Well, it's not really a quote to live by, but it's a quote I stand by, it's:

"I do not think much of the man who is not wiser today than what he was yesterday" - Abraham Lincoln.

I mean, we learn new things every day, and if you are not wiser today than what you were yesterday, then there is not much to be thought of you.

I follow this one two, although its possible that my interpretation is a bit different. The way i see it, if someone messes with you, make them go through judgement before you forgive them. A basic example would be what some people call the "silent treatment" (or ignoring them completly). This causes misery to the person who has wronged you. Therefore, you are putting them through a pennance of sorts before you forgive them.

Theres also something cheasy my friend told me once which goes:

"a flaw only becomes a weakness if you refuse to acknowledge it". This can be interpreted as know yourself or work on your flaws. This may seem like a strange one (due to my explanation). Still, thats one more flaw i need to improve (people skills :animeswea ).

Certainly not a quote to live by, and it could be viewed with humor. To me it I think it means that you cannot always assume anything is going to turn out the way you expect or even know as fact. I may be reading into it too.

I live by two simple quotes. The first one I dont know who wrote it but I think it is a very good quote and I live by it daily "What does age matter when love is involved?" I really like how it breaks boundries in the way society thinks, who decided that it should be looked down on for you to be happy? I mean if I love someone what does age matter? My second quote I live by is just as powerful its by the fantastic 4's awesome THING! "ITS CLOBBERING TIME!" <_<

Another of my favorite quotes is from Final Fantasy X: "Outside the dream world, life can be harsh, even cruel, but it is life." Auron meant it literally, but it still can have meaning in the real world. Life hurts sometimes, and sometimes it could be easier to shut yourself away in "the dream world", but that's the coward's way out. Even if it hurts, you still have to live. You can't run away from reality.

I have a personal favourite one 'If not found out then a Lie becomes the Truth' which I heard from Suikoden 2 and was said by Captian Rowd. It's such at true saying even though I don't personally live by it. I thought it's so true as when lied to enough and not discovering it's a lie then we consider it the truth.
