Well, I have just come up with this paper, and I?ve yet to find some co-workers to help me out so I don?t do all the work... Anyway, here?s the Week?s news!

[COLOR=DarkRed][B]Anime and Manga[/B]
Several good things have been announced this week, mostly about Anime! Bleach had been announced to launch to AS! Hopefully, it won?t be edited too badly, and maybe for once, more people will enjoy the American anime more than the American Manga. I?m sure most of you are aware of Bleach?s story of ghosts, love, and Shonen elements!

And, one of the most interesting things this week... Eureka 7! Some of you won?t be aware of this Anime. So, I?ll give you a nice little review.

Story: 14 year old Renton is a dreamer. He wants to fly around the world on his ?Ref-board?. He begins to doubt his dream, and then a robot smashes into his house! The giant robot is piloted by the good-looking blue-haired Eureka, of a rebel organization, Gekkostate. The military is chasing her, and Renton soon gets in the middle of this problem. Renton and Eureka shake ?em off, and Renton joins Gekkostate with the beautiful girl.

Characters: Renton
A boy who dreams about traveling, and the newest Gekkostate rebel!

Eureka: The pilot of The Nirvash , she can hear the thoughts of machines.

Studio: BONES

One of the most talked about games of the week, is Kingdom Hearts 2. Yes, some are sick of hearing about it, and others want more! So, KH2 is now officially out, though it does take a while before your local Wal-Mart to get it (I just had to write that).

I?m sure all of you know that Square Enix has made the first one an epic, and they?ve also done the Final Fantasy series. In fact, the game of the week that I liked, was SE?s new Radiata Stories. Yet, both are only on PS2, so I?m sorry for you other game-players. Yes, some members are flustered that KH2 got a 7.6 out of 10. Oh well, I say. Play it anyway, since you should remember that IGN got new people to do the rating job(and they?re not very good at it). The game is just a big fusion, of Final Fantasy, RPG elements, platform...and Disney...

Just wondering...Who would?ve known that a game about Japanese dudes, and Disney characters would?ve been such a big hit? Heh.

Now, let?s talk about RK. Radiata Stories is definitely one of the best RPGs of the year, about Jack Russell, son of an incredible knight. One of the best things I liked about this game was that Jack and the other characters had real personalities. Unlike, The Legend of Zelda, it also has great voice-overs. I give it an 8.9 out of 10. So check out KH2, and RS when you get the chance! You definitely won?t be sorry if you love platform fights, a good story and Anime-game Graphics!

P.S. Speaking of Zelda...The twilight Princess has yet to come out![/COLOR]

[COLOR=Blue][B]Otaku Lounge and World News[/B]

In the lounge, this week, there are several good threads that are getting pretty stacked, or need to! One would be Your Religion started by Gun Preacher. I can smell argue, and controversy in the air, along side history lessons of different Religions! Check it out if you wanna know more.

Also, is Choose..... by myst. This thread isn?t too new, but pretty fun anyway. It?s a fun game where you give two choices, and someone has to choose one or the other, and then give two more choices.

And... I was about to start world news, when I noticed that there was an exact thread to what I was going to write about!

The Mexican border dispute! They are trying to put up a giant wall around the border, so no one can go straight over anymore. Yet, the wall will go through houses, and rivers and many other things to be around the border. I?m not really saying the wall is bad, or good, but if this does happen, many felons will be in the USA. But, it will also make things a little bit fairer. Since, nobody just wade over the border anymore after they put up the wall, everyone will be registered, and everyone will pay taxes. This is certainly news! [/COLOR]

As I already said in the Suggestions and Feedback Forum, I think this is a fascinating little idea but wasn't sure how well it would work out in practice, but seeing the actual "[I]newspaper[/I]" I think's worked out really well. All you need now is a few specialists for the different forums to give their own personal perspectives on the goings-on and we'll be in business.[/SIZE]

Yeah, definitely an idea worth developing. ;D Like Gavin said, there could be several "reporters" from different sections of OB sending you stuff. There could also be an ongoing comic strip if somebody wants to take a shot at that (I'm thinking DW with his Slackers in Slacks).

But it's a very nice way to compile things that are going on in here, since I personally don't usually even visit every section.

That way, someone who's been gone for a while can just look here to see what's been going on. Or, as Sandy said, people who don't necessarilly look at each section will be able to tell what happening in the other parts of OB.

At first glance I thought this was just going to be a carbon copy of the DailyOtaku, but now that I've read it I can see it is very different. The whole idea of having a newspaper for Otakuboards members to come a read to see the current going-ons and hypes of OB is a great idea.

It could use some work, though. The spelling and grammar is alright, but I'd suggest pasting the final post into MWord or something of the like and do a spellcheck. You should also work on the pictures. The first picture should have been (in my opinion) centered and possibly bordered. The second picture is very small and the third/fourth pictures should also have been centered (or thumbnailed).

Anyways, I wouldn't mind taking part in this growing online paper myself. So, if you have any spots available for the Adventure Inn/Square/Underground/Play/PC Mac... then I am your man. I could also help with things I mentioned above.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Well, it?s that time again. Another week, another paper. This is the second paper in this little project. Enjoy! To start things off, I?d like to bring up a small article that I?ve researched into just a small bit.

Yes, Ishihara insulted our little mascot that gave Britney Spears a chance to be noticed. The mouse is from Disney, and is now in Kingdom Hearts? videogame series. But, some people say that he is saying this because it comes from America, and that he?s a racist. So...racist? Or maybe he just hates cartoons...Disney movies evolved the art style of Anime, believe it-or-not, sorta like an influence. Of course, you wouldn?t expect a political person to know or care about that. Oh well, everybody has their opinion.[/I][/B]

Fruits Basket once again on Booklist , this time as #48. Volume 13 is out, and smells like fresh manga, and judging by the fandom of FB on the Otakuboards, you guys should be going nuts.

Kingdom Hearts Manga volume 3 is now on the shelves...And yes more people are going crazy. This one is pretty good, and I can?t wait for the fourth to hit shelves.

Now..on to the interesting stuff! Star Trek fans unite with Otakus...and get a manga? Chris Dows, Gregory Johnson, Jeon-Mo Yang, Jim Alexander, Joshua Ortega, Michael Shelfer, Mike Barr and Rob Tokar are all working on this project, and I for one am not a ST fan, but I?m still pretty excited to see this hit stores in September! Hitting off with a 192 page volume from TokyoPop, even more crazed fans will be screaming as it (and the 40th Anniversary celebration) blast into the media.

Well, you can have varied opinions about that, but as the term ?art? is so hard to define (or because everybody has a different definition for it), there hasn?t been a conclusion to the sprouting debate. It?s really an intriguing subject, though, so be sure to check it out.

In the [b]PC/Mac[/b] ?section, there?s a thread about people?s [B][url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=52454]history with MMORPGs[/url][/B], which stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games, for those of you who were unaware. To put it more understandably, they are those addicting online games that cause people to forgot to eat and take care of their babies. Anyhow, the thread itself is pure quality discussion, with no ?WoW is bestest!!!1?-type of replies. It also gives you some respective on [i]why[/i] people play those games as well (not like it's something inconcievable, though).

There?s also a thread on Homosexuality. Hm, one time some guys my friend was gay. He?s not, but they think he is ?cause he?s optimistic all the time and dresses funny. That?s just plain wrong...They judge him by whats on the outside, and come to a conclusion that?s exactly the opposite of what he is. And what if he was? Why is so wrong in today?s society to be homo? If you ask, me it?s not right. We?re all equal. Doesn?t matter what ?team? your on. Comments? Insults?

Well, in this weeks Art by Request, there hasn't been that many requests lately.... the only new one so far is the Rurouni Kenshin Banner and Avatar Request by Samurai Mix. So far, only KW (me... I know) has answered to his call for help. If you or anyone else wants to contribute... please, reply to his thread and help him out! And also, there are a couple of threads still waiting to be answered by some users! If you want or are in the mood to make a set for anyone, then go ahead and help some users out with your artistic talent!

In other news, the Art Studio has some very interesting threads up and about.

The Rate The Sig Above You thread has been popular lately... so if you want your avatar and sig rated and have some constructive criticism, then reply to this thread here and rate some artwork!

Also, there are threads that are showing users different works of art and need some loving! Look up some of Delta's, White's, Retribution's and Keyblade's work and tell them what you think of their art by submitting a post in their threads. Whatever you tell them, I'm sure they'll take it lightly.... I think... XD

And... last but not least.... as you all have heard, the Graphic Worm thread has been shut down momentarily. Yes.... the most awesome thread showing people's works placed together has been stopped to a halt, until Retri can find another good site to post it on. Let's hope that he finds one soon... because a lot of us want to see great artwork by great artists.

They say the only way to get somethign done is to it yourself, so I'd like to go for the Antho spot.

A couple of things that could use improving. Would it be possible to format this to make it actually look like a newspaper? I know a certain OB member that did a short story with a format that look similar, so it couldn't be that difficult once someone was found.

Also, a possible letters/PM's to the editor and a section where people can have their own written works published might make the fan interaction seem more there.

All and all, not a bad idea. Like I already said.[/color]

Anyway, the second issue was five times better than the first. The spellcheck was very apparent and you took my advice on the images! Bravo. I like how you changed the font colour for each article to match the writer's normal font. A good idea. I want more![/FONT][/COLOR]

Very sorry I couldn't get you anything for the anime section though in this issue Nomura. I am currently finding out why procrastination is very very bad in high school...espically when you have three months to plan it out. Then I also have many many things to memorise...which procrastination has helped out rather well as well. So in all this week I just couldn't even do anything sadly. I should be able to do things this week. Hopefully if school stops [spoiler]shoving their evil school like tentacles where they don't belong[/spoiler].

Yet this newspaper still rocks, espically this one...GO SPELLCHECK! it saves us every day by not having to use the dictionary...which even if we did. We could just go and use an online version of it.[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]
