Journal linking

I have a rather odd question i guess.

Recently someone has been attempting to scronge up all types of info about me on the internet. I was afraid of them finding my journal, this person in particular could do lots of bad with it. Any who they don't know my otaku username but they could find out my email easily enough.

I googled my screen name and my journal was the third result, it was a direct link to it. It said it linked becasue of my profile stats since i put that in my profile in case someone wanted to email me.

I deleted any info in my profile that would link me to it but when i google it the same thing happens even though the info is no longer there. I used another computer and it did the same thing. I was wondering if anything could be done about it or if i should just go ahead and delete my account.

[color=#4B0082]Google only updates their search database every so often, so changing the information on the page won't affect search results immediately. So unless this is really urgent, I'd wait a few days to see if the search results change before doing anything drastic.

Though I'm a bit confused here; are you talking about deleting your myOtaku account or your OB account? If you mean your myOtaku account, you could just turn your page off rather than deleting it. Just go into the Edit Profile page, and the very first option is a drop-down menu to turn your page on and off. I think if you turn it off, everything will still be saved for if/when you turn it back on, but I'm not positive about that so you may want to ask around and see if anyone else knows for sure.

If you're talking about your OtakuBoards account, however, you could just have your screen name changed. Either I or Dagger can do that easily enough. Just send one of us a PM.[/color]

Thanks, and its just MyOtaku i am worried about. I will check in a few days to see if the search results are the same.
