Dagger
No, not the myO kind. :p Here's a good example of what I'm referring to. Most of the better-known anime blogs cover whatever's currently airing in Japan, although plenty of them branch out in other directions, touching on subjects like American anime DVDs, anime-related games, etc. They're a great source of information. I was curious as to whether others here read anime blogs regularly (and if so, why? Which ones do you follow?). blog好き (blogsuki) is a great resource, and it's well worth checking out if you're curious about this sort of thing. Not all entries are 100% worksafe, but you can usually tell from the title. ~Dagger~
Sojio
Blogs are great. They are a great source of information and are usually set out user friendly. My blog www.unofficial-ghibli.piczo.com is a source of information on Studio Ghibli movies directors and news.
bellpickle
I stumbled upon Memento in the past, while googling Monster, though I can't say that I visit it regularly. Not directly related to anime, but still: Back when I was really into J-Rock, I read J-Rock blogs daily, and most of them were maintained by people who were either living in Japan or knew how to speak Japanese fluently. I visited mainly because they were not only a great resource for fandom news/reviews, but they oftentimes featured bits of info on Japanese culture in general, things that overseas fans simply wouldn't know. It's been a while since I last visited, though, so I wouldn't know if those blogs are still active
Guest animehazel
I use an anime blog Hazel: Animenut I'm slowly increasing the number of people on my blogroll whose anime blogs are worth a read. It's a great way to find out about figurines for me becuase i don't know which websites to look at to learn about new releases yet. I enjoy reading people's expectations for the next animes to be released and ramblings about anime culture. If you have an anime blog, or are interested in reading other people's anime blogs, then this is a great antenna recently set up:Anime Nano
Lindus
I don't follow specific blogs, but I definitely like to refer to them when considering starting a new series. I like to see someone else's opinion on why they did/didn't like a certain show to see if those reasons would be a deterrent for me. On occasion, I just like to read them to know someone's talking about series. Like, I know Memento covers Mushishi very well, and though I'm three episodes behind (shame!), I think Memento's good for telling me what to expect (the non-spoilery blurb at the beginning, mind you. Not the whole article) mood and story-wise.
