Recently, there's been a commercial for some sort of car cooler, and it's abso-freaking-lutely ridiculous. There's this woman who climbs into her car and is just dying of heat. She stupidly wraps both hands tightly around the steering wheel, makes a face of anguish, and opens them in pain.

Their propaganda didn't work because I had no desire to buy the car cooler thing.

McDonalds.

As a nation we (USA) are the fattest in the world. McDonalds makes me angry sometimes. It's really disgusting. It's marketing campaign is mainly planned to get kids addicted to their food at an early age. For Christ's sake, their spokesman is a clown! Then the happy meal has their little plastic toys that kids absolutely must have. And even now McDonalds is taking advantage of the nation's new concern over health by offering "healthy solutions" like f-ing apple sauce instead of fries in happy meals! That's absolutely ridiculous.

It's funny, because even as a kid, Ronald always struck me as being just some stereotypical clown, and I always hated the fact that when something was aimed at me, some giggly, ridiculous and annoying clown had to talk down to me, ergh. He and his warped mind effects had no affect on me whatsoever. Stick that in yer pipe, you evil, happy-go-dancing clown.

I'm kind of dismayed that the rest of the McClan have been dropped from the ads. Ronald is just some creepy red and yellow suited clown, probably though up in 5 minutes flat.

We miss you, Mayor McCheese!

As far as their advertising goes, I've never had an issue with it, sone New Zealand ads are freaking outrageous; Like the ones they used to launch the Filet 'O Fish with the burger either getting hooked on a line, or scaring the crap out of a submarine as a "great white."

The evil commercials are the boring shampoo or skin care ones, that show slow-motion hair flailing about like it's 80's Hair Metal all over again, with some guy droning on and on about the latest 5-minute-wonder-chemical-we've-just-added-in! They do nothing for me other than put me to sleep.

Ther are a lot of commercials I like, but there are some which are totally friggin rediculous and stupid.

I'd say the worst commercial ever was this one where it opens up showing three kids in their front yard playing with a ball. The ball goes out into the street and one of the kids goes after it. The screen goes black with the sound of SCRREEE KADUNK! As the kid is hit by the car!

We then see a guy appear onscreen saying, "do you need better brakes?"

WTF?! The kid got hit by a car!! That's just wrong!

Even though I loved that song "You Can't Overlove Your Underwear," that new Fruit of the Looms commercial really gets on my nerves. The one with the kid running around in what looks like the War of the Worlds, beating things with his boxers. One day when robots do take over the world, I'll be happy to know that I can use my tank tops and boy shorts to beat my washing machine and dryer into submission. And what makes it worse is that it looks just like that Sunny D commercial with the ninja. Almost the exact same thing.

But some commercials I do love. I can't think of any right now but I know that there are some.

AUGH! Those Sprite commercials...really creepy. With subLYMONal advertising.
If you haven't seen them, be thankful.

The first one really creeped me out. Watch at your own risk.

Yeah, I've seen some of those new spite comercials, I think that they're trying to hypnotise people or somthing. :animeswea I think that I'll just drink seven up instead.
Another example of wierd advertising is one of the new car comercials with people that are bobble heads and they drive cars. *shivers* I mean really, are they actually trying to sell their products with these commercials?

The recent commercial that has induced the gag relfex for me is a Draino commercial, I think, or something like drain-o. It's so gross that I have to change the channel as quickly as possible. It shows a couple pouring the product into the drain and then you see this nasty glob flying through the air and it lands on the table of this couple that is having a romantic dinner. The couple that used the product asks each other where the clog went and it flashes back to the table. It has got to be the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I definitely remember the commercial for the shock factor of how nasty it is, but too bad I can't remember the name of the product. Ha!
