(Of course, we could just use the "common sense" rule, but not everyone has the same idea of that, either.)

This set-up works with fewer people, but it looks like we've got an as-yet unknown number of people who want to play. I'm a little out of my depth. =]

But yeah, naturally, if you edited a post with the finished product, of course it's okay to update/bump the thread saying that you have edited your original post and the floor is now open. I was a little surprised when a couple people didn't do that.

Basically, I chose this set-up because it 1.) links the two versions of each character together, and 2.) makes sure that everyone who posts their own character to be drawn has already participated.

The list is a good idea, but I don't have time to update my original post every time a new character is posted (if I did, I probably would have posted more often already, though I'm trying to sit out since there are people who haven't gotten a turn yet.)

[FONT=Arial]Suppose we could try again, but this time have sign ups as a preliminary thing (like some of the graphics contests). After a deadline is met (say one or two days), Sara, or whoever else is in charge of the thread, can make a schedule that shows the order of posting. Something like...:

Person 1
Person 2
Person 3
Person 4

...etc. The first person in the lineup will post their character, then Person 2 will redraw it and post their own character. That way, you don't have to worry about double posting or missing a post because the artist edited their original one. This will continue until the last person accepted posts their character, and the first person will redraw it. This will eliminate confusion and keep the thread from going on endlessly. It could become a annual-ish kind of thing, if it's really all that popular...and judging from the current response, it is.

I'm just eager for my turn. :D[/FONT]

I actually did a combination of all three images combined. I added the scarring and damaged eye of the second character. I wasn't sure what was being held in his hand, so I just placed the left hand behind the back and the other holding the skull from the first pic. Hope I did alright.

This is an original character from the Star Wars universe. He is a rogue Sith warrior who wishes only for constant battle. He is terribly scarred all over his body, and is blind in his right eye. He uses two red light sabers and wears only his cloak, no shirt, and pants. His hair is just long and pushed back.

EDIT: He is done, however the quality was lowered when i scanned it because the stupid thing is stuck on low so I apologize ahead of time. Not only did the scann make it scratchy, so did the fact that the thing automatically saved as jpg. (And my pen skills suck)

The girl attached is a pokemon fan fic character. As you can see her left eye is whited out. This is because she is vblind in that eye. She also had a mesh like skirt but i didnt really put that in when i colored her on my pc. Nida is her name. You can twak her clothes if you like but her hair (if you color) has to be red, and her eye has to be the way it is. Other than those have at it.
