Anime that need a sequel/continuation

i think fruits basket should have a sequil to it for the simple reason that they leave sooooo so many questions unanswered and so much information left out. you dont really learn anything about the peoples past, namely yuki, and he and kyo seemed to have the most troubled pasts, but they answered about kyos past. i think the one i would want to learn most about would be shigure, and why he decided to be a book writer.

i agree that FLCL needs a sequil, too. im obsessed myself, but not as bad as you make out your friend to be, MoonlitStairway

Hellsing. The ending posed so many questions:
Do they find the makes of the freak chips? What about Integra? Does Alucard change her to a first -gen. vampire? Does Celes Victoria battle her urges to live the life of a vampire?
Thanks to the budget being cut short.

Another anime that I think should have a second season is Gravitation. Gravitation only had 13 episodes.:( I like how the characters are drown and I like the voice actors for all the characters.:) From here on down is major spoilers if you didn't see the few episodes in Gravitation.
In the last 3 episodes it got more excting because you learn more about Yuki's past. When Yuki was I think 16 went to New York to go to school. Yuki didn't look lie a reguar japanese boy because of his hair color and how his eyes are shape, so Toma took Yuki to New York. Also Toma hire a teacher for Yuki in New York to help Yuki in his studies. Later on you find out Yuki kills his teacher because his teacher was a bad guy that was selling Yuki for 10 dollars to these bad guy that are trying to kill Yuki.:( Also there are some questions they have not answer like Do you ever get to see Shuichi's family, Does Bad Luck get to be number one band in the world like Nittle Grasper, I want to see more of the relationship between Yuki and Shuichi, and Hiro and Ayaka.
Trigun needs a second season most definetly. Is that it? It's an awsome series, but is that it? Hellsing, as well. I saw somthing online called "Hellsing: Psalm of the Darkness", but I'm not sure what that it. Are we going to see a second season based on some ideas from the manga, or what? And lastly, "The Guyver." It finishes at episode 12, but goes on for a bit in the manga. But it the manga was never finished. . I hope we don't have to wait to long, or that these shows won't get second seasons.

I'm not sure if I'd want a whole new series for it, but finishing off the anime for Love Hina with another movie or two would be nice. The anime didn add in a few new and interesting things, like Kentaro's character, but it never really offered the finish that mangas 13 and 14 did for me.

If one show had to have a sequel, I'd pick Excel saga.
The anime was Funny as hell, why not? It'd make a good show to see what happend to Excel and Hyatt after the world blew up, or Puni puni Poemy!
POEMY POWER!!

Witch Hunter Robin deserves a second season. I haven't seen the ending yet, but I've heard some fans are disappointed with the ending. I know that the Factory collapses and this girl who looks like Robin shows up at the STN-J. There could at least be a new wave of witches with new powers. Or maybe Amon will hunt Robin... Or maybe the STN-J versus the new girl...

Fruits Basket should definately have a second season! The anime only answers questions through book 6, and not even fully and where I am we're on book 12! I believe Japan is on book 19 though 20 is already in Hana to Yume. *Spoiler Alert* We're finally getting information on Yuki's past in the first chapter of book 13, when he has his parent-teacher conference.

If anyone wants to discuss spoilers with me, either reply to this message or PM Cia-Chan! =]

My friend had an episode but I only saw like 2 seconds of it. It was hilarious!

My nominations would be Fruits Basket and Gunslinger Girl.
KatanaViolet, please remember to explain your answers. Posting lists does not help in conversation unless you explain the reasons behind each item. For example, why do you nominate Fruits Baskets and Gunslinger Girl? - Arvi
I know its been done to death but Getbackers should have had a movie with them fighting the
Brain Trust
. They pretty much gave up on what could possibly have been the Best Arch in the series and went home. When I think about the fights they could have had
aganist the Gods of the Limitless fortress
I want to cry :animecry: . The whole Return to the Limitless Fortess Arch sucked. The fights were a huge dissapointment especially
Ban vs Akabane
. I guess we will all have to settle for the manga.

They should come up with a way to make a sequel to Rurouni Kenshin
Syrius, please be sure to improve your post quality. Maybe explain why they should come up with a sequel to Rurouni Kenshin. This helps conversation, and that's what this board is aiming for. Thanks. -Arvi
Instead of saying that they need to make a sequel to Cowboy Bebop, I'm going to say they need to do a prequel or a little OVA/OAV. Mainly because I want to see what happened during the times Spike was in Red Dragon. They could also show how / why he became a bounty hunter, met up with Jet and whatnot as well as explain Len and Shen's role. Showing a little bit of Vicious past wouldn't hurt either (mainly his time on Titan with Gren)

I also agree on the Rurouni Kenshin sequel... except I'd rather have them do another prequel. Showing Aoshi's past during the revolution.

I would say Hellsing, but there's no point in saying that now.

Ryuuho Kazuma or anybody!!! Cowboy Bebop had a ending that sucked and should have a sequel. Rourouni Kenshin a anime that needs a sequel!! Thay need to make one!!!

I think Fullmetal Alchemist should have some kind of crazy sequel/spin-off which would star Roy and his flunkies. Maybe in a hot air balloon travelling to distant places in search of adventure and solving crimes. Of course Black Hayate would accompany them and Armstrong would pop up now and again to lend a hand. I?m telling you no janitor, mayor or watchman would be safe with Black Hayate and friends out to get them, ?If it wasn?t for you meddling kids!? etc.

You know the sad part is I would actually like that show.

Failing that I would like to see a sequel to Neon Genesis Evangelion, I mean what was that all about? I would even be happy with a remake of the series with a different ending. All through the series the questions kept building up until the finale, which was just totally weird and answered nothing, I think Ano might have pulled random script pieces out of a hat and went with it. So I would like a sequel that makes sense and I want it now, not tomorrow, now......ok I?m willing to wait until tomorrow but that?s it.

And exactly how did Cowboy Bebop's ending suck?
Because the leading character died at the end?
That's probably one of the greatest endings to a series ever. In any case, I don't want to take this to an off-topic debate so.... "shrugs"
i think it would be tough to make a sequel to most good anime. the story is so complex and well written that in the end, everyhting is over, its THE END. there are no cliffhangers, everything is tied up and there is nothing to worry about for a possible sequel.

that being said, if there was one, nothing can match trigun, i want to see trigun 2
i know im not oringinal but i 2 think there should be a trigun season number2 I got so in 2 it i stayed up all night watching the first one and full metal alchemist (which should also get another season) i only got 4hours of sleep for 4 days i then slept four 16 hours

i agree about not having a sequel to Trigun or Cowboy Bebop. Bebop is such a good series and would be almost impossible to top, and like Solo Tremaine said, Trigun went as far as it could reasonably go. some anime aren't meant to continue in my opinion, i mean all good things must come to an end, right?

one anime i wish didn't continue is Tenchi Muyo. although it's very popular and everyone wants to know what will happen next between Tenchi and all of the girls in the house, it was a good series while it last. actually, i wouldn't mind a sequel to that series so much except that i thought Tenchi in Tokyo was a really pathetic continuation. it completely tarnished an already excellent series through it's low quality animation, storyline, music, and lack of some of the original voice actors ((Ryoko!!!)).

two anime i would like to see continue are Furuba and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. both are really good series which ended supprisingly suddenly. i remember staying up all night with my friend watching the last Furuba DVD, crying when reaching the last couple episodes, and reaching the last one which was good, but left us hanging. we sat there thinking, wait, this is it??. it seemed like they quickly tried to squeeze a generalized ending in that episode so they could finish the series, and i feel that FMP didn't even do that much. i LOVE both and hope that isn't all they have for us.

Not sure if I'd say that FLCL is one of the greatest all time animes ever made but I think that they should definetly make a season a 2 for FLCL. Which wouldn't be too hard since there were only 6 episodes made.
