Boo
Hey all. I haven't posted art here in a very long time, so I thought it'd be time to post again. No, this won't go in my art thread since that one's old and art thread's lose attention real quick. I'm never going to make one again. It's not like I post art very much anyway. A new thread in the Art Studio once in a while won't hurt anyone :P The image is something I made for a thread on DreamYourLifeAway.com. The assignment was to take This Photo and get creative with it. So, instead of a normal photofix, I made this out of it. Tree v.3 I'm still working on it. v.1 and v.2 came before this one (if you didn't notice yet  ). Edit: The foot of the tree is still a bit less sharp than the rest, I think, but I'll fix that later. Enjoy.
boothten
I don't know what it is, but I'm not too keen of the image. It may be the unnatural roundness of the bottom of the tree or the green outline of the tree itself, but it looks odd. I don't like how near the top of the tree, the branches begin to thin, but you can still see some of the thicker (but still very thin) ones because there are leftover pixels that look like they are just floating there. Maybe try to just make the image of the tree white, keep the background (the background fits well), and try making the bottom of the tree neater but more natural-looking. The thing that bothers me the most would have to be the green--don't bother asking me why that is. I have no idea myself, it just doesn't look right. I'd be glad to see a v. 4, I'm sure it'll look amazing.
