Everyone should watch this trailer: It's comedic gold. The movie looks so over-the-top cheesy that I don't know how it could possibly be anything but hilarious. In case the title itself didn't clue you in on the hilarity of this film, then check out the premise:
Snakes on a Plane stars Samuel L. Jackson as an FBI agent who is escorting an eye witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles when a crimelord sets in motion the release of hundreds of deadly snakes on the commercial airplane in order to eliminate the witness before he can testify against him. The FBI agent must protect his witness while banding together with the pilot, frightened crew and passengers in a desperate attempt to survive.
How could you not love that? Seriously?

And here are some of my favorite bits from the trailer:

- "Enough is enough. I've had it with these snakes."
- Samuel L. Jackson whipping a guy with a damn snake
- Kenan freaking Thompson beating snakes with a tray
- A hilariously frightened guy gripping a snake that fell out instead of an oxygen mask
- A flight attendant chopping the head off of possibly the fakest looking snake I've ever seen in a movie
- A snake crawling out of the front of a woman's dress

Again, I don't see how this could be anything less than amazing. Just take a few friends with you to the theater, and you're guaranteed to have the time of your life ripping the movie apart! It's films like this that make me sad that Mystery Science Theater 3000 isn't around anymore. :(

Anyone else here looking forward to seeing this when it comes out? Rejoice in its awfulness!!

I dunno about you, Shin, but I really loved the random cat meowing, and then showing the empty cage with the snake coming out it. Wonderful.

I also loved how Samuel L. Jackson shot the head of a snake on a plane with one shot while it was moving. Talk about nice aim. I think this one of those movies that's so cheezy it becomes awesome, much like Napoleon Dynamite.

Is this real? Are you serious?

When you first showed me this, I thought it was some joke somebody made by taking clips of an old Samuel L. Jackson movie and adding snakes. So this movie is real? But the snakes are so fake at some points! It can't be real. The plot is too out there to be real.

...

Wow, it's real. It's on Tribute.ca and everything.

Well, this movie is going to make some money off of me. Me and a few friends already plan on seeing it just to see how damn stupid it'll actually be, lol.

What the heck was Jackson thinking, anyway? "Oh, I want to be in a movie where I can smack somebody across the face with a snake. It'll sell millions."

He actually decided to appear in the film because of the title: He took one look at the script, saw "Snakes on a Plane" was the title of the movie, and immediately agreed to star in it. Apparently they later tried to change the title to "Pacific Air Flight 121," but that was vetoed by Samuel L. Jackson because the lame title is the only reason he's in the movie.

Snakes on a Plane has Uwe Boll written all over it. It's your typical 'Let's make a movie so bad that thousands of internet nerds bash the **** out of it, thus making everyone who visits the internet buy a copy of it, and let's just get a big-name actor to star in it, promising him a cut of the profits.' It's a brilliant stratagy invented by General Ed Wood, and it's been carried on by masters such as Uwe Boll and the Polonia Brothers, and now Dan R. Ellis takes up the torch.

This is going to be the greatest movie ever. I've been looking forward to it for months.
As the great Sam Jackson would say: There are ************* snakes on the ************* plane.

What else do you need to know? How the snakes get on the plane, what the snakes do once they're on the plane, who puts the snakes on the plane, who is trying to get the snakes off the plane...This is not for you to ponder. There are snakes on the plane. End of ******* story.
Oh, yes. This will be a very good movie.

I first though... Snakes on a plane?

I hope no snakes were hurt in the making of this film!

Anyways, who would have thought someone would have made a movie with snakes on a plane?! That is so random, and I like. So I guess this will be the movie I'm watching for my bday. Hopefully I don't die of laughter.

Source: http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2006-03-24 (normally I don't trust IMDb for news, but this has been reported at other places as well)
Jackson's Snake Film Creates Huge Buzz

Samuel L. Jackson's new mile-high thriller Snakes On A Plane has created such a buzz among internet film fans, movie bosses have called for re-shoots - to give the film a tougher rating. The film, which stars Jackson as an FBI agent trying to keep a federal witness alive onboard a plane full of snakes, wrapped last September - but went back before the cameras earlier this month for five days of additional shooting. Film bosses at distributor New Line Cinema opted to add new scenes to the film to take the movie from PG-13 into R-rated territory, according to industry magazine The Hollywood Reporter. They claim the second round of filming became necessary after intense and growing fan interest in the film, which is scheduled to be released this summer. Among the reported additions to the film is a foul-mouthed rant from Jackson in which his agent character bellows, "I want these motherf**king snakes off the motherf**king plane!" The line is expected to take on cult status. The film-makers have reportedly added more gore, more deaths, more nudity and more snakes to the finished product.
This is shaping up to be a modern classic. Samuel L. Jackson wants those ************* snakes off of his ************* plane~

The only thing that would make this better is a nice (albeit cliche) Air Force One reference. What I wouldn't give to see Samuel L. Jackson grab a snake, get right in its face, growl, "Get the **** off my plane!" and toss it overboard.

And now there is a Snakes on a Plane RPG. Life is good.

On one of the other forums I post at, people are already trying to guess potential sequel titles. Some of the ones that have been mentioned so far include "Snakes on Another Plane" and "Snakes on a Train." :animesmil

Snakes on a Plane 2: Electric Boogaloo (or maybe Snakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo would work better :animesmil).

Oh man, talk about it. Me and my friends are already to camp at the theater tomorrow for it.

How can a movie with Samuale L. Jackson not be good? Have you seen Pulp Fiction and the first chapters of Star Wars?

And have you've seen the freakin' poster?!?

It's just so freakin' hardcore!
The teaser trailer before x3 cracked me up.[/size']
I was about to say the same thing, lol. The trailer was so incredibly gimmicky, and placed in the middle of so many others that were all so professionally and expensively done, that it seemed so much more like the absurd anomaly that it is. Truly, another theater experience like Snakes on a Plane will not come for many eons. :3

I'm excited! I first heard of this while watching the video/song "Someone Tell Sam Jackson He's My Bro" and Im sad that I couldn't have been hyped for this earlier. Still though, after seeing some of the Snakes on a Plane week of Attack of the Show, I'm totally pumped for this release.

Get these motherf****** snakes of this motherf****** plane!

I've already recruited Charles and Alec (Final Remix) to go with me on Friday, and I'm going to finnagle a few more of my buddies (the guys Charles and I play GoldenEye with every Friday night usually) to go as well. Should be good times.

At first I wasn't interested in the movie at all. Then I realized it had Samuel L. Jackson, a plane, and snakes. Then I saw that it would be good (to make fun of) and thus, I saw the light. I can't wait for this ****. Charles is worried it'll be disappointing by turning out to be a good movie. lol

I don't know why I haven't responded to this thread right away, I mean come on...there are snakes on a plane! I really don't have too much to add to this conversations except that there are now cosplayers doing versions of Snakes on a Plane costumes. That totally rocks.

I love the quote by Samuel L. Jackson at the MTV Movie Awards:

"I'm here tonight to present the award everyone's been waiting for: best movie. Now, this award holds a special place in my heart because next year I'll be winning it for Snakes on a Plane. Now I know, I know that sounds cocky, but I don't give a damn. I am guaranteeing that Snakes on a Plane will win best movie next year. Does not matter what else is coming out. The New James Bond... no snakes in that! Ocean's 13... where my snakes at? Shrek the Third... green, but not a snake. No movie shall triumph over Snakes on a Plane. Unless I happen to feel like making a movie called Mo' Motha-****in' Snakes on Mo' Motha-****in' Planes."

Genius, pure genius!
