John
In fairness, IE does have tabbed browsing available now (>_>).
Yes, but IE tabs are pretty awkward from what I've used. Rather slow, and it actually seems to open a new window when you click the New Tab button, and then reduce it into a tab in the original. It's a bit of a hassle.
And John, I believe that the majority of sites are now Firefox-friendly, but there certainly are those annoying ones.
Yes, but for example, I play a game that, as of a recent update, requires me to open the launcher application through IE (horribly stupid, I know). For whatever reason, it won't work in Firefox, even using the IE tab extension. So I keep IE around for that.
eleanor
My sister egged me to start using Firefox because she claimed it had less spyware or something. I really didn't care so I switched at her insistence, and now I use it by default. Sometimes I don't use the tabs properly so I'll have two windows up with two or three tabs on each, and I'll get confused but too lazy to switch. >_>; But I am a tab-whore. At one point I had 8 or so tabs open at one time. Also I like the convenient bar at the top you can put your most visited sites on. I'm pretty sure you can do it on IE, but Firefox makes it more obvious or something.
Morpheus
At one point I had 8 or so tabs open at one time.
Pansy. Going through Wikipedia, I sometimes have enough tabs to go off of the side of Firefox. Some tabs aren't shown, and one half occupies the space for the Close Tab button. You achieve the half and half effect at 34 tabs, and the unseen ones beyond that number.

In any event, I have found the beauty that is RSS Feeds, and having them update in Mozilla Firefox as soon as they're posted (On BBC, CNN, or New York Times). I really enjoy being up to date with world affairs, and this is the answer to my prayers. Firefox, how I love thee!
DeadSeraphim
If you like RSS feeds, get a real aggregator. Simply having a link to the content isn't anything compared to actually being able to read the content without visiting the website it was fetched from. Also, the Firefox implementation is inefficient, as it's still downloading all the content (full feeds, partial feeds), just isn't letting you use the (sometimes large) amounts of data that are stored between content tags. A proper aggregator would make use of that content so you wouldn't have to visit the actual page.
Retribution
Firefox works for what I want it to do. However, if I could have updates (perhaps a little notification box that pops up and slides away) when news is posted, I might have to get a real aggregator. Are aggregators clunky/visible, and how does it look when the feed is opened?
DeadSeraphim
They usually operate similarly to a mail app, at least mine does. It has the classic three pane setup, with items in the top, content in the bottom and feeds on the lefts, and gives notifications the exact same way as Mail 2.0. There are online solutions as well though, like Bloglines and Feedlounge, but they've never interested me so I don't know. lol
Luck Cl
I just started to use firefox and am liking it.I like it because the tabs make it much easier to switch between sites instead of switching between firefox pages.
vegeta rocker
I love Firefox, it has so many cool extensions. download embedded is definietly one of my favs. it can download trailers and any other embedded pics of videos. For someone in an entertainment field this is crucial. I constantly need inspiration and what better way to store some on my computer to browse through whenever i want? sakurasuka
It's not digging if it's still on the first page, right? I don't know why they don't just make it Firefox/Opera freindly already, but it has become rather annoying. I use Opera as my main browser. I downloaded it about two weeks ago, and I'm absolutely in love with it. The tabbing feature is of course, one of my favorites. I also love how it keeps your tabs open even if you close the page. Imagine being able to have most of the same features as firefox plus a prettier default face plus the widgets<3 plus the ability to remember what pages you have open if you shut down your computer. How handy is that?

SunfallE
I primarily use Firefox. It works well and I like the tabbing system as it?s very handy for when I?m visiting lots of different sites. As for this question:
[I]Why On Earth Do People Use Internet Explorer Or AOL Explorer?[/I']
For a while (before many tech jobs were outsourced to India) I worked for Microsoft Tech support. So it was only natural that I used IE as it was required for my job. In spite of people?s complaints, I never had any issues with IE and I still use it on occasion because as DeadSeraphim put it.. ?it works? I started using Firefox for the tabbing features, but now IE has that as well. But I?ve grown use to Firefox so I continue to use it as I like it. Boo
I'm now studying Digital Communication. All the school computers in our building have FireFox as the standard browser, so I'm stuck with it. On my own computer I still automatically use Internet Explorer, but that might change due time. I need to use them both anyway. Whenever I need to browse or test a webpage, I'll need to check the page on both of them.

Delta
Firefox user here. Switched from IE to Firefox in 2004 because it was new. Tabbed browsing was just a bonus that I found out about hours after I installed it. I could use IE since it already offers tabbed browsing but I can't figure out how to make it load pages faster. Plus, Firefox's Download Manager keeps me coming back. Question: Many of you say that Firefox is more secure than IE. If I have a paranoid firewall on, will security for both browsers be on a par?

matt3402
To be completely honest, I love Firefox. It's expandability and UI far surpass IE in my opinion. I sometimes overabuse the tabs, and the AdBlock, as already mentioned, is amazingly handy. To list my extensions to Firefox: Web Developer Toolbar AdBlock Color Picker And, a screenshot for me as well. Note: I'm not on a Mac... mangamaniack21
I use internet explorer even though it drops the server somtimes. It still coneccts to the internet and works so I'm okay with it. I have used firefow though, but the only difference is that it seems faster.
DaSilva
I use Mozilla Firefox. The things I love most would definitely the tabs and the adblocker. I love how absolutely noone uses AOL.
