[Akieen Cloud]

Kida looked around her old home and smiled sadly, the town was falling apart and literally. She sighed and looked down at the black wolf by her side.
"Well Tobin, suppose we had better find a friend. What do you say?"
The wolf whine softly as she winked from under her tan hood and walked ahead. She stoped at her old club house, the spot she had always met a good friend of her's, she didn't even know if he was alive. She put her hand on the outside wall and then her forehead, memories came rushing back. She jumped and looked around the corner as she heard a loud crash. She saw a man covered in a long black cloak, his leg extended from a kick, dust setteled as the building fell in two from teh kick, she watched as he droped his leg and reached down ripping half the floor from the building in a singal move letting out a group of elderly men and women and children.
"Whoa...that was cool."
She gasped as Tobin let out a small bark and ran twords the man.
"Tobin get back here!"
She ran after and grabbed his silver collar as he reached the cloaked man, he tan cloak setteling around her.
"Tobin, are you insane?"
She looked up slowly as she heard the man move and took two quick steps back letting Tobin go who trotted the rest of the way to him, sat down and began to pant out soft whines.
"He uh, he wants you to pet him."
She waited tensely for whatever was to happen next.

[Knuckles]

He looked down. The hood blocked any view of his face. He bent down and pet the wolf. The Wolf brushed against him. He looked at her.

[Akieen Cloud]

Kida smiled akwardly and blinked.
"He never warms up to a sranger, like that...I apologize for his actions he's just, well yeah. My name is Kida."
She looked at him, he could just make out a long wisp of black hair and the glimer of her blue eyes.
"I grew up here, can you possibly tell me what's happened?"

[Knuckles]

He looked at her and just shook his head. He wrote the name "Shakren" in the sand and then wrote the words "just arrived."

She blinked and looked at him.
"Do you not talk? Or is it like some code thigie?"
She looked at Tobin as he growled at her.
"I know it's none of my bussiness, but you know me, I'm nosey."
She looked at him and smiled, though he could barely see it.
"I'm a witch."

[Knuckles]

He wiped away what he wrote and stood up. He bowed slightly and turned to walk away.

[Akieen Cloud]

"Hey wait up! whats wrong!? Wa it something I said?"
Tobin growled again.
"Oh, the witch thing...I'm a good witch! I just...okay, so I'm a not so good witch...does that matter?"
She jogged after him accidently letting the hood fall as she reached him and matched his pace, she looked at him and smiled pulling her hood back on.
"So, you travel alone, I would too but I ahve Tobin so I dont really, I think this is the way to Targen, I may be wrong but i think so, what are you going there for? I never go there, to many church offcials, they hunt us witches youknow, killed me mum they did, burned her. If I'm talking to much just lemme know, I havent had someone to talk to in over 15 years, well goblins but they only like riddles mostly. So you alone? well not anymore...hey can I travel with you?"

[Knuckles]

He stopped and looked at her slightly. He nodded and contined walking. All of a sudden he wistled loudly. She looked around as he continued to walk. Then a roar came from the direction they were going. It was a beast covered in tan robes. When it caught up to them, she noticed it was a Black Panther.

[Akieen Cloud]

Kida smiledand looked at tobin winking.
"So there is one thing your are gonna have to do and thats talk, unless of course you cant then thats understandable. I can talk enough for both of us, and I can talk tro my self as well so you never have to worry about me being bored and if I am look out I can do some pretty wild stuff when I'm bored, like othis one time I lit Tobin's tail on fire to see how fast he can run and then this other time I began to see if I could freeze the ocean, i stayed there for weeks! I'm pretty determined."
"she began to walk backwards, happy that she wasn't alone anymore, even if he didn't talk much...well actually at all.

[Knuckles]

He moved his arm moved quickly toward her. She thought he was going to hit her, so she closed her eyes. She opened her eyes to see an arrow in his fist, the tip pointed at her. He had saved her.

[Akieen Cloud]

She blinked and looked at him.
"T-Thank you"
She looked at her palm and cursed.
"Witch hunters. Just my luck."
She looked at him and smiled sweetly.
"See ya around stranger."
She snapped and smiled as Tobin grew to the size of a lorge horse, she climbed on and threw off her cloak to show a thin red halter top shirt that was cut to her ribs and a long skirt that had slits all the way up to her thieghs. a pair of tall black boots with small heels covered her feet. She looked down at him and held out her hand.
"Wanna ride?"
She let her hair fall into her face as she looked down at him.

[Knuckles]

He looked at his Panther and got on the wolf. The Panther ran beside them. He looked back to notice the were being followed. He tapped her shoulder and pointed this out.

[Akieen Cloud]

"Trust me I know! They're a pain in the ass! I'll lose 'em eventually, they can't keep up with Tobin even if they tried! Besides when we pass the boarder to the Goblin Wood they'll turn back!"
She bent down and whispered into Tobin ear and he nodded and let out a mighty howl. She saw with satisfaction as the goblins hidden around them began to move in for the trap.
"Get ready for a show! Each goblin has a special ability that they take pride in! Hang on we have to jump he gobln wall!" She pointed to a large 80 ft wall and laughed as Tobin cleared it cleanly. She waited and smiled at him, she pulled out a small pouch of fine dust that she used to draw the runes for her magic and climbed the wall. Smieling she sat there and waited, as soon as they came within distance she let out a shrill whistel and laughed as the smallest of the goblin race attacked, they had little or no use but she learned that they could easily spook a horse, she liked to call them skitters. As the riders were thrown she stood and made her speech.
"Leave these woods, we have done nothing to you or your kind. We mean you no harm."
"What about the people your goblins and you attacked?"
"This land belongs to us now, we came here long before you and your kind. Leve and let us be!"
She spoke the words softly, her look away spell, the men all let out strangeled cries as she seemingly dissappered, she reappered behind the man she had brought with her.
"Welcome to the goblin wood."

[Knuckles]

He looked around slowly. He smiled and looked at her.
"As I said, my name is Shakren."
He spoke in a low rumbling voice. She looked at him as if she saw a ghost and before he knew it, she jumped on him yelling.
"Yeah, he speaks!!!"
He picked her up and sat her down.
"If word gets out, they will be the least of our worries. They will send their best after me. I must leave before everyone is hurt."
He bowed to her, the whole time she hasn't been able to see his face.
"Thank you."

[Akieen Cloud]

She grabbed his arm and smiled.
"Stay with us! It'll be fun! I don't wanna be alone anymore, so stay!"
She pulled him along and he noticed she was stronger then she looked. A brown goblin apperaed next to them as she stopped and patted Tobin.
"Well Gen'ral,how'd it go?"
"Good Cogwhallop, look I found a friend!"
"I told you not to make it diffucult to leave."
Her face grew serious.
"Don't."
He shrugged as she smiled againa dn ran ahead of them twirling around ina cloud of dust fromt he road. Shkren looked down at the Goblin.
"She seems to innocent to be a war with her own kind."
"She's not as innocent as she apperes, shes fierce."
He nodded and looked up as she fell tot eh ground romping with Tobin. She sprang back up and raced a few of the goblin children that had joined them. He looked ahead and saw many huts that looked like hills, clever hideing.
"Gen'ral, the interagation?"
"Right, the bell and rope?"
He gave them to her and they entered a larger hut. she set up the spell and drew the runes on the dusty floor.
"Did a preist send you?"
"No"
DING
"Wrong answer."
The intergragation went like that till she laughed cruely.
"Well I suppose I shall let you eat now, you try to escape I'll kill you my self."
DING
"Dung! Just stay here and you'll be fed and watered."
She took down the spell and walked out with them, Cogwhallop looked up at her.
"Yo should have let me do it, I'd have ment it."
She laughed and looked at Shakren.
"ust you go? This place is as good a home as any and I can assure you tht we will know if any come faster then you think, the goblins and I know of ways to keep trakck and very good track of the men that approach these woods."
She leaned down trying to see his face, a small move but noticable.
"Please, at least for a few days."
She straightend and smiled catching her tound between her teeth and closing her eyes. She reminded him of a little girl...Cogwhallop's words rang in his ears.

Before he could answer she caught his hand and drug him to a small fire.
"You can stay with me! I'll start to make dinner if Miggy hasn't yet."
she giggled and ran insdie of a overlarge hut, she left the door open to give him a look inside, two beds and a good sized dresser. She emerged in a pair of shorts and an apron. she smiled as he blinked and looked down at the apron.
"It keeps me from runing my shirts if I just wear the apron alone with my shorts. Don't worry, I wont try anything."
She giggled more and smiled back at him. She was pure of heart,t hat he could tell, but the way she smiled, she had been hurt badly, she tried to hide it. She smiled as he sat on a flat rock and began to cook what smelled like a thick rabbit and root stew.
"So, Shakren huh? I'm Kida, but I think I introduced my-se;f earlier. What you doing in my home town today?"
She looked at him, a small knife poised over a young carrot.

[Knuckles]

"In a sence, hiding."
He looked around and as he saw no one, he moved beside her.
"I am being hunted. emencely."
"You must have done something pretty bad."
"Keep this a secret. About a year ago my sister was captured by Reshein Army, the army of 12,345 men. They threatened to kill her if my father didn't pay them 100,000. My father didn't have nearly enough. So the sentenced my sister to death. Her execution was set for noon the following day. As noon approched I grew more and more angry, til I snapped. I walked before the gates to their castle and ripped them off their hinges. well... to make stories short, I killed every last one of them with my bare hands..."
He looked up and gazed upon the stars.
"I didn't kill them at first... Til their leader executed her early... right in front of me. I moved her body out of harms way and grabbed the chop block. It was 2 tons of steel and wood. I picked it up and threw it at the leader, crushing him... Then the slaughter began..."

[Akieen Cloud]

Kida looked up at him and nodded, she remebered that day.
"I remeber that, I was in the crowd down below...your sister was very pretty."
She looked up at him and then back at the carrot she was cutting.
"Kida is my middle name, Namine' is my fisrt name, reble."
She smiled as he nodded.
"They've been after me for a while now. More like years. ever since the day that the preists started to run the goblins and witches out of the towns...I shot the high preist with an arrow, he gave to order to kill my mother, and cogwhallop's family as well. They're monsters."
He looked up at her and watched as she cooked, it smelled good.
"You know, things sure have been weird around here lately. They say that the preists think I'm some kind of socceress. It's strange. You aren't a bounty hunter are you?"
He looked at her and frowned.
"Right sorry."
She giggeld lightly and went back to cooking.
"You could be alittle more talkitive ya'know?"
Again he looked up and she nodded.
"Right I talk enough for the both of us...so you were the one who killed that army, pretty good for a young man. So when you snap do you just go freakin' phyco?"
The look he gave her made her pale slightly.
"Subject best left alone, I can see that. Sorry....touchy. Anyway...that why you hide your face?"
He nodded.
"Good reason." she sipped the stew and sighed.
"It's done when you want some."
She walked back into the hut and sat on the bed looking at the dirt floor.
