm on devART [http://imi-kagami.deviantart.com/] in case anyone is interested, but I don't get any good solid critique there other than from people who are my friends anyway. 'Twould be nice to get some people who I don't know to give me opinions. Anyway, if a picture is too big (which most are) then I'll just link you to it, instead. Imric Kagushi>>> Imric is a character I've had for over two years, and I luff him. I hadn't drawn him for ages, and thought he'd suit modelling for this T-Shirt design. (Little Doom, also owned by moi). I rushed the pants a little, I seem to remember, and saved as an accursed JPEG. >_< Silly things, making my picture look pixelated. Pirate Alex. Yar!>>> This is my friend, Alex, as a pirate. Obviously. Just a character design, but I tried out a different way of CGing hair for this one. Turned out pretty well. From Imi, with Love>>> This was the gift I did for KKC after she got my 1000th hit. I don't draw animals, ever, so I'm pretty proud of that dog. x_x I know I got the angle of Kakashi's legs wrong in comparison to how his torso is twisted, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so left it as is. I'm pretty sure that's the best background I've ever done before, too. That's all I'll post for now, but I've been sketching more so I imagine there'll be some less colourful things coming your way, heh. C+C is much appreciated.
John
First and definitely foremost, you nailed the highlights and shading on the Alex one, particularly on the clothes. I just... keep going back over the piece and staring at it because of that, lol. Oh my goodness, I love it. Everything else is fantastic, too, except for the sword hilt (which you already recognized in your dA comments there) and the right arm. I assume you were trying to convey perspective there, but it didn't really come off too well (that does look like a pretty tricky angle, though). I don't suppose this is too much of a recurring problem for you, though, because you handled the same situation in the KKC piece quite well. Speaking of which, I like it a lot, also. How you put the more defined characters on a less focused, more non-traditional background almost reminds me of one of Bill Watterson's watercolored Calvin and Hobbes Sunday strips. You could have worked on the tree a bit more, though. Since the trunk is so plain and rigid, it looks pretty flat. As far as the characters go, all I'll point out is the guy's eyes, which are pretty well out of proportion. I like everything else about it, particularly the hair, which was quite cleverly colored. Awesome stuff.
Revelation
I'm really enjoying your works, Jamie. The pirate is quite well drawn. I am most pleased to say that I envy you, as I do always. I mean, there aren't many people who have the skill to create such creativity in their drawings and whatnot, as well as turning them into digital graphics. Kudos, Jamie, kudos.
boothten
First and foremost, I think you did an excellent job on the pirate. The highlights are amazing and I applaude you for doing them so well. However, as you have already been told, the sword hilt, the sword, and her right arm aren't properly aligned. They look almost rubbery. Her breasts also look very spread apart, and the strap in between them doesn't help much. It just makes the breasts look much more spread apart. Her left foot also looks a little funny, but seeing as it's a different angle to draw and I couldn't draw like that to save my life, it's very well done. As for the second drawing, it's also well done. That dog looks huge, and the spike near his right ear looks like it's just popping out of its ear. The boy's pocket doesn't look like a pocket, but it looks like a hole in his pants with his butt hanging out. Using a different shade, or a different color (maybe an off white or a plaid--something to make it look like a pocket and not flesh/skin) may help there. On the whole, both drawings are very nice. Your form is good, and I love the way you make the foliage in the second drawing look hazy--almost smoky. Simply fantastic. Oh, and just so you know, I can't see the first image you put up (I assume it's an "Welcome" image for visitors).
Pumpkin
First, the Imric Kagushi picture the first thing I noticed was you had not completed the feet. I'm sure your working on that at the moment, but for the most part I love how you do hair. In most artist's work they usually mess up with the "shine" part, but here I see it perfectly blended with his blue hair. Now, I could tell you all your artwork is perfect (which it practically is but thats beside the point), the only thing that I could really critize about this one was that I wasn't too fond of the shirt, and the arm length seems a bit long to me. Pirate Alex would have to be my absolute favorite. Despite my love for pirates, again I really like how you did her hair (it looks like mine, nice choice!). I agree with the person who said the sword handle seems a bit off, and her right arm as well. But despite all that, this is simply beautiful. I love her facial expression and her eyes as well as the outfit. Great job on this. As for KKC, I have to agree again that one of the eyes is a bit unproportioned. The dog's body is a bit shady, and at first it was really hard for me to even notice it. It tends to blend into the background too much. The tree also looks like its fading. Still, I love this picture and the fact that you actually have a background to it. It makes it seem more realistic, yet again with the hair (you must think I'm hair obsessed by now) it looks simply gorgeous. The thing in his pocket is also a nice little detail. (Hmmm..what is that by the way?) Just to let you know, that I'm not trying to bring down your artwork Ezekiel. You have some really great talent, just thought you ought to know that.

Ezekiel
Firstly: Thanks so much to everyone who replied to this. When I look at the Alex picture again, I realize what you mean about the angle of the arm and such. Thanks for pointing it out, I draw that position a lot for character designs so I'll be sure to look our for it next time. Second: I know I've been crap and haven't updated, but that's because I haven't really drawn anything new except for, hum, this <<< Apart from that, I only have a copious amount of pen doodles of Shikamaru and Itachi *shot* Thirdly, to Caitlin: I bought my pens from the art shop on Bold Street. (The place just before you get to Forbidden Planet.) The Copics are so expensive, though, ask Alex about her Prima Markers (that's what I think they're called, anyway) =/

Also, I'd recommend reading the Art Studio Rules on Constructive Criticism, as your post really did nothing for Ezekiel in the way of helping improve her. Instead of shamelessly promoting your request thread, why don't you PM her with the request, along with giving her some helpful advice? Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions or concerns! :p
