I'll have my maiden article ready for the next issue packed with bucket loads of info about current RPGs in the Square, and those making their appearances in the Inn, all of course in a thoroughly objective format ;). Ah, Eureka 7 played last night (Saturday) at 12 eastern, and I must say, it was pretty good. Better than I thought it would be, though it didn?t seem to belong in [adult swim]. It was as harmless as Naruto?s dub. Speaking of Naruto?s dub, hope ya watched the four episodes they showed. We got to hear Naruto say his first curse word! Yay! More blood was shown, so maybe Cartoon Network and 4kids are loosening up a li?l bit. Just a li?l worried. Orichimaru was a....female. Don?t remember that in the American manga. Anyway, one popular thing now...is Cellular phone manga, and so-far it?s getting some good business. Japan is going nuts, paying monthly fees for manga, and why not? Just like a book, right? Nope, you can?t stick a manga book in your pocket without somebody really wondering what the heck you?re doing. It?s gotten rather high-tech, too. When something like explosions, or gunfights, or any other source of bams, booms and pows, will have actual sounds and even vibrations. So, a new freedom? A new revolution? Freedom plus revolution equals money. I?d spend a bunch on this stuff too. But, just remember, regular manga books are still good too. Heh, whatever gets your wallet a moving away from the pocket.

This week has been slow in the gaming section. It?s far more than a port of the original title that never got released outside Japan; it?s a completely remade version with new graphics and upgrades to the story and game system. In other news, the release of the sequel to Longest Journey, (in my opinion) the best adventure game [i]ever[/i] is nearing. This one-player turn-based RPG is so far, pretty good from what we can tell by the American demo. Ah, we?ll just have to see.[/I]

X-men 3: The last stand! 5/26/06! Yes! That?s right! We waited forever for the third installment of this movie series, and it?s been announced finally. The trailers aren?t playing yet, I don?t think, but if they are, they?ve passed by my eyes. Heh.

Despite recieving no tributes in return for my kind words, I've decided to be rather magnanimous and give some anyway. Recent additions to the Inn this week included the opening of Crucifix's [b][url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=53057]The Organization[/url][/b] RPG, the Kingdom Hearts based RPG has already attracted the attention of several of the Inn's bright stars, the plot to a non-KH player like this reporter seems tight and with thirteen character places available looks to become one of the big hitters of the coming hits. Keep and eye on this one boy and girls, I get the feeling it'll turn out to be something special.

Continuing on our scope of the Inn, I've turned the lens on Oldie Jokopoko's [B][url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=52863]Stargate: Excalibur[/url][/B] RPG, not too long ago Bill was thrashing out ideas in the Underground for this little gem and now it's made it's debut in the Inn. Granted one may think me a little biased considering I've got one of the main roles, but when it comes to sci-fi and RPGs I pull no punches. Anyone who's ever enjoyed Stargates SG1 and Atlantis on TV should scooch over to the Inn now and see if this can't pique their interest.

Sadly there are far too many RPGs in the Inn at the moment and not nearly enough time for me to give them all proper space in the article, but those other RPGs that deserve to have my hat tipped to them include Ezekiel's Inn conversion of [b][url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=52548]Battle Royale[/url][/b] which for those of us who enjoyed, a relative term really, the movies should give a look to.

Moving onto the hive of activity that is the Adventure Square has seen White's smash hit [B][URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=52554]Otakuboards Apprentice: Plumber Extraordinaire![/URL][/B] has seen Team Alpha claim victory over their heated rivals in this no-holds-bars contest. Who's going this time people ? We'll just have to wait and see, but whoever goes we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed that this one keeps up the excitement it's already generated.

In just seven days Lilt's [url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=52982][b]Underground[/b][/url] RPG has managed to chalk up an impressive eighty-four replies and this simply at the time this reporter is writing the article, but the time the next edition of Otaku News is out it could very well reach one-hundred.

[b][url=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=50425]OtakuBoards Survivor: Game On![/b][/url] has become a by-word for nail-biting drama, already boasting a phenomenal [i]500[/i] replies this in one of those RPGs that only comes around once in a while and will leave us all begging for the next version when it's finished. While I've not been fortunate enough to be able to follow it's since it's incarnation, we all know that this is the big Kahuna in the Square for the foreseeable future.

Remember people, RPGs don't play themselves, it takes a effort but in the end that rewarding feelings makes it all worthwhile.[/COLOR]
