There's this guy who likes me and I like him back (though I don't know why) all my friends have been telling me to go out with him. There's just one problem, he lies to me all the time, he's a pothead, and every girlfriend he's had so far he's cheated on. Plus, he's too shy to even tell me that he likes me, I had to find out from his friends. However, whenever I'm around him, he makes me forget all my problems and I feel as though with time, I'll be able to tell him anything. I've been hurt by guys before and I don't want it to happen again, what do you guys think I should do?

Trusting a guy with such a sullied past is a hard thing to condon. Guys who cheat are usually token to do it again and again. Sad to say, if you get involved, regardless of what he's said to you, he might do it again. A man once tempted is easily tempted again. As for the pot thing, you might or might not end up with problems with that. It depends how often and how much he uses the stuff. I'm personally very liberal and say, like drinking, every once in a while doesn't hurt much. But, again like drinking, heavy and constant use is a sign of a serious problem you might not want to get yourself in the middle of.

I hear girls all the time tell me about how good the guy there with makes them feel, even when they're coming to me with the worry that he's cheating. The reason that is, is because men who cheat know who and how to keep you from walking out right on them. If your at doubt then you need to do something to see how loyal he really is, but if there is already this much doubt in weather or not he'll stay faithful, I suggest you get out now before it gets to hard. If your already concerned, then your already in trouble.

If you go into a relationship like this with any kind of doubts, then your destined to hard times and quite possibly heart break. Think about this long and hard before you decide on what to do next. Do you trust him enough to know, and the key word is KNOW, that he won't fool around on you? Because if you don't, then this might be the time to end it now before one of you winds up hurt.

If he's as much a loser as you seem to describe him, than I'd suggest you try and not get involved. He make you feel good now, but nothing good can come of it (See: Romeo & Juliet). It's spur-of-the-moment. It'll pass and than you'll come out the better for it. Or don't, get yourself involved with his drug culture and loser-ness... It's your decision to make. Hell, there's a good chance that the guy doesn't even like you; you're just a fling, like his previous women.

Do what you think is best. There are others out there, just do what you think is the best idea to you. ;)

Believe it not my dear that's actually three problems not one. :p However all kidding aside the problems you've listed are quite serious. See relationships for the most part are built on trust. If this guy is known to be a pathological liar and then on top of that a cheater. Chances are your steering yourself in for a bad relationship.

Well, it should be obvious. Let's be realistic here. It's unbelievable that you would even consider having a relationship with this guy. Sometimes I really think girls like to be treated like ****. Seriously, you shouldn't need advice on the Internet to tell you that if you don't want to be hurt you shouldn't date a guy who has a reputation for hurting people! If you feel that this is the kind of guy that can make you forget all your problems then perhaps after he cheats on you and the relationship ends you can find someone with a reputation for beating their girlfriends, get married and live happily ever after. It should make an interesting follow-up thread.

I think the biggest mistake people make is believing that somehow things will be different with them. They won't be.
yeah i guess you're right....but it's hard. when you're talking to him, you'd never think that he was such an a** hole. i tend forget that sometimes...
I understand. The worst kind of guys are usually very good at being charming. Remember, as a liar, that's what he does. It's his thing. Just have some respect for yourself and don't fall into that trap. Otherwise, you'll regret it and I'll be there to post a picture in the thread you make basically telling me I was right.

Oh, and being just friends with him won't work. Your convictions obviously aren't strong enough to allow that. You'll end up letting him have his way with you. Sorry. Best to stay away from him altogether.
yeah and all my friends will be like "what the hell is wrong with you?" and he gets kinda stalkerish sometimes to the point where i CAN'T avoid him.
Just make sure you avoid situations in which you're alone with him. You'll give in because you want to.

Wow, Is it just me or are alot of people having problems all of a sudden, and its almost always with a relationship?

Well my frist question is that why are you asking people on an online site rather than just ask your own friends and get their imput, unless your worried that they will tell or something right? Then they wouldn't be true friends if they would do something like that.

Yet again though Charles is right, as he is almost 99.9% of the time. If the person you say you like is really so bad that he has done all of those things then why are you attracted to him? Is it because he is bad that you still like him? Then that would be a futile relationship and you really would have not that much of a reason for asking us would you?

From what I uderstand this all sounds kinda off. It sounds like you want to avoid this clown. Otherwise your gonna end up hurt in the worse kinda way. You sound like a strong and smart girl, so I can't figure out for the life of me why you don't back out of this thing. I've seen things like this get really ugly and even violent if left unchecked, and don't say that it won't because I've ahd girls tell me that one to many times. I used to work as a youth councilor, so I have seen all kinds of relationship problems and this is definitly a bad one.

I'll go with Ikillion in saying, you should probably look more toward your friends at home rather then us here for such an immediate problem. If a guy is really that obsessive, then this isn't healthy for either one of you to be going through. And in the end, you'll be the one to pay for it.

I may not know you, or him for that matter, but I do know how things can go wrong really rapidly. Even if your not alone, if he should snap for whatever reason then whatever friend your with might be the one who pays for your putting up with it. Just get out of this thing now while it sounds like you still can. If you let it go it could get alot worse.

again, my friends are idiots, nice idiots, but it's all the same. they tell me to forgive his lieing because he's "just trying to impress me" but i know somethings off and that's why i'm asking you. no of you know him or me, just the situation and that helps clear things up, a lot. thanks for your advice ^_^

He's dumped her twice yet she thinks that he still likes her. whenever i try talking to him, she always pulls him away from me or starts inturrupting me. He's just starting to see it and has been trying to get away from her whenever I'm around, but i still get jelous of her, can anyone help me not be so jelous?

she's such a preppy wannabe ******!!

i forgot to say that i like to make her mad by sitting on his lap and hanging out with him eventhough she doesn't want me to.

way i see it you have nothing to be jealous of. I am jealous of my ex's new chick but thats because he is with her.

You on the other hand have him already, don't be jealous, be proud that he has chosen you. making you jealous is why she is doing all of this anyway. If you show her your envious side she will think she in winning.

Besides if you keep getting jealous he might get tired of you as well and just avoid the both of you to avoid the drama.

thats me dos pesos
