KatanaViolet
You should include more discussion in your thread my dear. It's very vague, even though I know it's about House. Anyways, that being said, I love this show. I haven't watched it from the beginning, but I just got into it this year. I adore House's dry, sarcastic humour. Like in the last episode, when he was like "Aw SNAP!" I almost fell on the floor. And also, am I the only girl here who thinks that he is sooo hot for an older gentleman? *drool* Perhaps it's just his personality but I want to bear his children! lol. Touchstone
I LOVE this show :animesmil That's not even a big enough word-I practically plan my Tuesdays around House! "Oh, I can't go out tonight-House is on." "I can't talk to you right now-House is on." It's sad, but true. This has never happened with a TV show with me before! House is just such a great character; you can't stop watching him! He's so funny and rude that you're amazed. Like when he played those pranks on Wilson, and...did a quick gynecological exam on a dying girl in an elevator :animeswea Thank God he found that tick. I'm so happy the schedule is uninterrupted until May. :D
kalon
I'm a big fan of the show, mainly because my mom is obsessed with it. Hugh Laurie is pretty good looking for an older man. Did you know he fakes his accent on the show? He's British but puts on an American accent to play House. I like how even though the show follows a similar pattern each time it's still interesting. Almost every episode goes like this: they misdiagnose the disease twice, they have some weird sickness from a secluded village in Asia on top of a tumor, then House saves the patient in the last five minutes while insulting the patient, his/her family, and his/her 3rd grade teacher. House does anything he wants regardless of the rules. I like the show better now that Sela Ward isn't his girlfriend anymore, too.

Raphael
I've watched the shows a few times on AXN, it's a great show. I loved it when House tried to stop a surgery, after failed to argue with the surgeon he spitted on him, effectively stopping the surgery process. I laughed and said "Cool!!!" when I saw him do so. He does everything his own way, remind me much of Onizuka from the anime GTO.
Starwind
I first got into the show when it first started early last year. I fell in love with the show almost immediatly and haven't been able to get out since. I've got my Tivo programed to record tonights episode. I like the dry humor and cruel remarks from House(Who is played by british actor Hugh Laurie). Yes, that's right, he is british and does have a british accent, though you can't tell from the show. eleanor
I love House. He is hilarious. :D The show isn't utterly amazing or anything, but it's fun to watch. Unfortunatley I don't keep up with it most of the time, and I've only seen about 10 episodes altogether. Also I love it when he has snarky arguments with Dr. Wilson. Did anyone here see the episode where
this guy made up a fake story about loving cows?
Oh god. I was watching it with my friend, and we nearly peed our pants. I was watching it with my friend, and we nearly peed our pants.
I remember that, it was hillarious! As House said, something would have to be pretty bad
if you would rather say you made love to a cow
. The real reason however was quite less disturbing than the one he presented House with :animeblus Did anyone else see last night's episode? Poor Wilson is all I will say! Shinmaru
Quite a bump but whatever. The third season of House began tonight. I watched a few episodes last season and liked them, so I figured that I'd follow the show the whole way through this year. Tonight's episode was good. The story with the two paralyzed patients is the usual solid medical drama you get on House with a cool moment when
the dad gets up from his wheelchair after Cuddy gives him the injection
. House himself is obviously the main draw of the show (pretty big travesty that Hugh Laurie wasn't nominated for an Emmy, by the way), though, and tonight's show did a great job of delving further into House's motives for doing what he does (especially in regards to his shift in personality and interaction with others following his recovery from the gunshot wounds) and into how House faces up to his own flaws. The ending is interesting since House stated before that
his addiction to Vicodin is not a problem in his life - breaking into Dr. Wilson's office to secure a prescription would seem to prove otherwise, to say the least lol.
The image of House sitting alone in the dark room just before that is kind of sad too. His leg sort of masked the other problems he had; it'll be interesting to see whether Wilson's decision to
not have Cuddy tell House that his treatment recommendation worked
will help or hinder things (probably the latter :p). By the way, for pure entertainment value, the visual of House on a skateboard is beyond hilarious. His use of "rad" is great as well, haha. JCBaggee
Fantastic show, couldn't imagine anyone else playing that role. Honestly. As I stated in another thread, if I ever turn gay, Hugh Laurie is top of my list. Indeed, the third season seems off too a good start. In addition to the aforementiond situations, House is a big a jerk as ever! Like last weeks episode with th alien aduction kid...
"The lab couldn't identify the metal. It may not even be...terrestrial." "Really?" "No! You idiot!"
But I stand firm that the funniest situation was the clinic patient with the MP3 player ^_^ "So is it the shape, the size...or the pounding bass line?" --Chris
Shinmaru
Thank God someone else posted in this thread lol.

"The lab couldn't identify the metal. It may not even be...terrestrial." "Really?" "No! You idiot!"

That was fantastic. I also loved House quoting The Rock in response to Cameron's theory, with him and Foreman both doing the eyebrow raise right after. God, that ruled so much. The gag with House obsessing over larger and larger viewing screens and the dad from the season premiere
wanting a bucket of Viagra
were also quite funny. Last week's episode was chock full of hilarious ****, haha. The solution to the kid's problem was awesome too. Watching House work through these obscure medical puzzles is great TV. Strong ending, too, with
the friendship between House and Wilson definitely going through a bit of a strain.
JCBaggee
Ah, yes, and Chase's awkward "Yo Mamma" moment had me laughing too. The show is just hands down fantastic. Even though it shouldn't be. Lets face it, its a pretty forumlaic show. Person is sick, no one knows why, House tortures the poor kid, patient ultimatly gets better because someone lied. But against all odds, the brilliant character writing, hilarious dialogue, and magnificient performances from ALL the actors, even the guest stars, make it one of the best medical dramas EVER. Even if real doctors hate the show... --Chris

And House's racist jokes towards Foreman. :P Personally I think the main thing that carries House is Hugh Laurie. Yes, the other elements of the show are good, but Laurie is probably the main driver. Most of witty dialogue comes from House or Wilson, and I can't really agree that all of the performances are magnificent. Solid, but not that amazing. Anyways, I look forward to the next episode, what with the whole commentor telling us they're going to prove why House is the best show on television.
JCBaggee
The other thing I've noticed about the show that's great is how the cases are handled. In most episodes, the solution is very clearly stated in the beginning of each episode. But its done in such a way that you don't even realize it, until the moment House himself realizes what's wrong. So sly ^_^ And also, its on!! Right now, 15 minutes in and its already got me laughing and thinking harder than any show on television!! If you're not watching it right now, House is probably waiting outside to beat you with his cane and call you an idiot, so flip over!! Fast!! --Chris
Shinmaru
Great episode tonight. Euthanasia is of course a very delicate issue, and I like how it was handled here. Personally, I think that Cameron made the correct decision when she
ended the patient's life.
It's nice to see her not only stating her principles but actually backing them up with action, even though it's a difficult decision to make. The ending with House patting her shoulder and telling her that he's proud of her is a hell of a powerful ending. And, yeah, House being cranky as hell during the first fifteen minutes of the show was awesome, and he was a total dick to the patient throughout, haha. He was noncommittal when Cameron asked him how he felt about
the doctor's experiments irradiating children and the medicinal advances that came from them
, but I'd like to think that at least some of House's ire towards the guy came from a disagreement about that. Who knows if that's even the case though? He could easily have brought it up merely to manipulate Cameron into helping him, though, again, I'd like to think that House has some definite morals and isn't a total asshole lol. Oh, and it's hilarious how much of a horny bastard House is. First he gets an idea for a solution while staring at Cuddy's boobs, and this week he figures things out after staring at that one girl's thong. Ha. The sneak peek for next week's episode was great too. "You can't stop our love!" XD
JCBaggee
"Give me one more day. If I don't find a solution...I'll help you die." I was actually crazy enough to think House was telling the truth, but alas, he has yet again surprised us by putting the patient's treatment above all else. Didn't he? Whether House really cares or is just seeking to satisfy his own curiousity is often left less than obvious, though its a general consensus that House really is a bad*** with a heart of gold. The biggest surprise however, by far, was Cameron's decision at the end of the episode, and the way that House slyly dodged it. Between this and House's latest fangirl, it looks like things between House and Cameron are going to be evolving quite a bit over the next few months. And how about that teenage lover? Loving House this season, more than ever before! Hugh was right, they can't deny our love!! --Chris She's using a metaphor...I have no idea what she's saying, but I definatly smell what The Rock was cooking.
Shinmaru
Better post so that JC can post!! :p Last night's episode was good.
All that **** with House's carpet was hilarious. Wilson coming into his office, seeing that everyone was already in there, and then immediately leaving had me rolling. House and Cuddy sniping at each other always makes for a good time as well.
The stuff with the underage girl was great too.
You should've seen me when House launched into the Casablanca quotes, haha. That was so fantastic. I hope that's not the last we see of her though. It seems like kind of a cop-out that her infatuation with House is a result of spores or whatever. House's, "Damn it! Damn it!" after his explanation was pretty damn funny, at least.
EDIT:

You realize House was just saying that so the girl would begin to question her own judgement, right? the giveaway was when he said 'You'll probably live.' At least, that's how I interpreted it. Some women are just sluts.[/spoiler']
Haha, that would be the obvious explanation, wouldn't it? Me = dumb. Main story was also good.
It just cracks me up whenever House sends Cameron, Foreman, and Chase to do some god awful job like strapping down the autistic kid so that they can run tests on him. And, once again, the way the show wraps up the problems in the end is pretty amazing. I wonder if every ending is going to be some type of "touching ending" this season? Sure seems like it, haha. (Unless the show made a point of ending like that even in the first two seasons... not like I would know lol.)
JCBaggee
Hrm, but doesn't it feel lonely in here? I wish someone else woudl come talk...
Let me just say that "You can't deny our love!!" is classic. Also, House stealing offices? Classic. But the underlying problem of House coping with the gunshot wound...is that going to continue? I kind of figured the ketamine wearing off would be the end of that, but apparently there's a lot more to cope with. I wonder if we'll be seeing Mr. Moriarty again anytime soon? The episode wasn't as great as most are, but it was still a solid ep. The ending was a bit touching, but I was kinda let down with Wilson's definition of Asperger's Syndrome, in that he was only relating it to House. I have to admit, the idea of House being mildly autistic is an intriguing one. Its a shame they didn't risk exploring the idea.
So, its looking to be a great season. And David Morse ("Hack", "Apollo 13") is gonna show up to play a cop who apparently arrests House. So glad this series is gonna keep airing! What? No new House 'til Oct 31? Well ****. --Chris Huh. The door...it says my name. What a curious, curious typo...

The mystery surrounding the wavy lines really had me confused for most of the episode, but more often than not I'm just struggling to follow along with the show (rather than solve the medical mystery myself.) The relationship between House and his ex is getting much more tense as the show progresses. I imagine this, and his growing relationship with that other doctor girl, is going to come into play at some point.
I do have to say that putting a bloody carpet back in House's office is probably a major health concern, though. Especially since it was lying in a dumpster for most of the episode. And House suffering from Asbergers? Brilliant! I watch Boston Legal and one of the supporting characters suffers from that, although his condition is played up for laughs more than anything else. I wish they had delved deeper into the idea of House having some kind of specific disorder, as it really adds a new perspective on the character.
-Shy
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Having seen only one episode of House on my way back from Australia earlier this year, I'm not exactly sure what to make of the show. I enjoyed Laurie's rather caustic and cynical attitude towards his profession in the face of the facade of altruism most doctors present themselves with. Again with only one episode it's hard to make definitive statements, but overall I enjoyed the mixture of drama and medicine, not too heavy like ER can be on occasions and hopefully they'll start running it on an Irish network so I can see it.
Guest WAffleGIR09
LOL! HOUSE IS HILARIOUS! i lerv his humor! has anyone saw that one episode when he does that menicle(sp?) laugh? i think it was the episode where they were going to put the heart of a dead woman, which was still beating, into another living guys chest or somethin' like that. I also like the new episode of the autistic boy.
JCBaggee
What a month! What an ending! House came back in full force last Tuesday and introduced a new character played by David Morse (Apollo 13, Proof of Life) who's looking to make House's life hell (Morse is signed on to play the character for six episodes, I believe)! Just when you thought House's leg problems couldn't make things any worse,
he's arrested for possesion of narcotics and DUI
0_o Oh, its been such a long month... --Chris

It was so chock-full of hilarious moments.
Wilson being the dominant one in the relationship and then House and Cuddy's test at the end were both the greatest scenes ever. And Chase would head the bets, wouldn't he?

I'm glad Foreman came back, because I liked all three ducklings. Of course, #13 just reminds me of Cameron and #6/9 (I call him Kumar, lol) slightly of Chase, which is good and bad. So far I haven't really taken a liking to any of them, except maybe Kumar and Cutthroat *****.
