Anime Favorite Anime Couples

Okay, before we get started with this, I want to make it clear that the purpose of this thread is to talk about couples that already exist or that seem likely, not dream pairings (yes, I just added this because I know we'd get a lot of Sasu/Naru OMG they're so hot!1!!11 otherwise). So... which couple's your favorite?

I really like Yumi and Manager Ueda from Chobits. Every time I read the manga that part chokes me up a little. The fact that they love each other so much despite their difference in age and despite [spoiler]Ueda's previous marriage to a persocom[/spoiler]. Clamp does an excellent job making the love-conquers-all thing work without overdoing it.

While we're on the Clamp mindset, I also loved Toya and Yukito in Cardcaptor Sakura. You can tell they genuinely care about each other... it's so cute. And the part where [spoiler]Toya gives up his power to Yue to save Yukito[/spoiler] was easily my favorite part in the series.

I'm sure I'll think up more, but that's all I've got for now... your turn!

I have to say Mustang and Riza. All through Full Metal Alchemist I was saying 'get together at the end, get together at the end...' though it was only till the end that [spoiler]you got hints that they did[/spoiler]. Though they don't act in the most obvious to-be-couples way I still think their really cute. She cares so much for him, even in her formal, quite way. I love the scene when [SPOILER] Riza has to trip Mustang over so he doesn't try to use his Flame Gloves on Scar in the rain[/SPOILER] and when she says [SPOILER]'Theres someone I need to protect' in ep 36, as her reason for being in the army[/SPOILER].

I really love Serena and Darien from Sailor moon..but thats just because i was obsessed as a child and still am really, who doesnt love them though? it just seems too perfect, strong guy protects clumsy girl hehehe. One of my other favourite couples is Hitomi and Von from Escaflowne and to be honest i still dont know why i like them so much together. :catgirl:

In Tsubasa Chronicles, I think Syaoran and Sakura should be together. I really think they should be together because they look so cute together and their personalities match. Also because its one of my favorite animes :animesmil I do agree that CLAMP has a way of putting gradual relationships.

Personally, the best anime couple that I have seen is Shinji X Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion. From all the possible pairings in that series, it just seems that is the most likely, and they compliment each other very much (Asuka gives Shinji a spine, and Shinji gives Asuka a controlling of temper).

I think mine is Kagome and Inuyasha. He acts so tough and trys to keep other guys away from her. You know like Koga and Hoji. That just seems so sweet.

I'd most definately have to say Hohenheim and Trisha, from Fullmetal Alchemist. Though we never see too many moments of them together, I just think it's such a sweet, beautiful pairing, and how Hohenheim could possibly love no other woman than Trisha. -le tear-

I thought it was so adorable that Syaoran was so willing to sacrifice Sakura's memories of him to bring her back. I love them both so much. ^^

I also love Ritsuka and Soubi in Loveless... I know, kinda creepy since Ritsuka's what, twelve? But they're really cute together. I love the side of Ritsuka that only Soubi can bring out. Seeing them together gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

Mine is Ichigo and Rukia. I think they compliment each other because they're both sfot-hearted and tough but in different ways.

I think Sango/Miroku from Inuyasha are great together. It's always good to get a little comic relief from the dramatic storyline, though the Houshi needs to learn to keep his hands off before Sango beats the living daylights out of him...even though it's plain to see that she likes him.

Another favorite would be from an oldie but a goodie in my opnion. Lantis/Hikaru, from Magic Knight Rayearth, are just so kawaii together though the height difference somewhat irks me, heh.

Then, of course, there's the pairing from Naruto that most yaoi-lovers would have my head for: Sakura and Sasuke. Personally I just like the angsty romance types. :P
And Masashi-sama did a great job with those two. However, with the way the anime has gone so far, and I'm going by subs here, I have to admit I have a few lingering doubts, but that won't stop me from the fanfics on the pairing. So yea.

[b]Sousuke[/b] and [b]Chidori[/b] from [b]Full Metal Panic[/b]. I think I like these two before 1) you get to see the development of their relationship through the anime and 2) Sousuke's whole attitude to the whole protecting-Chidori-thing. It's all very funny.

[b]Tsukasa[/b] and [b]Subaru[/b] from [b].hack//Sign[/b]. Since I haven't watched the entirety of the series, I'm not sure whether these two get together or not (I'm about half way through). But as a couple, I think they're cute. They're both quiet sort of people, each having their own problems to deal with but together they are each other's rocks.[/size]

Kenshin and Karou- this is most likely my favorite couple (that male and female xD ) in Anime. I just love how they compliment each other and how their worry for each other shows and grows through the anime and manga and specially in the last OVA. I was in tears.

Hajime Saitoh and Tokio Takagi- Okay this pairing was never shown in the shows, but she was mentioned!!! I just with they did show her (don't know how she would play a part in the RK universe) but it would have been worth seeing.

This is my list of favorite anime couples-


AsukaxShinji - People some times say ReixShinji,but we all know it is him and Asuka.
Just look at the last scene of EoE

MugenxYatshuya- I don't know if it was to be taken seriously, but she did say she was going to marry him, and he was pretty into her too. (I think I spelled her name wrong).

KeitaroxNaru- Look at them, they have been together since they were like 3.


HibikixDita- They are one of the funniest couple. You can just see the love in the air.

AlucardxVictoria- The whole master servant love thing is pretty interesting.

ScarxRose- This is the least outspoken couple, but you can see there was some tension in the air.

Actually, regarding Subaru and Tsukasa, I heard that [spoiler]when Tsukasa wakes up and is found to be a girl, she and Subaru are in a lesbian relationship.[/spoiler] I think it's touched on in one of the novels (not graphic novels, the regular novels). Please correct me if I am misinformed. I am starting to see Sasuke/Sakura as more and more unlikely, since Sakura is showing signs of [spoiler]liking Naruto[/spoiler] more in the manga and anime. Plus, Sasuke is a little cold towards everyone and shows no more love for her than he does Naruto. [SIZE=1]I promise to be a good girl and not ship my yaoi couples, but I think Masashi-sensei secretly loves to feed the minds of fangirls/fanboys of SasuNaru.[/SIZE]

For favorite definite canon couples, I love Kenshin/Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin. It's good that Kenshin is able to start looking past his bloody history and find a future with Kaoru, and Kaoru finds someone she can depend on, who will actually eat her cooking. XD

Then there is Ed/Winry from FMA. I have a thing for childhood friends who end up as couples, and with [spoiler]Winry saying she fell in love with Ed[/spoiler] in one of the chapters a while back, it's a pretty safe bet that they will be a canon couple.

I have to list at least some yaoi. I like Riki and Iason from Ai no Kusabi as a couple. I usually hate tragic endings, but theirs is just so beautifully done IMO.

This isn't anime, but Cain/Riff from Godchild is quickly becoming my new favorite pairing. There is just something about the master/servant dynamic that I love seeing in shonen-ai/yaoi. Riff is the only one allowed to see and touch Cain's scars, which is just such an intimate matter even if thy don't express their feelings outright.

For the last one I'll list, I adore Yoh/Anna from Shaman King. Both are lazy, but other than that they have clashing personality traits. Cold women with sweet men is one of my favorite couple types. Plus, in one arc of the manga, you find out a lot about Anna and Yoh's history together, and it is such a sweet and sad storyline.

I really like the Yukino X Arima pairing in His and Her Circumstances! They look so cute together, and they each have their own little problems that they have to work out, together or by themselves. I think they represent love at it's purest.

I'm so weird, but I also have to say the Shuichi X Yuki pairing from Gravitation. I'm really surprised I watched the entire series. Forbidden love always seems to get to me...but it's also how people can love outside the rules placed by society.

I think it's cute how Shuichi changes Yuki, but I just don't think they're right for each other. Personally, I like Shuichi/Yuki fairly well, but I agree with you about the other couplings. Although, if you look at Maki's Gravitation doujinshi, (and is it not completely awesome that she does doujinshi of her own series like that?!) you see a mix-up of couples, so you can consider there being alternate pairings in Gravi.

I am not a fan of all of those, but it is just so awesome that Maki is a fangirl of her own work. It's the manga equivalent of J.K. Rowling writing Harry Potter fan fiction. [size=1]And wouldn't it be awesome if Rowling wrote slash fan fiction in secret? If I were her, I would. >_< [/size] It is worthy to note that these are only Remix/Megamix pairings, which means it's basically just about smut. But you can still see them as side-stories within the Gravi universe.

Although, I do hate Mika and Tohma's marriage, since Tohma is so completely obsessed with Yuki. And I think Noriko needs a slightly younger husband, as I am not a fan of huge age differences. I neither like nor dislike Judy, and without her there would not be cute little Michael, but I do not care for her to be with K. And K needs to be with Hiro all the time anyway. And you cannot blame me for the previous sentence since Maki thought it up and penned it herself.

I think that Sakura and Syaoran from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle have been and always will be the cutest couple ever. I always flip out when I read the manga because Syaoran is so sweet!!! And then my library stops at book 8 and I want to read on!!! They are so kawaii!!! Sakura and Li (or the same couple) in CardCaptors was pretty cute too... Like when they tried to capture the sword card and Li saves Sakura? How sweet do you get? I mean, she was his rival and he saved her... *sigh* "To live an anime life", as I always say...

Yes, of course, I have to mention Sakura and Shaoran from Tsubasa. Especially when In the most recent episode [spoiler]Sakura kisses Shaorans cheek. that whole physical memory theory just tickles me...[/spoiler]

I really don't like Shaorans personaliy or attitude towards the relationship in CCS. Mabye I just cant get over the fact that they are only 10... That part really annoys me since they act more like they are in middle school...

Now this next paring isn't official yet, but they are somewhat of a team, so I think that I can sneak it in...

Kurogane and Fai from TRC. Now, I really don't like yaoi parings at all, but I seem to sigh a bit when I think of them together. I love the scene when [spoiler] they are on the Clover bar and Fai is telling Koru how he relates to the song...[/spoiler] you know, the whole procter and the wants-to-be-protected (don't know a better way to say that, submissive mabye) It just seems... perfect.

Another would be Sakura and Dokuro from Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan. I really diddn't see them being together untill the last two episodes. [spoiler] It's so sweet how he would go gay for her...'Hard Gay!!!' And how when she is gone, how he just doesn't seem right.[/spoiler] Somehow, it will work.

[B]Keichi and Belldandy[/B] - can't leave these two out hehe, the story is so kawaii!!! and plus it sure is great to have a goddess for a girlfriend! hehe ooh the anime is Ah! My Goddess FYI hehe

[B]Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne[/B] - the ever lovable Gundam Seed couple, i like how mysterious these two are, both have similar personalities i can say that these two are the perfect couple :animesmil

Girls Bravo- Yukinari and miharu well those 2 are together it's always a thrill to see what would happen next. personally i would rather see yukinari end up with Kirie.

Pokemon- Ash and Misty i suppose the relationship between these 2 is kind of werid i guess they both like each other as friends but misty offten shows concern for ash in tight situations and vica versa for ash.

Gundam Wing-Hiro Yuu and relina mani wil lnever forget hiro 1st words to her[SIZE=4][B] i'll kill you[/B][/SIZE]. man that was just classic. :rolleyes:

Neon Genesis Evangelion- Shiji and Asuka love hate relationship with these 2 asuka must really love shiji as much hell as she put him through but i guess she just really inscure. and shinji is kind of spineless so i guess that why she like him?... i wish shiji had ended up with rei ayanami.
