cancer
This took me about twenty minutes max. Done in pencil only. It is actually the villain, and then parts of the castle in the background. You can see the dragon in the sky above him. Dragon Warrior
Sadly I hate to do this, but this round I must remove someone not for their drawing ability, but for the fact they did not follow directions ;) Han ki-tae I'm afraid drew the Dragon when I said you should draw anyone but the dragon (but you may draw the dragon as well if you wish). I asked jigglyness if her dragon was the villain dragon and was informed it was a hero dragon there to fight (reminds me of Spyro). Sorry han ki-tae. ROUND V In this round, we're going artistic. And not just artistic, fancy old fashion artistic. You are redrawing the Mona Lisa. That's right. Draw it in your own style, but try and keep some specifics to it that make it show it's still the Mona Lisa. For those of you who participate in the "Draw My Character" thread here on OB, you may enjoy this round. Have at it! Due date is July 15th. Have fun. It's just black and white, done in only pencil. Dragon Warrior
Sorry to hear that, jigglyness. Very well. FINAL ROUND DUE DATE: July 25th (or whenever both pieces are submitted) This shall be drawn in full color. This is your masterpiece of the whole competition. Make it worth your while to claim the title of Dude of Doodles. You are drawing a realistic picture of scenery. You may use any medium you like for this such as painting, colored pencil, pastels, whichever. But as I said, this is a realism picture. Do not draw abstract or cartoony or anything other than real. There are more requirements. The picture you're doing is of a sunset at sea. Listen carefully to the following so you do not make a mistake. The bottom half of the picture should be the ocean, the top half should be a sky with clouds and of course, the setting sun. In the bottom right-hand corner, make a church tower as if we're viewing this ocean from the air right next to the tower. Then, lastly, in the sea, I want you to draw ships. This picture could quite well take place in the 1700's-1800's, therefore the ships you shall draw must be ships with sails (such as pirate ships). Two ships at a minimum, but draw as many as you wish as long as the sea doesn't look cluttered. This round may take quite some time since there are so many requirements and you must color it fully. That is why you have 'til the 25th. I hope you use your time wisely. Good luck, gents, and soon we shall see who's the true Dude of Doodles. Zen
Considering that I've never drawn a beach, sunset, old sail ship, or chuch tower ever before in my life, I think I did pretty well. Haha. I had to look up everything and put it together in my mind. The best of luck to cancer. It has been fun. Haha. There are five boats on the water. Two in the center (fighting) one in the far back, and two off to the sides. jigglyness
Even though I had to drop I think I want to give it this one a try to challenge myself. Best of luck to The Boss and cancer. :) looking forward to see the results. edit---------- well it seems like i can't make the submission date for this one either. ^^'
cancer
Here is my final piece, on which I used only colored pencil. A beautiful sunset. Good luck to The Boss.
Dragon Warrior
It was a tough choice, but when it comes down to it, I had to choose this one. This year's (and the very first) Dude of Doodles is cancer. If you wish for reasons for this, some would be how smooth the edges are and how well blended the colors were. It was simpler than The Boss', but sometimes that may make all the difference. I still congratulate The Boss for the effort put forth and how good of a job he did :) Proud of you both.
