Anime endings.

I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem I do. Everytime I see an ending to an anime I hate it. It's just not good. For example Descendants of darkness, I hate the way it ends, nothing gets sloved. And the ending to Peace Maker, I wanted way more action then I got. If you feel the same way about endings, and have one or more please tell, I want to know. :D

The problem is the same for both of the anime you mentioned; they were each adapted from much longer manga. Therein lies the rub.

I didn't mind either ending, personally. Descendants of Darkness pretty much did what it needed to do, and PMK had plenty of emotional closure. The Peacemaker Kurogane manga (which is actually the sequel to the series upon which the anime was based) includes events from the anime, due to the way GONZO juggled the timeline. But for the most part, it takes place after the anime's final episode.

The one ending that I hated the most was the ending to Tokyo Underground.(if you don't know what tokyo underground is,then i don't blame you, it's not that well known) I mean, all
Rumina and the maiden do is hold hands and start to float while everything is being destroyed. then next thing you know, it's over. Did they all die? Did thay go up to the surface?
i just didn't get it and that got me pissed off.

I added spoiler tags to your post. To learn more about them and why we use them, please click here. Thanks.

Well; there are no animes specifically that I have had a problem with how they ended although there has been the odd Iffy one.

A good example of an Iffy ending is with One Peice although it is quite possible that it is so badly dubbed that it felt.... wrong.
I hated the Blue Gender ending. Where no is question answered.

And the worst ending of all time would be Getbackers. I ranted about this a million times on other theards so im not going into it. At the end all you can do is say wow.
I must disagree, the ending to Ranma 1/2 is probably the worst, it was so open ended and left a bad taste in the mouth. Mahoromatic was another terrible ending. S-cry-ed too. There are too many bad endings to say which is worst.

I didn't get to see the end of Blue Gender but my brother did, he didn't like it either. To the S-cry -ed, I kind of liked the ending to it, sure I would have like to see a few things different. But it was ok. I didn't really like the end of Trigun, I was hoping to see more of what went on with Vash and his brother.

i was slightly upset with dessendants of darkness also, true it is continued on in manga but that means that you have to hunt all of them down :animecry:

The biggest example I can think of is Inuyasha. My friend and I watched the second half of the series in one weekend-long marathon, and when it was over we just looked at each other in disbelief. Absolutely nothing had been settled at all.
Most of the anime I have has good endings. Haibane Renmai, Saikano, Now & Then, Here & There, Escaflowne, etc... I think the anime that are planned from the beginning and have a definate number of episodes (eg. 13, 24, 26, etc) usually have complete endings, whereas the ones that are just let to run until people lose interest are more likely to stop without necessarily finishing everything up.

I watch Inuyasha but I haven't heard anything about the ending. And yes Descendants was a dissapointment to many. But like others have said it goes farther in the manga. I know another ending that ticked me off was the ending to Devil Lady. I hate the way it just ends and you don't know what happens to Jun. And the ending to Outlaw Star, ahh it drove me crazy ending like there was more.

I don't have any problem with open-ended series or series with depressing endings.Cowboy Bebop had one of my favorite endings ever, where you could sort of interpret it in more than one way.It was sad but beautiful.Samurai Champloo, however, left me unsatisfied. It seemed like the studio rushed everything. It was open-ended(I'm not going to spoil it),but it felt unrealistic after everything that had happened to Mugen,Jin,and Fuu.Did anyone else see it and feel the same?

I?ve always enjoyed anime that doesn?t have a definite ending. In a sense its as if the show can?t have an ending as that is how life is. You?ve gone through experiences and events and when its all said and done, life goes on. So there can?t be an end.

There are some that in my opinion could have been done better though. Take Neon Genesis Evangelion. After all the intensity that the show built up it felt to me as if they ran out of steam at the end, it felt like a rushed job to produce the final episode.

And then take a show like Fruits Basket. Although there was no final conclusion it still was done in a manner that to me left you feeling like some level of resolution had been reached.

As for Yami no Matsuei, I am not unhappy with the ending, but I certainly would like to see more.

I have to disagree. I mean the journey couldnt go on forever right?Them
going their own serperarte ways seemed fine
. What I hated was the fact that they could have given each chacter a place to go. They should have had Jin
return to his lover(the prostitute)from the episode Gamblers and Gallantry[/poiler].Mugen could have ran into the
ninja lady
.And they could have had Fu go see Shinske the thief who
died
mother. I would have liked to see those chacters again.
