nomad19
I just wanna ask this simple question on how you deal with your games. Do you TRADE? or COLLECT? I was just wondering really, these guys at the IGN forums boast their "game collection" but other people simply just trade old games for new ones... I myself collect them, ever since i got my ps2 and xbox I haven't traded a single game, i just give my older consoles to my lil cousins as hand me downs...i have around 80 ps2 games on my shelves, and 5 xbox games....and yes with that number I even have some cappy ones such as Bloody Roar 4 :animeangr edit: actually I got BR4 for free when i bought two games it was MGS3:subsistence and KH2 at the time... Kenshin DX
Yeah I post at IGN alot. Game collections seem to have become peoples bragging rights. I really dont collect games.I buy games and keep the ones I either still play or have fond memories of. So I do trade in some bad game purchases but I like to hold onto my favorites. And Bloody Roar 4 doesnt suck just the VO is bad.
Desbreko
I keep almost every game I buy, so I'm definitely a collector. What can I say? I like to hoard things. :p Part of the reason I keep all my games, though, is because I've never been able to afford many. So I try to pick out games that I'll enjoy playing for a long time, or that I'll enjoy picking up and playing through again in a few months. Not all of my purchases are hits in that regard, but for the majority of the games I own, I've either beaten them more than once or played them to death on a single time through. In the long run, this ends up being a lot cheaper than trading in my old games and buying new ones, since the prices you get for used games are, quite frankly, crap. I also just like to go back and replay classics every now and then. I never get tired of games like Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy IV, and others. I could never bring myself to part with games like these.
Dodeca
I'm a collector all the way. Not because I want to boast about it or take great pride in my collection, I'm just too lazy to trade. And like Desbreko said, trade-in prices really are terrible anyway. Yeah... I probably have near 30 PS2 games, and I haven't played most of them in at least a year. Then I've got a SNES and N64 up in the attic, gathering dust along with their games. And a number of GameBoy games lying around too. I'd say the definitive anti-gem of my collection would have to be that ol' crapheap, Oni. It came with my brother's PS2 when he got it 3-odd years ago, and he didn't want it when he took the PS2 with him. It's just so bad... here's [strike]hoping[/strike] guessing that I haven't played that one in at least two years. :cross:

Tatsubei Yagyu
I'm truly a collector. Usually, if there's a game series I like (Megaman, Sonic, Mario, Kirby, Final Fantasy), than I'll do everything in my power to be sure that I think a game in a series I like is bad in my eyes. Like most people think the Sonic Adv. Series is but for it's camera, but the camera doesn't bother me at all, though I'd rather be Sonic than Knuckles. Speed over power any day. *Thumbs up* ;) Though, I still seriously prefer the 2Ds, to the 3Ds. Any almost every Final Fantasy game released in America (one way or another... )
BlueYoshi
As mentioned in another thread, I'm a trader. I usually tell myself before buying a game or console that I'll never part with it, but that never lasts, because I'll give it in so as I can buy the next big thing. It wasn't always that way though; within the first year that I bought my PS2, I had a good thirty games along with loads and loads of hardware such as memory cards, joy-pads, multi-taps, and even the official Sony PS2 DVD remote. It was the same story with my GameCube and my GBA too. I never sold them off in bulk though, heh. That would've been way too painful for me. I do, however, still have all of the guide books, magazines, and video game related articles that have been published over the years, and am currently rebuilding my video games collection, owning over ten games for the PS2, but I have no GameCube to boast about. :(
The13thMan
I'm a collector with trader tendencies. Truly it depends on the game. If it were a game like the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, then there is no way in hell i'd trade it. But if it were Chester cheetah....actually that's a bad example, i like that game. ^L^; Uhhhmmm.....Batman and Robin for the snes, then i wouldn't mind trading that in for something else. Chester Cheetah! Later.
